Be careful of these scam artists. They quoted me a low rate then only sprayed a portion of my lawn. They never tried to contact me to let me know they screwed up. Then offer three times the rate i was quoted to fix the issue. Stay far far away, Its a scam.

Be careful they pay for google reviews. This company is dishonest and borderline scam. They fake lawn treatments (my cameras caught them faking it) and try to jack up the price when you question it. Sort the reviews by newest to get honesty.

Thankfully we tried TruGreen in New Market Maryland. Our lawn, planted by the builder was loaded with everything but grass, unless you can call clover and crabgrass grass and an assortment of weeds, grass. It took a lot a patience from fall of last year 2023 to spring of this year to reestablish a beautiful lawn. With TruGreens expert help and guarantee for satisfaction, they were able to kill the weeds and grubs, and replace our terrible lawn with a lawn to be proud about. Thank you TruGreen!

Treatments don t always give 100% coverage. But combined treatments and aeration has improved the lawn. Of course the addition of an irrigation system has also helped since our cool weather fescue likes water. Update: we fired Trugreen because they because they weren t dependable. They promised to do things several times and did not show. They tore up our turf aerating and didn t seem concerned. We had to remind them not to pivot so fast to reduce damage. It s a shame a few spoiled the many! By and large the technicians were competent. I think the company became too big and had trouble producing a standard results. We have switched to a smaller, local company.

I was not home, but the gentleman attempted to contact me at the front door. I have video surveillance. I was watching what he was doing while I was at work to see if he covered all the areas and not skimped out just to get done faster. It appeared as though he covered all of the lawn and did exactly what I read in his report. I truly appreciate that! Some people can get away with things when the homeowners are away. He clearly did not do that and that is very much appreciated!

I just call to get a price. My inquiry was started via their website. Just moments ago I got a call from the regional office of the area I live. The sales guy gave me the price with all the promotions and discounts including prepay discount. I asked him to send to me in email and he declined saying he can not send if he did he would be sending email all day. I told him this is a terrible business practice ... you just gave me a quote but you wont put in writing for me to review? His response was he does what he is told. Clearly if you cant put in writing I cant do business with you. Terrible! Sad part is I use Trugreen (not this office) at a different property in a different state. Bad business practice! No email ... it is 2024!

Service person was the best i ever had. Wish they all were like him.

I contacted Trugreen to get an estimate. That calculated my property size and price. The Technician came out as scheduled. However, what was on their paperwork and what my actual lawn size was did not match. Did they call? Nope! Did they contact me in any way? Nope! They sprayed half my lawn and left. When I contacted them I was told the actual rate would be more than three times higher. Sounds like a marketing scam to me. Avoid there are much better options around.

Today was just our second treatment, so too early to give my thoughts on how well it works, but everyone Ive encountered with TruGeen has been incredibly courteous and professional. Very pleased so far!

Techs were interested in solving my issue. Very tentative and thorough. Very satisfying. Both techs are an asset to TruGreen. These techs were doing a respray. The first application of the season was incomplete. I called and had to go thru a robo system of answering. If it was not for me having the local office managers phone number I would have not gotten the issue corrected. Before then I was talking to someone I could not understand and I feel they did not understand me. Frustration set in and I hung up. My comments above were for the respray. Not the complete job.

The lawn specialist were on time, polite and explain work that had been completed in terms I understood.

Ryan Wyatt perform the first maintenance service today. I was able to chat with him personally, and he reassured me of the excellent service. I will be receiving in the future in order to take care of my lawn and keep it green. I look forward to continued excellent service from Trugreen lawn care.

Poor customer service - was hung up on when I stated I would shop around / and now I have been pestered with many phone calls .... still trying to get me to sign up - I keep telling them I do not want there service but still getting these calls - will keep blocking the numbers they call on and keep writing bad reviews until they stop harassing me.

Good Day When I try to contact the office to inquire about what application is being applied during scheduled appointments, I m unable to get an answer. Whatever phone number I call, all calls are sent to a call center. These call centers answer questions from a script, and these people have know knowledge beyond their script. I m unable to speak with anyone from the trugreen office doing the service to get any information. I have to be at my home to speak with the service tech to get answers to my questions. I m paying for a service which is at best an Inconvenience to my time and inquiries!

Calling Customer service was a waste of 15 minutes of my life. Not only did I not get resolution but it is highly unprofessional to have your child yelling in the background (maybe invest in noise cancelling headphones if you are working from home). I tried to opt out of a service that my community signed up for and the rep was not helpful, found the address but no treatments despite them leaving a flag in both our front and back lawn. Seems like a lack of communication amongst their team. Now I have to wait for a return call and hope they dont show up again and destroy my lawn.

My first experience using a lawn care svc., not sure what to expect so this review is based solely on communication and accountability which I can say was very good.

When I have had issues with my lawn, TruGreen has been on it as soon as I point it out! My Rep has been very responsive to any inquires I have had about the lawn. Both my lawns look great and I know it is due to TruGreen and the applications they have applied! Great job!

Poor Service and inconsistent . Missed multiple appointments and didn t even bother to inform anyone until after when you go into the app . After that occurs they come & do double application and double charge you . I cancelled their services after that . Additionally the employees half effort your yard and don t even cover all of it as seen on my cameras .

DO NOT SIGN UP. They keep adding additional charges every month. Per my contract, first vist $32.97 with each additional visit $52.76 and a late fall aeration and overseed of $178. First bill $31.98 AND $51.16 for grub. $83.14, not $32.97. Second visit ( WHICH TOOK 3 RESCHEDULES BECAUSE THEY DIDNT SHOW) $167.00 for aeration and it looked like someone did random pattern around the yard. Customer service said they would drop the charge for the aeration IF I did not drop the service.. Im dine. Dropped the service and not paying the aeration bill!

Horrible service .very first appointment the tech comes out and says he s only there to do my front lawn as if I paid for a partial service. My last appointment was 6/14 when I am supposed to receive service every 4 weeks. Received a text message on 8/6 saying the tech will be at my home on 8/14. Today is 8/23 still waiting on that tech lol. Save your money you re better off doing it yourself. Or find another lawn care provider.

1 Star to a NEGATIVE 5 thanks to Kate McGarvey at Corporate Customer Care! Will not return calls or emails. In fairness, she did correct all the billing issues that caused us to drop the service. She asked us to sign up again and I asked for the plan to fix all the dead grass after the last treatment. Horrible service. No response. Now I have to hire another company to correct the damage caused by Trugreen.

I appreciate Tru green. They are affordable. However, they are not tailored for specific needs. For example, last technician notes weeds yellowing and mentioned it was from previous treatment. NOPE! It is from the treatment I had to apply to counter nut grass and wire grass. Tru Green will apply applications to counter both of these but they are too busy to permit application when most effective. However - I still like service.

I really appreciate the follow-up and retreating my lawn for the crabgrass and Nutsedge. This has been an unusual year for these pesky weeds. Thank you again. Positive

Aeration & overseeding service, excellent service

The aeration and seeding that was done today was great and on time. The fertilizer treatment that was done in August was great and on time. I was suppose to have gotten the mosquito service, but after 8 reschedules I still haven t gotten it done. They never give a reason why it gets rescheduled. Their app is ridiculously cumbersome. If they truly value their customers, they would do something about it. It suppose to be a valuable tool for their customers. It s a headache at best.

Though I am teetering on leaving TruGreen forever, after many upsets including having your workers sitting in a van out in front of my house, never leaving the vehicle, and getting a text as though they did a service, the particular representative I worked with today was professional and resolved my frustration for the moment.

6 months of service so far, my lawn is still full of weeds, they aerated and over seeded but never thatched all the dry grass in my lawn. I was told that would be done. My first treatment of weed killer resulted in damage to 3 rose bushes. Reported but no response. Today fertilizer was applied. I spoke with Anthony from TruGreen and I pointed out my concerns.

Exactly 1 month ago I received a phone call regarding my poor 1 star rating that I posted in frustration on the condition of my yard to date. Shawana called and left me a message and I called her back the next Business day. Another lady in corporate took my call and said she was on another call and would call me back when she gets done. Its been 1 month and I havent had any call from anyone. My last service was today and I still have bare spots in my lawn., plus plenty of weeds!! You have definitely not met my expectations!! I would like you to return to my property with top soil and good seed and fill in all the bare spots. Thats the least you can do. I hope to hear from someone soon....

Our yard has never looked better since switching to TruGreen. The staff is wonderful and introduce themselves upon every visit. What a wonderful, cost-effective service. We look forward to many more years with TruGreen!

As to the service itself: (1) Please ring bell, don t knock. We are more likely to hear the door bell. (2) Whe I called the day before inquiring as to what the lawn care service included, I was told fertilization and weed control. In reviewing the technician s summary, it only listed fertilizer application. Which is correct? The voice mail I received the day before informing me a service was scheduled the next day, there were no details given. I had told the call to find out what was to be so I could decide to accept it. As well, no price was provided.

TruGreen is the worst!!! Non responsive and not at all professional! Please save yourself from multiple headaches and do not use them. I pre-paid for yard service and got a notice that the technician would be out on Monday morning. On Friday morning, as I was leaving the house for the better part of the day, I got a message that theyd be here that afternoon. (Thanks for the advance notice, TruGreen.) I called to postpone the service for late afternoon when I would be home. Around 4:00 pm, I received an alert that the tech was here and when I looked out, saw no one. I immediately contacted TruGreen by chat and the rep tried to reach the driver for the next 45 minutes. They never did get a response from him or from the branch. Concurrently, my husband was speaking with a rep by phone, also trying to find the tech. While this was bad, our frustration was multiplied the next day, when we received two invoices for the service they completed on Friday. Long story short, on the next business day, I cancelled our service and was told to expect a refund credited to my bank account within 3-5 business days. Fast forward to today, business day #6, I called TruGreen to find out the status of the refund and was told that the refund was declined by my bank (what??) and, instead, they sent a hardcopy check that I should have in two weeks. I asked them to stop payment on the check and reissue one sent overnight and was told thats not our policy. (I guess it is their policy to not show for appointments and still charge the customer.) So, now Im waiting for a nearly $800 refund that could take several weeks to arrive. This may be the worst customer experience I ever had!

True Green needs to supply good masks for their Employees the chemicals that they spray they do not have the proper mask Trugreen does not give them to Their employees. If they cared about their employees lungs and health please true green take care of your Employees

TruGreen has brought our lawn to new heights!! We moved in with a lot of weeds, particularly what was called string weed. We dug it out, reseeded, and hired Trugreen to keep it away! The company has done an amazing job of helping in transforming just grass into a beautiful lawn for a reasonable price. Customer service is a joke And the yard still is not treated for mosquitos

They came unprepared, didnt finish the job, came 3 days later and didnt do a thing, they promised to come again but never showed up. Of course they never return my money. Dont trust them a bunch of liars

Communication in reference to contacting me prior to doing work was lacking and the failed to contact me when they were going to cancel an appointment.

What a waste of my hard earned money. I have used them for about 14 months and my lawn is worse than when they started. Had the lawn seeded and aerate twice and none of the grass has taken even watering daily. The second seeding was done in August, the hottest month of the year, makes no sense at all. Grab grass is everywhere. No body seems to care, even the guy that came out to fertilizer today could not believe had bad it is.

They only did 1/4 of the lawn, missed 3/4 and have it on camera. They are a waste of money Negative

a lot of weeds this year especially crabgrass it was everywhere. Not sure how much weed killer was used in any of the 7 treatments but it appears it was cut back

They came and did my neighbors lawn and the guy couldnt work the aeration machine and destroyed part of my newly sodded lawn. Get people that know what they are doing! I was promised a call back later that day and its been over a week and they havent done anything to correct the damage! Horrible customer service! No stars! We contracted with TruGreen in March 2021 and paid a discounted annual fee of $345. We had sod installed thru our builder in October 2020 and wanted to keep the lawn healthy. Had applications on 3/3 and 3/31. However our 5/10 application was disappointing as the tech treated the front lawn and didn t touch the sides or rear lawns. I called TruGreen once who said they would make sure I received a retreatment. After waiting three days I called again and asked when am I scheduled. Finally received a text on 5/19 I would be having a treatment the next day between 7am and 1pm. The next day I received another text now my appointment was scheduled between 1:00pm and 7pm. Finally 5:15pm I received a text the tech would be there between 6:30 and 8pm. At this point I could track him on the TruGreen app. At 5:39 he was in Laurel, 6:15 he was in Georgetown which is a good thirty minutes away. Suddenly at 6:27 I receive a text the tech is at my address and in the same minute I receive a second text my treatment is complete and rate your service! What? He was never here though supposedly he applied over 17 pounds of product on my lawn. I was home and I have a Ring Doorbell, he was never here. But if you look at my online account you will see a service invoice for the treatment which didn t happen at 6:27. DISHONORABLE and DISHONEST business. How many times have people paid for services they haven t received?

First year, we paid for front and back yard - only received treatment for front. Second year when they asked if we wanted to receive treatment, we told them the issue and they said they would reduce the price and do the front and back - we said ok. This year, we did not respond to the flyers and were planning on going with another company - now they continue to show up without us asking them. When I called them and said we didnt ask for this - they said it was a continuous plan until we cancelled. I told them to stop all treatments and I wanted to talk to a manager because I wasnt getting anywhere. When I went online to look at our contract to see if it did say it was continuous - the links are broken and you cannot view the contracts. Poor customer service. Poor treatments. Poor website management.

I paid them for 1 year of law treatment outfront which should have been every 3 months, in the year I only get an appointment twice, and second time I was downstairs looking at the guy through the window he barely spray any on the law . when I call to complaint, everyone I spoke to from their company told me I had a bad grass thats why I was not seeing improvement. I got mad and told them I never wanted to see them in my yard. One year later without any appointment, notifications or any contract they started taking money out off my account. When I noticed and called them, they told me that I was been charged for services they were providing to me. So my question to them was how are u treating my law without me known, no appointment no email no contract? Because first of all if u put fertilize on a law it needs to water so how can they treat law without me knowing. Theyre thieves I will never recommend anyone to this company. Even before I decided to try I got complaints from a friend of mine, but I still wanted to try them. Dont u give them your money u will be wasting it. You will rather do a good job yourself.

Excellent service, very well done. We have had this service many years and their products work to control grubs, weeds, and growth.

As long as I can get Mike on the phone and Ray does the work on my lawn, I am VERY happy with TruGreen. My lawn is much improved this year thanks to their hard work.

I made an inquiry on their website , someone called me and I declined the service due to cost. Now they continue to call and send emails . Very annoying!!!
