Not happy with the work I paid thousands for. I entrusted them with a large landscaping project, and after a full season it’s become very apparent they have an absolutely no idea how to select plants and ensure they get arranged with common sense. The landscaping was planted backwards and now I have tall plants in the front of my garden blocking everything else. …yes, you have done work for me, I’m not confused. You should actually follow up with your crew’s work and clients, instead of just showing up for the quote and responding to social media reviews.
Dave - wanted you to know that we are very happy with the work done by your company. Your workers are the best- quick, thorough, and neat. Very hard working guys. Everything met or beat our expectations- great design, beautiful plants and quality work started and finished as promised. Working with you and your team has been a pleasure.
I wish there was an option for great quality! My wife and I have used Zimmerman Landscaping for about 6-7 years, mostly small odds and ends and spring cleanups. This time we finally pulled the trigger and had a major project done. We had an old concrete patio ripped out and replaced/expanded with pavers, ton of shrubbery taken out, some trees taken down, koi pond revamped, and a fire pit built into the pavers. Dave is always a pleasure to deal with, and his guys are clearly on top of their game. We already know we’re using Zimmerman Landscaping for our landscaping needs when we get our pool put in this coming spring. We highly recommend Dave and Zimmerman Landscaping!!
Zimmerman Landscaping is the most reliable, responsive and customer service driven landscaping companies within Somerset county. I use them for weekly lawn cutting service, and the lawn is always kept pristine. Their staff is professional and hardworking. I’ve also had terrific hardscaping stone work projects completed on time and executed perfectly. The team did an amazing job on my walkway, shed base and pool landscaping. David is always responsive and available quickly whenever an urgent need arrives. Zimmerman resolved a drainage issue in a single visit; after 2 engineering firms struggled. Zimmerman is fairly priced and competitive for all projects and their work is impecable. I highly recommend them, as they’ve always delivered on their design and execution commitments. I would highly recommend Zimmerman Landscaping for all your landscaping needs. Dave's estimate was very reasonable to remove some old trees and plant a row of privacy evergreens as well as mulch and weed all landscaping beds. They also installed stone to accent parts of the front landscaping beds. Dave kept us well informed as to when his crew would arrive to start the job. The professional crew worked very hard and stayed late on a very hot day to make sure the job was finished on time.
Needed to take a moment to thank Dave Zimmerman and say what a wonderful job he and his crew did on our patio. It looks tremendous, exactly how we envisioned it and the back wall that was suggested adds a nice texture and function. Dave’s crew was fabulous in keeping things neat and clean each day and the final touches around the patio look great. I would recommend Zimmerman landscaping for all their services!
We have been using Zimmerman landscaping since we moved to Hillsborough 3.5 years ago. Not only, does he do wonderful work with mowing and lawn maintenance, but we had drainage issues that were quickly and seamlessly fixed by Zimmerman landscaping. Dave has also helped us improve the curb appeal of our home by adding nice touches such as stone, and beautiful plants. He is great at coming up with ideas to help us achieve a beautiful front and back yard! Our yard was also extremely slanted and he helped us level it in order to have a play set safely put in for our daughter. In the winter Dave plows and shovels our drive and walkways. I highly recommend this company for all your landscaping needs!
I chose Zimmerman Landscaping for my new walkway and front porch, and I’m so happy I did! Dave, the owner, suggested different ideas to solve the issues around my house, and his designs were amazing. He is truly an expert in his craft. The crew showed up everyday as promised, were friendly and professional, and worked quickly and efficiently. The finished work is absolutely beautiful! Absentee owner - comes to your house to do the quote and doesn t come back to inspect the work. We had to watch the work crew throughout the course of the construction because things kept diverting from the initial agreement, and quality issues with the work.
We have been working with Dave and his team for years and wouldnt trust anyone else! They are professional and on time and they always do a wonderful job! He responds quickly, has helped us with short term requests, and we are so appreciative! Highly recommend!!
Had my first lawn service last night. As a new customer to lawn services, i was impressed with the team leader, he was very friendly and cordial. We walked around my property and he answered all of my questions. Usually the first cut of the season is ugly because the grass is real thick and clumpy. Dave and his team did an amazing job! Thank goodness we found them! Backstory: We had our backyard completely landscaped last year by another company, which included patio steps, new patio, retaining wall and fire pit. The work was poorly done and not up to code. The patio was sinking in several areas, stones didn t match, and the steps came completely apart. We were not able to use the steps for 8 months. Just awful! Fortunately, we found Dave and his team! They had to repair everything including redoing all of the stone work, retaining walls and the steps. They also put up our pergola, put in all trees and the plants around the backyard and the front yard. Dave was on site overseeing the project the entire time. His team completed the job quickly, mostly due to being on site for a few weeks, Monday- Saturday (7:30am-8pm). Dave is so easy to work with, a true visionary, and all of his recommendations are within reason. He really helped us during a very difficult time. He s our guy! We will always use him, and we highly recommend him for your next project!
Dave and his crew have completed several projects (deck, patio, landscaping, etc) on our property all with great results. The crew is polite and friendly. Dave has good vision and is very reasonably priced, we re looking to use him again on our next project.

Zimmerman landscaping completely redesigned my entire front yard. This involved moving huge amounts of earth, installing new planting beds, installing a new walkway, Fixing a bunch of drainage issues, and many other things. It took three days, but it was worth it! It looks terrific and has held up well.

I highly recommend Dave Zimmerman for all of your landscaping needs! His team is extremely hard-working, reliable, and professional. I am very pleased with the work that he has done in transforming both my front and back yards! I never imagined that my small back yard space could appear so much larger with creative designs, beautiful stepping stones, expanded patio, and a lovely corner garden area with a wooden bench under my large pine tree for a cozy shaded area, which is more like a serene retreat! He helped make my yard (much) more dog-friendly and my two golden retrievers are enjoying exploring their new area. If I could give 10 stars, I gladly would!
