I am writing to express my deep disappointment with how Lucas Lawn Care, owned by Corey Schmitter, has handled the damage they caused to my property. On September 19, 2024, their team damaged my fence, including one panel and three posts. I have attached photographic evidence and a recorded statement from Corey acknowledging responsibility. Corey initially assured me he would replace the parts over the weekend if they were in stock. However, after nearly a month without communication, Corey informed me that the first batch of parts was bent and had to be reordered. After another 2-3 weeks, he informed the workers that the second set of parts was also damaged and he was seeking an alternative supplier. By early November, I reached out to Company A for an estimate. The original style of my fence had been discontinued, but a similar one was available. I forwarded the estimate to Corey on November 13, offering him the option to pay me or coordinate with Company A. Corey said he preferred to get the parts himself and install them, which was surprising, given that he had already tried and failed to order parts twice. I also contacted four other fence companies. Only one inspected the damage, quoting 30-35% more than Company A. Corey continued to push for a DIY repair and, when asked to bring a sample of the materials, said he could not. On November 21, 2024, I informed Corey that I would proceed with Company A and could be reimbursed via Zelle. Corey called the estimate “unreasonable” and offered to pay half of it or do the repairs himself. I raised concerns about his qualifications, as his business focuses on lawn care, not fence repairs. Corey claimed to have installed over 15 fences, which was hard to believe. I asked for before-and-after photos and diagrams of his proposed repair, but Corey did not respond. On November 25, he sent half the quoted amount via Zelle but stopped communicating after that. This amount is insufficient to repair the damage his company caused. I am left questioning whether this is the behavior of a reputable business. Damaging property and only offering partial payment is unprofessional and disappointing.
I have been using Lucas Lawn care for mowing and small landscape project for two years. Have been very pleased with results. Good communication, fair pricing, conscientious work habits.

Corey did a great job communicating with me, very prompt. I even asked for last minute, same day service which they were gratefully able to accommodate - as luck would have it. Good technology that kept me abreast of when to expect the service and they did a great job mowing and mulching. I will continue to use Lucas annually!

Corey and the team at Lucas Lawn Care have been incredible. We first found them when we were in a tough spot with needing quick mowing service and they were responsive, reasonably priced and did a great job. When we bought our house, we continued with Lucas Lawn Care knowing that we would be in good hands. We recently had landscaping services done and both my husband and I are so impressed with how amazing our yard looks. Corey has been communicative, knowledgable and does a thorough and thoughtful job. Would highly recommend!

They went above and beyond to make things right. Hope to use their service in the future chose this company because they had a 5 star rating. I had contacted them mid March and had an appointment scheduled for March 24th. With the rain he contacted me and said he would need to reschedule and would contact me when he was back from vacation. I waited and finally contacted him earlier this week. After a few days he said he would need to do morning appointment. I was scheduled for 1st thing April 26th, today, but he was a no show. I work second shift and get home really late so getting up at 7 am and getting 3-4 hours of sleep isnt much fun but I wanted to make sure I was alive and could pay after the service was complete. Very disappointing at the fact I was reaching out for the services numerous times, accommodated their scheduling needs, and then no showed on.
Lucas was mowing my neighbors lawn and helped weed eat a hard to get to hill in my yard for free. He is very friendly and professional!

When sleet, freezing rain, and snow were forecast this winter, I phoned Lucas Lawn Care and they put my house on their list to clear driveways. They came as promised. I really value finding a business that will clear snow at homes, as opposed to hoping a nearby teenager will happen to show up. I will certainly contact them again next winter.

Corey is amazing. Having worked closely with pros in the home services industry for almost a decade, I am acutely aware of how difficult it can be to find a good landscaper/lawn care company. Anyone can slap a sign on a truck and find work but the results are rarely stellar.
