LawnStarter Lawn Care Service in Jacksonville

My service came at dark and didn t complete work. Company sends notices with No Reply emails. Communication is poor!

I have been cancelled on three times in a row. Terrible company. My lawn is overgrown now. They do not hold their pros accountable for not showing up and rescheduling repeatedly

Update from 2 to 1 stars: We tried again, and gave the service another chance. First team cancelled without notice, second team was terrible and left cigarettes in our garden, third was great for thr one time he came, and then vanished without notice. The service is cheap...but NOT worth the additional hassle. Highly recommend against using them. Service was great with the first crew we had. They had to cancel service and we were told for 2 weeks that someone would be there during our scheduled window, and last minute we were told no one was coming (one time after the crew messaged and said they would be there that day). Recommend contacting a crew directly, as this is a middle-man scheduling service, and they do not have the ability to speak for the crews they schedule, in our experience

Absolutely the worst second party service you will pay for!!! They sub the work out to companies that can t keep business and I know why. Pay the extra money and get an actual reputable lawn service owner.

I have had LawnStarter for some time now. Mr. Kenneth has taken care of my yard for some time now. Hes never failed me and has always taken care of the yard and hedges. He does a great job and am very happy with the whole LawnStarter service. Its very easy to use and anything I need I just put in on the LawnStarter app and it gets done. Prices are good and work done is always great. Thanks LawnStarter and Mr. Kenneth for always taking good care of my lawn.

I scheduled an appointment with this company, but they never showed up. It was a complete waste of my time waiting for them. Very disappointed with their lack of professionalism

Never showed up and the only response I got was my gate was locked. I have been home the entire time NO ONE showed up. I called the company and they said they would send a request for the tech to come out - no response at all. BUYER BE WARE.

These guys do a good job cutting the grass for me! Additional services can be arranged, if needed: they mow, they edge and of course, they use leaf blowers to make sure the driveway looks good after they are done!

Worst and ridiculous service ever I reached out for a ONE TIME lawn moving and leaf removal, they told me they were not able to do the leaves removal bc they didn t have the equipment (which is not my fault) Then they wanting me to pay ANOTHER lawn moving so I could reschedule the leaves removal even though I told them I was about to move out so I just needed ONE TIME SERVICE. But of course bc they already charged for the lawn mowing they don t care anymore. I reached out to get the service you were supposed to do and bc your employees didn t want to now I couldn t get the additional service. Ridiculous customer service, employees and supervisor PLUS the lawn mowing was SUPER BAD, it seems they just did that in 3 minutes and left DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT A GOOD SERVICE AT YOUR PLACE

They cancelled 2 weeks in a row because it was too hot in June in Florida for them. Then they finally sent someone and he missed my backyard. Fraud

My husband hired this company towards the end of April. On 11 May 24 he received a text stating that the m w crew was on their way. Five minutes later he received a text saying the lawn was finished. No one ever came out to our property. He sent an email complaining about not receiving service but it was unanswered. Sure enough his credit card was billed for services not received. Unethical business practices. Avoid this shady company.

Horrific scheduling. Charged more than advertised. Broke my gate and refused to fix it. Terrible service. You never know what undesirable they will send to your property.

Most horrible scam. They promised they will show up on 3/16. On the day they cancelled saying due to inclement weather. Weather is perfect with no chance of rain all day. I call - and no one ever picks up. Then I see they reschedule for 3/19, and then got another message saying we decided you dont need our service until 3/25-28 so canceling. I have on idea what they are doing other than this is a complete scam they tried to steal my credit card information to register. Stay away from this company they are a scam.

Benjamin does a wonderful job. My lawn looks so nice and he even does up to the road. It is nice not having to worry about the lawn. Someone stole my lawn mower and I had to find someone quickly and Lawn Starter was a great alternative.

I requested a change in crews and LawnStarter had no problem finding me one. The new one man crew so far has done a better job than the last crew. I hope he keeps it up.

Will update when first cut is performed Update : First cut was performed and it looks BEAUTIFUL. I haven t seen my yard look this good in a while they trimmed up, removed all the leaves and cleaned up very nicely. They also edged the curb and driveway so nicely, I m beyond happy with our services. Gomez was our yard guy and he was excellent in communication and provided out standing work! I can t stop looking at my lawn

Very professional, work with my schedule and are always here as scheduled. Their web site is very easy to use and if you still have any concerns, their customer service people are available and do actually, help with a friendly attitude. I highly recommend LAWN STARTER.

The young man Anthony was amazing. He always did amazing work. I had to make some budget cuts due to inflation. But this young man was amazing.

Crews unreliable! Had cancelled this service only to have them reactivate my account & then bill me for a job that they never did (nor had permission). The are associated with LawnLove another deceitful name in this scam service.

Terrence is a very capable gentleman. I m grateful he is taking care of my lawns needs.

So far not impressed. Cancelled first time. Second time showed up without notice. Then charged long grass fee without notice. I have poor grass no grass in most of the yard. Very hard to find a service but so far not good... Keep looking!

Dejon and his partner did an excellent job. I gave them a substantial tip and hope they continue to provide this service. Older review: After reading the other reviews I may be wasting more very valuable time but I try to give new small businesses a chance to get the problems worked out. They ask for my phone number with the sign up so I hope a real person calls me after I have invested so much time trying to use their phone app product to actually get a human to my home! No offers of making any kind of compensation for my losses of the service allowing my lawn to grow and grow and grow, after I have paid for my service and scheduled appropriately as requested. Rain has been the excuse but all my neighbors managed to get their lawn service to show up, yours hasnt.. still. I had to get a friend to mow it a nd wait again only to be delayed again and will probably be cheated into a tall grass fee? We shall see. I will update this review as soon as I receive a phone call and then after the problem is resolved or made worse. Again hoping for the best.

But overall I have to thank LawnStarter office members for taking care of concerns quick response to make right. This service offers a great way to effectively communicate with lawn services. The employees are super hard working and efficient. When I have issues, I can submit a claim to LawnStarter and they respond quickly.

Professional always a great job done

UPDATE: Customer support got in contact with me to correct the issues we had with our experience. They had me setup with a different mower with LawnStarter. With LawnStarter I truly believe its who you get started with. I am guessing it could be a company that has been doing it professionally for the longest time or someone that is looking for some side money and has a old mower laying around. If you do go with LawnStarter make sure the person you get connected with knows what they are doing and reads the the notes you add in the app and you should be good. Initial Review- Avoid at all cost. You would be better off trying to pay a kid down the street to get your yard done. Any notes left were ignored the mower showed up with a mower that was barely serviceable. What was cut was completely jagged and ignored notes about the power cable in the back just cutting right through it.

My fiancé called for service on 8/7 which was a Monday. We were promised service on Thursday or Friday that same week. Friday came and we got a notification that our scheduled service was cancelled. After 2 hours on hold, we find out the lawn person was given the incorrect address. They made no attempt to call or text us for the correct address, they just cancelled us. We were then promised we would be assigned for the next day, which was Saturday. Of course nobody showed up, someone texted they were on their way, and now it s Monday (1 week after initial call) and our lawn is overgrown. My fiancée had to spend another hour on hold to cancel. Save your time and call somewhere who has their business together.

The crew they assigned me cut my yard the first time and it was perfect. Second time they called saying they were on their way to my yard and to get my yard cleaned up. Now that youd given me a 3-day when they would mow Saturday Sunday or Monday. They called Saturday morning I was not home and could not pick up things in the yard. So I asked them to reschedule for the following day. They scheduled for the following week. Then they called the following week do you say my crew could not cut my yard and they would try to find another crew. Again they extended the time frame To Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday. My yard was out of control by this time and they were going to charge me a double length fee. I finally hired someone else. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

Lawn care services had my tree removed around my AC Unit and cut into my AC unit and now saying we may have to pay for it from our homeowners insurance when they were liable. never going with them again, they are negligible and careless and still wants you to pay for their work

AVOID THIS COMPANY! I requested my lawn to be services every 15 days. They came first time. After first visit it was problem after problem. They kept canceling me, pretending they came and saying it wa dcanceled because of animals in my backyard ( and I have no animals) and many other fake reasons, not even coming to my property. I ended up canceling with them. Got over 30 days without a service that was supposed to happen every 15 days.

I just had to cancel my account for the 3rd time. They keep trying to send people out to cut the lawn even after I told the last crew they tried to send out that the account/subscription was cancelled and have someone else mowing my lawn.

If you are looking for a choice in Lawn care, they work to improve the Lawnstarter app UI, so it gets better with time for me. I have been using LawnStarter for about a year now. They are an absolutely wonderful service. I am disabled and live on a fixed income. I am amazed that they offer this service for such an affordable price. The amount they charge me has been consistent. It never changes. If you need to skip a service, all you have to do is go into the app and click a button. After every service, if you just rate them and put a post on Neighbor you automatically get $10 off your next service. This is not a one time thing. For every service and every posting you get $10 off the next service. Not many companies offer promotions like this. The only downside I have is the lack of communication with the lawn vendor. The first lawn vendor they set me up with was amazing. They would text before coming you and if I needed to reschedule, even 30 minutes prior, I could. The last two vendors dont do this. They just show up. I really liked that text before coming service. But other than that really great service. And, if you need other services done, even just one time, like tree trimming, etc., you can schedule all that through the app. Ive had to contact customer service a couple of times and they were easy to reach, no long hold times, and quick to resolve any issues.

The price charged is standard for my area. My lawn is always done well, quickly and on time. There is great communication if anything happens to my appts which has only been once. I have the app and can do any postponement/restart etc easily and quickly without having to call. I can also instant message who is cutting the lawn directly from it if there is extra to be done which is super convenient.

I have used this lawn service for about 2 years now. They always do a great job and are very reliable. They send reminders of up coming service and give me the chance to postpone if service is not needed. I only have to pay when actual service is complete. I highly recommend this lawn service and John. Great communication and he promptly responds to my texts even on weekends.

My crew has been incredible! They show up when they are scheduled and if not they let me know well I m advance they can t make it (which only happened once). My yard isn t the biggest or have much grass but they are awesome with the yard work!

Isaac and LawnStarter is the way to go. Service is consistently great. Pay by the cut, not by the month. Mow scheduling and other communication can be done by the customer via the LawnStarter app. Coordinate mows with any leaf raking, fertilizing, slow/fast growth, weather, off season, shoulder season, or other yard activities. Get notified by text when they are on their way to mow. Overall great system.

LawnStarter Lawn Care Service has been great. My elderly sister and I are unable to mow our yard and Robert mows, trims, and blows off the driveway and sidewalk in about 30 minutes! Wish we had started using them last year when we rented our house!

I set up a request for lawn services using LawnStarter and was pleasantly surprised that my assigned lawn team was able to mow and take care of my lawn needs earlier than stated on the site. The contractor assigned to me completely took my fence door off it s hinges. Having issues getting them to come out and fix the door. It keeps falling off! When they broke the door they didn t even knock to let me know. Or even try to fix it when it happened. Completely unprofessional.

Brian has been servicing me with my lawn for a month and I am very happy with his service! I live out of state and it s hard to see what is done but I completely trust that Brian will do a great job for me! Keep up the great job Brian and know that you we appreciate everything you do for our home!

The crews are extremely unresponsive and unreliable. I have had 2 crews stop coming for no reason or notice and the latest crew has missed the past 3 appointments. When messaging them they are unresponsive most of the time.. the times they did respond they promised to come and never showed up. I do not recommend this company. Terrible the way they treat paying customers.

I have been with LawnStarter for several years. I recently had a change in my crew. I had an issue with the new crew and when I reached out to LawnStarter they quickly refunded my money and set me up with a new crew who did an outstanding job.

They are prompt and do a very good job

We have been waiting over a week for a crew to cut our grass. The crews that are scheduled do not show up, but customer service promises they will. Daily phone calls do not help. We are not new customers, but have been given the impression that the crews they hire prefer not to work. The grass is now over knee high and our home looks abandoned. The irony is that the grass is now so high that they charge a high grass penalty. Seek service elsewhere.

I called Fri, June 17th use the service for the first time. I was scheduled for Mon, June 20th. Supposedly someone dropped by my house and claimed that they couldnt access my property & that I would need another quote because edging of yard was overgrown. That is ridiculous when I have no fences or gates on my property. I was told that edging is included and I hired a lawn service because I dont own an edger. Now Im seeing the little nickle & dime charges that are conveniently tacked on. Not to mention my last mow was three weeks ago & it will be tomorrow or Wed now before someone can come back! The agent says he cant speak to the crew but I have to! BS!

Jeremiah is excellent. He is on time and my lawn looks spectacular!! It is less expensive than buying a lawn mower!! I love this service. If you need something extra, he will accommodate you.

This company was the biggest headache. Not one encounter went smoothly. It honestly would ve taken less time out of my day to mow my own lawn than it did to constantly beg them to just do the job I paid for. (For the record, I contacted them based on the comment below and never heard back surprise) 5/30- Charged for service and receive an email that my lawn has been cut. No one shows up, lawn was not cut. I submit a ticket and 48 hours to be told they mowed the wrong lawn. They show up and mow. 6/12- Again charged for service and receive an email that my lawn has been cut. Again, no one shows up. Messaged the provider and he says again his guys cut the wrong lawn and he ll see what he can do. 24 hours later no reply and Lawn was still not cut. I submit a ticket and receive a $15 credit but no follow up. I followed up with lawn starter and they told me my option are to accept the $15 credit (meaning I still paid $40 and received no service in return) or pay back the $15 and they will try to get a crew out this week. Crew finally shows up a week later, awesome mow but I m charged double because my grass was long due to them not showing up. 6/30- Crew shows up. Talks to me in front yard , mows my front yard then loads up their equipment without mowing the back. When I go out front the ask about it they speed away and send a message saying they couldn t access my back gate. Thankful 3rd of final mow of the contract and I could cancel this constant headache.

Will set a date to come out and not come out. Company will lie and mark lawn as serviced and complete despite not completing it. Wouldn t recommend.

Im changing my review because I used to be a very loyal customer and used to praise the service I received. That is, until they changed my crew on me. The new crew was never able to keep the schedule. Never showed up when they said they would. And then ripped me off by double charging .me. I made my complaint to the company and they refused to help me. I no longer trust this company. And I didnt appreciate the blame the customer, zero accountability, condescending approach.

Very easy and convient to use

Absolutely the worst. Youve been warned. Well be there on Wednesday...No, sorry, now its Friday. Actually, no it will be next week...Oh, wait, now well be there at the end of the week...Well, we cant get there this week, so well be there next week. But they make sure you sign off in a three week minimum. The absolute worst. I hired a kid in my neighborhood to do the work. He came the next day. LawnStarter is a funny name because they dont actually start. If I could give them a negative number of stars I would. I also find it funny that there are no three and four star reviews here. Amazingly only five star reviews. These have to be fake. The truth is, this is a poorly run organization. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else.

Set up my account, had a schedule, waiting on the 1st cut, and crew never showed up.

Ive used this device for 2 months and have been commicating with their customer service more frequently than catching up with my own mother. First issue is that the crews dont read your special details. 1st time this happened I informed the crew to announce themselves to my renter before servicing the backyard. My renter has pets and children she didnt want running out of a randomly opened gate. They didnt follow the instructions, then the crew was rude to my tenants and left without servicing the lawn at all. Next at another property I wrote special details to NOT cut the wildflowers in the front lawn... They were murdered. Getting that corrected felt like they were giving me the run around and I had to speak to 4 separate people. NOW they had a crew cancel due to weather, then the crew canceled servicing my lawn, they finally got a new crew out 9 days after the original scheduled date... And they want to charge me for having long grass. The customer service is completely through email and 100% majority of their responses are copy and paste jobs which are most likely bots. DONT USE THIS SERVICE. Save your time and sanity.

There was not a crew assigned for days and no one ever showed up to complete the job or reached out to reschedule.

They are fast and efficient. You just sit back and let them work magic.

Working through third party

My lawn was very overgrown due to constant rain in area for couple of weeks now. Service delayed several times because of this, but when Michael came & got most of this mess cleaned up, I am totally satisfied.

I use this on a daily basis, its a good way to find customers.

LawnStarter has been extremely unreliable and a bad overall experience. I had 3 different crews no show and drop the service in a period of 4 weeks, so my yard went for a month without being mowed despite new crews picking up the service, no showing, rescheduling and then cancelling. Prior to the last bad month, the crew who was performing my WEEKLY mowing, no showed me for over a week and then tried to charge me a long grass fee! Which was only long because they didn t show up for a week. The customer support via email is very polite, but they don t actually resolve any issues. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

They were supposed to cut my address and did not they cut my neighbor s yard then proceeded to argue with me about how I m supposed to pay for my neighbors yard to be cut because they already cut it. The people are extremely rude.

Great service

Go straight to the source, they use third / second party. Was not impressed by the work that could of been done my self. The two guys that arrived where ok. They arrived 40 mins before sunset so it seemed they where on super tight time frame, doing things little to fast. Which I totally understand I ve been there. Also not arriving on schedule. No attention to detail with leave pick up missed more than several spots in the yard. I will use my three cuts then on my own on the job. I thought I d be nice an give them a decent review on the LS App.

LawnStarter is an easy way to get lawncare quickly and be able to control the care provided. You can stop and start anytime which is convenient. They offer many services that you can add on as additional services. Overall Ive had good experiences.

Never an issue. I get notified before they come cut and when theyre finished. Chat function lets you ask the technician whatever questions or concerns you have. All around great! Shout out to Gerrard Peterson. Great job!

I asked the guy why he didn t edge my front yard by the sidewalk and he said that hasn t been edged in years- I would have to take a machete and edge that . Of course I wanted to charge me an additional fee because he thought the grass had grown too far over the sidewalk which was not the case.

This team is on time, quick,and they do a great job. I love the text message when they are en route and a text when they are done. Great price as well.

These guys were suppose to clean my yard up and not only did they fail to do that, they couldn t even give the yard a decent cut missed a few spots neighbors even pointed out what a horrible job they did haha! I mean come on you have one job dude. Wish I was over exaggerating but what an incredibly disappointing experience, would never recommend these people to anyone. Also they dumped a bunch of leaves into my garbage can ( ??). I just don t get it.

I would say that most of the people that have bad experiences with people wanting to charge for additional services, canceling and new crews coming is because Lawnstarter charges less than the should for yards. They quoted my yard for $29. I have never been quoted 30$ for my yard, I have a huge back yard, the cheapest has been $40, from a friend in past years. Honestly they should charge more due to the convenience factor! Plus the yard crew wouldnt be asking for more money for little extra if they were paid a decent rate. I would feel ashamed to only pay someone $29 for my yard. There is reason people (and myself included) dont want to cut their own yards in Florida. Its hot and mowers, edger, weed eaters arent cheap can cost $ to upkeep.

Lawnstarter has the worst service out there. I had couple of there lawn crews, they either do no call no show or break things and never want to fix it.

My in laws use lawn starter. They charge her card every 2 weeks.. $47 and add a $9 tip. They charged her account on April 25th and their lawn still looks like it hasnt been cut in.a month. Tried calling and was on hold Ober 6 minutes each time and still have not received a call back. Shady business!

My yard was hacked up by this company. I specified what I needed to have done, went over it with the crew they were going to send, made sure the yard was completely picked up & didnt even need to have hedges trimmed. Pretty easy job. The yard was supposed to be cut at 3.75 high but overall at was cut < 3. Probably 15%-20% of my front yard was scalped in various places b/c their mower couldnt follow the contours. The blade on the mower wasnt sharp at all, it ripped the grass apart. Maybe 50% of the edging was done & in those areas where it was attempted the result was uneven, patchy/partially completed. Nothing was blown off, my carport/porch/windows are covered in grass clippings (glad its windy today). They ripped up some plant leaves with the edger or mower (theyll grow back so not a loss but that shouldnt happen). They killed an amaryllis from my deceased Moms garden. The crew that showed up had a new mower that they probably didnt know how to use. The edger/weed-eater sounded like it would die & they couldnt use it properly anyway. They didnt even bring a blower. They obviously dont vet the people they use.

Nobody showed. Twice! The first time I was rescheduled due to inclimate weather despite the fact that there was none and was rescheduled. I was like okay no big deal. Two days later I recieve a notification asking to leave a review for my completed services. Nobody had come and my lawn had started to look like a jungle. I called and they said they would send someone out in a few days because of the fourth they couldnt get someone out until after the holiday. So my yard was a jungle.. but whatever they said they were gonna find me a crew that would come out and do it. Monday comes, nobody shows. Tuesday comes. Nobody shows. Wednesday it rained all day so whatever. Thursday I look on the app and see that the crew that was supposed to come out had canceled and I was once again rescheduled. So 0 stars on their actual service but their customer service is on point. They stopped the charge from the 1st incident and allowed me to cancel my account with them without any hassle. So Im sure theyre great, when someone actually shows up. But I wouldnt know.

They did great work in a short time and it was a great deal

It was always a hassel. They dont show up when they are supposed to. They are always rescheduleing. The crews are not courteous or professional. Ive had 3 crews in the last 3 months. The last crew was the worst. He got right in my face and was very discourteous.

So I have been with LawnStarter since beginning of June. It is now July the 12th and no company that they have contracted has cut my yard. In fact the 2nd company they put me with texted me today saying the could not come today and it would not be until Friday. They also have a 3 cut minimum policy which is stupid when the lawn crews don t show up and they charge you an initial fee. I am very disappointed with the level of service I have received from this company.

I never leave reviews but this is so bad I am compelled. Lawnstarter completely butchered my lawn, to the point that I now have to spend THOUSANDS replacing ALL of the sod in my front yard. Contractor came to my house every week and mowed my grass down to the dirt (I was NOT on weekly service). The entire lawn is ruined and lawnstarter refuses to even respond. The best they have done to rectify this is by refunding for the $$ the charged me when their contractor came weekly even when asked repeatedly not to. And all they have to say for the contractor was that he doesn t know how to use the app so he didn t know. I have been trying to get in contact with a property damage supervisor for over a month at this point and she will not return my call no matter how many messages I email or leave with customer service. This is completely unacceptable. Unless you want your property destroyed do not use this lawn service!! The pictures I am including are what I am now left with. And believe it even when the contractor got it looking to this point he still came by and mowed this again, even after service had been cancelled!!! Do not do this to yourself. Pay more for a better service and don t let this happen to you! UPDATE: Made contact with the person who responded below. Person has never contacted me back. This company has horrendous customer service. This person responded to appear as if they were going to correct this situation. NOTHING has been corrected nor has anyone from their customer service even been in contact with me verbally. This has gone on for months with no resolution.

Horrible expiernece. The yard was never completed and never weeded properly. They sprayed my entire side of my car because they didnt have a bag on the mower.

I have used lawn starter over the last 2 years. Ive had issues with my fence gate being damaged and they did refund me the amount of the repairs. In the last 6 months I have been rescheduled almost every time they were supposed to come out to the point where I have had my neighbors come up and ask if they can help with lawn work because at times they wont come out for a month rather than every two weeks as they are supposed to. If you dont mind your house looking abandoned theyre a great service to use.

My wife and I had been using Lawn Starter services for just over two years, with little to no issues. We typically alternate between. Twice a month in the winter to spring, then weekly in the summer through fall. We had the same team for most of this time. Then suddenly, we kept getting postponed, and the team would not show up for the reschedule date because of threat of rain or some other excuse. Then their equipment didn t work. Slowly they began postponing on make up dates. So we fired our team. Then a new team started, great reliable job twice, then they dropped us for no reason. Then a new arbitrarily assigned team, with postpones and no shows again. I contacted the company through email and phone, and I was refused the right to speak to someone in charge, so I could get to the bottom of what was going on. So I got rid of the company. Very unprofessional, with a blatant disregard for customer dedication and basic rights. I had to give them a start to write this up, but I take it back and give Lawn Starter a 0. Save your money and hire a local business instead.

They have did two no calls/no shows since I ve been with them in a matter of 3 months

They missed their appointment twice. Each time they missed their appointment, they pushed the dates back even further. 3 weeks we went back and forth with them on the phone and no one ever came to our house. One guy canceled because of weather. It was bright and sunny all day long, no rain in the forecast. When I called, a guy watching a very loud tv was extremely uncaring and scheduled me even later. Meanwhile, the grass is getting longer. Waste of time.

Update: After posting this review the company emailed me and refunded the last two services that were provided. I appreciate this response by the company. I would still not recommend their services but Im glad that they reached out to make things right. Its now been 3 weeks since my lawn has been cut. They are supposed to cut it once a week, but no one has shown to do so. I call every week to report this and am told that someone will be there the next week. I called twice today and was assured that a company would be here. No one has shown. Because I believed them for so long Ill now have to pay another company extra because the grass is so long. Save yourself the huge headache and go with a different company.

Prepaid for service and was told they would be arriving in 2 days to mow. After 4 days, still no one showed and after I called they said they are having trouble finding someone. After 6 days, still no show. I called for refund and cancelled service. I do NOT recommend to the fullest!!!

I m giving three stars because at the beginning of our services with them it was amazing. Crews always came when scheduled and a good job was done, also the rate was amazing. Recently over the past few months we have started having issues. Crews kept canceling the mow (personal reasons excluded those are understandable) then they advised our yard was over an acre (which it is not) and they were going to raise our rates way above what we were paying. We called customer service who could care less about our troubles and didn t inform us on anything she was doing and treated us like a bother. It has now been almost two months since our last mow and our grass is out of control. This is not the first time our grass has gone this long without being cut. I m not the kind of person to leave bad reviews but idk what else to do at this point. I feel like they are hoping thar we just cancel service so they don t have to deal with us anymore. We have been pretty easy going about the whole situation but I m at a loss.

Used LawnStarter for the last 8 months and service was ok. Crews didn t always message back but the work got done. Now they can t find a crew in the area (for the last 3 weeks) and have just now canceled my service. No-one called me to alert me, just an email saying we can t service your location anymore due to lack of crews. My house is located just off JTB and A1A in a very populated area in Jacksonville Beach. Would not recommend even starting with them as it seems crews don t stay around long. They ll just cancel you in the end and cause a lot of issues and phone calls trying to figure out what even happened. Get on with a good lawn guy instead of them.

This service has been bad from the beginning, the website is great and easy to use but the contractors they hire are terrible. they damage your property then leave, they do not complete jobs, they do not do a good job and they dont show up on time or on schedule. I would not recommend this company to anyone. if you value your home or the lawn around it DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. 3 Weeks of use and no answer to my damaged property possible legal action may be required for the repairs. This company denied any wrong doing and was playing a middle man between the sub that did the damage and my self delaying the entire process. do not use this company.

Larry is always going above and beyond for our lawn service. He s been cutting our lawn for almost 2 years and have always had a positive experience. He has even went out of his way to fix my fence that I didnt even know was leaning over and needed attention. If you re looking for an excellent lawn service this is the one!

I m 40 years old and have never left a bad review for any company in my life, but LawnStarter has changed that. The quality of the cut I received from them was horrendous. The line between my yard and my neighbor s was so poor and swerving that I will have to cut her yard to fix it. A palm frond was laying in the yard and they mowed a circle around it. They weed-whacked the flowers and the pool screen.

Very dissatisfied with service. Scheduled 1st time appointment for 2 weeks out and they tried to charge my credit card every day for pymt one week ahead of appt. Service had NOT even been completed. Day of appt, the lawn tech comes out after 7pm and completes what he states as much as can be done in the dark but will complete the following day but NEVER shows back up. He never trimmed hedges, partially mowed lawn and partially cut down some weeds. Left tracks and destroyed partial grass area in backyard with his riding lawn mower which I specifically said not to use. And you cannot speak with a manager and when you are finally able to reach a live person to find out when a tech will return. They cannot give you an estimate other than to state I will have to wait 24-72 hours for the original tech to respond back and give him another chance to fix the problem. And thats with me requesting s different guy!!

This company does not stick to its scheduled appointments. Before even the first service the company cancelled multiple times. Citing weather when the sky was clear and beautiful all day or because a car was parked out on the street in front of the house when the service was for the back yard. They cancelled saying the grass was too long but that was because they didn t come for two weeks. When I reached out to customer service they cancelled my service without even trying to resolve the issue. Would not recommend this company unless you want to end up doing your own lawn care.

Had one team member for a year, gave benefit multiple times. Out of 24 mowing requests he rescheduled me 13 times and usually did a mediocre job. Eventually, the last time he rescheduled me, I asked him why I was always the last house on the last day of service. Not only did he ignore me, he rescheduled again, so I fired him....I wonder if he wonders why he didn t get a single tip. The next guy they sent me was on time but cut my grass so low that he either burnt it or nearly duh it up. Awful awful awful. Wouldn t recommend lawn starter to anyone.

They are never on time Supposed to get service every other week and they usually go 3 or more weeks between service.

The idea seems good to have one company (LawnStarter) take payment and organize a crew to come do my yard locally, but it actually seems to be a problem rather than a simpler solution. There s a weird fundamental disconnect between the people dealing with customers and booking the crews and the actual crews themselves. My crew cancelled on my 4 or 5 times once (reasonably because Florida weather and one personal emergency) but then when he returned to do my yard I was charged an additional fee for it having overgrown in that time. When I contacted LawnStarter they said they would issue a discount to correct the overcharge but the crew clearly didn t know that and they sent the additional fee to my account to be charged anyways. Now suddenly it says there isn t service available in my area.

So this website is a joke. Their pro prices are joke. They said most jobs pay 27$ yet they are charging the going rate at 42$ a cut. Beware this company is a joke and wouldn t even bother trying them any company with common sense will know 27$ a cut won t cover ur expenses . While these jokes bank more then half for nothing check other reviews they say same thing

Have had a great experience with Michael and his crew. They are on time every other week, do a great job and are in and out in less than 30 minutes. Great value for my 1/2 acre lot that has a lot of grass.

Dont even bother...they will not show up, they will promise a day and time just to promise it for 3 more days, and everytime they say another crew took it they tell you they have a new 48 hours. We are new to the area and this is the 3rd company we have tried...nobody ever shows up...

Worst lawn service Ive ever seen. The poor work done by the lawn crews negates any convenience of not having to mow your own lawn, especially when you have to go behind them and mow your own lawn afterwards! First crew that showed up must have had their mower on the highest height setting because it looked as if nothing had even been done. In addition to this, they didnt even touch the back yard, nor did they weed-eat anything. Second crew was slightly better, but not by much. Grass height was still left at a point where I will have to redo it myself, and once again, no weed-eating was done! Not sure if the crews are just lazy or if Im the only person familiar with a weed-eater. Being from Florida, I would expect most lawn crews to know their way around a weed-eater! Customer service is hit or miss. I ended up canceling the service before getting to know much about them, but two out of the four agents I spoke with regarding the poor service I received seemed knowledgeable and friendly, so I guess thats a plus. When discussing the matter of crews not weed-eating my property, three of the four agents had never even heard of a weed-eater/string trimmer and said this was not included in their lawn services. The fourth was shocked that nobody else knew what it was and assured me that it is included in the service, so as nice as it was to be slightly vindicated in the weed-eating debacle, the conflicting information was very disappointing. Overall, I would never recommend LawnStarter and have since canceled my service. Ill save myself the headache and money and do my yard work myself.

Normally I rate 4 stars or better. I ve had my ups and my downs with this company. I ve had no shows. I ve had people on time. It s a gamble with them. I m on my second crew. Today they gave me the run around for 5 hours. It s almost dark and the just showed up to do my yard. Guess I ll see what they missed in the morning. I m sure there not taking there time to do it correctly. Better than nothing. Lol. Just remember if you decide to use this company. These are some of the things that you will run into.

I have been using for most 2020 and they have been convenient and good price. Also, when there is any issues, they respond timely. I am happy and will recommend.

They do a good job, keep me informed about when theyre coming and are professional. Out lawn looks much better than any of our neighbors.

Been using law starter since I bought my house in August. The florida rain makes the yard grow fast so its nice to be able to contact my service and get a fast answer about when they will be by. They mow, blow, and edge my whole half acre for a GREAT price. I truly dont know what Id do without it sometimes.

I have to say that since I started my service a few weeks ago, I have been impressed from day 1 and I continue to be with every service. Excellent job once again today! I recommend Edward at Lawnstarter to anyone. Positive
