This place is the worst place to shop, owner is very rude, and not nice for customers. He thinks he s the god. even I heard he was yelling on workers, also not professional. Who can work with this kind of boss?!? Unhappy from everything!!!! I was looking for two Pines and he was pushing me to go through the purchase process quickly, and I want to take time to choose right trees for my front yard. People don t go there.

This business does not care about our childrens safety. They use their commercial vehicles in a residential area. The owner Jim is useless to talk to. Do not frequent this business.

Purchased Fire wood which was great quality and the delivery guy did a great job delivering, stacking and cleaning up. A touch of green is a touch of class.

Very professional did a great job planting 10 arborvitae nigra price is much better and trees are much larger than berry landscape will use only touch of green in future (price was only 2/3rds of berry landscape) also I canceled berry because I couldnt be home they disregarded my wishes and came anyway and put the trees where they wanted and I had no recourse . Touch of green came when they said even after I had to reschedule and gives a 1 yr warranty no warranty with berry

We were so impressed with the entire project led by Greg Stevens for our new patio and landscape design. The patio crew did an excellent job on the installation - we could not be more pleased! The landscape crew finished the job to our complete satisfaction. We highly recommend this business to anyone who is planning a project.

I buy my firewood from here every year...they do not disappoint! I can call in the morning and it will be at my house in a few hours! Very friendly staff...the same guy has been delivering the firewood for many years!

I was shopping around for a firewood delivery and contacted A Touch of Green Landscaping. Their prices were very reasonable, staff very professional and knowledgeable, and delivery was completed within a couple days. They stacked the wood perfectly and the wood burns very well. I couldnt be happier! They will have my business every year!

We have been a satisfied customer for many years. Jim Lahey & his staff are very proactive and excellent at what they do. We just had the crew at our house yesterday for spring cleanup and the guys did an awesome job! The foreman even cleaned up our snow crab tree that needed pruning around the base. That was above and beyond what was expected, but very appreciated! We re very happy with this company time and time again.

We spent a lot of money last year with Touch of Green (TOG) re-doing our back yard and putting in an outdoor kitchen, waterfall, extensive patios, extensive landscaping. lighting, irrigation and even a couple of Palm Trees (yes TOG provided live Palm trees here in Chicago). My wife and I could not be happier with the quality of the crew as people, the quality of their workmanship, the quality of the plants and the warranty TOG provides with their product. It all starts at the top, the owner Jim Lahey is a true landscape architect, he attends to details and is highly creative and he cares about his clients, his product and his reputation. The folks who put in our pool recommended him for these very reasons. I did not write the review when all of this was done as I wanted to see how TOG did a year later when we used them to clean everything up and get our yard ready for the summer. This was done last week and we are extremely pleased AGAIN with TOG. They provided us great value for the investment we made in an area my wife and I, our kids and grandkids love and enjoy.

We have used Touch of Green for 17 years and they never disappoint. After finishing a re-do in our backyard Jim was the first call we made! The pavers, stones and lighting are all perfect. Kathy in the garden center is awesome, she helped design our landscaping and took the time to show us all the plants and gave us several options. Not only was she great but the crew that came to install the landscaping was great too, they took there time and cleaned up everything. Great experience, will definitely use them again!!

A Touch of Green just completed landscaping and hardscaping work on my home. WOW!!! My house looks so much better after the work that they completed. The paver patio and walkway as well as all of the landscaping is just beautiful. Jim and Meaghan were great with communication and updates on our project. From start to finish including the design process everything was a great experience. The crews that were out to the house completing the work were also great. They were courteous and clean and did a great job. I would highly recommend A Touch of Green for quality landscaping work.

I cant say enough fantastic things about my experience with Jimmy Navratil and Touch of Green, He worked within our budget, created 3D images of our ideas, and most impressively he started and finished on time and was in constant contact with me throughout. Im typically underwhelmed when it comes to these types of services, but Touch of Green really blew me away. The other thing I really appreciated was Jimmy wasnt afraid to give me his ideas without being pushy. He listened to what I wanted, but partnered with me to come up with the best solutions within my budget. I couldnt recommend them enough.

My husband and I were extremely happy to have hired A Touch of Green, James Navratil and his crew on our paver patio expansion project. The landscaping/stone building team was made up of Al and two other crew members who were also very nice and willing to do the job right. They worked with us and fit us into the schedule that would work best for us. From start to finish, James made it his priority to accommodate us (the customer) and make sure that we were happy. Thank you for a fantastic customer service experience and the great job!

We had an architect come out on April 15th. We contacted the company multiple times for our design proposal. Every time we got the same response... The architect is not in today, but Ill email him to send you your design proposal. On June 7th we finally just canceled because we still hadnt received our design proposal or a call or email explaining the delay.

We couldnt be happier with the work of A Touch of Green crew. They did a fantastic job completely transforming the front of our house. Its been a few months and it still makes us smile every time we look at it. Sometimes we catch ourselves looking outside just to appreciate the beauty. Not only do they do great work, they were fast, efficient, on time, on budget, honest, and have integrity. When it is time to upgrade our backyard, we plan to work with them again.

Went on Sunday to purchase a Christmas tree.... then I saw they had fresh holly and I also bought a face chord of wood... The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. My tree was tied to the roof and I was able to loosen it when I got home without any troubles. I paid the extra to have the face chord of wood delivered and stacked at my home. It came today and they did a beautiful job! Thanks so much!

I came to A Touch Of Green Landscaping during Christmas to get some firewood and a christmas tree. Their staff are extremely friendly . The price on the Christmas tree vs quality was good. Youll find plenty more unique items here for your garden, especially during the warmer months.

They have great staff. Kathy was very friendly and knowledgable and ultimately her knowledge lead me to buying a great set of flowers for my garden among other speciality items for my yard. The prices are not bad and the items you cant find anywhere else.

Poor customer service

These guys offer speciality items that you wont find at your home depot. I bought a few unique plants and hedges for my yard and they are fantastic. Kathy is super friendly and the rest of the staff are very patient and knowledgable. I highly recommend this place but it does come at a higher price.

What I liked about my experience with this company is the items and customer service. I found so many unique plants and gardening stuff that I wouldnt find anywhere else. It does come at a higher price though, but it is well worth it.

Most of employees are very good, except this old lady whom was very rude and had an attitude, simply because I was trying to return an item. Oh yeah bring a spray mosquitos are a nightmare.

They did a nice job on my garden. They were very detail oriented and also valued my input, which was nice. They spent a lot of time with me deciding exactly what we were going to do. I immediately felt that they understood my goal.

We recently had A Touch of Green re-landscape our back yard, and we couldnt be happier with the results! Just like the website explained, they talked with us to get an idea of what we wanted, and our budget. Then came up with a plan and an estimate. The crew showed up on the arranged date and completed the job in the estimated time frame. It was a much more pleasant experience than the hardscape remodel we had done 3 years ago. We wish we had found A Touch of Green sooner!

If a problem arises, expect phone calls to go unanswered from A Touch of Green Landscaping. The secretary is the owners best advocate no wonder she keeps her job in the front office. Once I had an appointment with the owner and when I called the office to confirm the appointment, the secretary called back informing that Jim, the owner, is not coming to my home. Not to mention, this took place on the day of the expected appointment prompted by my phone call which I scheduled a month ago. The secretary explained that her replacement made the appointment while she was out on vacation. So in other words, the owner is reachable but not if she makes the appointment. When I asked to relay the problem of the sloping walkway to the owner, built by A Touch of Green, I did not hear back from this business.

I had A Touch Of Green Landscaping install a fire pit in my backyard. They have many nice designs and I was very pleased with the service received. Today the family is enjoying the fire pit and it has become a way for us to all sit down and bond together. Thank you so much A Touch Of Green.

Since Im not able to edit my review from a year ago, Im writing a new one. Even though it took longer than we wouldve liked it, all our issues were taken care of, and Jim was very helpful. After the contact with the owner, the replacement of the trees and other plants went smoothly and now our front and side yards look wonderful!

We had A Touch of Green do some backyard work for us a summer ago. They did a great job on the fire pit and has been frequently used ever since. The design quality is top notch and the price is worth it!

Great place. They have a wide variety of things for you to choose from for your backyard design. Their prices are a bit steep but the quality warrants the price. My only issue was that when I entered the place there were few workers and none of them offered me assistance. I had to find assistance myself.

Youll find bulk pricing for pavers, mulch and stone not to mention everything you could ever want for your patio or deck. I love the customer service here. It is very nice here and they have a wide variety of flowers o display. The stones used for some of the designs is beautiful and this is my favorite place to go to for landscaping work.

They have a wide variety of exotic items for your backyard. Great looking place and the price, while high, is worth it. Its hard to find some of the things they offer and you cant find them at a home depot. ATOG installed a nice firepit and today it is being enjoyed on a regular basis by me and my family.

I purchased sidewalk tiles for my front yard and got a good deal on it. A Touch of Green Landscaping has speciality items that you wont find anywhere else. The staff are very friendly and will greet you with a smile. Kathy was very friendly and was able to answer all my questions regarding their products and business. This was my first time coming here, but it wont be the last. Highly Recommended.

I honestly dont know where to begin with these guys... but I cant imagine feeling happier I called A Touch Of Green Landscaping after another company we had used to install a back deck quickly moved on to another job and left us looking for someone to handle new fencing and gates. It was a tough job - not only do we have a tiered backyard and lots of area to cover, but our rehearsal dinner / bridal shower were also quickly approaching (in less than a month) and we were planning to host both at home. A Touch Of Green Landscaping sent someone to the house within days - the quote was much more competitive than the other two we received - and they said they would do everything possible to work within our timeline. The job started within the next week and seriously - what an amazing crew. These guys showed up by 8am every day and get this - they WORKED SEVEN DAYS A WEEK, even over the 4th of July - to get it done for us. Heres what we had done: all new fencing around the side and back of house, new concrete footings, fence staining/sealing, 4 gates, fence facade to cover block walls, new drip system for back planter, and a weed guard/pebbling over a back storage area. The crew cleaned up after themselves every single night, they helped with a number of really important decisions, and they worked so well with us, even when there were a few minor changes I wanted to have made. I couldnt be happier. Amazing customer service, incredible craftsmanship, fantastic value!!!!!

Its that time of year again. We are getting closer to the end of the year and Christmas is on its way. I needed a Christmas Tree and I found A Touch Of Green through an ad I found online. Funny, because I seldom find places I like that way I drove up to this place and was absolutely astonished with the amazing Christmas trees they had. These trees were genuine Christmas Trees and they had a great deal going on for this month so I had to buy one for my family. The staff were all friendly and they helped me load the Christmas Tree onto my husbands truck. It looks amazing in my house now , thank you so much for bringing that Christmas Spirit to my home!

I just recently purchased one of the lovely Christmas Trees from A Touch of Green Landscaping and I am very happy with it. The tree is of great quality and it really brightens my home just in time for the holidays. The price is just right and the staff is extremely friendly.
