Waited 5 days for someone to show up to mow my yard.. Do not use this service..

Great work

I have an absolutely horrible experience with them they send out contractors its basically like an Uber service for lawn mowing some of the people that they sent out barely did anything and then some of the people that they sent out didnt even show up what I would call the try to confirm someone coming in no one would contact me when I try to report that no one ever showed up they dont even care and all they told me to do was reach out to the crew who were not responding in the first place

Ive tried about ten different crews now between my properties and they are the WORST. Unbelievably poor quality and communication

Worst company to get lawn care from, they are absolutely not professional or responsive. They just keep rescheduling my lawn mowing service and the person never came. They respond to every request expect for the question when do you come. I dont know their perspective, building a fancy app doesnt make your company look cool when people who work for you are stupid.

I had one issue and it was resolved right away!

Pricier. Can get lower prices elsewhere or even if you directly reach out to the parties they send. Also depends on who comes for your service. They may not even do the job properly.

Evelyn does a terrific job. It s so nice to come home to my lawn looking gorgeous every time. I get communication when they re on the way and pictures when the job is done.

Ive used LawnStarter over the past year for lawn mowing and maintenance. Ive been pleased with the communication on any delays due to weather or scheduling conflicts and keeping me informed. The work Justin and his associate complete is always excellent. Overall very pleased with the service and pricing.

I used Lawnstarter for the first time this week. I was pleased with Ben who did my yard. He did a very thorough job, and cleaned everything up really well. He was very friendly. The back yard was a little clumped so he went over it again. I did a good job with the blower too.

First reviewer I have ever left. 3 weeks ago they were suppose to cut my lawn, they cut a quarter of it and what they did cut was uneven. I called, they gave me a 15 dollar discount, and rescheduled a new crew to come out. They never came, so 3 weeks down the road and my lawn hasnt been mowed once. Customer service sucks besides chris. They tell you to go their app that doesnt work or solve my problems. Mowing lawn is very simple, figure it out.

Over 3 weeks of cancelations and reschedules. I added 1 star for them being functional last season.

Chad Mann is my man, and he is so wonderfully sweet and willing to work with me! I can be a bit oblivious at best sometimes, and he is a patient man who is quick and efficient at what he does. I m grateful for his help! Thank you so much for your service! I hope to continue using you for many years to come!

If you are in need of Indianapolis lawn care, LOOK HERE!!!! I searched high and low for a company who would fit my budget and take care of my jungle of a yard. After just one cut my grass looked incredible!!!!!! They offer really great deals and Ben took excellent care of us and our yard. They have quick and friendly communication, and they are very fair!!! :)

The WORST lawn service you could look for! EXTREMELY unprofessional I ve literally been waiting for 4 days of scheduled services and no one ever showed! Even today I was told someone was on the way and no one ever showed so I canceled! Do NOT waste your time because that s all you will be doing!

Poor service. Poor communication.

I am so angry! If I could put zero stars I would! We got scammed! LawnStarter Lawn Care Service are scammers! Our first cut was suppose to cost $19. Plus we were suppose to have a $20 credit for sharing and tagging them. They ended up charging $53 for a long grass fee. Our lawn was only 3 inches long! The fee is suppose to only apply to grass that is over 6 inches long. Oh and they also left all of the grass trimmings completely covering both streets! We are on a corner lot.

Im very pleased with Lawnstarters , GILBERTO AND CREW! They are friendly and very accommodating. They are self-directing and get the job done. They get the job done very well! Customer satisfaction is very important to Gilberto. He welcomes customer input and doesnt leave until the customer is completely satisfied with their work! Im very satisfied with Gilberto and Crew. I would recommend them to anyone that needs yard work etc. to be done. And.. wants it completed satisfactorily! Sincerely, Debra Durrett

Lawn Starter and Lawn Lovers are the same entity. On my initial call they sales rep kept asking me the same questions repeatedly. She was very difficult to communicate with. I could understand what she was saying, it wasnt like a language barrier. It was more like she wasnt even paying attention to what I was saying. After an adequate amount of frustration I politely told her that I would look elsewhere. I made a call to Lawn Lovers. When I told them what services I was inquiring about. They already had my information. I asked how she knew all of the info, she said yes we have your information because you called Lawn Starter before you called us. We are the same. I just hung up and blocked them. If you dont feel comfortable in the beginning of a prospective proposal. Lose it. You will more than likely experience a nightmare for the rest of the ride. Beware of these folks.

We renewed our service from last year and while we have had a mow scheduled, no one has turned up despite trying to contact them by phone, email, through the app, and messaging our crew directly. The only response Ive been able to receive from ANYONE with LawnStarter is from their text system (which they have been using to spam me all week with special offers and trying to get me to sign up for additional services). Those responses just try to direct me to one of the other customer service options which are not getting back to me.

Cut my lawn so badly a neighbor (who I have never spoken to) came over to ask who was assigned to us so she knew whether or not to cancel her service in advance. Filed a concern and was told a few days later someone would fix it. Went away for a week and came back to the same terrible lawn. Called to ask for a refund and never received a call back. $49 a week. What a joke. Would have left a positive review last year, but never now. Switching to a smaller, more personal service.

Everyone was friendly and happy to help. Tyriek did a great job and I m sure my dog appreciates having a nice lawn to run around in! The app also makes it easy to schedule, communicate with crew and tip!

Impossible to get a response from customer service. Attempted to cancel services twice but they kept coming while I was at work and charged me. Ended up blocking their transactions

I will never use this service again

The job was not done as billed so a follow up was scheduled. 6 days later even after contacting through the app...nothing. Customer service is a recording and the only one that answers is sales. Canceled!

I can not tell you how much I advise you do not use this company. Literally the most unreliable, unprofessional and worst customer service I have ever had at any company I have ever dealt with. One time, I was young and stupid and hired a very creepy man to mow my grass off of Craigslist. He harassed my wife and kept sending creepy texts. At this point, I would rather have creepy Mike back.

The last two providers that came to my home didn t even mow the entire lawn but they have no problem charging me full price. The last crew came out after I canceled service and all they will do is a $15 credit?? I wonder how the people that ran this site would feel if they were the customer. Horrible service

I have cancelled the services early summer last year because im not happy with their services and its way too expensive and so many hidden charges. And then today i saw a 6.30usd charge from lawn starter. What is this freaking charge for? Theres not even work to be done since its still winter here and have tons of snow! Il be calling my bank and lawn starter tomorrow this is ridiculous!! What a bunch of thieves and robbers! I hate this company! I cant believe people use their services.

Do not use this company, unless you want to throw money down the toilet. I will post pictures of my yard and the work that was done, as well as the emails and text messages between the company and let you decide if you still want to hire them.....

LawnStarter is the best lawn care service Ive ever had. They let you know when they cant make it due to weather- and when they will be back to work on your lawn. They work hard and do a fantastic job! Thank you Frank!

I have had only positive experiences with LawnStarter. Corey and Conner are part of my mowing crew and they are thorough, polite nd quick. I like being able to handle everything through the app. The message responses are always very fast. I would highly recommend.

They have been punctual, done quality work, and communicative. I have been appreciative of the attention they have paid to my lawn.

I had a week of no call no show. Terrible customer service. How do they stay in business?

Terrible experience. 1st person scheduled never showed up after 4 days and when I looked him up online he has a criminal record in Indy for burglary (unusual name so fairly certain this was the same guy). Tried to cancel the whole thing and received no response beyond several emails saying they would reassign us to another person. In the meantime grass is getting longer so over the weekend we managed to mow the front with our semi functional mower (the whole reason for trying the app). Meanwhile no response from customer service and when I tried to cancel online it said something about canceling after my minimum 3 visits. Monday morning, I get a message saying they are sending someone new out. I get home today and they have mowed the front again !! On the lowest setting scalped the yard and left bare dirt in places. Better yet they didn t mow the back!!!! I m done and tried to call but no real human on the phone after 30 minutes but went straight to leaving a message. This place is a joke. Still no resolution...

Requires a minimum of 3 appointments with an automatic subscription which you must remember to cancel if you dont want.

They keep you informed on your lawn service and always do a great job.

***EDIT***If I could do zero I would - I submitted a quote request for additional work around my yard. Got the quote back accepted the quote and it was scheduled to start that weekend. On Sunday, I received a message stating that the job was bigger than they thought and it was going to be $250 more than quoted. I told them I would need to discuss with my husband - contacted company by email. Crew showed up Wednesday, so I figured it was resolved. Got message after they left that their chainsaw broke and theyd be back the next day ( which they didnt show) and by the way , hauling off the branches that were cut down was not included in the quote! I am now 5 emails and 3 phone calls in to the company with no resolution, the work isnt completed, theres a big pile of brush on my side yard and theyve already charged my credit card! Im waiting on a supervisor to call me back but I think this is going to involve me getting my attorney involved. Be very wary of additional services and do not accept a job as complete if they havent completed it! And ALWAYS message through the app as it keeps a record of it. ***Additional info*** It has now been almost a month- the job is STILL not completed- it has taken almost a month, daily phone calls , alot of yelling to get some of my money back, a promise of someone coming to haul off the debris ( not holding my breath) AND I cant cancel the service yet because in order to get the credit for the debris to be hauled off the account has to be active!! Needless to say, once the credit appears on my card I will be disputing the balance AND filing a complaint with the BBB for them charging my cc before the job was completed. .

Great way to exercise how working together works. Very nice to use the app as a tool to improve our service and drive to excellence every day.
