The experience was mostly good, but the output has mixed feelings. Paying 3k to have them sod and overseed (with two different types of grass) for an eyesore in my backyard just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Basically, my backyard has tan lines. 😡 It would’ve been nice to have been told when they were upselling that they wouldn’t be the same/it’ll look different. I had the sod laid for reselling the place, but not sure if I should’ve just kept what was there to start. Now I have to figure out how blend these two types of grass so it looks decent. No one followed up after to check in either, so I get the impression this is a numbers game more than a quality for them. Lastly, you can’t tell from the picture but there’s actually about 4 softball sized dead spots among all that green grass. My guess is the water pooled in those spots and killed the grass. 3/5 value for money
We have hired Oaklawn to complete a few projects and we have always been pleased with the experience and results. We had a retaining wall built last winter and we always get compliments on it. We recently had them power wash our patio pavers and install polymeric sand. The crew did an excellent job on both projects and made sure to take care of our property. The communication from the staff, especially Stephen, Hannah, and Michelle, has always been exceptional. We have worked with several companies that never seem to be available to take your call or get back to you. This has never been the case with Oaklawn and we really appreciate that. Would definitely recommend Oaklawn for your landscaping needs.
From start to finish, Oaklwan was very professional. Communication was clear, and timeline was very reasonable. They turned my back garden that shares a fence with neighbors who do not take care of their lawn. The garden has always just been weeds and a nuisance. They turned it into a beautiful rock bed that makes the back yard so much more inviting and usable! (Before and after pictures included)
Large amounts of trimming of bushes and trees and several trees cut down in 100 degree weather. All was done well and clean up was great. A very good team.

Dealing with landscapers through Covid has been a nightmare. Companies either don’t return calls or won’t show up for scheduled appointments. And the one service that did show up, produced subpar work. Oaklawn has been amazing to work with. Within 24 hours of meeting, I had a reasonable quote in my inbox. Their team listens to my needs and makes suggestions on how to achieve what I want. They communicate when the team will arrive as well as provide regular updates if services are delayed due to weather. I literally cried when they completed my landscaping. I can’t say enough great things about this company!

Great Work and customer service.
DO NOT purchase firewood from here. First, the firewood is not seasoned, it will release steam instead of heat. Second, I purchased a full cord of firewood and I would say only about 2/3 of the wood I received was hardwood and rest were green, softwood trash. Go elsewhere for your firewood needs.
Did not honor their warranty on a tree that they planted that died within 2 months after planting. Mulch was littered with stones and rock. Horrible customer service. This service was for my elderly parents. They should be ashamed.

We recently had Oaklawn remove a very large oak from our back yard. It was in a difficult place on a hill and they also had to remove part of our fence in order to get equipment through up the hill. They were absolutely terrific. They worked straight through two days and returned to smooth out the ridges in the lawn, add topsoil, grass seed, tidied up our driveway entryway - and put back the fence. They were a little more expensive than comparable quotes, however, worth every penny as they took care of ALL the different parts of the job. The other companies were a little less but we would have had to parcel the work out which would have been more expensive in the end and time-consuming. Jeff and his men were reliable, careful and excellent.
Still waiting. .DONT give date and then not. Customer service awful...called and have to wait for Salesperson Husband just got call....OMG....to funny Still no quote...lol Michelle took from 1 star to 3 stars
Higher end of the price scale but the work is very good. they have many people onsite and cleanup is done well.
WASTE OF TIME and $$$$$$. Way overpriced for sub par work. Wish I never signed the contract and so does my lawn. Ended doing majority of the incomplete work myself. I was told the schedule was full and too busy. They did offered to come back and fix their mistakes over 3 weeks later. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere. If you want to save yourself from the hassle I encourage you to do the same.
