Very shady company!! Very poor communication with customers in regards to billing and I think by design. They will either sell you a service and give you the wrong service and try to charge you for both or not be forthcoming as to prices per visit with severe sticker shock after the service has been completed. Very bad business practices and shady billing!!! Get prices and services up front with these crooks before you agree to anything!!!!

They let me know the day before when they plan to come so I can make sure my dogs are inside. The guys that come are always friendly and do a good job. When I have a question, I ask on text and get a rapid response. Grass looks great

Ive had a lot of other lawn care companies ultra lawn is the first one that actually listened about the concerns of my yard so far very very happy.

I tried for years to improve my lawn but after constantly dealing with city projects digging in my yard and them throwing dawn fill dirt full of weeds it became too much. Enter ULTRALawn. They were very communicative and honest. They explained to me the problem weeds and that it would take time to fully kill certain ones. My lawn has never looked better. I highly recommend them.

We have dogs. Because of UltraLawn, we also have grass! They re great about letting me know when they ll be out and I clean up poo. Our lawn isn t perfect (dogs) but it is SO much better in the years since they ve been treating it. We do our own mowing, but we have grass to mow; not a patchy, muddy mess. We also use their winter service and our drive and walks are clean before I need to leave for work. Thank you!!

Lawn service has been exceptional

Iowa has been in several years of drought, so it has been hard on lawn companies as well as lawn owners. UltraLawn has responded quickly every time Ive needed them to come back out to do additional spot treatments on my lawn. Because weeds seem to be the only things that thrive in drought conditions!

After years of doing my own yard treatments I realized I just didnt have the time. I decided to go out and try TruGreen - and the results were awful. Not only was I paying a lot, but missed treatments AND the yard didnt look good. I decided to give UltraLawn a try and I wasnt disappointed. They are prompt, receptive and great customer service. If I have issues they will come back and help (e.g. a patch of weeds came out and they made a trip back to help me treat them). I was extremely disappointed that UltraLawn had me signed up for the wrong service this year and did not have a record of the conversations from last year regarding the type of service, the semi-organic, that I had asked for.

Last year was our first year using ULTRA Lawn. We had 5 visits. Reasonable cost. They called the day before scheduled appointment as a reminder message. The people doing our treatments were always willing to answer questions. They all seemed to like their jobs. We have had a problem with Creeping Charlie. And ULTRA Lawn made it much better. Our lawn is looking the best it has looked in years. Thanks to ULTRA Lawn.

Although I ve only had 1 application so far Chris L. did a very good job. He covered every nook and cranny of my yard, used the leaf blower to clear my driveway and patio of excess fertilizer, and communicated with me about issues after he was finished. Good job.

The tech was very thorough in spreading the fertilizer and spraying the ditch weeds. We especially like that he used the leaf blower after to clean the fertilizer off of the concrete.

I began with their regular program to control weeds, fertilize, and grub control. At the end of last season, I had them also Aerate, and this spring, they dethatched. When I go on vacation, I can call them to mow for me, which is really convenient. Last year I had them do some lawn restoration to repair damage by construction workers, and it turned out really nice. One suggestion I have is to send out a text or email the day they plan to service the yard so I know to expect it.

I used another lawn service and I had weeds that I didn t want in my yard. I asked if they could get rid of the weeds and they said not those weeds. I was also given advice that didn t make sense and it didn t work. Ultra lawn came in and said it straight, that those weeds are tough to kill, but they will be eliminated and my grass will be an Ultra Lawn yard. My yard had come a long way and I look forward to more great results. Ultra lawn is winning the war on those weeds.

UltraLawn has done a great job with my lawn. I tried going the DIY organic route for several years when my children were young, but I no longer have the time and energy that requires to get the results I want. Ive had bad experiences with another big name service that treats every lawn exactly the same regardless of your needs and wishes. UltraLawn offers me the ability to select what I want or dont want applied to my lawn. For example, I have a dog so I exclude pesticides like grub control from my applications. Although, when I first called them I had large patches of dead grass. They came out and identified the actual insect that was causing the damage and discussed the pros and cons of treatment for it and how to ensure my dog and family were not at risk. So they treated it that one time and I havent had a problem since then without continually broadcasting pesticides that my lawn doesnt need.

My yard is a disaster from last years Derecho. I was so overwhelmed and had no idea where to start. I called Ultralawn, along with several other yard servicing companies. Austin came out to my home the very next day to give me an estimate and quote the work I wanted completed. Not only did I feel a ton of relief when he left, but another gentleman stopped by soon after to start the early spring application. They certainly didn t waste anytime! Ultralawn has been doing our lawn care applications and deer repellent on our arborvitae since 2009. We ve always had excellent service. They are locally owned and very easy to get ahold of to answer any questions.

Cedar Rapids Friends and Neighbors, I would HIGHLY suggest NOT using Ultra Lawn. We had issues with them this entire 2021 season. At the end of the season our lawn had so many weeds you would have thought we didn t treat it. We mentioned the issues several times when they came to treat the lawn. We called to speak with a Supervisor at the end of the season and offered to send pictures, all we wanted is what we paid for, and they basically told us to take our business somewhere else. ULTRA LAWN DOES NOT PROVIDE THE SERVICE THEY ARE PAID FOR.

Wow! I have put off getting lawn care, but I wish I called Ultra Lawn a couple of years ago. Trevor is awesome! We just had our first treatment, and he mentioned that he would come back and spot spray any weeds that got missed, and even gave some extra fertilizer on freshly planted grass. At the end, he called me to let me know the invoice was in the mailbox but nothing was owed - he anticipated my potential confusion and ensured that I was taken care of. Called because they had been around for years. If you want a quote on landscaping they charge $100 just for an estimate if your not a customer. He said I would get it back if I agree to their price.

Hi I would like to send a note out to you for the great customer service we received from your tech Michael Inghram. on 6/13/19. We have two dogs and we play outside a lot with balls. He came to spray the lawn and I thought the balls we all pick up. He pull the hose around to the back yard and I seen him out the window to see him picking up my dogs balls that I did not know were still out. He picked them up and put them on are back deck, instead of just spraying with there balls on the ground, that was real thoughtful and great customer service. My dogs Snoopy and Piper say thank you too.

We ve never worked so hard for someone that should be providing us the customer service, not the other way around. They put down hydro seed in June and have admitted fault for not leaving any care instructions or being delayed on responding to questions or us needing help-yet won t make it right. A wet spring doesn t mean I don t get the same service that I m paying for just because you get backed up. Very disappointed with how everything has been handled.

I had one of the worst lawns around. The amount of improvement this year is outstanding. The last company I used did not make any marked improvement. The weed application done by Ultra was amazing. I recommend them highly!!

Had a problem with them putting chemical on our lawn. They were very belligerent on the phone. Would not give me the owners name of the company. Would not recommend their services to anyone because of theyre unprofessional business practices and phone etiquette.......... Update: read your response however last time they were out, again got chemical in my lawn. And of course I was told 4/19/19 this would not happen again. Then the call I wrote about here 5/16.....When I spoke to Adam...documented the call and also recorded the employee putting chemicals in my lawn....Also found out the owner name since Adam refused to give it to me...BRIAN AND PATRICIA KRUSE....You never did bother calling me and asking me what kind of experience I had with your service manager or whatever Adams title is....since he also would not tell me that either.. But yet you give a response on here many months later... to make it look like everything is great and fantastic with your company. Not even sure if this is the owner of the company responding. If it is I would think you would have looked into that phone call and would have called me to inquire!

By far the best lawn care company in Cedar Rapids. The service and product is second to nobody. I have used Ultralawn for over 15 years, and never once have had a weed in my yard. On the contrary, some of my neighbors have used competitors and still have weeds. They are now switching to Ultralawn this year as they are realizing you pay for what you get in lawn care. . If you want a fly by night company that uses a cheap product, go with the lowest price competitor and you will see the results of that, but if you truly want the best product and best lawn, use Ultralawn. I am never disappointed.

Friendly service and our lawn looks great!

Use caution going with this company! I wont use them ever again after the service they provided. I used them for leaf removal for three years. In the fall of 2015 they performed the same service, but did an EXTREMELY poor job. The job was half finished and the bill was twice the amount of the previous year! When I called in to get an explanation the manager was very unhelpful. I never found out why they didnt finish the job. Like a good consumer I paid my bill in full and immediately regretted now putting up more of a battle.

Make sure to get the quote in email before they come out for lawn care. They quote lower price on the phone and then send an higher bill. They wouldnt even care to correct their mistake and insist on paying the full amount. I wouldnt want to deal this company again.
