Ground Effects Landscapes in Hanover

Thrilled with the awesome work completed in our back yard. Ground Effects regraded and fixed our drainage issues as well as installed a Unilock interlocking patio. It turned out so much better than what we expected! Brent was quick to reapond to any questions or issues we had. Work was completed sooner than expected and the crew were wonderful to deal with. Would highly recommend Ground Effects Landscapes!

We had a new home built in Hanover area and from previous Landscaping projects we had Ground Effects Landscapes provide us with a beautiful Unilock driveway, patio and walkways. We had them landscape the property and install low voltage lighting which illuminates the yard in the evening. This is the third home that Ground Effects has provided us the amazing landscape designs, in ground irrigation and landscape lighting. The work was completed to our satisfaction every time. In Sept. of 2020 we spent upwards of $120,000 on our backyard. We had a fiberglass pool installed, pavers & hardscaping and numerous plants/shrubs/trees. Immediately after the install I raised some concerns I had about a few things. I was concerned pool was installed twisted (waterline in the deepend was higher on one side compared to the other and in the shallow end it was the opposite side where the waterline was higher). My concern was it would cause future problems down the road with the pool being stressed like that (still have email to prove this). Also, within days after the install I noticed a fairly large chunk out of the floor of the pool. To address my concerns, they said they'd have a representative from the pool manufacturer come and look at it in the spring of 2021, but that never happened. We also had issues with numerous pavers cracking and sinking. They did come in the spring of 2021 to fix one area where the pavers had sunk considerably and replaced a few cracked ones, but no representative from the pool company. Throughout the summer the same issues started happening again with the pavers sinking/cracking. I tried for almost 1.5 years (phone calls, texts, emails etc.....) to get them back to fix these problems and honor their 5 year hardscaping warranty but couldn't even get a response from them. Then to top it all off, about a month ago I noticed hairline cracks all throughout the floor of the pool (I guess my original concern with the pool being installed twisted was valid). Again, tried contacting them numerous times with no response. I sought the advice of a couple different lawyers and one sent them a demand letter only to have their lawyer respond by saying there was no warranty because the issues are the result of Mother Nature, ground faults, ground water etc.... Anyways, that's the coles notes version and now I have a backyard that is virtually unsafe for small children (tripping/stubbing toes etc.. on sunken pavers) and a pool that is cracked. Pretty disappointing after only 3 years and spending that kind of money. I would 1000% not recommend this company to ANYONE unless you don't mind throwing away thousands of dollars of your hard earned money.

We ordered 3 yards of top soil from Ground Effects. We have been very fortunate to not have bindweed anywhere in our gardens. This top soil was full of bindweed roots. We had to go through every shovel we moved to remove the weeds. We won't be using them for anything again.

Awesome employees....especially Mark. He was informative, dedicated, knowledgeable and quite obviously does a remarkable job.

Dosnt get any better than this for landscaping. Great staff and very creative design team.

I'm sorry I didn't find out the people's names behind the scenes but Ground Effects Landscapes was a beautiful venue for a wedding. I have no complaints. It is also a great place to go for pictures. Just beautiful!!!

My husband and I got married here this past Saturday (October 12th) and it was absolutely amazing and wonderful! We worked with Rebecca organizing it and she was awesome to work with! Answer every question we had and was really patient with us
