When we purchased our rental, the prior owners had taken out all of the foundation plantings and landscaping, leaving only a sunken front walk, gravel around the perimeter, and two trees in the front yard. Unfortunately, when replacing the sewer line, an incompetent plumber killed our beautiful old maple and the crabapple started to die, too. Moreover, during the purchase inspection, we'd been advised to lower the level of dirt around the foundation, and we had learned that the shape of the terrain was contributing to water in the basement during heavy rains. The front lawn was a weedy, lumpy mess with a pile of wood chips from the dead maple. Enter Prestige Landscape & Design, who I found through Angi.com. I discussed our issues with Ben, who visited the property to assess what needed to be done and followed up with a plan/layout along with pictures of the hardscape materials to be used. All in all, he removed the gravel and dirt around the foundation, sealed the foundation, installed new window wells, installed a drainage system, re-contoured the land, buried the gutter downspouts and sump pump outlet while integrating them into the drainage system, reseeded the lawn, replaced the front walk and door step, and planted a beautiful assortment of perennials, shrubs, and trees. Oh, and he hauled away all the mess that was there before. Doesn't it make you tired just reading all this? Well, according to my tenant, Ben and his small team were tireless at their efforts. Ben was hardworking and considerate, and even the neighbors got to know and like him over the three weeks that he did the work. And the final result was beautiful and impeccable. I feel so fortunate to have found Ben and Prestige Landscape and Design, and if I need future work done, I know who to call! p.s. Here are some before and after pics!
We hired Ben to manage the project and do the landscaping for our new house with no lawn, deck, patio, or irrigation. Ben hired good contractors for the deck, patio, and irrigation and managed the whole thing including the timing, hiring, and overall coordination for the whole project. The landscape design Ben and his team put together for our yard was beautiful and unique, and captured everything we imagined for our yard, and more. Ben was working on our project when we had a bad wind storm that took out a tree in our yard. Ben helped clean up after the storm, including helping clean off the roof of our neighbor's shed that the tree came to rest on. Since the project was completed Ben has continued to reach out with advice for lawn care and responds to questions we have. During the entire process we felt comfortable trusting Ben to get the job done and get it done right. We would absolutely hire Ben for a similar project again.
We have a beautiful front yard thanks to Ben and Prestige Landscape. We have been using them for over ten years. He is reliable, knowledgeable and does a great job. I highly recommend them.

Prestige Landscape designed and installed the landscaping in my front yard 8 years ago. It still looks great today! So, I thought of Ben first when my 30+ year-old retaining wall in the backyard had to be rebuilt. Ben's quote was less than half of his competitors', and he agreed it would be appropriate to re-use the existing flagstones rather than trying to upsell me to new, more expensive materials. Ben did a fantastic job with the tear-down and reconstruction, and even added appropriate drainage from the downspouts thorugh the retaining wall into the lower level of my yard. I wholeheartedly recommend Presitige Landscape and Deisgn for any work you need done in a professional, creative, quality manner by an honest company.
We found Ben to be creative, very professional, easy and pleasant to work with. Ben took out existing landscape that was outdated and overgrown and replaced it with top soil, edging, rocks, and a lovely selection of flowers, grasses and shrubs. Ben also installed a beautiful paver walkway to our front porch. We highly recommend him.

We had a garden retaining wall installed a number of years back by another contractor, and it was bowing and bending a little more each year, till it fell over. Ben was the only guy who both came out and provided a reasonable estimate. He was careful to avoid criticizing the previous guys work, but he clearly had a different idea of how it should have been done, and laid it all out clearly. My work-from-home neighbor was impressed with the crews diligence and attention to detail. Wall is great; very nice job.
A very professional work of art! We had our existing concrete patio remodeled by adding stone pavers, seating wall, and landscape. Ben was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and talented in his design and work. He took time and skill to provide landscape that would meet the needs of the area we were working with (sunlight, shading, deer resistant, butterfly attracting, kid/pet friendly etc.). The project was completed in a timely manner and communication was easy pleasant. The end product turned out better than imagined as they created a beautiful outdoor space for our family to enjoy. We get so many compliments on the workmanship and design! Ben was fantastic to work with and kindly worked within our budget to exceed our expectations for our outdoor space. We will definitely be working with Prestige Landscape and Design for future projects.
Prestige designed and installed a replacement deck and patio in the rear of house and a sidewalk from the patio to the front of the house as well as landscaping around the patio. Ben was the only contractor to suggest anything other than a enlarged (boring) deck to replace the current deck that was too small for a table. The new design includes a smaller deck (enough for a chair and side table, a beautiful stone patio and sidewalk, and pretty landscaping. Ben and his crew are hard workers and really pay attention to detail. The project did get a little behind schedule, but it was brutally hot many days with a storm here and there all very reasonable delays. I ve gotten so many compliments from neighbors - not only for how nice the patio and landscaping look, but for how nice Ben and crew were. Thank you, Ben!
Ben took our unusable backyard and added a beautiful patio, new grass and plantings and much improved steps to access the yard. Work involved removing dead trees, a cement slab, and evening out the yard. We are extremely pleased with the results.

My Wife Stephanie and I went to My Parents Today House on the West side of Lansing in Delta Township after We stopped at the store and after We picked up Our 14 Year old AJ from school Today in East Lansing and Ben Navarro and one other guy were there working on the area behind My Parents Garage putting in a Slate patio and Ben Navarro came up to Me and He told Me that He Had something that Belonged to Me that I had been Missing for the last 22 Years and He reached in His pocket and He pulled out My Class Ring From 99 the Year that I Graduated From Waverly High School and I was absolutely shocked ! I thought that I had lost My Class Ring For Good Back in the summer of 99 and that I would never see it again but Ben said that He was digging behind My Parents Garage and that He stumbled upon it in the Right Hand corner behind the Garage. I am beyond ecstatic to Be reunited with My Class Ring after 22 Years and it wouldn t have Been Possible without Ben Finding it while working at My Parents House and being Honest and returning it to Me in Person. Ben arrived when he said he would. He singlehandedly moved a significant amount of top soil to my grassless target area and then spread sun-shade seeds throughout the area. He then topped it all with fine straw and positioned a sprinkler to reduce the amount of effort it will cost me (with a handicap) to water the area at least twice a day. He was pleasant and the cost was very reasonable. I can recommend his company with no reservations.
