Weed Man Lawn Care in Hamilton

I ve never used the service. I never plan to. But every few months I get a phone call from this company asking for someone that isn t me. When I tell them they have the wrong number they then try and sell me their products and services which seems very dishonest. Please stop calling me and others who don t want your services.

I dont know about their other services, but we got them to come and spray for mosquitoes, and it did not work. They have come back numerous times to respray, and it makes no difference. I would not recommend them for that service.

I have not had a great experience so far with Weedman. This is my first year using them. I selected a package that had weed control with a guarantee. When I asked about this I was told that if I still had weeds after they do a treatment, I can call and they will come right away to treat my lawn again. They came and sprayed my lawn and got rid of about half of the weeds. I called back 2 weeks later to let them know. That was May 17. Someone from Weedman called me on May 29 to let me know that there is a white grub warning in my area and my lawn should be sprayed for them. They said there was a guarantee with it. I told them that I was not happy with the current guarantee that I have for my weeds since no one has come to treat my lawn yet. They told me that they would put a rush on it and someone would be at my house to spray for weeds within 2 days. I agreed to the white grub treatment. Yesterday (June 3) I called Weedman to ask when they were coming because I was having my roof done today (June 4). They said that it was scheduled for today so I asked if I could reschedule. They said that I couldnt reschedule. I would have to wait for them to come out to see if they could do it. I got home from work today to a note on my door saying that they could not treat my lawn due to construction (which I had warned them about) and that I would need to call to reschedule. I called to try to reschedule and I was told that it will likely be next week before they can come. When I complained that I had been waiting since May 17, he told me it was because of all the rain. Yes, weve had some rain but there have been MANY days since May 17 where it didnt rain. Be careful with their guarantee.... It means nothing it they wont do the service. UPDATE: Since leaving this review yesterday I received a call from a branch manager who was very understanding and promised to get someone out to do the weed control right away. Someone came and completed the job this morning already. Thank you!

So far except for a minor problem of not spraying edges at driveway and grass property, they have been very good

We ordered Weed Man lawn service on May 25. This is what our lawn looks like today. We have called many times to get reapplication. Most recently, we called on July 20th because the clover did not go away after the previous application. They said the would send someone. It was supposed to be that week. They didnt come and they didnt call to reschedule. We called again on the 26th. It was supposed to be this week. They did not come this week. Now its supposed to be on Monday. This is what it says on their website: If your lawn does not look great or if you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, PLEASE CALL US IMMEDIATELY OR GO ONLINE to arrange a free service call. These are at no extra charge, and we guarantee to be on your lawn within 24 hours. If you are not at home, we will leave a detailed written report and follow up with a phone call! FALSE ADVERTISING!!! And they refuse to give our money back.

This is the first year we decided to use Weed mans services. We have enrolled fertilization and weed control services for spring and summer. I was skeptical before and thats the reason I delayed getting their services. I can clearly tell that after just 2 visits the grass on my lawn looks greener while the weeds are dying slowly. it is a visible difference and the results show up in just few days after the treatment. No doubt in longer term this is going to be helpful and is going to save a lot of effort that I used to spend just doing basic maintenance. Had a weed problem and neighbor that refused to manage their property, weed man has cleared away 99% of my weeds and my neighbors ended up calling them too. Also after last summer s heat we had the lawn aerated and overseeded and the lawn has come back better than ever.

Canceled my service due to cost based on a recent lost job. Not only did they pressure me to continue, they kept trying to upsell me more at a higher cost. 2 years later and they still call me once a week. I have asked them to stop calling me as i will NEVER use their services again due to the constant harassing of phone calls.

Lawn is worse than it was before I used them for two years. I couldnt see any evidence that they actually did anything. One of my neighbors told me he watched the tech drive up, stick a sign in the lawn saying Fiesta had been applied and drove away. Save yourself the aggravation and $$$ and look elsewhere.

Called and cancelled our service. Literally they showed up the next day and billed us 67$. Called and explained that we cancelled and they said well we came and applied the fertilizer so its not our fault its yours. Honestly went through the exact same process with the next gentlemen with no confirmation number or anything. Extremely flawed process that needs to be addressed.

On March 29, they came to my door offering a quote. I was trying to be polite and made the mistake of providing them with my phone number. They sent me a link to the quote through text and I thought that was going to be the end of it. They have now called me 25 TIMES! This is harrassment. Im not sure why they think that on the 30th attempt Im going to pick up the phone and accept their services? Its insane.

By far the most pushy sales people I have ever encountered. I called for a quote and they almost wouldn t let me get off the phone trying to get me to join their cult of professionals until I just ended up hanging up on her. Since calling less than 5 days ago I have received 3 calls of them trying to harass for my buisness. Very unprofessional, they will never get my buisness!!

Two Weed control applications did not do any thing to my Lawn. Just wasted $1000. Had to cancelled the contract verbaly. They said they do not send any email to confirm that conteact has been cancelled.

October 2020: I am sure glad I already cancelled my 2021 services from Weed Man! Last night (Sunday) I finally got the e-mail that my Fall overseeding / fertilization would happen on Monday, but for some reason they would also be spraying for weeds on the same day. This makes NO sense, as you shouldnt seed and use weed control on the same day! I wanted to call Weed Man about this but they are not open on Sunday evening. Let me explain how illogically Weed Man is behaving: Firstly, I did not even request another Fall weed spraying service, and it was not in the original schedule I received in the Spring. Secondly, they showed up first thing in the morning and sprayed Fiesta weed control during the RAIN! Even Weed Mans own e-mails state that rain interferes with this product. So why did the technician spray when it was already raining when they arrived?! Thirdly, Fiesta instructions state that you have to wait after spraying before seeding. I also phoned in to Weed Man to ask about this and they agreed with me, and postponed the overseeding. So why the heck would they deliberately schedule overseeding on the same day as weed spraying?! This is TRIPLE ILLOGICAL!! I already had a long phone conversation with Weed Man about my concerns with their service after I cancelled for 2021. And I have already phoned in to complain about this specific issue, so hopefully management gets the message. Sigh. Im planning to DIY next year. (*Edited for spelling.)

Used this company once and the work was average, but they weren t competitive in pricing to other locals, so we started using another company. However once you use them, the hounding through phone calls is almost as bad as the duct cleaners. For this reason, I would recommend not using them, simply so you stay out of their database....

Ive purchased a full spring, summer, and fall seeding and weed control. Ive only had two applications so far and Im already seeing a difference. The weeds in my lawn have been a nightmare this year and I knew it was too much of a project for me to try and tackle myself. So I hired weed man. Never using their services before, I have been so far very impressed! I get an email a few days prior to them showing up advising me they will be at my house for a scheduled application a few days out. Ive advised them of an event I am having on a certain day and asked if they could avoid scheduling me that day, they have it in their system and made my unavailable. The first application, the guy advised me he would put a request to spray the weeds right away because they were taking over. Then a week later they were here spraying. I the recieved a follow up email advising me that due to the weeds Being so bad, they would schedule me a second spray application at no additional charge! Im still waiting for that, but I was so surprised and estatic that they care for their customers and their happiness that much! Im very much looking forward to using their services again! I highly recommend weed man!

My lawn has never looks so poor. I had to call them back to spray the weeds and they still missed 50% of them. I was trying to take one thing off my plate but I never should have stopped doing the fertiliser and weed control myself. Big mistake and big waste of money.

We have horrible weeds on our property. We started using weedman two years ago. I am quite happy with them. They send an email to let me know when to expect service and then they show up in accordance; if not, i am sent a note as to why service may be delayed. If i need further spraying for weeds - they come back out (at no extra charge).

Weed man came to my door in the spring to offer a quote for weed control at my property. I had never had this service but needed help so I said yes. He saw my lot which is a half acre corner lot when he came in person to offer the quote. Next day I got a call with my quoted amount for the season. I asked if it was for my front and back lawn and advised its a large lot. They said yes they had my property details so I agreed and paid in full. First they fertilized it went fine. Then Fiesta weed control which did not work. I waited the recommended time period but nothing changed the weeds were going strong. I asked them to do a reapplication under the customer satisfaction guarantee and they agreed in writing by email. Days passed no one showed up. I emailed no one replied. After a month of emailing without seeing anyone come by I called in. Only then did they say they misquoted my lot size and wanted more money for the services for the season. I couldnt believe it. After they were at my home to quote me, and I paid in full and had a first application they randomly say actually we want way more money. I told them to hold up their side of the contract and they refused. They also never did the customer service reapplication. I asked for a refund which they agreed to but it also has not yet appeared. As it stands I paid for a full season as quoted by them for one fertilizer application and a fiesta spray that didnt work. In my opinion this is the worst customer service Ive ever received anywhere period. And they called to up sell me on grub control after that lol. Guess that guy should have read the file notes but no one has a clue what anyone is doing there. I guess Ill keep hoping my refund shows up without having to fight another hour on the phone for it. Worst service in my life. Go to any other company literally any other one. The money you save not spending it on weed man will be my reimbursement as I doubt Ill see any from this service. May you have better luck elsewhere!

WEED MAN is reliable and effective. We have noticed the improvement on our lawn shortly after we first started with them. The prices a reasonable and there are different services available depending on the customer needs. I personally wish Weed Man had better packages for long term customers like myself, especially when you add up the different services together it becomes a bit pricey so we are not able to use up all the services we would like. But in overall we are very satisfied with the service provided. Definitely recommend Weed Man

They know what there doing and help out the individuals needs.

This has been the only lawn care company that gave me what I wanted and respected my requests. I recommended them to family and neighbors who are satisfied. Several times I have been told our lawn is in the best condition on the street.

This is by far the worst company Ive ever dealt with, I live in Waterdown just north of Hamilton and a guy come by selling lawn care.. I didnt agree to anything... weeks later I get a letter saying I owe for 2 treatments. When I called the company they said they sent guys on 2 dates on those dates I didnt see anyone on my camera footage... moral of the story this company is Fraudulent

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! I must start off by stating I initially did my due diligence and researched this company; the reviews were not great however the costumer service rep that I spoke to sold me by assuring those were old reviews and those issues have been rectified by better staff and management...WRONG! I was told I d receive a text 24 hours before my visit, this did not happen on the first visit. I called to inquire about the second visit and was told they will come this week or next .The second visit didn t occur until 14 days later. The day before and I received a call saying they d be on my property the next day between 3-4pm. No one showed up all day! I have home video surveillance to prove it! I called to inquire and was rudely told they take their technicians word for it when they say they do work ... I had a tent in my backyard on this specific day, and multiple children playing in and out of the tent and backyard all day. It would be IMPOSSIBLE for a technician to have done the work he claimed to do in the backyard. I decided to cancel and declined to pay for the second service due to the fact that it never occurred. I was Rudely yelled at over the phone by a supervisor who stated they have better things to do than to argue on the phone with an unhappy costumer and to expect a collections agency to get their money. He than hung up on me. PLEASE believe the negative reviews and don t believe it to be just be an angry costumer The weed man is unreliable, not trustworthy and quite frankly not worth the hassle and headache. Robinson) he was excellent, he not only cleared up any issues I was having but he also sent out someone who did a complete work up on my property. This gentleman was very professional and explained everything going on with our lawn clearly. My lawn is currently weed free and beautiful thank you to weed man for making this an easy process.

The service from Weed Man has again been excellent. They keep in touch by phone, and always give advance notice of when they are coming. My lawn is looking wonderfully green and lush this year after four years of service by Weed Man. It was very patchy in previous years.

Water of money. We have way more weeds or same amount of weeds like how we started. All the treatments they have done made no effect. Also they treated my neighbor lawn once by mistake thinking it was my lawn. I know because I spoke to my neighbour. Worst service and waste of money. Never again. Also they do not respond to emails as there emails states will respond. I am a busy person I cant wait on the phone line for 5 minutes or more to finally talk to someone. I had to call them one day to finally speak to someone directly about these issues. The person said they will send a tech person to retreat my lawn later in the week I bet no one will come since I completed all my payments. Also they left a bag of seeds on my deck.. They are suppose to apply it but instead they dropped it for us to do the work. Waste of money. Dont do it.

Cancelled their service 4 months ago and they continued to call many times trying to get us to sign up for next years service. Every time they called us we told them to take us off their call list but they didnt. Very annoying, customers beware.

Recently had two young reps come to my door. I told them I wasnt sure about lawn care and I would have to talk to my husband. They said they could talk to my husband. I gave them my husbands number. Since then have called 3 times in the last 4 hours. My husband is at work and this company is blowing up his phone. One phone call and ONE message is sufficient enough. My husband can not keep his phone on silent and while he is with clients he doesnt need his phone going off excessively. This is borderline harrassment and frankly we would never plan on using the service because of it. This is incredibly unprofessional and makes your business look desperate. There is ZERO reason to call more than once after leaving a message. I hope your company reviews their policies from here on out.

This company should have no stars. For starters, they sent sales rep to my house on family day at 7pm. Absolutely pathetic. They must be hurting badly for some business. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Second of all they interrupted our family day dinner. No integrity at all. Seems like its an on going matter according to these other horrible reviews. Maybe you guys should look into these issues going foward. Along with everything, there is 10 centimeters on the ground, cant even see the grass.

Such aggressive sales tactics over the phone today after leaving my number with a rep that came to the door a couple of days ago. The price was jumping down constantly as I said I wanted to think about it and the sales person getting more and more annoyed that I would not commit straight away. Wouldnt let me get a word in. I wouldnt choose to use this company from that experience alone.

Called them on Monday and came on Wed. Crew was professional and courteous. I have used them in different cities and they have always been very good to deal with. We also had a visit from a quality control supervisor which was great and again no issues.

Im not a customer, but I saw some of your workers on henry st. In rockwood today. Me and my wife have been looking to get some work done. And noticed you have some good technicians. There was a blonde woman, and a bald gentleman working on a large corner lot. They did their job quickly and efficiently from what we saw. And cant wait to be in touch for our own property. Hoping they gave a good review like we are even though we have not had our done yet!

Weed man has kept me very busy cutting the grass this spring. They used fertilizer and weed control And I have the greenest thickest grass on the street. And no yellow blossoms.

Terrible service, dont waste your time. I called early May to set up the basic program as my lawn has so many weeds and needs to be replanted after spraying. After multiple calls over the month of May, they never showed up. Its nearing the end of May and I had to cancel the program and payments. They still have provided 0 weed treatments. The customer service then had the nerve to threaten to send collections after me. Take my advice just save your self the time and trouble and call another company or just spray the lawn your self.

I have used Weed Man for the first time this year to combat the weeds that have overtaken my lawn. They gave an affordable quote with the option to prepay. So far, they have visited my property twice as scheduled, done what they indicated they would do, left a notice informing me of what they had done. I am very pleased with their service.

After filling an on-line survey with regards to Weedmans product and service, I had a visit from your senior tech, Kevin. He took the time to address my concerns and provided a respray of weeds located primarily on the edge of my lawn. He assured me that the local Weedman is there to help, and if there are any issues related to the lawn to call, and it will be dealt with. I appreciate the customer centered approach.

Weed Man is diligent and timely with the regularly scheduled applications and advice. The result has produced a lawn that we are proud of, weed free and relatively easy to maintain.

Giving Weed Man a second chance. We had some challenges with this lawn service in the past but decided to try them out again this year. So far it has been much better. We noticed that both their customer service and technician service has greatly improved.

I spoke with Kevin again after he was finished his respecting and it looks as though he did a thorough job . The two techs arrived , positioned for best coverage of yard and answered all my concerns.The two techs seemed to have my concerns looked after.No complaints at this point.

We were close to losing our lawn to clover and creeping Charlie last year and tried many things to combat the yak-over. We got a call in the winter and decided to sign up when Weedman. We are just halfway through the season and our lawn is looking great and looks like we are going to win the weed battle. The value of the package is worth the service and product and pre-paying for the whole summer ahead of time, came with some savings.

I was at home when the technicians arrived to apply weed control to my front and rear lawns. I was notified by email 1 day before they came which was nice and appreciated. The rep was polite and presentable when he came to the door with my invoice copy. They spent an appropriate amount of time to apply the chemicals and I look forward to spectacular results.

Grass looks great.

Our 1/3 acre lawn was full of weeds and not healthy. Called Weed Man. After 1 year of treatments, the lawn looked much better. After 2 years, the lawn looked green, thick and lucious, just like a carpet. Weed Man is affordable and diligent. The best part is we dont need to weed and fertilize the lawn ourselves. My brother-in-law wanted to know who did our lawn and called Weed Man to do his. Just beware Fiesta that is used to kill broadleaf plants doesnt do much to remove Creeping Charlie. The only way to slow down that plant is by having a healthy lawn and good mowing habits, so it appears.

They offered us a deal that was touted as all-inclusive at the beginning of the summer, but still phoned me periodically throughout the summer for add-ons that costed extra; Ive stopped answering their calls. My lawn still has dozens of weeds. Biggest waste of $300, plus the extra $100+ useless add-on.

This summer I suspected I had chinch bugs, I called Weed Man and they were here within a day, confirmed my suspicion and immediately sprayed my lawn.
