Guys who aerated the lawn left the back gate open and my two dogs got out. Spent a half hour running around the neighborhood in the middle of a work day. Mentioned this twice to a customer service representative who could not have cared less. They also call you way too often once agreeing to work with them once.

Weed Man provides wonderful customer service and takes great pride in their excellent products! Hands down the best locally owned lawn care business around!

Customer service is unprofessional, and didnt know the meaning of cancelling and not wanting service anymore. then tried to play it out as im a bad customer for cancelling. On top of that i got very tired of being called about additional services. The workers who did the weed service were good.

Weed Man has always done a good job with my yard. Yesterday, while one tech applied fertilizer, the second tech picked up twigs and branches, and piled them at the edge of the road. This was unexpected, and deeply appreciated as I just had surgery 10 days before on my broken arm, and have been unable to do this myself. Thank you!

My experience with Weed Man has been great. They have been able to rejuvenate my lawn after another company had damaged it. Recently, when I notified them that their aeration process had damaged a pop-up emitter on my lawn, they gave me a credit in the amount of more than double the replacement cost. More recently, when I didnt meet the deadline to get a prepay discount for the coming year, they worked with me so that I could still receive a discount, which is above and beyond my expectations. This company borderlines harassment with the number of calls I got from them last year. I told them no, I dont need lawn care service, and they need to stop calling me. They asked me who takes care of my lawn, and I said my husband does. Then they had the audacity to ask to talk to him instead of me. I hung up and blocked their number. Apparently they got a new number though, because theyre back and have called me twice in the last 3 days now. Blocked again. I honestly considered them when I first looked into their service, but with the rude and excessive calls, I will never give them my business.

My neighbor used their service and they spread their product all over our driveway and as far as past our house. Huge mess. I called and left a message. My husband called and someone answered and a guy came right out and used a leaf blower to remove it. Still found some in my flower beds, hopefully it doesnt kill my perennials. They said it was a slow release weed killer.

You have people going around ringing doorbells ignoring no soliciting signs. Lying and saying they aren t selling anything and providing free quote . What do you think a quote is for? To sell you something. Aggressive sales tactic and downright rude to ignore no soliciting sign.

Other companies will do 4 cross checks we man wont and the month of August will be very hot.

They dropped something on the hood of my hummer but swear up and down they didnt do it when I confronted them they didnt know wat happened to my hummer but knew the exact address where my hummer was at...Coincidence naw but they refuse to pay for it I had debri all over the hood of my hummer

Treated my lawn twice within 24 hours and billed for both, never again. They said one treatment was for weeds and the next day was the fertilizer. NOBODY does that.

Challenged with a neglected lawn a few years back, Weedman has restored my lawn to a lush green. I am pleased with the service.

I would give a 3.5 if I could. My house/yard is new construction with seed & hay on top. I had way more weeds in the back than the front. The first application did a fantastic job on the weeds in the back, killed them off withing a couple of days. Then I started noticing that after every subsequent application, I would have different types of weeds popping up. I had aeration and seeding dome last month. I noticed that the aeration did not fully cover my yard. I have patchy spots and the aeration did not touch some of them at all. They drove their little vehicle so fast that a through job was not done. I will have to wait until next spring too see how good a bob was actually done. Ive canceled future services for now, I will have to see if I will be using them again.

Weve been customers of Weed Man for several years now. The improvement in the appearance of our lawn is remarkable. Since weve been getting regular applications by Weed Man, there are virtually no weeds in our lawn and the grass is definitely looking very healthy and vibrant. Its just a huge improvement from the way our lawn used to be. We recommend Weed Man whole heartedly. Five stars!

Tired of the continuous calls and hangups when I ask to be removed from the list every time! Ive blocked more numbers from these people than I care to count.

I have asked this company to stop calling me for 6 years and they still call every year around this time.

They will always say that your yard is 5000 sq ft but in reality thats almost doubled my yard size. They only applied it one time and only on my front yard and they are now claiming that I had service in June of 2019 when I didnt even reside at my address until September of 2019. They keep calling me about the service. Do not use them as they are taking advantage of people that sign up for services. They also said I had grubs and applied a grub treatment with out my knowledge and are trying to charge me for a service I never requested. I do not want a reply to this post as I consider it a complete waste of my iq to read the response.

I am enjoying my beautiful lush green weed free lawn. It fills me with pride when I walk outside and see it. We have had there service for 2+ years and the lawn looks great. I even get compliments by my neighbors and my Sisters on how nice it looks. I will post before and after photos of my actual lawn. Thank you weedman.

Rating is only for the disrespectful door to door sales every spring, despite clear signs! (read the signs!)

They wont return our calls and Ive called to cancel the service multiple times. I called before the 2020 lawn care season to cancel and they still showed up. Now they wont even return our calls so that we can pay the bill. Im willing to pay the bill, but I want to cancel my service. They use very predetory sales techneques saying you arent committing to anything and they will send you information, but in reality if you agree to the information, youve signed up for the service and they will consider you a customer. This is what happened to us, so we decided to try them out for one season. The service was fine, but nothing extremely special and depending on the area, it may be a couple bucks more expensive than your local lawn care services. Id be willing to change my review if they would just call us back, but it doesn seem like that will happen given their prior history.

First and foremost, it is helpful as a consumer to understand that Weed Man ONLY provides fertilization services. If your lawn is in need of overseeding or aeration to generate new growth, you will have to be referred to another company, who may or may not ever actually reach out. Perhaps it is my fault for assuming this was a comprehensive lawn care company that would develop a customized treatment plan for my lawns needs - however I do not feel this is accurately advertised or marketed by their door to door salesmen. Furthermore, after my concerns were expressed after a full year of treatments and lack of desired results, I requested to have services placed on hold while I awaited this referral to the other company. Despite the hold on my account, I still had technicians sent out twice. I did receive the reminder call the day before each of these services and returned the call both times, leaving a voicemail explaining that I did not want treatment. Regardless, the techs still showed up, and I had to directly ask them to leave my house due to unwanted services, despite a desire to avoid face to face contact during the COVID pandemic. Secondly, one of the days that I was charged for treatments were inaccurate, and the tech had actually gone to the wrong house and treated my neighbors lawn. Upon addressing this with management, I was questioned, and a technician had to be sent out to inspect my lawn to ensure there were not beads present in my lawn. Only after this was confirmed was a re-treatment scheduled. Sure, mistakes happen - but wouldnt you think the techs should be confirming they are at the correct address? Finally, dealing with Marnie in management has been a nightmare. While trying to come to a solution to ultimately give us the lawn we desire, she was belittling and condescending. She told me that it wasnt her fault that as homeowners we were not capable of seeding and raking our own lawns, and that wasnt her problem. When I explained that I had expected her techs to monitor our lawns progress and expected them to prescribe or recommend a different treatment option after the initial plan was clearly not working, her response was that they dont do that at Weed Man. Bottom line, if you want a cookie cutter, one-size fits all treatment approach to your lawn, you may be lucky and have their products work for you. However, do not expect the technicians to actually evaluate or propose a customized plan based on your lawns needs. And, heaven forbid you are dissatisfied with your service, you will not find understanding or compromise from management. Overall, I would prefer to take my business elsewhere.

They are on budget, on time and client friendly.

I have used Weed Man for 2 years now - Excellent Company! Before I called Weed Man, my front yard was being overrun by clover, dandelions & some thorny pain in the a** ground weed. My backyard was 50% dandelion, more clover and a bunch of weeds the groundhog and rabbits love. I use the fertilizer, weed control & aeration. 2 years later I have ZERO weeds and my grass is rich, full and green! And, the groundhog, rabbits and squirrels are still running around. Weed Man is an outstanding company to do business with, very professional employees and office personnel. Scheduled weed control for the summer. Their product did absolutely nothing to kill off the weeds and they stopped about 20 feet short of the property line. (I cancelled all future applications) Im back to using Spectracide weed control for lawns from Menards...works great, just need a longer hose.

They show up and provide their services prior to a verbal agreement or agreed upon schedule despite me telling them that I needed to discuss with my wife and prefer to speak with them before they show (I only stated that I was interested). I asked to keep in touch and never spoke to a representative again they just showed up and completed their service without hesitation. Then demand that we pay them for a service that they completed with no verbal agreement. The customer representative told me that I was wasting time and he needed to deal with his other customers and was very rude. He even threatened to take me to collections prior to allowing to speak with his manager. I was polite throughout the entire conversation. At one point they told me they get calls from customers all the time that did not agree to any service and try to get it for free, that statement alone tells me that Im not the only dealing with their manipulation. To top it off the product didnt work last year and suspect it will not work again this year. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

This company is beyond terrible. If they give you a quote they wont honor it they will just come out and do it then try and charge you double and then play off like they never quoted you that amount. They also wont show up to look at a property they will just show up do it when youre not there and then bill you. If this company Weed Man ever wants to do any type of service for you DO NOT DO IT!. Read their reviews on here and Google theyre terrible because they provide terrible service, cheat and lie.

Im highly impressed with the customer service I have recieved from the very polite door knocker, the awesome salesperson Joe, and I even had the pleasure of chatting with the fantastic manager Noah. Im really looking forward to the summer and even more so now that Ill have a beautiful lawn from a company that really seems to have passion about their product. Weed man consistently called us non stop, 5 times in 2 days. Absolutely ridiculous and a great way to lose customers. When I spoke to someone at the company over the phone, he told me that their sales tactic is to keep calling the customer until they answer the phone. They will leave voice message over and over. He said they will stop calling once the customer returns their call or answers the phone, and provides them either a yes or no on service. However I told him no, to their service and to stop calling me. They still continue to call me and wont take me off their no call list.

I have never experienced such a rude company with such invasive marketing tactics. I told the girl who came to my house to not call me and Id call them if I needed anything but they called me everyday anyway. But what was really crazy is when I called them back to ask them to stop calling me the guy on the phone got an attitude with me and hung up on me. Umm Sir I just asked you to stop calling me and let me call when I need you. If you didnt have an attitude about that simple request I might have actually called you when I needed you. But NOW there is no way Id ever use you!!! And Im telling as many people as I can about it. Little tip for you. If you work half as hard on customer service as you do on calling you will have higher conversion rate...just a thought!!!

This is my second year going through this company and my yard has never looked so good. Less moles, no Weeds, better grass, they even killed poison ivy for me last summer. And the customer service representatives are very helpful and nice I talked to Manuel Torres and he helped me understand my services more so Im thankful for that. The guys who have came over to yeart the yard have also been very nice and respectful. I definitely recommend this company.

Pretty tired of their door to door soliciting during evenings every spring. I cant think of any other organizations who ignore our large No soliciting signage. Not sure why the weed man thinks it doesnt apply to him. At any rate itd be great if they read this and stopped dropping kids into neighborhoods to bother folks with lawn care flyers.

The door to door salesman was polite but unwanted, then the first phone call I received was pleasant and after going over pricing I told her that I was not interested in signing up for anything that day and would want to talk it over first. I never got back in touch because Im not interested but they took that as business consent and not long after I come home to a sign in my yard and a bill in my mailbox. I wrote back to them then came home to another bill today. I called them since reading comprehension since to be difficult and after a very unprofessional phone call with the same exact woman I should now be debt free and my weeds have never looked better. Dont do business with these vultures.

I hired my first lawn care provider, Weed Man, last year. I got a quote and even added Mole Guard and grub control. I contacted them for re-treating, which they did. I had more weeds and more moles than ever. I contacted them to receive some credit back and all of the folks I talked to didn t matter as they continue to call me demanding payment. Their last email was, sorry but you received the service so you need to pay. Way to stand behind your services and products. Even one of their own techs commented in writing that there were weeds etc. Don t use a service that won t credit you for a legit complaint. Plenty of other companies that my friends have used. Don t use them...

This is the first company I have engaged to take care of my lawn. I ve had many offers through the mail and never got around to signing up for any. But when a young man who was courteous came to my door and offered services that my lawn needed I could not resist it. I now see improvements in my once neglected lawn. All my questions have been addressed by people who sound caring and knowledgeable . I would recommend Weed Man to any one who wants personable service!

I am very pleased with the Weedman personnel and service. This is my second year attempting to return my lawn to grass versus weeds. I am seeing very positive results - far less weeds, healthier grass. My lawn mower is getting a workout! I have never had grass! Always weeds! It is sooooo nice to see lush grass! Rather than weeds! AND an added bonus.....my basement has leaked for years!!!! It didnt this summer! Even when we had downpours! Obviously the aeration redirected the water to absorb into the ground and not to run off the top of the lawn into the basement. Workers were focused and did a very good job. I would recommend WEED MAN .... Particularly because of the awards for more environmentally safe products....and for the quality of the work. Thank you.

We had a few issues that were promptly and professionally addressed. Ownership has an investment in good customer service and really made sure we felt taken care of. The office staff was happy to help as well. My husband has always done everything for our lawn but an injury early in the season put him out of commission. The services allow my husband to heal while our lawn was maintained from a fertilizer and weed control standpoint. Above everything, we appreciate the local business approach/care. Years ago our family had a Weed Man representative stop at our door and offer a free quote for their fertilizer services; weve been customers ever since ( and by far have the best looking lawn in the neighborhood ). I eventually got in touch with the sales manager at the time to see if they had any job openings, they did, and I became a door knocker myself! It was a great high school gig and I ended up falling in love with the company, and the product. Ive worked at Weed Man for the last four years now and continue to enjoy every minute of it and am excited to see the growth in our city of Lansing and beyond.

Beware - if you use them one year they assume you want them the next year, even if you havent pre-paid or responded to their renewal request letters. They will call the night before and leave a message that they will be at your home the next day. Then they show up and leave an invoice. They probably have some fine print somewhere that states you are a customer for life unless you cancel. Very shady in my opinion. I wont use them because of their assumptions.

I hired weed man to come and get rid of the weeds that we had in on our premises. I think that they must have misunderstood me because our weeds thrived better than ever. I was told that because the weeds were in rock beds and in areas with other bushes that I would need a different service. I let them know to sign me up for that application, and after that I have never heard from anyone again. I made sure though to keep their sign in my lawn to show my neighbors the terrible job that they did. Eventually, I had to go out there and take care of this myself. If I would have known that they were not going to do the job I hired them to do, I would have made time in the spring, before everything got out of control. Next year, I will make sure that I hire a company that actually will follow through.

We were Weed Man customers in the Traverse City area prior to moving to the Lansing area. We had great service in TC and that same great service continues.
