There are different levels to this, and Serenoa is a stratosphere above everyone else. Before finding Andy and Jen, I was working with another well known landscaping company to do a complete renovation of our landscaping. After months of waiting for a plan from them, I looked for alternatives and found Serenoas website. I spoke to Andy on the phone and immediately got a sense that he could give us the yard of our dreams. Andy and Jen came out to discuss and look at our property. I had a few ideas , but to be honest, I gave them little direction and just let them do what they do best. Shortly after, they presented us with their plan that was detailed, comprehensive, and within our budget. Communication was outstanding throughout the whole process. Shortly after completing the design, they got to work. Their team is amazing. Matt and his landscapers showed up early and worked hard all day for a week until the job was complete. When they were done, the finished product was more incredible than I could have imagined. My kids said they felt like they were in a tropical rainforest! We have had a lot of work done at our home over the past year and Serenoa is the real deal. From the outstanding communication, planning and design, to the execution and the finished product, Serenoa has been a dream to work with. I sincerely appreciate the attention they gave us and the work they did. We are already thinking about phase 2!!!

We hired Serenoa Landscaping design to do a very large landscape project in Marsh Landing in St. John s county Florida. Our home is on a lake and was very bland in the beginning, basically, just a viburnum bush going down the entire property. Andy and Jenn came in with a wonderful design and we went with the project. Needless to say it s a tropical oasis now, the crew was very professional and did an awesome job. We are basically on a three phase project with them, phase 1 and two are wonderful. I m a native to NE Florida and I returned home after 20 years to build our retirement home in St. Augustine. I looked for a long time to find Andy Turner s landscaping company Serenoa. We found him through his posted landscape videos. They are all so beautiful to watch. We wanted a tropical look that was appropriate for NE Florida and could withstand a frost or two some winters. Also very important was that he would choose plants that the deer would leave alone. Our experience with Serenoa was excellent from beginning to the end of our project. Andy immediately understood my vision of what we wanted and my challenges of my yard with the deer. Andy chose a beautiful variety of Palm trees, palm plants, grasses, perennials and some shrubs that flower all year. I was not familiar with some of the choices but Andy took the time to educate me with lots of photos and information on each variety. He was also nice to make room in the plan for me to have a sea grape plant just for fun since it reminds me that the beach is near. Andy was a true pleasure to work with- always very timely and a great communicator through the whole process. His team was so impressive- on time, very friendly, very knowledgeable and clearly cared about the work they were doing. They cleaned up so neatly every day and even pressure washed the driveway and street where the planting materials had been. The whole project was well orchestrated, on time, on budget and the finished product is so beautiful! We hired Serenoa to help us re-landscape our front yard after the company our builder hired botched the job. We also experienced the loss of several native oak trees after our neighbors cleared their lot. Andy and Jenn listened to our preferences and designed a plan that fit into our budget. They showed up when they said they would and worked quickly to remove the old and dead trees/plants and installed high quality plants in their place. We also had 2 magnolias that needed to be moved and they are doing great. It s been a few months and everything seems to be doing well. There were a few ground cover plants that didn t make it, and Serenoa was quick to replace them as promised. We ended up hiring them again to replace a palm that was damaged in a hurricane and to remulch our backyard beds. Would definitely recommend this company.

While our project was small in comparison to some of Serenoas others jobs, it was quite involved; drilling out old palm tree stumps, relocating irrigation, moving heavy equipment in a small area and ultimately planting a beautiful corner of our yard creating the shade and privacy we wanted but didnt know how to accomplish. Andy and his team just finished a near total overhaul of our front yard in St Augustine. Could not be more pleased with the finished product, its so beautiful. I loved the minimal, organic, free-form layout Andy designed for us using native plants to north Florida that would thrive in the salt air, cochina shells, and flagstone. The design and choice of plants complemented our mid-century house; huge white Birds of Paradise, Serenoa palms, Seagrapes, rosemary bushes. He was very knowledgeable about plants, explained why he chose them and what his vision was. We were redoing our fencing at the same time so we were able to move the fence to create a more inviting path to the front door according to his design. Our project manager, Paul, was amazing. He was professional, respectful and hands-on and always available to answer questions about the irrigation and what to expect during the installation. They were able to start our project earlier than expected although it did take a few days longer than we thought. We were not in a rush, just wanted it to be done right. Where do we begin?! We cannot say enough about Andy and Serenoa Landscape Design. We approached Andy with an idea of the look and feel we wanted to achieve with our yard (we were pretty much starting from scratch), but we didnt know how to achieve that look. Andys expertise was evident from the beginning. He took the time to truly listen to the look and feel that we wanted, and even took the time to drive around our neighborhood to get specific ideas of plants, etc. that we liked/disliked to ensure his final plans aligned with our wishes. Andy (who I secretly - but now not so secretly and VERY respectfully) call the plant nerd, was able to name specific plants (by their scientific Latin name!) based on our very. basic descriptions, and provided super helpful advice based on his years of experience, as to plants that would work best with our overall landscape. For example, there were a few plants that we wanted to include in the design, and Andy said that he would be happy to include them, but also educated us as to potential upkeep/maintenance issues and practical considerations (e.g. one plant had a beautiful bright flower bloom, but Andy said that for the greater part of the year, the flower does not bloom, so wed only be able to enjoy the look we loved for a month or two a year). He has made us lovers of #bromeliad gardens!!! He installed one to make a drab area under one of our oak trees truly pop and come alive. We loved it so much that we had him install another bromeliad garden under our other oak tree! It has become one of my favorite aspects of our yard. From our first brainstorming meeting, all the way through landscape installation, Andy ensured that we were comfortable with the plan and stayed in close contact with us. He was there during installation to ensure everything ran smoothly, and made sure we were happy with the final product. We continue to get so many compliments on our landscaping from our neighbors. Andy was patient as we kept changing our price we could afford and plants we wanted, he was gracious and flexible. The final design looks great for our small Venetia cottage home - a really great Old Florida native local plants, low maintenance design. Cant wait to see how it looks this spring! It was probably not a very big job based on our price point but we felt treated as if we were spending tens of thousands. Very personal, friendly, professional and understanding what we were looking for. The plants they brought in are stunningly perfect - highest quality Ive seen. Andy Turner is the best! At our first meeting we discussed how we wanted to replace the existing builder grade landscaping with something much more colorful, tropical, and evocative of Florida. We also expressed our interest in relatively low maintenance and hearty plants that could withstand the occasional cold winter days while thriving in summer. Andy took us to a recent project in our neighborhood and clearly articulated his design preferences, plant selection, accents and texture additions (partially buried hand selected boulders) to create a living work of art. We immediately knew that we and Andy were on the same page he understood what we were looking for and we were happy and confident to let Andy create a design for us. A few weeks later, Andy presented us with a design and a quote. Although he was open to alterations and owner specified customization, we were all in on respecting his choices and confident in his landscape design experience to accept his design without modification. Terms and conditions were easy to understand; there were no surprises. We accepted his quote and moved forward with the project. Andy s teams were outstanding. They worked closely with us during the excavation phase, assuaging our concerns for buried utilities. The team was particularly keen to our rainwater redirection and irrigation system modification concerns and addressed each issue professionally. Their assurances were not just talk; the team delivered. The crews moved swiftly and confidently, especially as Tropical Storm (soon to be Hurricane) Nicole was threatening to disrupt installation. Fortunately, the team completed the planting work before the storm blew through and returned afterward to install the lighting and complete the irrigation and rainwater drainage modifications. Andy was a constant presence overseeing the project and answering our questions as they arose. Neither he nor his team needed to be chased down. Refreshingly, the teams were on site every morning at 0800 and worked full days until the project was completed. We can t have been more pleased with the results. We are already looking forward to what the spring growing season will bring to the living art that Andy Turner and Serenoa Landscape Design created in our home front. It was a joy to work with Andy and his crew. We just needed our 22year old front flower bed updated and he was willing to help with this relatively small job. He used computer generated examples to show us what the finished product would look like which was very helpful.
