Very sad that James the owner of this company wants to meet in a public place, when it is as simple as mailing the deposit refund that was promised by his wife and himself. Our BBB complaint went unanswered that was filed, please feel free to look it up. In my opinion this company is prone to ripping the consumers off. Never, in my opinion should you leave a deposit up front until the job has started and then confirming the details of what the consumer expects. Lesson learned on our end, please don t let this company take advantage of your family. Read Deborah s review as well, don t let them take advantage of you especially at this time.. I think that Brenda wanted to have the job completed as promised. James reply is typical of any complaint against his business, blame the client, instead of taking ownership, to satisfy clients. James just doesn t get it . James, fulfill to your clients, on your promises and contracts. Pretty simple business model. I still question the 4.9 goggle reviews how many friends and family have posted? Morris Tree Service is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau, which could indicate a pattern of customer complaints not adequately addressed. Please read the owner replies to complaints, accusing clients of drinking, for not returning deposits, never the owners issue always a client being at fault. Not a good business model James!!

Rip off alert!!! James Morris the owner came to our house to look at a tree I needed out... he priced that tree and 4 others for over $13,000. I told him no just the one tree and made a $500 deposit on my debit card per his wifes request. That was almost a year ago now after we made a date to remove tree... James Morse No-Showed and I called for a refund. Emailed the same and nothing but crickets! Refund my money for the job you still have not done!!! You have not earned it nor deserve it!!! My wife and I have been ripped off by Morris tree service!!! After seeing the trash talk with his reply... does anyone really want to hire this guy? I am retired ... pay me the $500 deposit back or my only recourse is to report you to the police and file a suit. Either way I will get our money back from you! Your choice... you can refund right back to the same card that I paid with James. BTW my son said he wasnt interested in your intervention or business. You can have him! But to try and slander me and flat out lie, will get you nowhere. I have everything documented and will prove youre a liar and a thief! This is what you get for stealing! BTW... this is the first time to hear from you on this matter in almost a year! I didnt cancel, you no showed!!! Dont STEAL and keep your word when you promise people... itll save you the embarrassment!

Great crew @ Morris tree service. They came and did an awesome job removing and cleaning up a nuisance tree that was picked apart by Helene and Milton. A1 service and communication.

I m happy this 3 man crew came right in the window they said they would and did exactly what needed to be done. Cleaned up everything quickly and they were gone. Even trimmed up two of my palms sitting under the tree they trimmed for no charge. Also they worked with me on waiting a bit for payment because I work nights. I will absolutely call Anthony again if I need tree work. Thanks.

After hurricane Milton I called Morris tree service and they came out within a couple of days to give me an estimate on an uprooted tree. The men came out today with a stump grinder and did a great job. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Outstanding service at a reasonable price. They were pretty busy after Hurricane Milton, but found the time to schedule me in to cut several high large broken tree branches that were dangling over my pool cage. Crew was great and efficient in eliminating this hazard.

I had to have my pecan tree cut back due to overhanging branches on my roof. I contacted Morris Tree Service and they promptly responded and within 2 weeks my tree was cut, other bushes and branches were removed and I had a spick and span yard. The crew was courteous, efficient and friendly and the pricing was very reasonable. This is the second time I used Morris Tree Service and I can only highly recommend their services.

Anthony came out to see our property & gave our estimate he was just great. Very personable, knowledgeable & courteous. He text when he was on his way & was quick to reply when I had a question. Getting on the schedule was great. From estimate to day of job I think it was a 2 week window which was fantastic. Tyler & Ryan were 2 of the group of guys who came the morning of and they were all very friendly and truly exceptional at their craft. The way these guys all worked was just incredible. Watching them get the crane in place and they secure the tree with the chains before cutting and the pieces being carried through the air to get cut smaller, etc was just mind blowing. Literally they got to our house at 8am and were done by lunch I cannot begin to tell you how impressed I was. The stump removal/grinding went smooth too. Their awesome equipment fit through our gate and they ground all the stumps and it was 1-2-3 done. So cool they had the grinder that worked by remote control too it was freaking sweet! We ve had other tree companies out before over three years and NONE of them were as efficient as these guys. Knowledgeable. Great communication. Fair pricing. The efficiency . They hit every mark. I ve already told my MIL and other friends & family about them we will be using only Morris Tree Service in the future, very happy with how our project turned out! Cannot recommend them enough.

While this company did an excellent job of taking down the trees, nothing else promised to me was delivered. He put up a fence, and laid stone in the yard. His men are top notch, however areas we discussed and were promised he did not complete and changed the story each time we discussed it. When I told Mr. Morris the issues, he scraped at me and hung up on me. As I stated, his workers are top notch, he is not an honest person. Id be more than happy to provide pics. At the end of the day it is what it is, use him for trees but thats it. Also, left trash behind, again my wall, extra fence that I have to dispose of. Again, Anthony, Vern, Tylor and the other guys were professional and courteous.

Ryan, Tyler & Chris helped us out today, they all were very helpful and easy to communicate with and super efficient. I appreciate how friendly they were and how they cleaned up all the tree trimmings after. Ryan did a walk through with us afterwards to make sure we were happy before they left. I decided to hire Morris Tree Service based on reviews and they are local. I was not disappointed. The tree in question was over two stories high and creating a problem with water lines, sidewalk and in the near future foundation problems due to roots. I loved that tree but knew it had to come down. When I called for an estimate, the gentleman quickly came out, assessed the job and provided the estimate. I did not have to call and call. Once permits cleared the crew came out and in short time the tree was down and cut to feed into a shredder. They ground down the stump, removed as much of the roots as possible and cleaned up the property. I also had them plant two Queen Palms and they took the time to make sure they were equally spaced not just dig a hole, put tree in then back fill. I would hire them again.

Job seemed reasonably priced, no problems getting scheduled in a timely manner. Crew showed on time the day that was scheduled. Please know if you have stump grinding and expect the waste to be hauled you need to bring that up before the stump grinding. Only delay was waiting for clearance from 211 for the stump removal. Also, double check that they have your correct contact information.

Had Morris tree service out to cut back two acres worth of over growth and take down several old trees. Crew arrived on time, went ABOVE AND BEYOND and I don t mean that just because they climbed our trees . They stopped a few times during the service to make sure they were giving us everything we needed and more. They kept the property so clean, the crew lead was hand picking the smallest debris piles just to ensure they left no annoyance for us! Beyond that they spoke so highly of the owner and what he does for them, how much they enjoy what they do, they were humble, kind, thankful and very friendly to us. It felt like a bunch of family members was out here helping us, not a bunch of strangers. Thankful to have had them out here this weekend!

We have an extremely large, and old, oak at the corner of our home and 4 large limbs were scarily hanging over one corner. Storm season is coming, and we knew we had to have them removed. I contacted Morris Tree Service and James came to assess and provided a written estimate on the spot!! The work was completed yesterday, and hubby and I are thrilled!! Not only to have them gone but, weve found a tree service that we will use again, and one we recommend! Anthony and crew showed up to do the work but first, Anthony introduced himself and explained what they planned to do, ensuring I understood and was also in agreement, but also ensuring me they won t damage the yard in the process because of the heavy equipment needed to do the job. He was spot on as there is very little sign they were here, except the tree looks much healthier as they cleaned it up a bit too!! I cannot tell you how relieved we are that we have reduced the risk of our home being significantly damaged by those huge tree limbs and ensuring the longevity of our roof from the simple reduction of leaves/branches rubbing on it. The guys showed up early for a 3 hour job & apologized for being early. I didn t mind as that left me the afternoon free. They removed a ligustrum tree that had become overgrown for the area that it was in. It was cut level to the ground so I can set a large pot there. (I didn t want the stump ground out as the water line comes into the house in this area & I didn t want to create a new problem.) Center trimmed the large oak tree in the middle of the front yard, and trimmed back a few limbs away from our roof from neighbor s tree, so now we re ready for hurricane season. Pleased with the job, the politeness of the crew, the mess created was removed so that the yard looked better than before they arrived, and the tree knowledge of the representative that came out first. I ve used Morris Tree Service before and will use them again.

I had a quote from the sales rep and agreed on a price and job work. Remove maple tree, trim crepe myrtles, and light trim 4 palms. I had specifically told the rep that the crepe myrtles were to be trimmed, NOT hacked back to the Crepe murder stage, the palms were NOT to be hurricane cut. They were just to be trimmed of the dead fronds and the seed pods removed without taking fronds off. He ASSURED me this could be done. When I returned, I found the crepe myrtles hacked, the palm trees were left with about 3 fronds each (from 11 to 1). They look terrible and will take months to look decent. Needless to say, whatever you tell them to do, they will do what they want. I would not recommend. When I spoke with the office, she told me he would contact me. I have not heard from the owner.

James and his team, arrived on time and took down a monster of a tree, I watched with amazement at how safe efficient and fast these guys worked. Great job!

I contacted Morris Tree Service to remove a small oak on the easement due to it beginning to damage the sidewalk. I had picked them since they d obtain an arborist report and would perform the service for it to be cut, removed, grind the stump. When Dan came to provide the initial quote, he said they d also remove the mulch from the grinding as well as put some soil and sod on top to complete it. This was important to me. I wasn t using a company that didn t do it start to finish. My goal was start to finish with a single company. They were about 20% more than the other companies I considered but I wanted quality work to be done and was willing to pay more for it. The service that was actually performed was great. They completed the removal and grinding the stump but they never showed proof of an arborist report and didn t remove the mulch, lay soil, and sod. The crew explained that they don t drop sod so I looked at my quote again and he was right. There was nothing outlining the items that weren t complete. I was told, by Dan at the time he came out for a quote, that the job would be 1.5 hours but crew was in and out in 45 minutes. So, I take ownership for not seeing that on the quote. So, I was over promised and results were under delivered. I spent an additional 3 hours digging up the mulch myself, bagging it, and then another 2 hours to go to Lowe s and back for supplies and put soil and sod down myself. That 20% more I paid ended up being for even less work than others were to provide. I ve got postpartum health problems, including carpal tunnel in both hands. I m dealing with treatment t for that and a newborn so hiring a company to do it all and then not get it completed was dissatisfying as a consumer, not to mention my hands were a problem for days after that shoveling and additional work. I m giving 4 stars because the job that WAS done was great. I d still recommend Morris Tree Service and I d consider using them again if and when the quote outlines what was requested.

Morris Tree Service did a great job! They came in a timely manner for both the estimate and the work. They removed a large limb in the backyard that was encroaching on another tree, trimmed the ligustrum in our front yard down several feet, and shaped it nicely. They also did a great job cleaning up- I didn t have to pick up a twig!

Morris Tree service was quick to respond to my request for an estimate to cut back limbs and branches on several trees that were hanging over my pool screen. The crew came out later that same day and worked very hard to get the job done right with a worker climbing up on the limbs of the tree and securing the branches before cutting them off and carefully lowering them to the ground. It was done very professionally and the debris was quickly put into the chipper by their truck and the yard cleaned up before they left. They even send a picture of the crew guy letting me know his name & that he was on his way. I was astonished by how fast & great their work was. From the moment they got there until they left. Super professional! They all matched, wore hard hats & other gear when I first saw them. Any time they came to talk to me every last one of the crew guys were very polite & had great mannerism. I ran to the store to grab a couple things & when I got back I was attempting to bring them in multiple crew members came & brought my groceries in for me. I was shocked!! I came home to find two arborist talking to my neighbor about getting the tree limbs off of the secondary power lines to their house. I, too asked for an estimate to get the limbs off of the power lines to my house, as well as an estimate to elevate my other trees, clear out the center of one, and remove a dead cracked branch in a cedar tree. In my opinion, the estimate was exceptionally reasonable and I hired them. When they finished the job up the street, they came down. There was a large crew of them and each one was wonderful, respectful, kind, and took care of business with smiles. I will hire them again in the future, Very pleased and impressed.

Had them come out and remove debree and remove underbrush charge me 2000 dollars and I still have to go dig out palmettos bushes and rake and clean up debree talked to Dan after they came out and did the work and he said they would come out and take care off what I need done they came out twice for 5 min first time pick upa culpable off branches and came out 2 time and got ride off 3 off the palmettos but left 4 there and still a mess for me to clean up nice people but not happy whith what they left for me to deal whith for as much as they charged

Morris Tree service was available by phone on a Saturday. They returned my message in 15 minutes. Quoted a reasonable price for the work and scheduled someone to come evaluate. They backed up their price and showed up on the scheduled time on time with a call in advance to confirm their arrival time. They showed up with a fleet and were done with the job in 15 minutes.
