My name is Rick Penchoff. I am the owner of “TOTAL LANDSCAPING, INC. ” I was born and raised in Michigan Center, MI and I have been in business since 1993. I currently employ 9 people, many of which have been with my company for close to 10 years. Total Landscaping Inc. is located on Page Ave. in Jackson just outside of Michigan Center, MI. We provide service to Jackson and the surrounding areas. We offer free estimates to provide you with an idea of how much your project will cost. Our business is fully insured and our workers are fully covered by Workers Compensation Insurance. My employees and I service both commercial and residential clients, who we strive to provide quality service for a fair and reasonable price.

My property was a mess after cutting down a number of trees, erosion from downspouts, and a swampy issue down by the lake. They filled in, graded, and seeded it. Looks like it will be an awesome lawn next spring. Cant wait! The company also turned me on to a sprinkler installer. Great job there also.
Rick, Alicia, and the crew all did a fantastic job for me recently. These before and after photos show what great work they did removing lilacs, a small berm, moving the driveway, new crushed asphalt, and then put down top soil and grass seed. Communication from start to end was as expected, just wonderful. I am very happy with their work and recommend Total Landscaping to anyone reading this.
Total Landscaping put in a sandstone patio for me in August and did a wonderful job. The guys were always on time and they worked hard! They had to remove a giant tree stump bef they could start the grading and patio work so I had a ditch witch and a bobcat in the yard. They put down pads so the grass wasn’t torn up and cleaned up every day when they were done working. They were courteous, listened when I asked questions and then addressed them. They also had good ideas when I was flummoxed. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone seeking quality landscaping.
2020 Review: I had Total Landscaping back out last month for removal of some over grown hedges. They did a great job again! Pulled everything out and did a very good job with the root removal, they filled in, seeded, and they also planted a smaller number of slower growing hedges to help frame out my house. Completed all the work in a day, crew members were all respectful and hard working. Still recommend them! 2018 Review: They did an amazing job! They completely removed the jungle of a back yard that I had. It was very overgrown and they pulled everything out and installed beautiful aluminum edging for my new, smaller beds, the grass they planted grew within the week in the beginning of August. The crew was very professional and friendly, and did the add-ons I asked for without a crazy increase in price. They added an underground gutter extension for me as a side of my house had a low point that was collecting water. They worked on average between 8:30-3:30 for the days they were at my house. Definitely Recommend!
Watch what ur bill they charge u for material and dont use it all but u still get charge full price. Employees get high while working at customer homes, watch to.make sure they do job correctly they like to short cut.
Today Total Landscape transformed our thick overgrown forest to a clean walkable acreage. Now we can enjoy it for years.
Total Landscaping came out and installed landscaping changes to my backyard that we agreed to earlier in the year. They did an excellent job making additional suggestions on improvements. Very happy with their work and will use them again on Phase 2.

Total landscaping has been taking care of the lawn for many years now. They are always there when they say and do a great job. Snow removal in the winter is proof and early.

I am really impressed with the service this company provides. I have 2.5acres that gets cut. The team shows up and does the cutting, whipping, edging and clean up in a very professional manner. I ve had other services that were terrible. My yard and landscaping has never looked so good. I m a very meticulous person and notice things like yard clippings all over the mulch. (Other companies do things like that) I highly recommend them.
Total Landscaping came out and landscaped our beach and sea wall. Although we were delayed because of Covid 19, the team at Total Landscaping kept us informed and were very responsive to our questions. What a great company to work with! The guys did amazing work. They were efficient, with a focus on detail and quality workmanship. Couldnt be happier with the results. Highly recommend!!

Im a recently widowed older lady and needed a quote and help with cleaning up some leaves. Just a small yard that didnt get raked last fall. The representative was an hour late, he wasnt personable or friendly and his quote was outrageously excessive for such a small job. I will not be contacting this company again for any work.
Gave me the run around for 5 weeks, waited 3 just to get someone to my property, 2 weeks with no follow up. After I called and was told they would call me back I received an email saying g they have better clients to work with and are booked for the entire 2019 season. Needed a driveway and about 3 grand worth or plants and trees not include what ever they would charge for labor. Waste of time, fi do a more professional company is what I recommend.
