Had a retaining wall run. Beautiful work, easy to work with and would recommend very highly. However, hold off paying until all trash is removed. They left some stone and pallets on our lawn and has promised to get it every day for two weeks now. The grass is dying. Was wonderful to work with until they were paid. Then they don t care.

I recently needed some backyard TLC due to my grass and weeds being out of control. After contacting a few other companies, I decided to go with J&S due to the fair price quote and the fact that he s a local small business. I couldn t be happier. Outstanding work. So much so that I am going to have him just take care of my yard permanently.

Company walked my property and gave estimate for general landscaping to be conducted. Was told that work could begin in 3 weeks. 3 weeks came and went with little to no responses to emails. Finally received a text from James that work would commence the last week of April. Now here it is the 7th of May and not a word back from them. Its now too late in the spring to have anyone come and work on my landscaping before the summer. Ive texted and called without a response. It would have been professional and courteous if J&S would have been honest at the beginning and said they dont have the time to take on any more business; instead of stringing me along for almost 2 months!

James and his team did a fantastic job installing new emerald zoysia for us. They did an awesome job grading and prepping and then the placed the sod end cut it perfectly. To top it off, they cleaned up and made it look like they were never even here. These are tough times to run a landscaping business - it s tough to find helping hands. Despite this, James did the work and did it top notch.

James does an outstanding job of taking care of our lawn, he is very meticulous and ensures that our lawn looks the best that it can be, his services are great and the cost is very reasonable, I would highly recommend J & S for your landscaping / lawn needs.

James has cut my grass for years. My yard is not an easy yard to maintain. I have gumball trees in my front and back yard. The fall is the worst, leafs rain down in my yard followed by gumballs. Its a daunting task, way to much for me to take on myself. When James would leaf my yard, it would look immaculate! Edged, trimed and not a single leaf or gumball in my yard. James was AWESOME!! I had an almost impossible landscape project with short deadline - a total front, side and rear bed overhaul and design, shrub removal, bed edging, soil prep & leveling and mulch, all in 3 days! James met me the same day I called. Ive never seen someone work so HARD, tirelessly, until the job was done, beautifully I might add. I love the flared river rock swath he designed and laid down under my front and back gutter spouts, dividing the beds with class. What curb appeal now!! James had great ideas, and was humble and also open to listen to my design suggestions. Besides a great work ethic, hes a man of faith and integrity. Hes a very busy man, so make sure you agree to reasonable expections (unlike mine, LOL!!), project and completion timelines, cost, materials, etc. I had multiple opportunities to chat with him during my landscape project, even a long conversation on my porch during a rain shower one afternoon, and I feel like Ive gained a friend. I needed a retaining walls built and 2 flower beds put in. James built a beautiful professional wall and flower beds that adds beauty to my house! It s been years since I have seen James. We spoke briefly on Pass by in SAS Team Jiujitsu. I had problem with over growth shrubs at my New Home in Lexington SC Hell I didn t know proper way trim these high bushes plus worrying about falling off later. J.S got Awesome Instagram page of all his accomplishments in landscaping so I reached out to him. James was Quick with response and gave answers I needed. Him and Team came out Next day started trimming hedges and James explained how a branch needed to be cut certain way in order for it grow properly. The Man is Knowledgeable in Plants and Landscaping. I recently had a great experience with J&S Landscape. I requested a quote from them for a pretty extensive yard clean-up, and they promptly scheduled a consultation/estimate for the next day. Their quote was very competitive compared to three other local landscapers. On the day they were scheduled to come out they were there right on time, and worked until dark. The owner personally came out the next day to finish up the job, and once more on the third day to completely clean everything up, put in any finishing touches, and ensure that he had not missed anything. I spoke with him many times throughout the process, either by text if I wasnt at home, or in person. He provided all sorts of great advice on what I could do with the yard, and did not hesitate to clarify what needed to be done, instead of just hacking away. The end result was amazing. He and his crew cleared enough plant life to fill a 16-foot trailer with a 3-foot tall stack of trees, bushes, and grass. My flower beds are now clear, my trees are shaped and pruned, and my yard looks much bigger. I would definitely reach out to them again for any new or additional work I may need!

James and his crew regularly service my lawn on a consistent basis. Out of all the lawn care services Ive tried since I moved to South Carolina, J & S is head and shoulders the best. They are reliable, their mowing and edging is top-notch, after their weed treatment my lawns appearance greatly improved, they never leave a mess, and they are especially personable and never hesitate to give you tips on how you can best maintain your lawn in-between visits. I also had sod installed and I was very happy with their work there. Plus, their prices are competitive, and when compared to other services where I paid more yet experienced lesser quality work, J & Ss has great value. Overall, I cannot recommend that you try J & S enough, after cycling through other companies, Ive finally been able to settle on J & S because I know that theyll show up on time and that I neednt worry that they might do a sub-par job.

Our property size is not your traditional neighborhood sized yard. Its several acres with lots of beds. Some rough cut/wooded areas and fine lawn areas to be specific. Lots of variety to maintain and James does it effortlessly. Hes the hardest worker I know and takes pride in his work and customer service. Not only is James a great landscaper, hes also become a great friend over the years. Hes not just about you being a landscape client...he values your relationship/friendship too which is what sets him a part. Having James take care of our property has been a blessing.

One of the best qualities about the lawn service with J&S Lawn & Landscape is that I am not required to be home when the service is taking place. James takes his time to do excellent work and our lawn is proof of this! I have yet to be present when James cut our lawn as we work during the day, however I can always tell he has been there.
