For years I worked to get my lawn in shape but struggled with constant weed infestations. I was at my wits end when I finally brought in Lawn Doctor, and its been a huge weight off my shoulders knowing Cliff Higgins is on the job. The state of our grass has improved so much that my neighbors (who have experienced similar issues with their lawn) stopped by to ask what my secret was. I definitely recommend Lawn Doctor, particularly to anyone whos feeling exhausted and out of their depth in the lawn department. These are your people.

My grass was experiencing challenges and bare patches. It needed some care and attention. I called the Lawn Doctor in 2021 to correct the bare patches and they put me on a schedule. There are a number of things that stand out for me regarding the Law Doctor: (1) They announce when they plan to arrive, and then arrive on time. There was one occasion when their timing clashed with the mowing company. They took that in their stride and came back later in the day. (2) When they arrive, it is like seeing an old friend. They knock on the door, ask about the lawn, let you know what they plan to do, and more importantly, they remember (or have exceptional notes) the state of the lawn from the prior visit. That attention to detail is appreciated. (3) They provide clear information on the treatment, what should be done immediately following the treatment, and provide advice on lawn maintenance and watering (4) There is a clear schedule of treatments that you can add to if you like, I added aeration, but there are other choices too. (5) They offer discounts by allowing customers to pay for a years worth of treatment at the end of the year to help you save money. (6) They genuinely care about their business and are very responsive to email inquiries. In fact, when you call them, you actually speak to a person! I would have no problem recommending them to another customer. They are just so helpful and enjoyable to use as a lawn maintenance company. This is an update to the prior review. Throughout 2024 the quality of service offered by Lawndoctor has been exemplarily, and they continue to provide the same quality of service I experienced in all the h prior years at competitive price too!. I will be signing up with them again in 2025.

Ive used other vendors in the past and always wanted them to be in a partnership with me in maintaining my property. What is got was a so-so effort. With Lawn Doctor I got that partnership from the start. As I had issues with my yard and they took an interest in solving m problems. Recently I had an issue, sent an email and one day later not one but two techs came out and looked at my problem. After they looked things over it was determined that the areas is question just needed more water. I know Lawn Doctor has many clients but in my dealings either with people on site, thru text or emails they make me feel like Im there only customer. They really work hard in making sure their clients are in the loop. If they have issues on their end or weather gets in the way they are quick to let you know whats going on. Cliff Higgins did my service 12/4. Came to front door explained what he was here to do, asked if I have had any issues and then did the treatment. Cliff looked and acted very professional, which I appreciate. He represents Lawn Doctor very well. Thx I would like to add that Daniel Glover not only does a good job with my property but also was very helpful with some opportunities my yard has and suggestions he made. Cliff Higgins did my weed and lawn spraying Monday 10/14. He was polite, professional and also looked the part. He let me know what he was here to do and advised me on when I needed to water the treated areas to get the best results. Raoul G has been doing a fantastic job on our lawn! We hired Lawn Doctor because prior companies we ve used haven t made a favorable outcome for our lawn. We asked them to check on our lawn and get it back in shape, and they were able to help us figure it all out. High acidity and root rot fungus were wrecking our lawn, but no longer! We spread a thin layer of topsoil and some Bermuda seed and have been seeing steady progress. Next spring we might go ahead and plant some sod, knowing that the sod will have high likelihood of taking root this time instead of falling apart after a month like we ve seen with previous sod applications. Sadly we got some grubworms recently, but we hadn t taken advantage of their protection programs, so that s on us! Raoul provided a treatment and warned that the existing worms will be killed but not any eggs, but he said they re happy to come out in a week if the eggs hatch and wreak more havoc. They know their stuff, they communicate well, and I m very happy so far!

Not good business to send a good paying customer to collections for 1 unpaid bill for $68 dollars. No courtesy phone call at all just a text saying you have been sent to collections. Once text was received bill was paid immediately. I can see if I have had a history of not paying before but that s not the case here. Good business is reaching out to your customer to see how this can be resolved. I will take my business elsewhere.

I consistently have a 5 star experience with my lawn technician Emmanuel and highly recommend him. For the record, I ve been using Lawn Doctor for over a year and I will admit I was skeptical at first because like everyone else, I was impatient and expected fast results with my horrible looking grass (it was brown, yellow, and orange in many spots). As I waited after each application over time, I started to see incredible results and now my lawn is LITERALLY the best looking, and most healthy in our cul-de-sac. So, you get what you pay for and I was tired of neighborhood lawn guys promising me good results with their Home Depot fertilizer. We and our lawn are glad that Fall is finally here and Lawn Doctor is there! December 9, 2022 Lawn Doctor is a reliable knowledgeable resource. They come when they are scheduled. They keep the lawn in good shape and counsel us how to take care of watering and mowing. We are glad to have Lawn Doctor doing the heavy lifting as that has become a challenge! April 2022 We asked Lawn Doctor to do something unusual for a doctor! After 42 years, a newly sodded lawn was our goal, but the weeds were rampant. Jeff from Lawn Doctor came out 3X to be sure that everything green was gone. He reapplied when necessary. Jeff knows his stuff! He got right to the root of the problem, and our weeds and indeed our whole lawn is now dead, just as we desired. Now, we can start anew. Jeff kept in touch by text; arrived when scheduled; gave us immediate email feedback. We look forward to Lawn Doctor keeping our new lawn healthy, just as a doctor would do! May 2022 Jeff from Lawn Doctor came out and did a fungus treatment in case our newly sodded lawn was overzealously watered. Better safe than sorry. Next Jeff applied fertilizer about a month after the sod was installed. He gave us direction about what sections of the lawn had been under-watered, so we could take action this week. Once again, good communication before and after a service is much appreciated. Emails detail what chemicals were used, suggestions about future care of the lawn and an easy to navigate website. Looking forward to continued good service! Did I mention we were awarded Yard of the Month . Been here forty years...that s a first! Aug. 2022 I can t figure out how to leave a new review, so I am adding on! Lawn Doctor continues to help us get through this drought with our newly sodded lawn. Neil came out and fertilized and weed controlled at end of June and Cliff did the same mid-August. They recommend watering schedules and how often to mow the lawn. As soon as that fertilizer goes down, the lawn really perks up and as an added bonus; it rains! Cliff was especially good with the fertilizer. He covered everything and it shows. We should have put in a sprinkler system, but sadly, regret is part of life. We hope to do the sprinkler thing with Lawn Doctor.

Im not sure they are still in business. I though I had an agreement for regular service but when I have reached out to them, I have not received a return call.

Raoul Gonzalez did an amazing job taking care of my yard! I am very grateful especially since the lack of rain is upon us but my grass is still green & healthy!!

Weeds and fungus were never controlled. I wasted sooo much money this year. I really wanted a lush yard, but all I got was brown patch and thriving Dove weed. Do NOT waste your money. Awful experience!! UPDATE: my review was premature in saying that I wasted my money last year. With persistence, Jeffrey Smith, supervisor for Lawn Doctor has continued to treat weeds and fungus, and has continued to fertilize my yard to where it is exactly where I want it to be. Despite this awful heat we have had all summer long, Mr. Smith has made my yard lush and green again. This is the best my yard has looked in years!! If you are like me and take pride in your yard, doing business with Lawn Doctor is a must!

We moved from TruGreen to Lawn Doctor after watching the tech spread ant killer only around the outside edge of our back yard sparing 100% of anthills that were in the middle of the yard. I lost complete confidence in TruGreen during further treatments when I watched them repeat the same of not treating the entire yard. We ve been using lawn doctor for a couple of years now and I m happy with the state of our front and back lawns. Daniel Glover visited this time. We enjoy listening to him laugh and talk on the phone with his buddies while he works on our yard. A happy chappy is Daniel.

Even after the summer drought, my lawn looks great - even with minimal watering. Cant wait to see how it comes back in the spring. Cliff is a nice guy, and is able to answer any questions I can throw at him.

The technicians are great. My lawn is doing okay. But Pearland is outside their normal service area so the service is awful. Missed appointments that dont get rescheduled until I call them. The time between appointments cant be depended on - sometimes 6 wks, sometimes as much as 9 wks. And it doesnt help to call them - the response is...well, we say 6- 8 weeks between service. But, thats not what I was told when I signed up! And it should be EVERY 6 weeks. Sadly, I keep using them because they are still better than TruGreen.

Cliff Higgins rang my doorbell and waited in the yard for me to open the door. He greeted me and told me the treatment he was doing. He asked if I had any problems. I told him about the dry grass patches due to the drought. He said that the grass will grow back. Cliff was very professional.

I would like to mention Emmanuel Williams came to my house today 1/11/2024 and explained to me what he was going to be doing today and I had shown him some of my concerns about my lawn and he listened to me patiently responded with what he was going to do and did a great job of taking care of my lawn today! Lawn Doctor began coming to my home for about a 1.5 yrs now and my lawn hasnt looked this good in almost 6 years! I used to do it myself but was putting the wrong stuff on my lawn... Lawn Doctor came out, inspected my yard front & back and told me what I needed, we set up a plan and within the first month my lawn was healthier, thicker, and greener! Wished I would of used them earlier!! I highly recommend lawn doctor of Houston!
