Mattia's Landscape, LLC in Hopatcong

Company came to my house a few months ago, assessed the property, took down my email and said he would email me an estimate. Never heard back from them...ever. I had to take a day off work for this estimate. Very disappointed.

I highly recommend Mattias Landscaping. Matt and his team did an amazing job grading my back lawn and putting down sod, at my new house! The yard was a disaster, a rocky, uneven, muddy mess and needed a good amount of repair and now it looks, as my neighbor said, like a grass carpet, which is not an easy job, here in the Hopatcong hills!! The price was great, the work was done professionally, neatly and much quicker than I thought. I really appreciated, that Matt knows his stuff and did not try to up sell me, at all and is very knowledgeable and informative. I also appreciated, that his crew, was very nice and worked hard. Had a great experience working with Mattias s Landscape. Matt was super easy to work with. After I received an estimate they came within and week and removed several large rhododendron bushes in expert time. I would highly recommend and will be calling them for all my future landscaping projects.

Had a great experience with Matt and the Mattia Landscape team this Fall. Contacted them in September to schedule a Fall Cleanup in the late season ahead of time via Facebook messenger. I was pleasantly surprised with the quick responses and also the flexibility in scheduling. They cleaned by 0.5 acre property in a matter of hours and also was able to blow off my roof and clean out my gutters! Great team and great experience. I reached out to Matt, of Mattias Landscaping, right after my husband and I moved into our house in December of 2020. The landscaping had been completely ignored for what looks like two solid years and we were SO incredibly overwhelmed as to how to take care of this we knew we needed a professional. Matt gave us a quote, came and took a look before spring came, and today they came in and completely cleaned up our poor, neglected, property. They spent over two hours picking up brush, blowing leaves and for the first time since we moved in, left us with a yard we arent embarrassed of. They did an incredible, professional job and I cannot recommend them enough to ANYONE who needs landscaping work done. We definitely will be calling them in the future for any projects we cant handle ourselves. Honestly, if I could give them more than 5 stars I would. This is the first year that are using Mattias Landscape. As of mid-April, we have had our non-flowering shrubs pruned and the shrub beds mulched. I was very pleased with the way that the shrubs were trimmed. I have used a couple of different landscapers over the last few years and they did not or could not cut the shrubs the way that I wanted them trimmed. Mattias Landscape did a very good job of pruning the plants properly and the way that I wanted it done. They did a very nice job mulching the many large shrub beds. Also, they cleaned up the plant clippings and mulch from the lawn, walkways, driveway and all other areas, leaving the property looking beautiful. I look forward to having them do additional work on the property in the coming months.

Job well done! We had sod and topsoil put down in my backyard at a fair price and he communicated in a timely fashion and delivered. I was even unhappy with one of the edges of the new sod and he came back next morning to fix it to my liking no questions no problems! Great young guy that Im happy to support. Oh and he even mowed my front lawn on the way out! Keep up the good work Matt! Ill be calling you for my next needed landscape service.

Matthias Landscape did a great job at our house. They put down about 10 yard of mulch, weeded, move heavy item out of the way for us. I thought they were professional and competent. I would recommended them to anyone

The landscape around the house we purchased had been neglected for a couple of months. Matt designed a plan for a major revision of the area. He encouraged our feedback on his design and accomodated our requests, explaining why an idea might be good or bad. He suggested what plants to use, nurseries we should visit to get ideas, how we should care for the plants, and so on. His price was fair, but he would still suggest alternative ideas if we wanted to reduce the costs. Matt and his team transplanted a couple of large existing shrubs and planted all of the new shrubs. When we asked to re-align some of the shrubs, he was quick to make the change. We are still filling in some areas on our own, but Matt freely offered advice as to what we might consider doing in those areas. The team also laid sod in the front yard and it looks terrific! Matt and his team worked quickly and efficiently, always cleaning up our property as well as the street in front when they finished working. Matt continually invited our feedback throughout the process, encouraging our input. Well be contacting Matt again for future landscaping needs!

Matt (the owner of Mattia s) was a pleasure to work with. He was prompt, reasonable and exceeded expectations. I hired him to power wash my house and I couldn t believe how good everything looked when he was done. Professional and replies promptly. Provided his quote quickly after initial visit. Came exactly when he said he would. Placed top soil and sod and we couldnt be happier with how it came out. The sod is growing nicely and is healthy. This is about 2 weeks after install. It looks great! Highly recommend.

I contacted Matt in the middle of the summer and told him I needed my whole yard landscaped in 3 weeks time he was amazing and help me out and was very fair and professional would highly recommend him

I have nothing but great things to say about Matt (the owner) and his crew. They are: - Responsive: My calls/emails are answered same or next day - Reliable/Punctual: They show up when (day/time) they say they will and finish what they said they would get done. - Professional/Polite: Matt and his guys are always friendly and pleasant to deal with -Meticulous: Weeding my flowerbeds by hand, avoiding damaging any of my flowers -Accommodating: When the guy who used to cut my lawn had to retire mid-season, Matt found a way to fit me into his schedule and take over my lawn maintenance. When the forecast showed rain for half of the week, and I wanted a tree planted before a weekend party, Matt found a way again. -Great at what they do: I am very particular/detailed-oriented person; Matt and his crew met or surpassed all of my expectations. A part of me would like to keep Mattias landscaping a secret for the fear that everyone will find out how great they are and they wont have time for me anymore. However, besides knowing that Matt would never let that happen, they deserve the credit and recognition that should come along with great service/work.

After reading all the great reviews about Mattia s, I decided to give a call. From Matt s first phone conversation to the work provided, I knew I made the right decision. Matt listened to my concerns, offered his professional opinion, and together we came up with a game plan. My gardens are now completely cleaned and look amazing again. Count me in as a big fan. Ive struggled with landscaping companies over the past few year (poor quality, ripping up the grass with heavy equipment and inconsistent appointments). Matt is very contentious, timely and responsive. Communication and Work Quality has been top notch. Highly recommend these guys.

Matt came to help us in very difficult conditions. We were unable to use our driiveway, to leave the house, as we were plowed in by a wall of snow from snow plows and a driveway that froze into solid ice by rain and rapid freezing overnight temperatures, Matt came, .had the knowledge and experience to use his truck and plow blade. As our driveway is a hill, he had to change from backing uphill and push, to driving up and drag down to get enough traction to systematically do a great job to remove all the snow and ice. He then finished up with applying ice melt. I recommend him highly and he will have repeat business with me in the future,

I had Matt and his crew over to trim some monstrous hedges around my property, do some weeding, and lay down some mulch. He was a pleasure to deal with. Thanks Matt for saving me from one of my most hated yard job. Ive never used Matt before, but saw him at a neighbors house so walked over. He came right over, looked over my yard and gave me a very fair price. He told me it would be probably the next week, but he called a couple of days early confirm that he would be at my home the next day. He came as promised and took care of our leaf filled yard efficiently. His crew even took care to clean up the street to ensure that the leaves from my yard didnt remain in the street. When my wife went outside, she commented on how meticulous our lawn looked and wanted to make sure that I had Matts business card. Mattias did a fantastic job on the fall cleanup of my property. Very professional and had good equipment. They went right to work on arrival and worked fast. I was impressed with their considerations of safety with their trucks having to be in the road. Properly put up cones and were concerned with traffic direction - I live on a busy street.
