I rarely write reviews for services but feel I should for Kapps. I havent had weeds since beginning the service. Jordan, my tech, was polite, helpful and very conscientious. You will find that Elese, who does the scheduling, is also friendly and professional. I previously used two other companies and definitely recommend this one.

Ive used Kapps for several years now with progressively worsening service. There has been two cases where theyve left gates open and when inquired, refused to accept responsibility. Last fall a downspout was smash and then this spring they disrupted my landscaping because apparently their staff was too lazy to use the 6ft wide gate and instead drove their machinery over the walkway landscaping rock and edging.

Woke up this morning to Kapps performing a service on my yard that I did not schedule. Ive never been a customer and apparently they serviced the wrong house. I called to let them know and they couldnt even tell me what they did to my lawn so I was aware.

I signed up with Kapps due to the sales team ensuring me that the chemicals used on my lawn are safe to children and animals as I have both. Two of my domestic animals dropped dead after chewing on my treated grass, days after treatment. Being suspicious of what was sold to me, I requested copies of the the chemical information and ingredients. Right on the label it says HAZARDOUS TO DOMESTIC ANIMALS. I spoke with district director, Bob, who insisted I was wrong and offered no resolution. Did this kill my animals? I cannot say for sure but I can, however, say for sure that I was lied to. Bottom line is: This company false advertises their product and if you have pets or children keep them out of your yard or find another company who uses organic, safe products.

DO NOT USE THEM. Horrible customer services! I canceled service 8 months ago because of poor quality and service along with horrible customer service . Paid them off in full and canceled service then they show up on the property 8 months later doing service. Called and spoke to the rep and they said they have no record of the cancelation. They are scammers and play games. Use a different company

So far, weve had weed control for Summer 2023, however, there will be other maintenance throughout the Summer. We have tried several different, well known, companies to care for our lawn, however, Kapps is the best! We highly recommend them to all.

We have always had a positive experience with Kapps. They treat our lawn monthly for flea and ticks and we have had no problems with pests since day 1 when Kapps started their service. Its worth the $50 per month to make sure our dog and family are comfortable. They always call ahead when we are going to have a treatment and they offer a payment portal to easily make payments each month. All in all, good company to work with.

Great company and they stand behind the work. If I get some surprise weeds I just email them and they make a free service call. They do a great job and if my lawn acts funny they fix that too.

I imagine the owner of this business and I were both at the same movie theater. While I pulled up to the curb to pick up my disabled mother, he got upset because he was behind me and sped around me driving dangerous because he apparently couldn t wait one second. Extremely rude and was in poor taste.

We used Kap lawn since late May 2023 - our lawn looks worst with them after 3 months. Every time I called to ask for them to come back and spray and complained about our lawn they said give it some time we will re spray. Very disappointed in the product they use and the service we received. Finally cancelled our service going forward.

Terribly disappointed in Kapps Green Lawn. I had them aerate our yard a year ago when they did a neighbors yard. This year they showed up, did it again without being scheduled by me or notifying me they were coming. Then billed me. They say thats their policy. They auto renew without a signature unless told otherwise. I had no intent on using them again. I would not recommend them for this reason. Buyer beware. Updated: The owner did reach out. We have a positive conversation. He understood my position about an auto renew on a one time service. Seems like a nice guy. Offered me a refund. I told him it wasnt necessary as they had performed the work, sounded like he may send it anyway.

A big thank you for Kapps working in this terrible weather-they did a great job on my snow removal! I have used Kapps (also for my lawn) for many years and any time I had an issue they came out and took care of or advised me.

We used Kapps for 2021 and initially they did a great job. (We even recommend them to our neighbors) We had to stop using them because we were moving, were told they do not service in the area we were moving to, and were disappointed that we could not continue to use them as our experience had been great up until that point. When we found out we would be moving we contacted Kapps on March 24th at 4:07pm to tell them we would need to cancel our service. During that call my husband and I we told that they did not come out to provide the winter treatment for our lawn in Q4 2021, which we did not know that service had not been provided but appreciated them being honest with us. We were told that they had already scheduled someone to come out the next day March 25, 2022 and that they would provide that treatment as a replacement for the winter treatment we did not receive then would cancel our service for no change as they had not been out by that time to provide any service for 2021. We initially told them to not worry about it because we were moving and just wanted to cancel the service but they insisted because they already scheduled someone to come out anyway and told us it could not be changed. So the person came out on March 25th, provided the treatment and left a statement saying that the payment was remit. We called to ask about the remit statement explaining we canceled our service and we were told the March 25th treatment would not be charged as it was a replacement treatment for the one we did not receive. They explained to us that the statement was just to show we would not to be charged for that treatment. On June 30th we were contacted saying we had not paid for our service in 90 days. We explained to them again we had canceled service back in March and that they had not been to our old house since. After multiple conversations with different people in the company we were bullied into paying for service we did not receive and were told that every call is documented but never saw our call on March 24th canceling our service. We were bullied into paying for a service we never received. We are disheartened at how they have handled this issue as we have never had any issues with them in the past. I highly recommend not using them as they are dishonest, unprofessional, and will do anything for a dollar.

Don t use this terrible company. They have terrible customer support and their product doesn t work. All I have is weeds even after they spray. I called and told them and they said they couldn t help lol. You d think they would respray and figure it out. Rip off. Negative

Great service, great results! We ve used Kapps in Indianapolis for the past couple of years. We recently purchased a home, and the yard had been a bit neglected. Their services have improved our yard tremendously in a very short time. They are very responsive and professional, and the treatments do a great job. But if we ever see a growth patch of weeds or whatever emerging, they are very quick to apply a treatment with no delay or additional cost. We also utilize them for mosquito control, and it truly worked. I hosted an outdoor event in our backyard this summer that was thankfully mosquito free due to their timely treatments . And we utilize our outdoor area almost every day, and it s so much more enjoyable, without having to deal with mosquitoes. Highly recommend !

Cancelled my service after being a customer for 4 years. Always did a good job on our lawn. Selling the house and moving to Texas, now they need a office in Houston. To do my lawn down there.

My yard has very few dandelions while my neighbors have tons. Glad we started working with them! Customer service is warm and professional. Cost for the year was great for our budget. Nice discount if you pay for the year upfront but still offers month to month payment options. You can also get discounts for referrals.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU PLAN ON PAYING IN ADVANCE! THIEVES! BEWARE! I received a mailer this year about lawn care and decided to call and get things set up. During that phone conversation it was explained to me that my yard would be treated a certain amount of times with an aeration at the end of the season. So far, sounds normal We agreed on everything and I even added a White grub control treatment for additional cost. I pre-paid everything in advance to save an extra 5% is what I was told. We are now three treatments in with the grub control and I receive a phone call about adding an aeration at the end of the season for an additional fee. Once informed of this NEW rule, I spoke with Brandon. He stated to me that The Aeration was not part of my package that I agreed to. WEIRD. Brandon stuck to his version of what we talked on the phone about, and even giggled at me while I was being lied to over the phone. I have discontinued my service with KAPPS and am awaiting a check for the remainder of what was not done this year. A complete waste of time this has been. It s been along time since I ve been hustled. If their business responds to this review, don t be fooled. What I say is absolutely 100% accurate with my experience. PART 2 - after speaking with the - making it right team The solution presented to me was to meet them half way by paying A discounted rate for the additional service that was originally promised and then taken away months later. - Good luck on the next 25 years, God bless, and continued success.

Used for 5 months. At first the lawn looked great. Then, in the last months it looked ugly and brown with patches where they were spraying. I Called customer service a few times in those months but each time a spoke with a lady that sounded like she didnt care and I was disturbing her Life! Canceled service.

This company damaged my fence, strung me along for over a month after they agreed to repair it. Then once they received the estimate refused to fix and denied that it was their fault. Over an entire month and no member of leadership would call me or come out and meet with me until today. Poor organization and leadership!

I had service for 2 years at 6 apps per year. Front and side. My lawn has never looked worse. Weeds and dead grass. Last spring it was starting to look bad but thought Id give it 1 more year. HUGE mistake. This spring it looks like ive never treated. I sent pictures to Kapps with no reply. Only thing sent to me was a quote for this years service.

They have no customer service to speak of. They do not value their customers.

I was referred to this company. I gave them a shot but after a couple of applications, the lawn wasnt showing any improvement. It wasnt until I applied Scotts Weed and Feed before any improvement was seen. The day of the 3rd service, I received my $51 bill and asked this to be considered a re service based on the lack of results. I was told this would not be possible. Based on that, I asked to cancel the service but I promptly paid my bill for services rendered. Even after the 3rd service which was to include weed treatment, once again NO improvement. I called and asked for them to re service from my last PAID treatment for weeds and they refused. I could maybe understand this if I didnt pay my bill, but I paid for their services which includes a re-do and they refuse??? How is this ethical? Or better yet, why not try to appease a customer to win their business back?

If they had a 0 star rating they would get 0 stars from me! This company completely destroyed my lawn in less than 1 month!! I use to have a green lawn and now all i have is big dead spots all over. They said someone will be over to access the damage but no one came!! Do not use their services!

Used this service all summer and still had a ton of weeds. When I called to cancel and see if ONE application could be taken off the bill the office manager proceeded to get an attitude with me and tell me that it was my fault. Would not recommend using this service.

We are using Kapps for the second year in a row and are pleased with them. They have competitive prices and will work with you to make a custom plan thats best for your grass and wallet. Update: . recently we have been having problems with weeds around our patio. I contacted the office and they immediately set up a time to have a specialized treatment setup for that area. These guys are awesome.

Watched the tech only do the front yard and not the back. Called and talked to the general manager and was called a liar a charged the full price- would not recommend.

Rude employees, didnt finish the job they were paid for

AVOID THIS COMPANY!! They sprayed weed killer continuously into my flower beds, killing all my flowers and plants. When I contacted them about it, they sent a manager to inspect my flower beds. The manager agreed that their service is indeed what caused damage to my plants and agreed to replace the plants. He put this in writing for me. However, several days later another manager called and stated that they would not be able to replace after all b/c the majority of the plants they damaged are hostas which will grow back just fine after they are cut down for the season . I verbally cancelled any further service with them on the phone that day. Fast forward to this new season and they have now come out and treated my lawn 3 times without any communication. I have attempted to call and leave voicemails reminding them that I told them last year that I wanted no further service from them. This final treatment they added grub control treatment, which is a much larger charge to my already unwanted bill! I was finally able to get in touch with someone at the office who denied the conversation that I had with the manager last year, denied that they have received any voicemails and threatened to send it to collections. I even asked that a manager be sent back out to my home to inspect my flower beds and see that they have been permanently impacted. Even after cutting them down last fall, some are not growing and others are growing in with half of the leaves already dead and shriveled. They want me to pay half to avoid getting my credit ruined. Half of a service that I verbally cancelled last year! Reporting to BBB today!

I wish I had read these reviews before hiring this company. I have never encountered such incompetence. The women working in their office answering their phone is beyond rude. My lawn looks ok. Not a real difference. They do two accts. For me. When I paid them I sent in one check with both invoices. I guess this was above their pay grade because they applied the entire check to one acct. after calling and speaking to the incredibly rude woman I was told she could not split the check between accts. Omg. It s 2018 are you kidding me? So one account has a huge credit and one is left with a balance. Finally after no luck from them figuring it out I again spoke to ms rude and asked the full balance on the acct. I mailed in a check. 2 weeks later I get a call from a collection agency. Morons. First I hope they take 30 percent of the check. Second if it effects my credit I will pursue options. I am filing a complaint with the BBB.

Please dont use this company. I found they do not really care about their customers and are very short and rude on the phone as if you are bothering them by calling. There are other good lawn treatment companies in the area and I would highly suggest using anyone else. Very disappointing.

Horrible customer service. I called to schedule aeration and overseeding and also to sign up for treatments. The representative told me it was too late in the year to sign up for aeration and seeding (its mid September) and since I wasnt a current customer they couldnt do it anyways. I was wanting to sign up for treatment but since they were so rude I just called another company and now have treatments and aeration scheduled with them. Kapps representatives need a lesson in customer service!

I would NOT recommend Kapps lawn service. Horrible Customer service and had more weeds by end of the year then before I got it treated.

They came out multiple times and couldnt even kill dandelions.

Poor customer service and poor policies should you move. Make sure you cancel your policy, that you never signed any agreement to, or they will continue to treat the future homeowners lawn for several applications and expect you to pay for it. One would think after not getting paid after their first treatment they would stop but they apparently want to rack up a bill because their lawn service is subpar at best anyways.

Not recommended after using them for 6 applications of different services. I didnt see any difference in my lawn compared to what it was last year when I did it my self. Also, even though I cancelled the service last year, they just sent someone to do a service anyways for early spring today. I called to ask why and they said they didnt receive call and are forcing me to pay ~$40 for the service I didnt sign. They did the spring service application today and tonight is 10 snow in indy... thats just rip-off!!!!!

I love calling this company! I talk to the same person every time so I dont get 5 different people telling me 5 different things! Unlike Dish tv or Comcast you talk to people around the world. I really like how this company knows who I have been talking to.

I used Kapps for 2 years paying in full at the beginning of the season. I hesitated using them a 2nd year as I didnt seem much difference in my yard the first year but the sales person assured me that I would notice a huge improvement and they come as many times as they need to in between regular applications. I was home a few times when the technicians came to my home. They covered the front of my yard only and they time they spent was less than 2 minutes. When I called to let them know what I had witnessed the woman assured me that they cover the entire yard but if I wanted them to come back they would get to it when they could. This past fall my yard had several very large bare spots that were caused by the treatment Kapps used. They came out to my house about 3 weeks ago without my permission and sent me a bill for $35. When I called the representative to tell her that I did not sign up with them this year she was rude and defensive saying that I didnt cancel my service. I told her that I did not sign up for their service this year. She told me that I needed to call and cancel in January. I told her that I did not want service with them and did not renew. She told me it was not her problem that I didnt cancel. After 2 more calls, I was finally able to get them to stop coming to my home and billing me. I would not recommend Kapps, find a lawn service that has integrity.

I have used Kapps for several years, each year getting worse - especially 2012 & 2013. While I recommended Kapps to several neighbors over competitior previously, neighbors have stopped their Kapps service because of the poor weed control. This year Kapps said the first annual application did not have weed control, it was too cold... Weeds and thistle did not go away after 2nd annual application and not after extra service application. They say call after 10 days for free service to respray. They respray and it does nothing. Then they say we will move up your next application to treat again (and charge). What will the 3rd time do when 2 times did nothing. My neighbor went to the store and paid approx $25, put it in a liquid sprayer, sprayed and eliminated. This is something Kapps is having a problem with (it probably has to do with saving $$).

I signed up to use the foundation insect control program on my rental property. My tenents have noticed no difference after 2 applications and say that the technician does not spray around the whole house. Draw your own conclussions. I will not be using them again for both my house lawn and rental inseect control.
