Mat did exceptional work for my properties at first, which is why I hired him. However, on one visit when he brought HELP, I noticed the quality of service wasn’t the same. When I pointed this out to Mat, his response was to stop servicing my properties altogether. I believe this decision was partly influenced by my neighbor, who had a confrontation with Mat about leaves blowing onto their property. Mat told me he assured the neighbor he would address the issue but felt the complaint was unreasonable, saying something like, “Really, all these leaves? What exactly did I blow over here?” When I followed up about some succulents Mat had disturbed previously—and again this time—I also noticed he had serviced my neighbor’s entire property at my expense. I told Mat this wasn’t fair to me and suggested using a tarp in the future. Apparently, speaking up about service quality and fairness gets you “fired” from your lawn guy. As they say, the beat goes on. XXXXXX Admit my neighbor SCARED you away. LOL!!!! Absolutely zero conflicts HERE. We live in PEACE & HAPPINESS here!! Prayers go out to anyone whom you're speaking of below or as you wrote here "I see that you decided to post a bad review, no problem. You actually helped my Google algorithm because it gives me a chance to respond, and people actually pay more attention to the business response to bad reviews than anything else. While I truly regret that our working relationship did not meet your expectations, I want to acknowledge the concerns you’ve raised. From the beginning, I made every effort to assist and accommodate your needs. However, it became clear that we were not able to align on certain aspects, and I made the difficult decision to end our working relationship. Throughout our relationship, I felt that our work quality remained high. It was apparent that you were never going to be happy, you enjoy conflict and making others unhappy. I assume that there is a long list of landscapers and other people who would agree. I now understand why you neighbors do not like you, yes several had bad things to say about about you. The individual helping yesterday was my father, he was simply wanting to help during his brief visit, he is an amazing person and I cherish having him with me to be part of building my business. I always strive to maintain high standards, and I appreciate your role in helping me identify areas to improve. Though this was my first 1-star review, I will use it as a learning experience and a reminder of the importance of avoiding clients like you in the future Thank you again for your feedback. This was my first time using Augusta Lawn Care and they exceeded my expectations. I was really impressed & pleased with their work. I will be using them again for my lawn. I would recommend using their services to anyone.
All I can say is WOW! Really easy to deal with, they did a fantastic job! They responded quickly and put me on the schedule so I could enjoy visiting with family instead of worrying about the yard over the holiday. Everything looks great, they really went above and beyond!
Overall I am very satisfied with the work done! I should’ve been more specific about a few areas but couldn’t ask for much more than what I was given with the fall cleanup and roof cleaning options. Will definitely be using them again! Update: Matt reached back out to me due to him feeling like I was not completely satisfied and he is coming back to fix the areas we had confusion on. Great business who cares about customer satisfaction!

Getting my flowerbeds ready for spring has never been easier. I was dreading trying to find the time to weed, mulch, and upkeep of them. Matt made them look absolutely stunning!!! What would have taken me two weekends was done in a day. I could not believe the the detail he put into them. I wish I would have taken before and after pictures.

Matt Helmke assumed responsibility for our lawn and garden care 2 years ago. We hired him after observing the work he had done on other yards in our area. We could not be more pleased with his service and fair pricing. He is hardworking, knowledgeable, dependable and extremely honest. He has successfully treated and repaired burns/blemishes in our yard and gardens that were made by another company. Our 30-year old yard has never looked better. Whether it is basic lawn care, the application of mulch or pine straw, humanely eradicating moles/voles, seasonal trimming, fertilizer or weed control . . . Matt does it all professionally!
