I had used lawn Depot, the past few years and my lawn looked fantastic. I thought I would save a little money and decided to use Bluegrass. I figured how hard could it be to keep a good long looking good? Big mistake! When I called to set up my service, we agreed that before each application they would call and notify me so I could prepare my lawn Things out. Just serviced my lawn with kids toys and such all over. Throughout the summer, the lawn began to look worse and worse at this point in late August my lawn has never looked so bad Bluegrass killed my lawn this summer. When I went to call and make sure they did not return to apply any further treatment Owner said he did not recognize my name. He asked me to send him pictures of what I am talking about. Instead of coming out and taking a look for himself. How unfortunate. Steer clear!
I bought a house that had a well taken care lawn with almost zero weeds. After 2 years of "lawn care" by Blue Grass Lawn Service Co, the weeds are all over the place. I called Mitch and informed him about the weeds, he asked me to send pictures which I did; I did not heard back from him for a few days. I called him again and told him I sent him pictures. Mitch looked at pictures and said "this weed is not covered under the contract". Obviously nothing of that sort was disclosed upfront and no contract was ever written classifying what weeds were covered and what was not covered? but they can treat it for additional money. I declined and I figured what it was and treated it myself. The second time there are clovers all over the lawn, I called Mitch, sent him pictures he said they will take care. However they came down only when the next application was due and claimed they applied weed control but that did nothing. I complained a few times to Mitch, and the gentleman who comes to apply fertilizers, but nothing was done to improve my lawn, it was getting worse. The disgusting part was the man who came to treat the lawn asked me where were the clovers when it is all over the place and some areas it is very thick (see pictures). The same company maintains my neighbors lawn for many years and their lawns look worse than mine. I quickly realized this is a company who is interested only in your money, you will not get a quality service in return. They were bit cheaper than another quote I got, and they are local. So I gave them my business. Not again. I have cancelled their service. For them you are a number, and if they say 8 applications that's all it is nothing more. After reading about clover I have a feeling they are not even applying enough fertilizer which hinders grass growth. Clover extracts nitrogen from the air so clover quickly overcomes under fertilized grass and thrives. When I called to cancel suddenly Mitch become a very caring business owner. I didn't fall for his drama. Now Mitch may come back writing here he cannot find me by my name here in google. Please do not fall for it. This company will destroy your lawn.
We have really been enjoying how beautiful our lawn looks at the start of our second year with Blue Grass. Last year we were offered several services and my husband chose what was best, then added another service to the contract this year. Truly grateful for the care we receive! Thank you Blue Grass!
Have used Blue Grass for the past 4 years for annual lawn maintenance. They provide a good service, much better than the 2 previous companies. I like that it requires very little of my time. I pay online and I get an automated call the day prior to each lawn treatment. I would recommend that you try them.
Blue Grass absolutely killed my lawn in a 4 month period (see pictures from April to August). They will not respond to any emails requesting a professional to inspect the damage, they just keep ignoring me. This company is extremely unprofessional, I would not recommend them to anyone.
I'll start by saying Blue Grass is not an honest company to deal with. I signed up for a single year service to give them a try. Paid for the service in full. On one of the treatments the tractor was standing idling on the grass getting ready for work. For whatever reason it dumped more chemicals where it stood completely killing the grass. It was a 3ft long by 6 inches wide dead line right at the beginning of the yard. The BG owner was informed of this with requested pictures texted. I also told him that next year I'm not planning to use their service. They promised to come and fix the damage. No one came. Next year while on an overseas trip BG shows up to treat the loan with chemicals. I wasn't aware of the fact until I received a bill. A prompt call to them revealed that no one keeps track of what was discussed on the phone and their services were no longer needed in a new year. Just received a letter from the collection agency with all penalties accumulated. I'll be dealing with them going forward. There are plenty of companies doing this type of work. I'd suggest strongly to stay away from Blue Grass.
Killed my lawn. Brown grass everywhere and weeds aplenty. Forced me to pay for their "service" through a collection agency. Sometimes you need to learn the hard way that doing things on your own is the best way to go.
Anyone can buy fertilizer from a box store and spread it on their lawn themselves, but it is important to know that there are many different types of weeds and unwanted growth that happens in your lawn. Certain fertilizers are meant to kill specific weeds and it has to be applied at the right time of the year and season. Mitch and his crew at Bluegrass Lawn know all there is to know about growing a lawn and keeping weeds away. They are very customer-oriented and will do whatever it takes to make you happy and make your house and lawn look its best. They will even put down grass seed in the fall so come spring your lawn will look great! Thank you Mitch!

I signed up for the first time this season. I had clarified up front that I only signed up for 5 of the 7 services. Mitch and his team did 3 applications in a span of 6 wks starting April. One of the applications was intended to be a call for weeds still growing after the first two and instead of spot treatment, they did the full application. Lawn was well maintained till June. When i reached out in July for the guarantee as weeds were appearing, Mitch pushed for an additional service and i told him to spot treat and then a full service could be done in early August, allowing for my 5 treatments to be completed by fall. He refused and simply wanted to end my contract. I spent time sending him pictures of weeds which were spotty, although, he simply did not want to honor his service commitment. He finally sent his team for spot treatment and it has been 2 wks since then, and no difference to the weeds and no response. THIS IS NOT HOW A BUSINESS TREATS CUSTOMERS ! Never had this service issues with his competitors --- In fact, they were more than happy to come back between applications several times and went out of the way to provide top service. I got many pictures too, that i can easily post if anyone is interested !

Blue Grass is very knowledgeable and responsive. When lantern flies attacked our willow tree they came right away to address the issue. They also keep our lawn looking great!
I trust Bluegrass and Mitch, the owner with my lawn. My neighbors have admired how great my lawn looks! Prompt attention, effective treatments. I re-seeded last fall and what a difference it made! Looks fantastic.

Beware. Before I employed Blue Grass aeration and seeding services this past fall, I told Mitch Lynd that special attention would need to be applied to a small area with some surface roots and a short hill. Mitch said he d use a small machine to aerate, no problem. When I noticed there were no plugs, just seed applied to the area, I was told by his crew that they d be back out to re-seed if nothing took hold. They were not. When I contacted Mitch about six weeks later, he said it was too cold and promised he d be back out in the early Spring before the crabgrass preventer was applied. I sent him an e-mail on March 4 to remind him and he responded Got it Once we get back to work, we ll take care of it. He did not! On April 1, the weed preventer was applied making seeding and successful germination most unlikely until the fall. The Blue Grass crew are professional and polite, but in my experience dealing with Mitch, I saw poor communication with his crew; I saw no follow-up to ensure the service was successful; I saw no follow-through on promises; and frankly, I saw no genuine care from Mitch for his long-standing client. Yes, I was a customer for several years, but have come to realize that any service can have a guy come out and fly around your lawn on a tractor to apply fertilizer, but when it comes time for an owner to step up and take ownership of a specific service you pay good money for, all I heard were false promises, contradictions and excuses. This is no way to do business.
I have tried several lawn care companies, after one season bluegrass lawn service has been the best. My lawn is thick and green and I cannot be happier.
I have been a client for 18 years and have always received top notch service and results. Our lawn has always look weed free ,green and healthy. The only reason we re leaving is we re headed south and sold our home. I strongly recommend Blue Grass services and guaranteed you won t be disappointed...
Great local company
Mitch and the team at Bluegrass were fantastic to work with. Our landscaper dropped the ball last year and missed all spring applications. The lawn was an absolute mess with brown patches and crab grass having completely taken over. They suggested we wait until fall and burn everything and start over, it was that bad. Mitch and his team came in mid summer and turned things around for us. Signed up immediately for the full service for 2022!

Definitely recommend. Very reasonably priced (after getting quotes from a few places, local and national, that service my area), quick response, and was out to service my lawn within a week of me signing up. Before Blue Grass, my lawn was patchy, brown, and completely covered in dandelions. After just the first treatment, the dandelions are completely gone, the grass is greener, and there are fewer patches (and those that remain are smaller). Blue Grass was recommended by a neighbor to take care of the Spotted Lantern Flies that have shown up on our trees. They were very professional and reasonably priced. We saw results in just a few hours after they were done spraying the trees. Thank you for a great job.
It s nice when a business is not just throwing at you a standard cookie cutter service. Mitchell took the time to look at my lawn, described each weed or what was growing and how to treat it. What a GREAT company with which to do business. Great techs who are always willing to share tips and info on what they are applying and on how to make my lawn thrive, when to mow, how to cut, when to water, and any other question I might have!! I have gone from the ugliest lawn in the neighborhood to one that has gotten compliments on how green it is and how one form of grass is growing, not a bunch of different kinds. We have over 15 acres of soccer and baseball fields at the Fox Chase Playground. After a long soccer season we need lots of help getting the fields back together for baseball. One of my longest relationships. -The service is consistent, predictable and responsive.Over the years I called only three times and within 24 hours someone was out to look at my lawn. -I like that I receive an incentive for paying up front for the year . -I have received information about the upgrading up their supplies . Like that! -They leave an RX slip for potential issues and recommendations for the lawn. -I believe their offer a fare price for a great service and -Recommend them to anyone who never wants to have to search for another lawn care company

Their services are fairly priced and the management is extremely professional. The lawn technician that services my property has done so for years and is very thorough. I would recommend them highly.
The Blue Grass team has been taking care of my property for years now. I have always been pleased with the results. They recently picked up on a tree problem that I didnt even know I had yet and were able to treat it before there was more damage. Definitely a good place to deal with.
