2nd time we ve used them for large tree removal- great communication and did a great job of getting the tree out with zero damage to the surroundings even in a pretty tight spot!

Fast service. Will raise the star after the debris is removed. I am ok they did not remove the debris yet after the bomb cyclone as plenty of houses need trees taken off them and clutter cleanup can come later.

Matts Tree Service is always a true treat to be able to use their service. Ava Beth was a careful and helpful reviewer / estimator. She offered several suggestions that were excellent ideas. The tree removal team (lead by Lupe) was extremely skilled, knowledgeable, careful, and through in their removal of my trees. Lupe was careful to make sure that he was doing what I expected to be done. As usual, I am always very satisfied that MTS gives me the tree service that I need and when I need it.

I had a very disappointing experience with MTS Tree and Landscape. Their lack of communication and professionalism has been extremely frustrating and a nightmare. I would not recommend MTS Tree and Landscape to anyone looking for reliable and professional tree removal services. Here is my case. I signed a contract for the removal of three holly trees, two additional holly trees in a different spot, and a dead poplar tree. The main reason for hiring them was to remove the dead poplar tree, but I thought it would be a good idea to clean up my backyard by removing the holly trees as well. On August 2nd, the tree removal team came and said that they needed a spider lift to remove the poplar tree. I was frustrated that the company s arborist, who came to my home for the estimate, didn t inform the team about the tree s condition and prepare the necessary equipment. However, since they were already there, they decided to remove the holly trees first and then schedule the poplar tree removal. They also forced me to pay for the holly tree removal, even though I preferred to pay the full amount after all the work was completed. I paid and requested that they schedule the poplar tree removal as soon as possible. Despite multiple calls, text messages, and emails from me, and even a few calls from my neighbor who referred this company, there has been no progress. As of today, August 28th, I visited their listed address to arrange an appointment in person, but it turned out to be just a mailbox address with no actual company there. I tried and waited for as much as I can to keep the contract completed, and if this last tree is unable to be cut for whatever reason, this would be a breach of the contract by the company.

The work that was done was excellent.

We had 2, 40+ tall and wide trees that needed to be removed and we recommend using MTS Trees and Landscaping. Our experience with MTS, from getting a quote, to scheduling the work, and the work being done was a great and quick. During the quoting process and the trees being removed, they checked and double verified the details of the job with us. Everyone we worked with was professional, they proactively kept us informed, and they were consistently on-time, which was not the case with 2 other companies we used to prune the trees in past years. The MTS crew fell the trees, ground them up, and did a nice job of cleaning up, all within 2.5 hours. The next phase was the stump grinding and a few roots poking out above the grass. The person that came out met with us to verify the details of the job and then he got to work. This too was a very good experience from the brief time needed to complete the grinding to the clean-up work he did. He also gave us a few tips on how to speed up decomposition of any roots below the surface if we needed or wanted to get rid of. We added a final phase to the project of planting a new Japanese maple and arborvitaes. That job will be another post once its completed.

Very good experience recently with Matts. They removed one very large tree and pruned 3 other big trees. All the work was done in a professional and safe manner. They worked quickly but not carelessly. They did all they could to protect adjacent landscaping and lights, etc. They were very careful and precise in bringing down the big limbs and the trunk. The pruning was also great. Along the way the crew kept checking in with me to be sure it was what I wanted and that we were pruning the right amount in the right places. When I have further tree removal or pruning needs, I will definitely call them again. Update 9/17/24: Everything I said above is still true. They did more work for me today and it was a different crew but the work was just as excellent as before. I continue to highly recommend them!

They did a wonderful job pruning back encroaching branches over our driveway and crown cleaning one of our pine trees! It looks so much better! They were on time, worked efficiently and quickly, and cleaned up well after themselves. Would hire them again.

The tree cutting was done well but a large unmovable section of the tree was left at the stump. I had to call and have a team back out to move it to a safe area. Also the clean up was less than optimal. Many pinecones were left all over the lawn were they dragged the branches. It took us over an hour to pick them up.

Great crew to work with. Cleared a large broken branch hanging about 20 feet up in a pine in our yard. Very diligent about safety and cleaned up thoroughly. I ll be having them back in the fall to prune a bunch of trees in the front.

I have had nothing but disappointing experiences with MTS. We put our money and trust in them and their designer, Jessica, only to have received nothing. We were quoted for a garden design plan, to which Jessica took many months to respond to and begin. Once she began, she insisted she needed to have her team come out and clear out property so she could do a proper design. We paid $5k for a team to come out and do some brush clearing throughout the property. When Jessica finally presented an initial design plan (again, many weeks after she promised she would have it) it was not accurate to our garden at all and made me realize the brush clearing was completely unnecessary. We asked for a few revisions to which we were told we would receive by May 15 and have still not heard back. We have called the company and emailed many times in the last month to figure out when this design project (which we started inquiring with in January) would be completed and have heard nothing from anyone in this company. At this point, we have spent $7.5k with MTS that I dont believe we will be getting back. Either our project was not important to them, or they are happy to take money without providing the services promised. The crew that came to do the clearing did a good enough job, the issue is not with them but with Jessica and the management team for being completely unresponsive to our demands for receiving what we paid for.

The quality of work done by the team was fine, they were on time, very efficient, and got my approval of their work when completed. The problem I have is with the pricing: the estimator used a 3 hr estimate for the job (removal of one small dead tree and pruning of two others), requiring a 3-man team, and thus a $1300 price. The 3-man team that arrived completed the work in LESS THAT ONE HOUR. Because there was some language in the bid about the hours being an estimate, I asked for an adjustment and was told that the price was fixed based on the hours estimated, because some crews work faster than others and theee hours needed to be blocked in the schedule, I guess so that the slow crew could complete the same job! Not sure I believe that, but if you get a bid from MTS, ask them to bid it for the fast crew. I feel like a chump for paying them $1300 for one hour of work.

MTS Tree and Landscape (Sound Pruning LLC) showed up for my emergency service fast. They handled the massive branch that had fallen on my house with care for both my house and the tree. I am so glad I found them! Reasonably priced with no hard sells or strange mark-ups. I found them easy to talk to and they were clear about the process.

Very helpful group of people who made quick work removing a large cherry tree that fell on a difficult to access slope.

I was out of town when MTS tree service came and did the initial job. I paid in after the work was done. But never saw the final results due to being out of town for over a month. When I returned, I realized that some work in the contract was not done. I called the office and Brad the arborist and they sent a crew out asap to finish the job. Love the finish job!

Crew arrived on time and did a fantastic jib. We needed several trees topped and one completely taken out. I was especially impressed with their clean up!

We cant recommend MTS enough! They literally saved the day for us. Our flighted pet parrot Peanut escaped our house yesterday evening. We live adjacent to Cougar Mountain Regional Park with nothing but woods all around. Peanut flew up the mountain about 1000 yards from our house. We tracked him all day. He was high up in the trees calling to us but couldnt fly down. Having done business with MTS in the past, we reached out. Alex said that he could have an arborist out to us that afternoon. They had never done bird retrieval before, but we had nothing to lose by trying. Our parrot was getting more and more tired and hungry. Hes a very tame bird and loves all people... he was 100-150 up a tall fir tree. Heres what we did: Kristopher the arborist went up a tree adjacent to Peanuts tree. Peanut had also been in the tree previously that the arborist chose. He brought up his bird backpack carrier and treats. Peanut started doing his alarm call when the climber was closer to his level. So the arborist put our voices on speaker phone on his cell and we started calling him. Peanut flew to the arborist!! We had given him walnuts, Peanuts favorite treat. After he ate a few treats, the arborist was able to get him to step up and finally got him in the backpack for the ride down. This parrot is beloved by all in our family. We couldnt be happier!

Update: After receiving an automated response, I called and spoke to the Owner, Alex. He came out and ended up giving me a proposal for work that I might do in the future. Still no Resolution and my stumps still arent fully grinded after 6 months! Painful Experience! A two day job took an entire month. We had broke down equipment left in our yard for 2 weeks. When quoted the use of protective mats to protect my yard, none were used and my back yard is destroyed!! Stumps were to be grinded down and the two still have not been completed after 4 months with zero contact. I also did not like having to hand the foreman chunks of cash as the project was phased. This all took place in September of 2020, so hopefully they are working on staffing and better follow through on project delivery. I d recommend paying a little extra for quality on dropping a tree and grinding stumps. Update: Reconnected with Owner and he ended up trying to upsale on additional work. Would not recommend based on my experience as there are too many other great companies that perform the same scope of work.

MTS did a great job with our tree needs. Topped a section that was blocking a view and took down a bunch of dead limbs from a large black walnut. The yard was spotless after their work. MTS came out to evaluate the trees to be removed and gave me a reasonable estimate. The job was done the following day. I knew what to expect and that was exactly what happened. Brandon did the climbing and the heavy cutting. He and his crew were excellent. 10 out of 10

Branches overhanging the drive were not trimmed. Rounds are excessively large and will be difficult to remove.

* job: cut and remove 60+ feet fir, 7 feet from the house, less so from the backyard fence, with huge branches above both. Narrow access in between the house and the fence, no motorized access I was anxious, to say the least. Lupe, the climber and the team took the tree down and removed everything without one single little branch touching the fence or the roof/house...everything landing in a designated place..a ballet of skill and precision. the trunk pieces ended at the curb, promptly removed next day by Alex team. Outstanding (I was not planning to, but I watched the whole thing) I want to thank also the gals and guys in the front and back office, had to reschedule and figure-out some details, always very helpful and timely, professional.

The job could not be completed as requested due to a dying tree at the top. We were told that this information would be passed on to the estimator, but it was not. We were also charged the full price for the job even though it was not done as anticipated. Clean up was not as good as it should have been. Too many branches left around which we took care of on our own. We have always had good service with MTS (formerly Turning Leaf) and hope this was just a one time issue to be resolved in the near future. Wed like the job completed.

I contracted with MTS to re-landscape my front yard. They were professional and prompt through the design and quote process. Then the day of the job came and they didnt show up and wouldnt return our calls until the next day. Rescheduled for 2 weeks later. They went over their quote because they didnt properly measure during the quoting process. The sprinkler they installed wasnt properly insulated and one of the pipes cracked the following winter requiring an overhaul to fix the work. Very underwhelming

Submitted a request for tree pruning service, using their online estimate app. Entered text describing our needs and downloaded a walkthrough video of the trees needing pruning. An arborist called and we arranged a time for him to scope out work on site. After onsite inspection, arborist provided a fair estimate for work to be preformed and time. The MTS crew arrived on time and preformed the tree pruning agreed upon with periodic consultation with owner throughout the process. The crew took all necessary safety precautions and was respectful of property as well as adjoining neighbors. We did a final inspection of the trees to make sure all work was completed to my satisfaction. Then they did a final cleanup of leaves, chips and branches.

We had engaged this organization for stump grinding and landscaping services including removal of overgrown bushes and trees, replanting and laying bark. This was supposed to be completed in less than a week and took about a month. The initial stump grinding was completed planned, but subsequent services from there were disappointing. We had paid for pruning and it was only 75% completed and we had assumed that when we hired MTS to remove old shrubs and trees this also included removal of the stumps; however, this wasnt the case - this was extra. Ultimately given the pruning wasnt completed we didnt haveto pay for the additional stumps to be removed, but also we were left with 2 stumps that still have yet to be removed. Over this period we were delayed in getting our bark mulch laid due to mechanical issues and ultimately had to be laid by hand. I will say the bark work was done to our satisfaction.

We needed several trees trimmed including a beautiful flowering cherry tree that was encroaching on my neighbors yard. They did a spectacular job on the cherry tree - it s not hanging in the neighbors yard but it still looks like a tree - not something that was hacked to bits. We couldn t be happier.

There were a great many scheduling and communication SNAFUs which is why I ranked at a 3, but once here, the work was quite good. Hector was amazing at installing the irrigation. He started off with incorrect instruction about what I wanted but asked questions early enough we discovered the errors. He was thoughtful, asked good questions, and raised concerns where needed.

MTS took down a very tall tree and a smaller tree in less than 3 hours. MTS coordinated with the power company to drop a wire and restore power with no problems. Overall MTS did a very good job.

A very tall Douglas Fir on my property had a big dead branch way up in the tree. MTS guys came today, and very professionally climbed up there to remove the dead branch before it could fall and damage our fence. They also cleaned up the dead branches on the way up. My dealings with the arborist and the crew that actually did the work went fine. However, there seemed to be a breakdown of communication between their conversation with each other. There were two significant instances that could ve easily been avoided with better and more complete communication. As I understand it, the crew is actually a third-party hired by MTS and they are not actually employees. Additionally, this company uses some software package that was more confusing than helpful. Given that MTS was the most expensive of the four quotes I got, I was expecting a better customer experience.

I found these folks at salmon days in Issaquah. I had a tree that was too close to my house windows and they sent Oscar over for an evaluation and estimate. Oscar is really knowledgeable and was able to talk me through how best manage the tree and the shrubbery around the house. If you are looking for quality tree support strongly suggest MTS. MTS Tree and Landscape did two related projects for me. First, Oscar did Japanese style pruning on a large Juniper tree. He clearly explained his general process as well as the plans for the tree to me which helped me understand what the end result should look like. The end result was even better than I expected. The tree looks much more healthy. Oscar also took into consideration the other trees and how everything would look in conjunction and he trimmed some other plants to look good alongside the tree as well. The other project was to remove some trees that were growing into power lines. It was led by Brandon and team. They were very efficient and did the work without any impact on the nearby fence. The estimate process done by Brad was also great, and I could tell there was a great deal of expertise and I got a lot of good advice on how to proceed. Overall, it all looks even better than what I expected. I would definitely recommend MTS Tree and Landscape and call on them for future tree service.

We hired MTS to do a complete yard renovation and are so pleased with results. Our project was a difficult one due to the significant slope of our yard, limited parking, narrow streets, and limited access to our yard from the street, but MTS made it work. Our designer and project manager Jessica was fantastic. She was very talented, experienced, communicative, patient, and easy to work with. Hector and his crew were amazing. Weve had MTS for a number of projects. Theyre response time is amazing, and the guys (especially Hector) are terrific. The new French drain is a Godsend. We can walk through our back yard in the midst of the rainy winter for the first time in 23 years without havingto wear rubber boots. We just had them blow out our irrigation system for winter prep, and again their response time and work was excellent. I highly recommend MTS.

We learned at the last minute before a big freeze that we were supposed to winterize our irrigation system. MTS came out the same day and worked in the snow to take care of it. No more worries about cracking pipes. We really appreciate it!

Actual tree work on very large trees was good. Clean up was so-so. I paid $600 for clean up and removal of logs and branches but some of the branches were just dumped in my ravine and there was also another pile of branches that I had to haul to the dump myself. Took months to schedule with them. And I keep getting bills for the work that was done and already paid for. They communicate promptly through texts and try to fix problems quickly. Crew were all friendly and polite.
