North Florida Lawn & Pest in Jacksonville

A year and a half ago we had North Fla Lawn & Pest lay sod down after our Pool Builder destroyed our lawn. They did a great job so we decided to hire them to maintain it from weeds and pests control that could damage our investment. They sent out a technician named Noel who has been taking care of our lawn ever since. Noel is very professional yet friendly, always arrives with a smile and a good morning. He is also very knowledgeable about lawn care and gives us tips and pointers on keeping our lawn healthy and thriving. He always arrives on time and gets right to work then before he leaves tells us what he used on our lawn maintenance ,why and watering instructions after treatment. Noel is fabulous, we are very happy with our tech. This company is also family owned and they care that their customers are satisfied with their service. If we have any issues of concern we call the office or text them pictures of concerned areas of our lawn and office manager Bambi is on it right away sending either Paul or Anthony to address our concerns. We are happy with our service and have recommended friends to give North Florida Lawn & Pest a try

Been a customer since 2016 and have been happy with the service Bob and the technicians provide for our yard. Prior to working with NFL&P we fought to control dollar weed, sedge grass, fungus, insects and grubs, and other pests; even re-sodding areas a few times. Their team was able to get the yard back in order and have kept the dollar weed and other pests away!

Very satisfied with my experience with North Florida lawn and pest control, I was away from my home but was able to observe the technician Bob on my security cameras, i watched him as he performed maintenance on my house and lawn. I was extremely impressed with attention to detail cleaning the overhangs of the house, the overlapping spraying of the lawn. I was so pleased with his performance and how he represented his company well.

Ive had them about a year now and my lawn has never looked better. Easy to work with them and Bob in particular. The notify me in advance that they have me scheduled and then knock on the door when they arrive, no problems. The lawn techs look professional and thats a plus.

Brad is an amazing yard technician. We have been very happy with his expertise.

Stay away from this company. Michael came to my home to give me a quote regarding replacing sections of my lawn. I specify asked him if his company would be doing the replacement. Not once, but numerous times he told me North Florida would be replacing the sod. First, it took them almost 2 months to get sod to do the replacement and on day of install guess what? Their company did not show up. Some other company showed up and did a mess of a job. Not only did they destroy 2 sprinkler heads during the install, they refused to do sections of sod that were clearly marked for replacement. I paid for 2 pallets of sod and after they had replaced what they felt like replacing, they still had a pallet and a half of sod which they started to move back into their truck. Sod which I had paid for. At this time I called Mike and he head to my house. Once I told this third company that Michael was coming to inspect, the pallet that had been placed back into their truck mysterious was taken out and placed on my driveway. After the job was completed I had to call Mike numerous times to come out and have the sprinkler heads replaced and after a day of calling and texting I cancelled all my services with them. They are one of the few companies in the Jax area that charge a cancellation fee for lawn pest services. When I called to cancel their secretary mysteriously forgot to state they had a cancellation fee. This company should be called Mysterious Lawn and Pest. Be careful with this company.

North Florida has been our lawn service for a few years now and they do a great job at a good price. Just worked with Bob to add termite protection starting in 2025 as our last company was purchased by a company overseas.

A sale rep by the name of Bobby call my phone this morning and I had no clue what he was talking about. Then he became very rude calling me names with profanity and told me I sure watch out he knows my address. I call the office and gave them the number that call and they confirm it was Bobby. I filled a complaint with the office.

He was very professional and detailed in his explanation of the issues I was having with my yard and how they would handle it. So far, I am quite pleased with their work. Will give a follow-up review in six months to give a more accurate long-term review but, for now, I am quite satisfied.

Noel has been treating our yard for several years and this past season we also added on mosquito/pest control. Always happy with the time Noel takes to treat everything (even brushes down old cobwebs around the perimeter of the house). He s always keeping us updated on how often we should be watering everything and will stop by for follow ups if we ve been having any issues to see if things are improving. He educates and gives us knowledge as well so we can maintain the appearance of the lawn in between treatments. Thank you for everything you do!

Tech was over an hour late. I specifically asked when making the appointment I need a leak found and an additional zone added. I asked if they had a leak detector to hear my leak. The original rep over the phone said yes. The tech came, he was very nice, he jlistened to what I wanted then told me they have no leak detector. Then he called the office and talked to his boss on what all I wanted done. Boss told him to look for a spongy spot in the yard. Heck. I KNOW TO DO THAT! Thus the reason for the leak detection machine I asked for. Then told him on how to cleas a line. I was totally disappointed and now Im sure they are going to want a service call fee and 1 hour labor. I will ask them for WHAT! Against my wishes the Tech checked all my heads. He told me that is policy and he had to do it. Never again.

Really good company did great job keeping bugs dead.

Had this lawn repair service for a year. Paid in full up front. During the year, had a tech just do a drive by and put a sign in my yard, no service. After calling the company and providing my Ring camera proof, they came and sprayed my yard. After one year of service my lawn never looked different so after my contract ended I cancelled service and went with a great and reputable provider. However, this company kept showing up at my house and billed me for it. Both times, I intercepted the tech and told him to leave. No service was ever provided. The company refuses to honor my cancellation and is telling me that I agreed to auto renewal. I did not and it is nowhere in writing. I definitely do not recommend North Florida Lawn and Pest. I would give zero stars if it was an option.

I m very pleased with this company. Michael Cue, sales agent, was very informative and friendly. The men who delivered and placed the sod worked well together. I received helpful emails from Bambi giving me updates, tips on watering, as well as acknowledging my payments. The sod is so thick, the sprinkler heads just barely reach the surface. Best of all, I received a quote from a competitor, that was $1,000 higher. I would highly recommend this company.

First, let me tell you we switched companies couple months ago (Florida) since then we hadn t have no issues. Today I was here when Brad came to do the service and I have to say WOW!! he went above and beyond my expectations, no wonder we haven t seen no critters crawling around. Thank you again.

We were referred by our neighbors who were having their yard re-sodded and we also, purchased a half of pallet of sod in October as well as 12 months of maintenance services monthly starting in October. We asked the Salesman if it was better to wait until Spring to sod and he assured us that the sod would come back in the Spring as long as we received regular treatments. Fast forward to the Spring and the sod DID NOT return. It is lifeless! Anthony came out and assessed our yard and offered to Resod 140-150 square feet of grass where the Bermuda has taken its biggest hold for $375 and Add grass plugs where the turf has sustained some winter damage for $175. I continued to ask why they wouldnt re-sod the areas for which the sod did not return, especially since my neighbors who experienced the same damage were having their issues resolved. We went in circles with his response being that Bermuda grass area is not from weather, its an invasive grass that is throughout the community. This is where we suggest new sod. I then asked why we were being charged to re-sod when they were assisting my neighbors that referred us by removing the Bermuda and replacing sod while we, a minority family, are being asked to pay for sod and plugs. I added that This is very unjust and unethical. We will contact the office to cancel services and I will forward the information to my Attorney. Anthonys response: Its disgusting that you wrote that. Truly gross. If you knew a shred about us you would know how ridiculous your remarks are. We explained to your neighbor that we would only fix a small section for her as a courtesy for referring to all her neighbors but we couldnt do any more and the quotes we gave you were at our cost. We were trying to help! We dont even offer partial pallets - we did for you We dont do plugs - we did offer it for you. No need to call our office - I cancelled your account. What is gross is being out of $600+ on sod and services only to be asked to spend $550 to do it all over again. Using this company is a 50/50 risk as with any business, but I strongly encourage families to seek services from Companies with ethical and equitable practices!

Did not have a good experience. Began with not a great start with the sales representative not getting back to actually setting up service to come out to spray. That was issue one. Oh he was great about selling and getting my card information but when it actually came down to setting up a date to spray it went quiet. I had to do the leg work to call the office to set up a date. Now here I am where Ive taken off to get spraying done this morning, I arranged a 8 am appointment, its 845 no one is here. I called and was just told oh sorry the tech had something come up, I told them I have a 9am conference call I have to be on.. Oh well he can be there in 10 minutes. Yeah no, that would be 5 mins of time. Thats just not going to happen. Its miss after miss. If you cant put a customer up front, just be honest about it. Dont promise someone something, if your going to be late, contact them. I could have made arrangements. Give someone some courtesy. You could have had a good customer. Now you will have someone who will be the opposite. Thanks, North Florida pest. For nothing.

Brad made my first experience with North Florida lawn care a very pleasant experience. I recently acquired the termite control and lawn care weed/feed services and Brad came by for my first visit and was very informative and showed he cared about our lawn. After our former lawn and pest service was bought out by a big company, the quality and service we were getting was poor. I found North Florida Lawn and Pest while searching for a local company. We have been with them almost a year and are very pleased. After our lawn was resodded, there were some dead areas that appeared. The owner, who is very knowledgeable, came out and explained what was happening and even shared some UF resources we could find online. They came out twice to treat the fungus at no extra charge and the lawn looks great now. Noel is the one who treats our yard and is professional and knowledgeable, explaining everything he is going to do. Kelly in the office responds to texts and returns calls very quickly.

Our church lawn was dying so we called North Florida. They removed all the old sod, treated the soil to kill existing weeds, replaced the sod and worked with our irrigation company to insure proper watering is being maintained. Our lawn is now the healthiest it ever been.

Very upset after months of paying to get my grass looking good and having fired another grass company North Florida advised they were better. However 07/17/23 I ended up letting them go. My yard is damaged front and back ate up with sod worms. Not very happy and when I called to cancel the woman on the phone seemed unborthered and just said ok.

Michael Cua is our contact person at North Florida Lawn & Pest. He is very professional. He set up the wokrs that needs to be done on our yard like the irrigation and sod installation. Sod was installed this morning, we are happy and satisfied with their job. They left a clean work area.

I was promised weed control and grass regrowth with service provided for over 1 year. The grass has never improved in any way. A complete waste of money. They promise results and then blame other things once your under their subscription. A worker over the phone even threatened to retaliate and come after me if I left a review of their services. Robert came to my gate a few days ago and I had a wasp nest in my security camera. He killed it in one quick shot and was very kind to me. Im TERRIFIED of wasps and he changed my whole week around by killing that nest. I give Robert a 12 out of 10. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

When I signed up the sales person Mike said he would personally manage my account. After using them for about a year my lawn began to look worse. Often times they came while it was raining out to spray. When my lawn looked terrible and was full of weeds I canceled service and they continued to show up. I would not recommend using them. If you do use them I would not give them your credit card information or you may not be able to cancel service. THIS BUSINESS IS NOT BBB ACCREDITED.

This company has stopped returning my phone calls.I have not had any service since May 6 which was not satisfactory But yet they are still taking payments from my account even after I left messages that I was cancelling my service..I have filled a complaint with BBB and alerted my CC Company. Update:Yes I hung up the phone once you started raising your voice calling me a liar.I went through my Ring camera and it did show one his technicians on May 6 but he only did lawn not pest control .So trying to solve this by yelling and calling me a liar is not My idea of trying to work with me.

North Florida has done an amazing job both with my lawn and pest control. They took my lawn which was in poor/fair shape and in just a year have made it really excellent. The pest service has also been great. The best part of working with North Florida is their techs (Noel is fantastic) and their customer service. Very responsive.

I had a horrible experience with this company. I hired them to install sod and bought a pallet. They patched a large section but promised me that they would patch some smaller holes with the excess sod. I even asked the installers to leave the extra because they said they werent going to do the patches for me.The sales man that I worked with also talked me into a regular lawn and pest control service, I asked if they would start that about 4-6 after the installation. He also insured me that they would contact me before each treatment so I could tell them if I wanted to come. He said of course but they came in just a few days without my consent. I had to text them and asked why they came at all. The sales man refused to acknowledge to me that he said this to me and refused to refund the charge. Secondly when I saw the job it was apparent that i did not have a full pallet installed and they should have been leftovers. The owner did not believe me and had to come out to verify. He said they could not patch the spots for me like was promised and the sod was already gone so they woudnt bring it to me. (I had paid for it) The owner gave me a partial refund that cover the installation cost but not the actual sod that I had paid for and wanted. Lastly the came again to treat my lawn way before they were supposed to and did not tell me they were coming AGAIN! They charged me of course but when I called to get a refund on this service they werent supposed to do they refused to give a refund for everything but the last charge. I am absolutly disappointed with this company. If you hire them get it all in writing and dont give them your credit card.

This company is by far the best pest control service we have had in years ! Our technician Noel and is very professional and knowledgeable about lawn care . Noel (from North Florida Lawn & Pest) has been the person performing the pest control, weed control, and fertilization for the last 8 months. I live in Atlantic Beach. It is very beneficial to have the same person perform these services each time. Service has occurred according to commitments made. The previous company would just show up unannounced but NF lawn & Pest calls ahead of each visit. It sounds simple but good customer service is hard to find these days. I moved to Jacksonville from San Diego in August of 2020 and have been having this lawn company service my lawn. It was almost dead a year ago and it looks really good now! Cant say enough good things about how well my St augustine lawn looks.! Its a smaller company so they are much more personalized than the big companies. My neighbor has another bigger company and neither him or I have ever seen them at his house.

Jay is the tech who came by this time and a professional, courteous, just genuine guy and a pleasure to work with. He s fast, knowledgeable, relatable, kind, I mean can t say enough good about this company and Jay. And as far as the pest control! Never ever have issues with spiders, ants, roaches, no matter what your fighting for your home, NFLP is the real deal exterminator. It s affordable, it s effective and their just an overall pleasure to work with. A previous time, my wife s grandmother bless her heart sent a dining room table for us to have to eat at at our new place but roaches had infested the table and chairs. I had to toss it all in the dumpster and time was of the essence to stop the spread of the German roaches We called NFLP who made space for us, came over the next day and the roach issue was a non issue and they were just so kind and professional. I work really hard, I work long hours, I m critical about where my money goes as far as services and products, I have no problem giving my loyalty to NFLP. I currently use North Florida Lawn and pest for my lawn. This time I used them for in home pest control. A quick phone call on Monday and they were out here on Thursday to take care of my concerns. Brad was very helpful explaining how to resolve my pest issues and mindful of my pets. This company is very quick to respond to any requests or concerns I may have. Very good customer service.

Finally a company that told me what they could do and did it. I have been through three companies and all I asked was for help with my lawn. I just asked If you see a problem tell me and help me figure out what to do about it. Dont lie or try and sell me something you cant do or that wont help. I can take the truth. I dont have the time or the money to waste on anything else. Rico came out (great tech by the way) told me the problem with my lawn and all the brown spots. We still have some work to do but my lawn hasnt looked this green is so long I cant remember. Thank you so much.

This is a great company! They revived my yard from a previous company burning parts of my yard. They have kept my lawn looking amazing. I would recommend them to everyone. Great prices and good customer service.

I called and cancelled my service, they are still charging my credit card. Their services does not make a difference in how my yard looks. Tiny yard and cost is way too much

Worst in Jacksonville!!!!

They have been servicing my lawn for 9 months and yard looks awful. I water lawn 4 days a week for 27 mins and lawn looks awful. I paid for and entire year up front and they still sending me bills saying I owe them. Stay away from this place at all costs.

Hired them 2 months ago for lawn weed treatment, just got a second letter from HOA about weeds. Called them earlier in qeek amd was assured someone wouldncome treat them...now its Friday late afternoon and they still have not come and no one answers their phone
