We have a lawn sprinkler system that Wagner has been maintaining for several years. They always do an outstanding job of starting it up in the spring, keeping it running well for the season, and shutting it down in the fall. We wanted to recognize Justin, the technician that started our system for the summer. He did a thorough job, found and repaired sprinkler heads that werent working, and did an outstanding job on communicating with us through the entire process! He treated our system as if it were his own!

Picked up some sod to repair lawn.Reasonable price. Better than other places I checked. I liked that there standard sod roll is 10 sq.ft. easy to figure out amount needed for repair

Very friendly and expert people to work with. We had a deteriorating landscape design, so new blocks were installed and the project was done quickly and efficiently. Love the new look. They are also our new sprinkler system people and they are very good at what they do. Highly recommend them.

Complete lack of regard for other peoples time

They winterized our sprinkler system last year and we noticed our pipe burst in the early spring. Contacted them and they told us they would come fix it. We had multiple set days they were supposed to come fix it and when they didnt show we contacted them and continued to do so and they ignored our calls, voicemails, and have yet to resolve the issue. We ended up fixing it ourselves so we could use our irrigation system but its principal. Awful company. Do not use.

Ive worked with them for irrigation for years. The do quality work, communicate clearly, fulfill appointment times and if something they work on doesnt go as planned, they own it and solve it.

Wagner SOD installed SOD in our yard as a part of a contract with a local building group, I did not choose them to be my SOD servicer. They took some time to get to our yard, but I understand supply chain and labor issues are what they are, so I understand a slow timeline. However, after installation I noticed our yard getting brown very quickly in certain spots. Within two days of the SOD installation a Wagner sales rep came out and said that my yard looked bad and could use some underground sprinklers. It seems like this may have been a plan to install brown SOD so that they could come in and swindle me into buying irrigation by making me feel bad about my yard. I watered diligently for the recommended timeline after installation and the brown is just now going away. I am very disappointed in the tactics of this organization and would not suggest them to others in the future.

Have had my sod for one year now and it is looking great! Been lots of work to keep the yard watered with the lack of rain this year but it is looking really good! Layed my own top soil and gradeded it properly and that does make all the difference. Layed the sod ourselves and made sure the seams were nice and tight.

Wagner Sod is awesome. Great people, great service. As Paul Harvey would say, heres the rest of the story: We bought a home in a new development, and prior to irrigation and sod install included with the purchase I was independently installing some landscape and outdoor patio elements. The patio installer left a bunch of extra earth, smoothed it out where they initially dumped it and did not leave the grading as they found it. This would have created a significant drainage issue. When I called the installer they informed me they wouldnt return. The patio installer also left quite a bit of class five and sand behind. This needed to get taken care of before my sod install. I was unable to find an excavator in the short turn time prior to Wagner coming to install my sod what was supposed to be the following Wednesday. My builder, knowing Wagner would be doing a top level grade prior to sod install and would have the equipment out there ,suggested I reach out to Wagner. I did and I am super happy about it. Chelsea answered her phone even though she was off for the day, told me she thought they could help but would confirm Monday morning. I got that confirmation, and the best part was that not only were they coming out that morning to prepare my lot for sod including the re-grade of the problem area, they laid the sod two days ahead of schedule! Zach was awesome with the re-grade and even put an extension on a sprinkler head for me. They crew laying the sod were great, and their lead Troy was super helpful in explaining what I needed to do with the system and watering schedule to get the sod rooted. Needless to say, Wagner is clearly full of good people who value customer service. Thank you, Wagner!

Ive needed 3 new sprinkler heads since buying a home with an in-ground sprinkler system, and these folks have been a great help for this DIYer. And very reasonable; at my last visit they used my old innards and sold me only a housing for $5. They also blew out my system this Fall which was well done. My neighbor recommended them and would rate the same I believe.

Poor products, poor customer service. Installed dead trees on our lot several years ago. I recently called for sprinkler service on a controller they installed in 2015. Was told uh, not sure we service that one anymore, let me look into it and call you back . Nothing over a month later. Stay away!!!

Great prices on sod, appeared to be fresh cut, worked great on our yard.

Sprinkler heads broke after 1 year. Charged fee replaced 3 heads. Turned out 2 out of those 3 were broken too. Installed 5 sprinkler heads outside of my property. Contacted them and hear nothing from them after. Its been a month. Stay away!

Very disappointing. My sod was Installed less than 4 months ago and 1/3 of it is either dead or dry pan. Much of the sod never mended and some corners can still be lifted. I watered it exactly as directed. Called the company to ask if there is a solution. I was told to buy my own compost and grass seed and fix it myself. Every sod company I called had a one-year guarantee. I gave them more than one chance to make things right. I don t like to give bad reviews, in fact it s very rare. But this was necessary. Don t take your chances with Wagner sod. Very sad.

Wagner saved our lives today. How? We recently moved into a new home on a new lot which has not yet been sodded. Our little puppy - once potty trained - has refused to go outside without grass underneath his paws this week. My better half called Wagner today to see if they had any sod left and was prepared to be disappointed. Instead, not only did Chelsey and the Wagner team offer up a remnant, they dropped it on our front step free of charge. WHAT?! Chelsey and the team made magic happen today, and we could not be more grateful. Our little guy is clearly thrilled (as indicated by his first outdoor potty ALL DAY), and we are relieved that he has somewhere to relieve himself. Thank you, Wagner!! I m not sure why they took such kind mercy on us today, but we NEEDED it, and we felt compelled to say thanks publicly.

I have working with Wagner for a few years now for all of our irrigation maintance a season installation services. I have had a great experience with Wagner. They always answer the phone, have experienced techs and have made us feel like a priority. We will continue to business with them and happily recommend their services. On a separate note, we needed a Backflow test competed within 48 hours, or else we were going to be fined $1000. Wagner sent a tech out right away and had it completed. Saved us a lot of $. Strongly recommend!

They designed my project based on my needs and they did a great job of implementing it. Even during the project they asked lots of questions and were very accommodating.

I had a number of bids for my project which included sod, irrigation, and landscaping. Wagners were competitive in price but most importantly they were able to start my project almost 6 weeks earlier than I could get other companies out. Quick and efficient from start to finish. There were a few issues which Norb was good to address and rectify.

I cannot recommend more strongly against using Wagner. Wagner Sod installed my irrigation system in my new house. Using Wagner was a terrible mistake. I had no control over the subcontractor that my house-builder used. Wagner did not consult with my (like their website says) before starting work. I wanted sprinklers placed differently around my future landscaping. I was moving sprinklers while they were digging trenches! The lead guy working on the job was rude to me and arrogant. The lead guy honestly didnt care. The quality was exceptionally poor. An incompetent Wagner rep had to come over and fix my system 3 times! Sprinklers are crooked and some were buried under their sod. The guys who installed the system did not test it well. Almost every sprinkler was set wrong and shot into the neighbors yard, other lots, road, etc. A few of the laborers opened my garage door without asking me and came into my garage. They did not have permission to trespass like that.

Wagner Sod plows our business lot in Eagan and they are incredibly helpful. They go out of their way to make sure we are safe and are able to freely enter and exit the building. In fact, truck #55 is our hero! Today he pulled in just as two cars were stuck and not able to get out. He helped guide those cars that were stuck in our lot on where to park and plowed them out to the road. We are very impressed with their services. Highly recommend for business or personal snow/lawn care needs!

Had them deliver two pallets of sod, great price and great delivery time, people on the phone were friendly we live in the south metro. Going to hire them again this year for more dirt and sod.

I purchased a home with an irrigation system that had been installed by Wagner Sod so I decided to retain their service for upkeep and maintenance. I landscaped the back yard and added a patio. Prior to starting the project I called Wagner Sod and their scheduler, Denise, told me that I should just have the landscape company cut the lines and pull them up and that Wagner Sod would come out and reroute/repair them. Denise was given the date of our project and confirmed that all I need to do was to call and they would send someone out to make the repairs. I asked the landscape company about this and they confirmed that was standard practice for the industry. When I called back to have the repairs done, Denise told me they could not make the repairs because they were too busy blowing out systems (even though she knew when our project had been scheduled and told me what to do). I asked to speak with the manager or owner so she connected me to Paul Wagners voicemail. I left a message. When I did not receive a call back after several days, I called again and she put me into his voicemail. I left another message and he did not respond to that either. A week later my wife and I were travelling in Montana and realized Paul Wagner had not called back, so my wife called and was put into his voicemail. She left a message and he did not call back. Several days later she tried again and again he did not return the call. The obvious message from Paul Wagner was they he did not care about his residential clients. GOOD NEWS...I called a company named Best Irrigation located in Coon Rapids. What a delight and difference from the service I received from Wagner Sod. The manager or owner named Dennis listened to my story and immediately scheduled a crew to come to my home and repair the lines. They were knowledgeable and pleasant and reasonably priced. I have decided to use them in the future. If you are looking for irrigation service, DO NOT waste your time calling Wagner Sod!

We have been working with drainage issues around our home over the summer, talking with landscapers, excavators, sprinkler system installers and others when we came upon Wagner Sod Co. about how late in the season they provide sod. It turned out that they were able to do it all from start to finish, offered to come out and look it over and give us a proposal. Norbert Wagner came, laid out a plan, gave us all we needed to know and had a crew on site the next week. He said that they could do the whole thing in a day and a half; and thats exactly what they did--from start to finish. They took care of everything, every one of the people we dealt with were friendly and good at what they do, and we couldnt be happier with the results. Wagner Sod Co. get our highest recommendation and we couldnt be happier with the results.

Can you give zero stars? The president of the company is a total jerk. They have incredibly poor customer service and dont care about your experience after their shoddy work is complete. Do not use them.

All I can say is Buyer Beware. They will take your money and run. If I could give zero stars I would. This is how shady they are. I called to ask if I could have them come out to start my sprinkler system. The lady on the phone said, Were running a special on the spring start up and fall shut down. We discussed the price and what that covered. At no time was I offered any other options. More importantly, at no time was I told this was a no money back situation. They were unable to fit me in for 4 weeks, which in an ordinary spring might have been fine. I scheduled with them. But then the weather really heated up for an extended period of time and so I needed water, and I opened and used my sprinkler system on my own. I emailed Wagner Sod to cancel my appointment and refund my money, three weeks before the scheduled appointment. At that time I was told Nope. This was a no money back deal. So, they have stolen my money, essentially, without clearly describing important information which would help make my decision. So UNETHICAL. When I called to them how I felt they were very dismissive. I was told that the explanation for no money back was in the set of brochures they sent me which advertised their services. This of course was after they took my credit card information and charged me, sealing the deal. DO NOT EVER consider using this company! Read the other horrible reviews on here and run the other way.

Burned huge dead patches in our lawn with their fertilizer. Dandelions all over the lawn despite expensive weed treatments. Broken sprinkler heads, despite inspection and repair. Very poor customer service. Very expensive. Run away.

I had been using another irrigation company for about 5 years when I made the change to use Wagner based on referral. I couldnt be happier! The prior company that I used had installed and maintained the irrigation system for the previous homeowners. The employees were great but the owner lacked any sense of customer service. Wagner has been friendly, prompt and responsive to my maintenance needs. They do become busy during the spring and fall seasons, but have always worked to align my needs with their full schedules. Based on the quality work and great customer service, I intend to continue using Wagner for the indefinite future.

scheduling is a huge issue. they dont show up between scheduled times and no one calls you to tell you they are running late. huge waste of my time.

We have been using Wagner Sod at our shop for years and they have always been good to us. They just recently did some major repairs on our sprinkler system and they were great. The guy that fixed the system took the time to tell me and show me exactly what happened and what needed to be to done to repair it. Great customer service! I will use these guys for years to come!

Wagner Sod struggles in terms of customer service. I have had multiple issues with them over the years, from professionalism of their technicians to scheduling of service. I believe their prices are fairly competitive but they lack organizational skills and I have decided to take my irrigation business elsewhere.

Ive used them on some rental properties for irrigation needs. Scheduling and follow-up seems to be an issue.
