Hired them to tear out an area that was overgrown with weeds/invasives. They did a great job prepping the area for our next stage, and we intend to use them on other parts of the property to reduce invasives and improve desirable wildflowers and natives. The staff know their plants and what measures to take to accomplish our landscape goals. Great to work with & highly recommend.
This lawn care service did a terrible job. Zips thru the yards like they have 10 minutes per yard. Ran over dogs leed and left it lay in the yard. When talking with an employee to ask them to clear weeds that were cleared before and had grown back because Details did not keep up with them. They refused to do it.
Worked with them for years! Never even looked anywhere else for my homes, businesses etc…but they don’t care about that at all…I spent 20k plus with them for new home landscape and the entire backyard project was messed up by their incompetent crew and instead of fixing my problems, they caused more trouble. I trusted and paid upfront and now they don’t care obviously because they have the money. They tell you one thing, then they change their words, It’s all a sales pitch ….if they don’t care for a client like me (multiple properties with them), then know that the work ethics are just not there. I am highly disappointed. I would look elsewhere and pay a little more if you really want the job done right and on time. You have to chase them for the job even if you have paid them the deposit months in advance and then they still didn’t get the job right and caused more damage, they are just not professional. They are okay for your grass cutting maintenance. Please see the photos below, every time I look in my yard now it reminds me how someone fooled me into spending 15k for this job and this amount doesn’t include the business I have given them on the front of my house
I've been trying to get an estimate for overseeding/aeration for my lawn for the last two months and have followed up several times. I can only assume that they don't want the business as I've yet to receive the estimate. Update: Michael reached out to me to explain the reasons for the delay (which were totally understandable) and to provide the estimate. Based on that I have increased my rating. It speaks to me about the integrity of a business when they try to make things right if a customer or potential customer is not satisfied.
I can't express how grateful I am for Details Landscape for the incredible job that they did on my yard. After months of trying to revive our gardens, grass and build a fire pit for landscaping, Details Landscape came in and made my dream, a reality. They were incredibly professional and always on time and even offered to stay late to continue to work. I was even more impressed with the small details that they did not overlook. Edges were crisp, the fire pit blends perfectly with our existing patio and our backyard has never looked better. I am not one to leave reviews but the job that they did for me was absolutely outstanding and they deserve the recognition. I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a quality landscaping project.
This company does a great job every summer. The company I had before them really messed up my grass and did not take the time to cut my grass. When Details mowers are finished with your lawn it looks like a well cut golf course that you see on TV. So glad my family switched to them. We live in Hummelstown, PA and would recommend them to all homeowners around the area. See you next summer with more pictures of a lawn that Details brought back from the dead due to bad lawn mower cutting from another company we used in the area that was not good at all. This company is wonderful, We switched to them in 2017 after having problems with another lawn company mowing our yard in Hummelstown. When we switched they made our lawn look amazing last year. I am out the country many times but when I came back home the lawn was mowed to perfection and they also trim our shrubs down. I look forward to them taking care our lawn this 2018 season. Keep up the great work...Would give more stars but it only lets me give 5.
When we needed a new landscape company to take over our routine lawn maintenance, we did a lot of online research. Our next door neighbor was also looking for a company and we both contacted Details Landscape to come out and give us an estimate. We are so glad that we did! Our lawn is always cut beautifully and they take care of the trimming and little cleanup details that some companies just leave for the owner to deal with. Their communication is excellent and their prices are more than fair based on what other companies in the area charge. Definitely a 5 star rating from us across the board!

Details Landscape completed an exceptional backyard project. Removed railroad ties, replaced with paver stairs and a patio as well as transformed our flower beds. They have a creative vision and a detailed eye. We couldnt have asked for a better outdoor living space. Great prices, people, and timely work!
I am so thankful for Details and their snow removal service. There is no way I would have been able to get to the hospital this morning for work if they didn t plow me out. They were so quick to respond to me and genuinely kind. Highly recommend :)

one of the employees took a dookie on my lawn and when i would point to the dookie and ask did you do this? they would just snicker and say no, that wasnt us. but i could see they were giggling. it was clearly them.
Terrible food, the fries were soggy, my burger had a VERY stale bun, waitress did not get my wifes meal right either. Will not be eating at this establishment again. Were a Hardys family now!
We hired Details for a major backyard project. Our wide, sloping yard was transformed into a level oasis of beautiful pavers, a fire pit, lighted stairs, and a pergola for a dining area. We couldn t be happier! The only issue we had was getting permits from the township, but Michael at Details was very patient with us. We highly recommend Details.
We can always count on the guys from Details to show up weekly and do a great job taking care of our lawn and mulching! We highly recommend Michael and all the other guys!
They leveled our backyard out then put down sod. They came out on another trip and sprayed to get rid of sedge grass (which had previously been deep in our soil. The sedgegrass is now gone.
Excellent service and workers. Very reasonable rates that are perfect for older people like me.
We have used Details for 3 years. They have cleared, leveled and seeded our back. They ve mulched and do our routine lawn care. They are prompt and do excellent work. The prices are very fair. Positive
These people are responsible for the snow removal and the lawn care in a development where I own a home..The service is absolutely horrible, in the winter they barely came to do snow removal, and when they did it was sub par the excuse I was given is they were short staffed and had to get help from some mission in Harrisburg. Every year they over cut the grass and burn it out...
They have an excellent maintenance package and make it so easy on you. Couldn t do it without them! They re so professional and take what they do very seriously. Not your typical landscape company!
Great customer service & workmanship
Scheduled 2 estimates. Both times nobody showed up. Both times the guy on the phone had a dumb excuse. They don t follow through or communicate. I woke up early both times and when I called to see if they were coming, they ignored my calls. Had to call from a different phone for them to answer.
We are very pleased and impressed with the quality of work on our mulching project - we will definitely use Details again for future landscaping needs!!
We hired Detail to level our ground, add dirt, plant grass seed, and do some small job. During their work, my husband expressed concern that they weren t adding enough dirt to avoid a mud pit in the middle. Yes, we had a record year of rain but yes, we definitely have had a pool of mud water from the ground not being leveled correctly with proper draining. Grass died. They also chose to use a plastic seed netting for the grass. We are slowly pulling it up because it s just laying on top of the ground. Useless. On top of the bad work, I ve emailed Detail to at minimum have them come to remove the netting - no response. I do not recommend this company. We wasted our time and money.
Wish I could review their work. Called a year ago and it took 2 months to get back to me. Called again this year in the spring. They came out, I got a quote and then they never came and did the work. Emailed repeatably, finally got a response and a date for the work. Then they never showed up. 8 months later I have finally given up. Seems like all the guys want to do is mow grass.
This was our first season with Details. They did OUTSTANDING work all season- even with the never ending rain! Crews that came were always professional and Michael was so easy to work with! Cannot recommend this company highly enough!
