Outside Dreams Landscaping Five stars for Amy and Outside Dreams Landscaping. Last fall, I asked ODL for a quote and proposal to xeriscape our front lawn. My interest was two-fold: to conserve water and I was so tired of trying to keep the lawn looking good. Amy is one of the owners of ODL, and I was pleased with her design. Her quote was the same as that of a second company, and her design offered much more for the money. ODL offers a 5% discount for work undertaken during their slower season; our project was done the week before Christmas. It took a 4-man crew 4 or 5 days to complete, including conversion of the sprinkler system to a drip system. Throughout the process and even after completion, Amy and her office staff were very responsive to my questions. Now that we are well into the growing season, the xeriscape looks terrific, visually interesting and attractive. The blooming plants have been colorful. AND the lawn is gone! ODL cheerfully replaced the two plants that didn t survive the winter (one year warranty). I made Amy aware of some minor damage to the irrigation system that became apparent when it was recharged in the spring. I didn t ask for compensation, although I thought it was caused by her crew. I just wanted her to be aware. She voluntarily reimbursed me the cost of the repair. This is a company that does good work and stands behind it. The first water bill this season came in at 40% lower than it was for the same period last year.

My experience with Outside Dreams was incredible! I worked with Brittany and Amy and they were so kind, helpful, and amazing. They helped me create the perfect design for landscaping my backyard, gave me multiple options, and promptly answered any questions I had. They are awesome! I recommend them to any one who needs any help with landscaping like I did! I can t thank them enough for all of their help!

Terrible work. In less than a year, our pavers were shifting and forming huge cracks, to which we were told to put more sand in them . We had a different company redo all the work, and 5 years later it s still perfect. So clearly Outside Dreams didn t do the proper prep work

We had a great experience when we first used Outside Dreams in 2022 for a front yard project. We were excited to work with them again this past spring, however, Im sorry to say that the integrity and professionalism of the owners of this business has completely dissolved. Theyve become just another company who misrepresents and underestimates the quote and then comes back asking for more money once work has begun. This happened to us twice over the course of our project. The first time, we were told that the fence posts we requested cost more than shed quoted and wed need to pay the difference. We were frustrated since shed come to our home to draw up the design and should have taken the existing posts into account when writing up her quote but agreed to pay the difference. Nearing the end of the work, Amy said wed need to come up with an additional 3k for sod install despite it being part of the discussed quote. Lastly, Brittany and Amy also forced us to pay the project in full before having the irrigation checked and then took several weeks to get someone out to do the check for us. We wont be using them again. **edited to respond to Amys reply. We left payment with the workers ahead of leaving on vacation per Brittanys request and prior to work completion but asked they wait to cash the check until we reviewed the completed work 2 days later. Not 2 weeks. At that time, we realized they were not intending to install sod. While I know with certainty I asked Amy to match our existing fence, a quality designer would have made the distinction between the fence we currently have and the cheaper option she quoted us on during the time of project walk through and been forthcoming in her fence description within the quote.

Everything started out positive in our engagement with Outside Dreams but turned into a nightmare by the end. We were over two months in when Amy (the owner) suddenly backed out of completing our $62K project (we d already paid 85%). You deserve to work with a landscaper who executes the agreed-upon design, completes the job, and operates with integrity - three things that Outside Dreams ultimately did not do for us. During the upfront design phase, we were drawn to Amy s collaborative and thoughtful approach. When the crew started onsite, we were pleased with how hardworking they were and really liked the project manager, Felix. The communication started out top notch. A few times during the first phase of work, we talked to Felix and Amy when the execution was veering from the agreed-upon design (e.g. the retaining wall was supposed to be 7 ft away from back fence and in many parts was 5-6 ft, the wrong filler rock color/size was installed, etc.). They course corrected where feasible. We were always understanding, flagged as quickly as possible to avoid rework, and often let it go without making them do rework. The first major frustration was two weeks into the installation when Felix mentioned that they wouldn t install the planned stepper path to the backyard since the grade was too steep. We were glad he raised his concern but were surprised since Amy had proposed this path and even warrantied that the steppers wouldn t move when we had brought up this concern ourselves more than once before committing to the project. This had been our #2 priority since the outset and why we chose the overall design. We didn t understand why this wasn t brought up prior let alone why Amy designed it. Amy didn t take accountability or appreciate what a setback that was for us and had an attitude of good thing you know now. As we had done with everything else, we let it go and had Amy return to review all the planting for the last phase of work scheduled for May. When we hadn t heard back from Amy for 2 weeks after our planting walkthrough, we checked in. We got a bizarre email back that said We have concerns about you being happy with the plantings based on expectations, so we wont be able to help you on this part. This was a complete shock since we had finished the previous phase of work over a month ago, had talked to Amy twice and had her over for a walkthrough since, and no concerns were ever expressed. We asked why we wouldn t be happy if healthy plants were planted per design and asked that they please finish this last phase of contracted work. It was important that one company did the full job (let alone not leave us hanging suddenly >2 months into engagement at 8 months pregnant). We then got an email from Brittany that said, Felix said he didnt appreciate the way he was spoken to at the end of the project, which is why we arent able to come back. This further made no sense since we had only ever had nice conversations with Felix and hadn t talked to him in over a month; 3+ days of work and plenty of back and forth had happened with the team since. We were offended at the accusation and couldn t figure out why they were out to antagonize otherwise amicable clients. They then rescinded on that explanation and changed the story again but still refused to finish the work. Apparently expecting them to execute the agreed-upon design is too high of a bar. We would never have worked with Outside Dreams or chosen the design that we did if we knew they were only going to do a part of the work, leaving us down significant time and money and in a situation where we will not have a consistent look and feel with the full project that we set out to do. Amy s true colors showed at the end, and we re still dumbfounded why they unnecessarily escalated the situation out of nowhere rather than simply finishing the job.

We are extremely happy with our front patio! Amy and her crew were excellent in from planning to implementation. Communication was clear across the board and we really appreciated the calendar where we could see how soon our project was going to start and how long it would last. This company is made up of absolute professionals from designer (Amy) to crew! We highly recommend Outside Dreams and this will be the first company we call for any other landscape projects.

We just moved into a new house. We looked at 2 landscaping companies to work on our backyard. The 1st company gave us a design based on what we were thinking about. After asking a lot of questions, Outside Dreams gave us a totally different design that surprised and delighted us. We selected them to do our landscaping and we are completely happy with the results! In addition to plantings, they made a raised bed. Because the side of our house slopes downward, they put in a retaining wall and altered the fence gate to work with the wall. The design was affordable and their crew did truly great work.

After we watched our neighbors large landscape renovation project with Outside Dreams, we decided to use them for our front walkway. They impressed us from the beginning to the end. Communication was excellent and the workers were right on time and worked hard. Little issues were quickly taken care of, which was appreciated. Overall, they did an excellent job.

They did an amazing job on my backyard project! They continually checked in throughout the process to keep me informed and made sure they were available for questions. They are professional, and their work is top-notch! One weekend, while they were working on the yard, I was trying to install drywall in my garage. One of the gentlemen saw me trying to hold up the drywall on my own and came over to assist, not once but twice! Two came over at one time to help. Not just professional but caring and kind. Its a testament to the crew. You might get someone who does a great job but compassionate, amazing humans...thats priceless!

Our first project involved reconfiguring our lawn, adding rocks, planting new shrubs, building a retaining wall, building and installing a planter box, and laying pavers for a new walkway and patio. We were so pleased with the end result that we hired the crew the following winter to do some additional hard scaping and to transplant some shrubs. Everyone on the staff is punctual, helpful, and professional. Outside Dreams is our go-to for all of our landscaping projects.

Highly recommend! Brittany designed a beautiful paver patio to replace my failing concrete. From start to finish, Michele and the team were in regular communication with me and made sure the process ran smoothly and answered any questions I had. Their installers did a wonderful job in a space that was difficult to access.

We cannot say enough good things about Amy and the Outside Dreams crew. Everything from communication to execution was top notch. Amy walked us through the design process and helped us make appropriate choices to stay in budget. Our complex project included a total tear out of trees and decking and we ended up with a beautiful two tier patio, new retaining wall and trees, flowers and bushes. All of this was completed on time, even with a lot of soggy, rainy days thrown in. The crew was always on time and the end of project clean up was beyond impressive. We couldnt be happier with the end result! Highly, highly recommend!

We just had another project completed from Amy/Felix and their teams. I would highly recommend them. They do business honestly,fairly and are flexible. They start and end work when they say they will, even coming back to polish something on time. They are punctual, always arriving at the same time and working long hours (they even seem to enjoy their work, which is important). They always clean up everyday after the work is completed and make sure everything is spotless when they finish, such as hosing down the dirt off the street. Finally, the work is quality and exactly what we envisioned. Both projects we had completed were back and front patios.

Outside dreams did a great job on our yard. Last summer they did a complete redesign and installation of a new front yard. The design was practical and beautiful. We get so many compliments. It didnt take more than a week or so and the results are fabulous! A few of the plants and a bit of grass didnt make it over the winter and they held true to their guarantee and replaced anything that didnt make it the first year. I could not be happier with their service.

Outside Dreams was incredible to work with. From the beginning with planning stages until the end and final adjustments. The team worked very hard. They showed up every day, on time. We were very impressed from the beginning until the end.

We had a vision for our backyard, but it was a challenge for other companies to really understand what we had in mind, not Outside Dreams, they understood from the git-go, made a plan, got the permissions needed and put it all together. Not only is the quality of work outstanding, but the communication and responsiveness was incredible. One thing I really noticed was how happy the laborers were I think they were actually having fun .shows that the company cares about their employees. I recently moved to the Denver area and purchased a home on 1/3 acre. The front and back yards were marked by mature trees and shrubs. However, most of the yard was filled with weeds which grew many feet high. I hired Outside Dreams, after interviewing many others, because they proposed a vision for my yards that surpassed all others. That was just the beginning. They began work on time, communicated every step of the way, employ an exceptional staff in the office and in their field work, and completed the project on time. It is simply magnificent! Every morning and evening I marvel at the beauty of both yards and am sure that I will enjoy the transformation of my yards courtesy of Outside Dreams for many years to come. They are an exceptional company and you will love the results.

We had our entire front and back yard landscaped with them. I was concerned that we were doing the planting in late September and expressed concern that the plants would survive. Two roses did not. I emailed 5/26 to replace per warranty and I was told that we missed the Mother s Day annual replacement and there is no time line on when I can receive new roses. I now have to replace out of my own pocket so I can enjoy what I paid for this season because they do not honor their warranty. I also had a flagstone piece crack in half within a few months and asked for it to be replaced and was told cracking is normal. So essentially recommended a material that has no warranty despite their manual stating flaking is normal. I am completely ok with flaking, destroyed and not usable within a few months when their warranty does not state as much and half my yard is flagstone is unacceptable. Do not use this company. Amy is very unprofessional. To your update Amy: you can spin it anyway you like. Point is you are unresponsive and uncooperative and do not honor the warranty. You still never gave timeline for replacement despite repeated requests- 2 written, 1 verbal. Although you did not take my call- or return it. I did spend $75 on roses today to replace and yes, I will continue to let others know about my poor experience- back in September and again, now.

We couldnt be happier with the work that Outside Dreams did for us. They installed two large paver patios, updated our front yard, and completely re-landscaped the back. It was a massive project that the crew knocked out in 12 days. Everyone has been very professional and friendly and well be having them do more work. I fully recommend them.

Outside Dreams exceeded my expectations! A few years back, I hired a landscape company to install a concrete patio and lay down some sod and the entire experience was a nightmare! So when I started looking for someone to finish my backyard project, I was cautious and nervous I would have a repeat. That was far from the truth. Outside Dreams was very detailed with the design, worked up a great concept, and incorporated my ideas which ultimately turned into a fantastic result. The crew that did the work arrived at 7 every morning and worked until 5:30 or 6 every evening until the job was done. I appreciated their dedication to completing the project as quickly as possible. All projects have their ups and downs but the crew worked through them and completed everything to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend Outside Dreams to anyone looking for comprehensive landscaping.

This company is amazing!!!! They redid my entire yard down to the smallest details. I am a very detail oriented person and they took every little thing I said into account and made sure to do it. The yard is absolutely perfect and there is nothing that I would change. They were patient with me, very responsive and extremely nice and respectful from everyone from the office to the crew. Theres not one bad thing I could say about them. I was very nervous entrusting such a big project to a company I had never worked with before because I have been burned bad with other shady individuals and companies in the past. For instance, I had paver steps put in by a previous company and it was done so poorly that I had to pay another company to come out and somewhat try to fix them which they didn t really. When I first started talking to Outside Dreams, the steps were the one thing that I was going to leave as-is. I couldn t imagine sinking anymore money into them. I was extremely skeptical but they convinced me that they could do it better and incorporate it into the final design of the yard. I shut my eyes and said ok and I am sure glad that I did. Their work product is on another level as compared to the previous two companies and they delivered on their promise. I am super glad I trusted them on this. The other big things besides the paver steps that I had done in the yard were two big retaining walls, a water feature with two waterfalls and a paver patio. These all turned out absolutely stunning. They do great work on the typical straight forward landscaping stuff also. If you are wanting any paver work, water features or retaining walls put in, rest assured that this company will do it right the first time. I couldn t be more happy about my experience with this company. For such a big extensive landscape renovation that I did, I am very happy that I put my faith into Outside Dreams. They turned out to be a worth while investment.

The landscaping design and guys that did the work were spot on. However, when we tried to get them to fulfill their promise to check out the installed drip lines once the sprinklers were on was left with a promise of scheduling a month ago, and nothing more. I shouldnt need to call multiple times for them to hold up their end.

Angela was great to work with. She was very responsive throughout the entire process, including after the work was done. Although they were not the lowest bid, we ultimately chose Outside Dreams because they took the time to come out and take accurate measurements and made recommendations on design. Dont hesitate to use Outside Dreams.

Our experience working with Outside Dreams was excellent. We appreciated Amy s detailed designs and estimates, and her flexibility to adjust a few things during the design process. The work involved replacing a 40 year old rotting timber retaining wall with concrete block, replacing old pink gravel, and 140 feet of fence. In a former parking area next to the driveway, they removed old gravel and installed a dry streambed, decorative boulders, plantings, and mulch. The crew arrived as expected and worked diligently all day, 6 days per week. Every evening they cleaned up the work area and swept the walks. Several neighbors commented on how well the work was going. We contacted the office to request a couple of changes as work progressed, and were pleased with the quick response and accommodation. We are very pleased with the process, the design, and the finished work. Amy also included a comprehensive Maintenance Manual describing how to care for the new landscaping. We highly recommend Outside Dreams for this type of project.

This company does a fantastic job. They are currently going through a rough patch due to losing a great receptionist, but they do good work and are meticulous with hardscape work. There prices are also very competitive.

We had an excellent experience working with Amy and all the staff. She took all of our needs into consideration and came up with beautiful solutions. Every time a question came up it was addressed clearly and professionally. The crew did quality work, arrived and worked when they said they would, and did everything as planned on time.
