Im moving back to the house I grew up in and the front yard was in desperate need of attention. I did a Google search for landscaping design near Gretna and came across Mendez Landscaping. I sent a message via their website regarding some form of quote and after a few messages we met via FaceTime at the house to give them an idea of what I was working with. Originally I wanted to just have someone do some basic brick border with me doing the rest but I wanted some ideas from a pro. One of the best decisions I have made in a log time was meeting with Rolando from Mendez. We spoke about what I was trying to do and he took some notes while asking me questions about things I had never even thought about which reinforced to me I made a great choice by contacting a professional. After our meeting I was sent a rendering of what the potential final product could be and it looked fantastic. At that point I requested a quote. I decided after discussing it with him to have Mendez Landscaping do the garden design, install a sprinkler system, put in the plants we agreed to, bring in new topsoil, and build a concrete edging around the area. Throughout the process they kept in contact with me. We made a few changes along the way all of which we agreed upon. They let me be the boss and simply offered me suggestions and in doing so made the process unbelievably easy. It took three days to complete once they started which is exactly the timeframe we agreed to, I stayed away so that I wouldnt spoil the surprise of it all and when I went to the house at the end of day three I was in awe of how beautiful everything looked. Rolando exceeded my expectations in every way. I cannot begin to express how pleased I am with the work they did. If youre looking for a professional to help you design your dream look no further. If youre searching for someone you can trust to do the job right youve found the right place. These folks truly take pride in their work (believe me it shows) AND listen to what you imagine your yard to look like. I cant say enough good things about their services. Hired Mendez Landscaping to install drainage and level back yard. Was a great experience from the very beginning. We did a virtual estimate and was very impressed!!!! Wonderful and hardworking crew! We had serious water pooling underneath our home and porch and flooding in our garage after minor rain. The back breaking work they did to install the appropriate drainage has paid off. Two weeks of on and off again rain and we are happy to report no more water in our garage and no more water pooling underneath our home. Mendez Landscaping (Rolando) took his time meeting with us and fully understanding our concerns. We had several projects in mind and he took the initiative to re-prioritize and recommend projects based on overall structural concerns for our home. To us, that speaks volumes. Grading, Tilling, Installation of Sod - Outstanding Job - The second job was to install a Drainage System, another Outstanding Job. I needed my front lawn regraded as it was very uneven and had too much earth to it so Rolando (owner) came out and regraded it and leveled it out how i wanted. He was very professional and detailed. I recently had Mendez Landscaping come and landscape my front garden. Now keep in mind that I do not have a green thumb whatsoever. But Rolando was very patient with me as I asked him numerous questions. He was extremely knowledgeable with what type of plants we should use since my garden would receive full sun. This was definitely a concern of mine since I had two other people come and attempt to landscape my garden and within a month or so the plants died and the weeds were growing quicker then I could pull them out. My garden is more beautiful than I imagined. Rolando was a pleasure to work with then and even now.
