I just had Pura Vida Tropical Gardens redo a major portion of my landscaping. This is the 5th time I ve worked with them. Juan and his crew are wonderful guys very professional. They did a great job (again). I ll always use them and I recommend them to anyone wanting to beautify their home.

I recently did a complete remodel on my home and property.it turned out to be fantastic and I wanted a landscape to match. My brother had worked with Pura Vidal and was very happy. Juan designed a landscape that turned my beautiful new house and pool area into a tropical paradise. Juan is trustworthy and the members of his crew are very hard workers. I made a special request for a completion date and Pura Vida met it. I look forward to working with them again.

We had more than 50% of our plants and 2 trees die. Reached out to them numerous times. They said the would come out and take care of the issue but they never did. We spent 10k with this company and it didn t even last a year. The worst communication experience ever with a company. Extremely unsatisfied and would never recommend this company to anyone. Don t say this is irrelevant. If you responded to your customers like you do to a bad review we wouldn t be having this conversation. I tried for over year to get issues resolved and got the same results. Nothing.

Juan and his crew are amazing, professional and very trustworthy. I had my entire yard torn apart and refurbished by this wonderful company a year ago or so. I was going to be out of town at the time on an RV trip so I paid in advance which is a scary thing to do these days. Upon my return our yard was bursting with beauty. Way beyond what I had expected. I receive calls periodically asking if anything is needed and how their plants are doing. Such a great service. Up until our last hurricane I ve really not needed help as my plants are easy to care for. However, when they called this time I was desperately in need of some help. Three of their guys were at my home that very day they called. I couldn t have been happier with the service I received. If looking for the best you found them. Thank you so much and I will be calling soon for rocks and a couple trees. Oh, and by the way, anything you ask for you will be told I got you and it s so true. It s as though they can see your vision as they really listen to what you re saying. They re the best! Teresa Levine

Working with Pura Vida and Juan was effortless. My property looks like a resort in the Caribbean! This was a tremendous investment. but so worthwhile.

5 stars for sure! It is always refreshing to see folks that know how to under promise and over deliver! Juans crew has our back yard looking better than ever - we had lost nearly all of our trees from the hurricanes. After seeing their trucks improve homes up and down beachside we called Pura Vida to make a plan to replenish privacy trees along our yard. In the process another hurricane arrived and when it left, not only had they improved us to looking better than ever, they hauled off a ton of debris that had been sitting in our front yard since Milton that was never part of the work to which he agreed. Like everyone elses in town, it had been out front of our home for weeks and he knew tomorrow was our daughters birthday and his team hauled it away saving me 3 trips to the dump! He runs his small business in a manner similar to how I do mine; he said he would be fair and give me the best deal possible if we paid a majority up front and we did and i have zero regrets. Normally you would not do that nowadays but there are still a select few solidly owned and operated businesses in this area and Pura Vida is one of them!

I would like to highly recommend Pura Vida Tropical Gardens for your residential landscaping needs. I give them a 5/5. The landscaping looks phenomenal. It completes the look to our house that we were seeking; full, lush, tropical and rich, with that inviting feel that matches the house completely. We receive constant complements from our guests and neighbors. My wife and I purchased our dream retirement house beachside in New Smyrna Beach last spring. We did some renovations including painting the outside. The house is a two story stucco but had no landscaping except some old palms and palm stumps which had been funkily painted into tikis. We had the stumps removed immediately. The lawn itself was strong but the whole feel was barren and uninviting. We drove all through NSB looking at houses with the landscaping we like. We came across two recently landscaped houses that fit the bill exactly, with that lush tropical feel that matched a classic beach stucco house feel. We contacted Juan, the owner of Pura Vida who promptly met with my wife and I to outline his vision for our house. With a laser pointed he outlined how he would totally remake the feel through landscaping. He worked with our budget and we came up with a contract that included foxtail and Christmas palms, along with the rich substrata, lights, shell, irrigation and coquina boulders for the borders for the entire property. His team arrived and were professional and quick. Unfortunately for us, the landscaping went in right before Hurricane Milton. We suffered quite a bit of cosmetic damage to the newly install landscaping, but Juan and his team honored their one year warranty on plants and 5 year warranty on lighting (the lights weren t affected) and promptly came to our home, trimmed back all of the damaged plants and replanted or infilled some additional material so that it looks great again. We would use Pura Vida again and have already recommended them to our close friends, who are equally ecstatic.

Juan and his crew at Pura Vida are exceptional. Juan came out after we had spoken with multiple other landscapers, he knew exactly what we wanted and advised us on additional design ideas to consider that were spot on. We paid in full upfront to get a discount because we were doing our front and backyard but we trusted Juan, never done that before and was a bit nervous. I am so happy we did. Pura Vida did an amazing job, even threw in extras because Juan thought they would make things pop more and he prides himself on doing the best. My wife and I can t recommend Pura Vida enough! Our yards look like a tropical paradise you find only at Caribbean resorts. Thank you Juan and the team!

Very professional , excellent and responsive, great results! Pura Vida was able to deliver what I had in mind and beyond. Irrigation, landscaping and professional lighting on point. I have them working on 2 properties so far and I m planning on keeping Pura Vida for all my outdoor jobs. Thanks for all your hard work!

The crew put in tremendous effort all day, and even pushed through a heavy downpour near the end to finish the landscaping project. Juan s landscape design perfectly captured our vision tropical and lush and the quality of the plants is outstanding. We ve had numerous neighbors stop by to admire and compliment the final result. I can t thank Juan of Pura Vida Topical Gardens enough for their incredible service during a recent emergency/Hurricane Milton. When the storm damaged/fell onto the fence I share with my neighbor. I called them, and they responded immediately, sending a team out within a few hours! Their crew was professional and efficient, quickly assessing the situation and safely repositioning the tree. They were able to stabilize tree and thankfully it did not have to be removed. The tree was caught up in the wires above and they were able to untangle the wires without any damage. I was so impressed by their quick response and quality of work. They truly went above and beyond to help me out during a stressful time. I highly recommend Pura Vida Tropical Gardens for any landscaping needs especially in emergencies!

Juan and his guys at Pura Vida did a fantastic job designing our landscaping and implementing that design. Weve had multiple neighbors comment on how great it looks and asked for their information. Just as important, after all the hurricane damage we had this week to our plants and shrubs, one quick call to Juan and his guys were over there the next day to repair, stake trees, and clean up. Highly recommend!

Juan and his crew gave us the tropical oasis we were looking for. Juan did an amazing job incorporating our existing foliage with new tropical plants along with slate, bark, coquina rocks and lighting for a finished look we love and enjoy.

My husband and I were by an errand when we saw the most beautiful landscape ever. We are not customers yet and are excited and planning on contacting them real soon.

Juan and his guys are very knowledgeable on what plants are needed in shade areas or full sun. Most of the plants that Juan has in stock are not found at your local Nursery and are a very tropical blend which in turn gives his customers a island look and feel.

Once he installs the plants hes promised, the result will look beautiful, but beware. First of all, I paid him 50% in advance ($10K+) and he never came back for six months -- until I finally threatened to call authorities, at which point he offered a couple of different excuses for why he couldnt complete the work in a timely fashion. Once the work was finally done, it was so pretty that I forgave all that stress and gave him a great review based on the appearance of the final result. Ive now removed that review and Im submitting this one instead. The giant invasive plants he installed, though beautiful, are now shooting huge roots under my foundation and into my pool. Three other experts have now told me this is a very bad situation. So, Ill have to pay a lot more money to have the beautiful, giant, invasive plants pulled out. Find someone with real plant expertise before you pay him $20K, wait for him to show up six or eight months later, and then let him jeopardize your homes structural integrity.

Juan had the vision, the experience and the crew to install a landscape that is breathtaking. My back yard now has purpose and my property value must be higher. Also, the price was the price. None of this bate and switch like you get from some others. I want to publicly thank Juan and his crew for doing such a professional job!

Pura Vida Tropical Gardens does unique and amazing work. Juan and his crew are extremely pleasant to work with. The prices are very competitive and Juan installed more plants at no extra charge to make sure our job came out AMAZING. I highly recommended them.

We had horrific seawall and oceanside landscape destruction after hurricanes Ian and Nicole. After over a year and trying to have a lot of patience our seawalls were finally rebuilt. For over two months I had two landscapers that kept saying they were going to give me a bid and never did. I kept having to bug each of them multiple times. Finally got frustrated and asked my contractor that we used years ago for a recommendation and he told me about Juan and Pura Vida tropical gardens. I called and spoke to Juan and he was very nice and said he could do the job. He started, I believe, less than a week later and his awesome crews rocked the whole thing out in four days time. The fellas that work for him are very kind and he was super to work with. Juan is very responsive and the work they did is mind blowing to me because of the large coquina they used and how fast they got it done. It looks really great. Were very happy! I wholeheartedly recommend this company!!!

If you are looking for the best of the best when it comes to landscaping you need to go with Pura Vida. Juan and his team are artists and can transform any property with their work. Juan and Pura Vida are the only landscapers I use for my properties and I couldn t recommend them enough.

We had to pay $$ to get the person come over to check our back yard, and give us the quote, he never got back to us.

Juan and his crew are super nice guys. They landscaped our entire yard. Most was complete before we moved into the home. We rehired them to finish off our side yard and add more to complete the rest. The end result was amazing! We won yard of the month for Ponce Inlet. He/they are really busy. So expect to WAIT!!! If he says 2 months it could take longer!! We knew Juan was not ripping us off because of all the prior work he d done, but it took months to complete. Also, he is not the best communicator. What with crew getting sick, busy with other jobs, unable to get materials we waited. I could of given him a 3 star or 4 star, but because of finished product had to give 5 star.

Amazing! They designed and built an awesome koi pond and waterfalls for my fish and turtles! Every day I get a compliment and the kids and staff love it! What a great job and they can build whatever you can dream of! Thanks for an awesome koi pond!

I highly recommend Pura Vida Tropical Gardens. Juan Hernandez is gifted in Landscaping. He is very knowledgeable of plants, the quality of them, and the artistic look. He said he has the vision of how it would look good but listened to our opinion as well. Now our neighbors give complements saying Your garden looks beautiful and It looks like a tropical resort. Vehicles slow down or even stop to look at our front yard now. Well Juan, You made my front yard dream into reality. Even the lights added a nice touch. Thank you very much. The wait was all worth it.
