Daniel J Reed Landscape in Harrisburg

The Steelton-Highspire School District was in need of the high school cafeteria loading dock being extended due to a new parking area being established for its Electric School Bus Fleet. The Team from Daniel J Reed Landscape were great to work with. This project was completed within one week and all work was thorough and clean, especially when this project was an update to something that was originally created in 1958. The cost was reasonable and Dan was great to work with to meet the districts needs and not disrupt operations along the way. Some pictures are attached for reference.

Daniel J Reed Landscape has taken care of our landscaping for about 4 or 5 years now. Up until this year it was routine edging, mulching, trimming. After we worked with their wonderful designer, Aaron, DJR re-landscaped all of our front beds and expanded our 2 back beds. Almost all of the old shrubs and plants were removed. We replanted with native plants, many of which are pollinators. Everyone at DJR is great to work with. They are knowledgeable and personable. Our property looks fantastic. We have gotten many compliments. The bees and butterflies are everywhere, pollinating. DJR also does hardscaping work. They rebuilt our waterfall, which had been constructed by a different company and which leaked always. DJR completely rebuilt it, making it better, and years later, it has never leaked. We don't worry anymore about it running dry. We are thrilled to have connected with DJR.

I recently had DJR replace a small patio. Every step in the process was a pleasure. Aaron was my contact person as well as the designer. He had great ideas (like repurposing the existing brick 😊) and always answered my questions quickly and efficiently. They were actually able to start the project sooner than anticipated which was a wonderful surprise. I can’t say enough about the team they had to do the job. Quick, efficient and even though it was a small project, cleaned up after themselves EVERY day. We are so pleased with how great the new patio looks and would absolutely recommend them.

Dan and his team were top notch. Beginning with their design process, including arial drone shots and suggested design ideas, getting to a design we fell in love with was effortless. The lead designer guided us through product selection and convinced us to take a few ideas we had not considered. The team on site was kind, patient and respectful often having to deal with kids and animal running around, to which they just smiled and joined in the fun. DJR was accommodating to last minute changes, clear on pricing and expectations and delivered the project on budget. They often went the extra mile to consult on things like shed delivery, dealing with utilities and even connecting us to vendors to help with other needs around our property. Dan and his team did an outstanding hard scraping for us 5 years ago. Dan had a vision for design immediately, not your typical cookie cutter design. They worked in a timely fashion and professional. A stone retaining wall was installed along with concrete steps from our garage to patio, the patio pavers were our choice especially since we had to address township recommendations during the project. We also had a concrete slab poured under our deck. 5 years later we continue to admire his expertise along with his design and may I add no issues.
