After a very poor experience with an other lawn care company, Anthony greeted me with a smile. He was professional and very kind. He answered all of my questions and concerns. He explained what I needed to do after he seeded so that the grass would take root for the Spring. I am very pleased with TruGreen and Anthony in particular. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We're disappointed in TruGreen Lawn Care service this year. We've been customers for about 10 years and have had the occasional issue from time to time. It's always been resolved, but it takes extra effort for us to get it resolved. This year has been different. We've had about 4 of our services done at our neighbors house down the street! Our street address is clearly marked in 3 places. On our mailbox, the curb, and above our front door. Additionally, the riding aeration machine used in our backyard needs to smaller due to our gates so a handheld machine is used for that area. TruGreen has known this for years and one would think it's noted on our account. Nope, they came to aerate the front and then left. So we inconvenienced ourselves again to call TruGreen to explain and reschedule the backyard. The wait time on these companies can be quite lengthy, increasing frustration for a job paid for but not done properly. We were told that the rep would come back for the back yard with the handheld aeration machine. Today they sure did, but they went to the wrong house. We got an email notification that the service was complete. We were working from home so, no, no service at our residence. Once again we called TruGreen. This is getting old. Seems like their attention to detail isn't what it used to be. Maybe time to find a smaller business that pays more attention to their customer. I certainly wouldn't recommend them anymore based on my experience.
Young man took time to spray along sidewalks and driveway where some weeds had popped up. For as dry as it is the yard looks good!
TruGreen consistently has great customer service and reasonable pricing. The technician who came out today Brendan went beyond just spraying my lawn for weeds. I have a couple of cracks in my driveway and have been struggling to control weeds growing in the cracks. While spraying the lawn with an herbicide he also went ahead and treated the cracks in the driveway. This level of customer service is very appreciated. This is my first year as a TruGreen customer but if this level of service continues they will have me as a customer for many more years
Jeffery was thorough. He took time to explain everything he was going to do and to tell me the names of some weeds I couldn’t identify. Edwin U, the service technician came by today and did a special application to my lawn. We did a walk around, and he answered my questions and concerns. Since TruGreen doesn’t have local customer service anymore it has been difficult to reach a person. We have lawn mowed on Wed. Several time I had to call and remind TruGreen not to apply weed/ pest control on day before our mowing was done. Unfortunately even thought they assured me they would not do applications they would come on the wrong day. I would call TruGreen again and this was always a frustrating process as off course the menu had changed. The Service reps that came out were all very Good! Professional and polite. They were not made aware of my request. Apparently a miss/lack of communication between customer service.and actual service rep.

Wow! Nevaeha did a fantastic job with my tree & shrub service today. She was very professional, friendly, and courteous. She was very thorough in treating my trees/shrubs and she definitely made sure it was done properly. I really appreciate that attention to detail. She is a great tech who I know cares for the customer, but also makes sure TruGreen is seen as positive in the customers eyes. Overall, the past couple of years have been a challenge for many businesses (including TruGreen) to attract and retain good techs. Ive seen several come and go for both my lawn & tree/shrub treatments. Definitely not the consistent returning faces each time like it was several years ago. But again understand the challenges with staffing, and very appreciative when seeing someone like Nevaeha. Techs like this definitely help with my decision to continue using TruGreen services. Nevaeha is a keeper! Ive had mixed experiences with TruGreen staff and treatments over several years of service and its great when an excellent tech performs my services properly. My primary concerns with TruGreen are with staffing as some just dont do their job appropriately. Due to difficulty attracting and retaining staff (all companies experiencing) it has been especially difficult to have consistent staff who know my property well and perform appropriate treatments. Its hard finding good responsible workers these days, so when you have someone such as Nevaeha on your team, she deserves a big pat on the back! Also, the TruGreen scheduling system has been a challenge to deal with from both a customer and employee standpoint. Ive seen some improvements this year, but still hoping for more. The biggest problem is with a planned schedule often disappearing or sliding back multiple weeks with no notice. Also, there is an excellent capability of day of treatment schedule notification/tracking, but for some reason this can be very erratic and not very helpful at times. The latter may be a training improvement for techs using the system. Overall Ive been pleased with TruGreens results. I just wish I could consistently count on quality staff and treatments with a little less follow-up on my part (not only with the actual treatments, but also making sure the scheduling works as it should). I can trust certain techs, but not all. Ive given a high rating today as the results have been good and I want to show appreciation for Nevaehas fantastic efforts today. But overall, Id like to see more consistency with the staff assigned to my account (not someone different each time) so they are aware of any problems with my lawn/trees and can better treat appropriately. [Would be great to have Nevaeha again!] And of course, fix the scheduling system - when planned treatment schedules disappear and become several weeks past due when they should have been performed (requiring a call from me), that is of minimum benefit to my lawn/trees.

It rained too soon after application to decrease the mosquito population. I called and they were out within a couple days so I am able to enjoy being outside again.

Doesnt complete entire yard applications when they come to your home. They think because customers arent home they can slack off and do bare minimum work. They are completely done with my yard in 5 mins of service. Which I find impossible. I cancelled and I will never return. .
Everything was done as except, I have discussed twice now about all the weeds being sprayed and only a few have been done, I am not very happy.
My lawn looks great! I live in a rural area and my green lawn with no weeds really is noticeable to all. My lawn technician, Daryl, does a thorough job and is knowledgeable about the product he uses.
They do no get the whole yard area the sides of my house is apart of the property as well, and it never gets treated see it ignored on my camera every time I call in and nothing is every done came back to Tru green to give them another shot but think Im going to cancel for good
Why does TruGreen have their personnel park the truck in the street and literally unload their equipment in the lawn of the neighbor? In our grass? Why not pull the equipment into the driveway of the house where you are working? We hate seeing TruGreen trucks in our neighborhood for this reason.
TruGreen has wonderful service and appear on property when they said they will (weather permitting). They are thorough and care a great deal about the job they do for me. Ive have used them for a number of years and Ill be using them again next year.

One of my neighbors review: Heads up to all TrueGreen customers in the area we ve been using them about a year now . Every month we have to call because they are not doing our whole yard. We are paying for several of their services and applications and they are not doing what they are paid to do. Finally got them on video only doing a small portion of our back yard and confronted the service tech about it. First he lied and said , yes ,I did your whole yard . Then I held up my phone and very calmly said, would you like to see the video I have of you not doing the whole yard? He then said , well let me go check the yard so he walks back to my back yard comes back out and says , he will redo it. I went back inside only to watch him pull the hose to my back fence and sprayed weed killer all over my big lilac bush and then sprays my peonies. And quickly reals his equipment up and left .. his next house was my Next-door neighbor who is 97 yrs old and he did the same thing at her house . We called and placed a complaint to the company and they sent someone today to redo our yard and he did the same thing. I walked out and asked ,did he not see the notes or the details of what he was supposed to do ?and he said, I did it all( rudely )I calmly explained what he didn t do and he proceeded to become very rude putting his hand up at my face and said ,he wasn t going back there and doing it and then I told him to get off my property! He refused to leave and he began calling names and leaning on our vehicles and telling me I wasn t going to tell him what to do and refusing to leave after many times being to told get off my property. We ve contacted the TrueGreen who has apologized and says ,it was unacceptable, but yet we have call every month because of the same issues and they don t seem to fix the problem. We ve paid thousands over the fall spring and summer for their services and only once did the service get completed by a tech that we didn t have to call to place a complaint. Today was way beyond that ! I can t imagine and elderly person having to deal with the guy that was at our home today. It was bad enough I was ready to call the police to get him to leave. Beware people, if you aren t home and watching ,your probably aren t getting the service you are paying for and confronting them will be a disaster they hire thugs. I get it , nobody wants to work these days, but this place has horrible employees. Buyer beware
Love Tru Green they do a great job with my yearly plan, lawn, shrubs and any concern I might have. Appreciate being notified by txt when they will be out and the txt on day of service that they are on their way. Very reasonable cost wise. One less thing I have to do as i get older. Great team
Been with this company for several years and never had an issue until this year. The lawn tech never treated my entire yard and when I would call to address my concerns about this, they said they would send someone out to reapply and they wouldn t. I also asked for the tech Aiden to not come to my house anymore and see if they could send someone else out. They said they would but they sent him out again I called to cancel And they promised me they would do better so I gave them one more chance and they sent the same tech out. So I went with another company had them do their first application the fall application and call Trugreen to cancel for good and of course they tried to get me to stay with them and I told him I was done. My lawn has never looked so horrible. It went from a green lush lawn to full of weeds crabgrass it s embarrassing will never ever return.

Text messages are sent out before staff shows up at my house. They also leave a detailed report of the service performed that given day. My lawn looks great.
Trugreen has been treating our lawn for 27 years. Theyve always left a receipt saying what theyve done. Not once this year. Our yard is full of weeds. Im so done! Do not try to contact them because youll be on the phone forever and then theyll hang up on you. Last year they billed me for a double application with no notice. Theyre charging us $75 an application.

I was interested in using this company for lawn care but after I provided them my information to contact me at a later date, I received no fewer than five calls within the an hour an a half. I asked to be contacted at a later date because it was after 7pm on a weeknight and I was getting my daughter ready for bed. Now, I wont be using this company.
I canceled my service before it even started. The customer service was not good and when I called back questioning if the service that I paid for was legit (as I never received an email stating that I signed up for the service), it seemed as though I was a bother to the representative. My asking questions was due to the fact that I just paid $600 for annual services, sorry to bother you with my curiosity..

This company is a joke not one time has anyone knocked on my door to say hey I m here. Even after I have requested to be notified when they are here I have 2 big dogs that are always in my backyard that are territorial. I have cameras in my back yard tht record and I m also home all day they have never came to my backyard to spray. Or asked for access to my backyard it s a waste of money. And to talk to a supervisor is nearly impossible because of Covid they cannot transfer calls. Don t use this company
I have had to call twice this summer for re-service because the technician either didn t complete the application at all, or only did a partial application. On both occasions the tech marked the application as completed and I was billed for the FULL amount of a regular application. If I hadn t been home to see it with my own eyes and then call in to get it corrected, I would have been completely ripped off. I no longer trust this company to do what I m paying them for. Also, when calling customer service, the typical hold time is 30-45 min. Ridiculous. Then I get a foreign rep who doesn t really understand me or my problem.
This is in reference to the Hilliard Ohio office I have just canceled this service . for the 5th time this year they have sprayed my neighbors yard. not my yard. I have repeatedly called the office and get the national level who takes all my information down.. they assure me this will be fixed and will take this to the next level to make sure this never happens again hahaha. I have described my house to the operator so notes can be added.. I have signs posted that this is my house. Ive given them colors of my house.. my house has a sign on it with my name on it.. but yet they continue to perform services on my neighbors yard. I do not understand this ..this is not recent this has happened within the last 1 and a 1/2 years. Ive had this service now for 3 years. they have planted some kind of alien grass in my yard after the last fertilizer application . I now have dinner plate size patches all over my yard.. They have promised to fix this by giving me grass seed and I can kill those spots myself and fix my own lawn .. but yet their service is the one that did this to my lawn ..I dont know what to tell you folks they cannot seem to get it together.. Do not use the Hilliard Ohio office I dont know what else to say so sad that a business is being run this way and you cant talk to anybody on the local level they dont even publish their number where you can even call them you get the national good luck
I live in Hilliard and had 4 applications. The employees would spend a max of 2 minutes at my house and only spray a small portion of the front yard and leave. I know this because I set up cameras. TruGreen in this area is a waste of your money and they will not refund for services but will offer to re - evaluate the lawn. My lawn looks the same if not worse simply because they arent doing their job. I wasted almost $400.00 for them to do literally nothing. Dont waste your money and find a different company.
Terrible business I let them go. They never give you a call to tell you they are coming or that they are running late. Good price but terrible customer service.

The WORST when it comes to customer service. You never speak to anyone local no matter what number you call and they promise to call back or have a manager review your request within 24 hours but never do. Very unprofessional, will not be renewing my contract.
I originally was quoted several lawn fertilization s, aeration, and overseeding. The first application was completed - I was over charged a substantial amount had to call and get corrected and was told at that time the next treatment would be in 4 weeks and the aeration would be completed before September 15. On September 21 I had not heard a word about the aeration or the second treatment so I called again. This time the lady tells me that the aeration and overseeding will be completed by Jeremy on Friday the 25th and the fertilization would be done next Tuesday. On the 24th I get a call stating that Jeremy will be out to for the aeration and overseeding on the 25th between 11 - 4, so that s good finally they are going to do something they said....nope at 3:55 no one has showed up - so I call again and this time the lady says he is still scheduled to be there and is working till 7 so he will still be out. Guess what still a no show no call. I call this morning the 26th to find out what happened and a rude lady says I don t show you on the schedule at all nor a reschedule. So when can it be done - I don t know is the response, clearly they have enough customers and don t care.
They have harassed me and my wife for 2 weeks. Multiple, almost insulting, calls from different callers. And they continue to call after repeatedly telling them to remove us from their call list. Ill never use or recommend them again.

The lawn shows significant improvement after wrongly being be application and the lawn analysis summary was clear and complete. My only complaint is I used the app to try to communicate with an agent regarding the next scheduled appt date and no one ever got back to me.
So far after 3 treatments our lawn is looking much better. Me and my hubby had no idea how to control the crab grass that had overtaken our lawn. We tried to DIY last year and made a mess of it. Best decision to call the pros.

They are a scam. I paid in full for fertilizer and weed control for the season and the first service went well. The second service I was skeptical if any product was even applied so for the third service I made sure my security cameras were on while I was away at work. The tech showed up placed the flag in the yard and hung the door hanger on my front door and left. A few minutes later i was notified that the service was complete. After looking at the camera footage he never even stepped into my yard. I called to cancel my service and get my money back. BUYER BEWARE. Terrible company. I am also not the first one this has happened to. Read the reviews.

Poor poor service! Killed my shrubs, weeds and weeds still in my yard! I have had them for two years so I gave them a fair chance. The straw that broken the camels back is the billing error that charge my account 6 times more than what I should have been charged and they are taking the sweet old time fixing it. This rating is for my experience on the phone with this company as I did not proceed with services because of this. My lawn is a mess I bought my home late in August last year and I decided to seek professional help this spring to see what can be done. I called TruGreen as they are as I understand the old chem lawn that existed when I was young and had always done my family s lawns. I m grown up and have my first yard so naturally I go back to the company that served us well in the past. I fill out an online survey and revive a call 60 seconds later. I described my problems and the man on phone described a plan to solve my problems it was of course all sold in high commitment package deals and he basically wanted to sell me a package period. I explained I like the plan but before I agree to service I need to call a few places first to just see what s out there but that I would most likely go with this company. He replied that I will find cheaper but that they are the best company period and I will get what I pay for, fair enough I requested he call me back later In the evening. I receive a call later and it s a new representative and it was all down hill from there. I spoke with the new representative and described what the other man had told me and he was immediately confused and was not sure I could even have some service performed such as lawn aeration at this time. He quickly tried to figure out what the other representative was trying to sell me and quickly realized he was selling a more expensive plan and all of sudden that service was now available. We talked about pest control as well and he started quoting me for those service as well and my quote for these services quickly got out of hand and at one point he had me quoted for over 1200$ in services. At this point I was annoyed as I previously understood an expert would come out and survey my problems and would come up with a detailed plan from there. It was now apparent that he was not concerned with anything but signing me up for a package and getting my credit card. When the subject of payment came up there were two options presented pay all at once for a substantial discount or do the easy pay monthly reoccurring charge. First of all you most be crazy to think I m going to pay for the years service for a package that I m not even sure or you for that matter think I need. I explained that I m not comfortable with a monthly reoccurring charge either as I know how hard these are to stop if your not happy or do not want the services any more. I explained with most house services I pay for the service when rendered and it s usually a bill that I pay afterward and repeat visits will occur if I m happy with the service. He reluctantly explained that this is also an option but all of the good discounts they had did not allow this method of transaction. I explained that I feel a discount that is given only when your locked in with a prepared package or a monthly reoccurring fee is not really a discount if you don t end up needing all of the service being sold in it and it s really not a discount at all. I would not have a problem with this kind of discount if this company offered this after they came over to do the assessment of my lawn and applied the first treatment, but this company was ready to sell me anything and it did not seem to care if I actually needed it. By trying to sell me a plan payed in full without seeing my lawn is a joke and it s outrageous to seek a long term agreement with anybody without seeing how good of job they do. I was very disappointed in how this company wished to do business with me and they could be the best lawn company. The fact of the matter for me is that I don t business with people who are just trying to get me signed up and don t really care to take the time to assess what is needed before trying to sell me something. Your services should be worth what there worth and long term agreements with clients are earned through establishment of good services and should never be offered on first contact.
Today 8/30/18 was my first scheduled service. I paid for the TruMaintenance Plan and all I got was 5 minutes of a technician, Dontrelle E. s time. I have a video recording and email evidence showing he arrived at 12:07 pm and completed the job at 12:12pm. Completion of the job entailed getting out of his van and placing a stack in the yard, then going back to the van to grab a door hanger stating the job was completed. He didn t even once walk into the backyard. This is terrible service and I am already considering cancelling my plan. Future advise. If you are going to screw someone over at least make sure they don t have a camera with your face on it. POOR SERVICE!
I ve used TruGreen in the past and I ve always thought that they were adequate, though not great. This year, they over fertilized my lawn in the middle of over a month without rain and most of it died. It s now a patchy mess full of weeds that they ve serviced, but done nothing effective for. My neighbors don t use any lawn service and they re laughing at me because it s so bad. I tried calling and was promised a call back from our service guy, which has never happened. I won t be making the mistake of using a non local company again, because they just don t care.
After three years of service I finally dropped the yard portion as they never showed up and constantly had billing issues. I kept the tree and shrub feature and again, they constantly missed trees and I had to have them come back. Well a couple months back, they drenched two maples and a pine. The pine died and the two maples are still in severe recovery. I disputed paying for the service and they said they would have a manager come out. Guess what, he did not show. Again, I called and again they had a manager call me who wanted me to leave work early to meet and discuss. I showed up at 2:30, low and behold another no show. I come home today and I have a note that trugreen has sent me to collections. Well game on Tru green because now Im sending my attorney for you for tree damages and replacement of everything you killed. Ill spend money on principal alone at this point. Im tired of this companies pulling this kind of stuff and knowing those less fortunate will just pay.
True green as a whole uses crappy products and bad customer service and always tries to up sell products
Johnathan Glass is very friendly, professional and does an excellent job treating our lawn. We hope he will continue to take care of our property throughout the new season.
My grass is the greenest of green. They are working hard to kill a tough stran of dandellines. The grass is really a beautiful green and looks healthy and thick

Not a good first impression. Filled out info online to get an estimate for services and got 4 phone calls within 2 hours with no messages left. No caller ID was showing. When I called the number back to find out who it was, it was TruGreen, who proceeded to explain that they do not leave messages. Told them to take me off the call list...was told that it would take 1-2 weeks. So does that mean in the 13 hour telemarketing day I can now expect 26 calls per day, for 7-14 days? Very poor first impression. The lawn care may be ok, but the customer phone experience needs a lot of work to weed out the process.

Horrible sales reps. Filled out form to get pricing and sales rep called me. A lady called me and tried to hard sell me their service. When I told her I was waiting on a quote from another company she hung up on me. Im in utter shock. Super rude!
I have been a trugreen customer for 3 years until now, they have done well with my lawn. However the new staff has been extremely pushy with additional lawn services for my trees and shrubs at additional charges. This morning they came though and cut all of my flowers down and had the audacity to claim it was insect damage. These sleazy business tactics are absolutely ridiculous. As of right now I am no longer a customer and would advise anyone else in the area to steer clear.
Always hustling me for more services. How am I gonna pay my bills? I get paid commission. One salesperson told me. How about if you kept my lawn weed free? Thats all I want and you cant do that.
Ive had this company treating my lawn for 3+ years- Things started off great but over the years the service has gone down- Ive become tired of calling the office in order to get satisfaction- Weeds return and they dont seem to care- My recent aeration resulted in patches of my lawn being torn up- I would not recommend them-
Lawn care was fine, but be warned .. they will call you every other week trying to sell you additional services. If you cancel, theyll call every other month trying to get you to sign back up. They also will not stop calling until you threaten them with the BBB. I asked to be removed 5 times and they still called back, at which time I told them if they solicited me one more time I was going to report them to the BBB. This was 3 weeks ago, so Im still waiting to see if they call me yet again. Now Im writing a review because suddenly Im receiving text messages for mortgage readjustments. Not sure if they sold my phone number, but given their business practices, I wouldnt be surprised.
