Horticultural DNA is different from other Cape Cod landscaping companies. Founder Steven Fernandes has more than twenty years of experience in all phases of landscape construction, complemented by four years of hands-on training in the nursery industry. He also brings to his company the experience he gained and his values that were reinforced throughout his eight years of honorable military service as a U.S. Army engineer specializing in construction and combat engineering.

If I could rate this company at 0 or below - I would. Landscapers of HDNA damaged my fence while working at the neighboring house. At first HDNA ignored any of my concerns to resolve the issue and tried to get away with it. The owner simply did not respond to my calls. Finally, I talked with the management who denied any involvement and didn't wan't to take responsibilities for the damages. I had to open a court case. After a court hearing HDNA was found liable for the damages. Not to forget to mention management was absolutely ignorant, unprofessional and rude to deal with. Literally after brining up the issues about HDNA landscapers constantly blowing leaves to my yard I was told that it’s “funny that I mention things like that”. It Wouldn’t be funny if they had to clean it. I served in the military and the owner claiming been a military member for his benefits is a joke because he doesn't act like one especially allowing his employees to disrespect women. Regardless, I do not recommend this company: it cost me time and peace that no money can return. His comment below says it all: this is the level of communication I've been receiving and even after been found liable no apologies - greedy, ignorant and not communicative human
H-DNA is a company you can rely on. We found them to be responsive to our phone calls, patient with our many questions and decision making, and on target with their work schedule. Steve on several occasions came to explain and review what they were going to do, and/or check on progress of our landscaping project, including, plantings, irrigation system and hydro seeding. He and Shayna were always friendly, helpful, professional and accommodating. Would definitely recommend them and/or use them again.
Steve and his crew did an excellent job removing and installing a flag stone walkway at our cottage. He also hardscaped and hydroseeded the entire yard. His work is impeccable, his communication terrific , his time frame on point and his price was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend DNA Horticultural Inc Hyannis MA for any landscape or masonry job.
I've been very impressed with the HDNA team. I've worked with them to get a landscape design, including hardscape. For the hardscape, they were able to get the work done before the end of the year. They worked through rain to get the work done and it turned out perfectly. Steve came by when done to 'walk through' the effort and talk about the plans for next steps and provide great guidance for my fencing requirements. I am very pleased with the work thus far and look forward to working with the team implement the full landscape design.
We hired HDNA two years ago because we were dissatisfied with our previous lawn care provider. We live out of state but spend the summers on the Cape. HDNA had done an amazing job at taking care of the property - yard work, treatments and some outdoor construction (new steps, etc.) - all in our absence…just email and phone. They are helpful, pleasant and absolutely deliver on their promise high quality service. I even recommended them to my in-laws down the street….now THAT is a proper endorsement. Thank you HDNA!!!
Steve and his team have been great to work with. At first Steve only handled my irrigation system needs. But this past Fall my lawn was in need of repair/fertilization. Steve handled the reseeding/loam spread and fertilization project. Lawn has come back great. I have expanded the services needed to keep my lawn in great shape. I would recommend Steve to anyone needing lawn maintenance services.
Steve and his crew are wonderful! They have good communication, asked a lot of questions, and listened to our concerns. They kept us in the loop about arrival time, work in progress, costs, and many details about what they were doing. They also gave us some good suggestions during the work that proved useful. And, Steve even gave us more gravel for a temporary walkway that provided a path until next spring when we will do more yard work. We highly recommend Horticultural DNA!
Horticultural DNA did our landscaping, including adding a shell pathway, a decorative fence, irrigation system and new plant beds. They did an excellent job using what we already had planted and adding new plants. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. Steve and everyone is very knowledgeable and have been quick to respond to my many questions. Our yard looks beautiful and we are very happy with the service we received and the continuing upkeep they are providing.

This is the best of the best ! Eddie is always on time and does a great job. We have also had Teddie do our irrigation system. They all pay attention to detail. Steve is so professional and runs a great business. Oh..., and Shanna, your tops in service!!! Thank you all.
Steve and his crew did an awesome job taking out our big overgrown bushes and replacing them. Also did the drip irrigation around all new bushes. There clean up was impeccable. Great service.

Whoever said money can t buy happiness Cleary never had a lawn service ! This is my third year with Hdna ... my third year of having gorgeous green lush weed free lawn ... which makes me happy every time I look out my window or walk through my grass ... prices are more than reasonable Hdna comes out turns on my irrigation system maintains it through the season and then shuts it down so that everything stays functioning
Great lawn and garden service! Attention to detail. And care. Knowledgeable .. great customer service You can reach them anytime and get a response in minutes. We have also been happy with their work on planting shrubs and their construction work in redoing our driveway, digging a trench for electrical and gas lines and a fence

Each person will have their own experience. Mine was four stars away from what I expected. I like to communicate to the owner. Following a letter which followed emails, which coincided with phone calls which amounted to no response. I chose to write a review. As a new customer, with experience with former landscape contractors, I attempted to be clear on what I wanted done and when. This worked marginally, as the most substantial task for early season was not done as instructed. Then there was a billing issue, being billed for time not worked. Lastly an irrigation issue, following installation of a rain sensor. Which resulted in one return trip, and me learning more about the system, than the guy who was supposed to be the expert. I actually brought the system to full functionality, not the people I paid to do the job. Sadly prior to writing this review, I offered the info to the owner. With no response except a bill which was supposed to be adjusted, which was not. As of this post, no response to the letter sent, although the enclosed check cleared my account.
A very dedicated professional landscaping company. I found this company to be reliable and they start the job and finish it. Communication is very important to me in business and I found HDNa to be a great company to work with.

This is the absolute best company on Cape!! There is so much I can say about them!! The customer service is outstanding!!! They always call you right back and when they say they will be there they will be there! The work that they do is fabulous!! I know that when I come home it will look beautiful!!
