We solicited bids from multiple companies for our backyard remodeling project, met with the estimators, gave them the basics of our vision, let them make suggestions, and crossed our fingers. After reviewing the plans and estimates we received back from the companies, Gary Anderson Landscaping, Inc., was our choice and we could not be happier! The communication before, during, and after project completion was second-to-none, the price was reasonable (one of the bids was over twice what Gary Anderson was asking), the project was completed within their estimated timeframe, and it looks great! We will not hesitate to recommend Gary Anderson Landscaping, Inc., to anyone who is looking to spruce up their yards!

Gary Anderson Landscaping is a first rate operation from beginning to end. We reached out late last year. Brian Binstock, designer, listened to what we wanted and then prepared a proposal for our review and approval. In the months following, Brian was very responsive to any questions we asked, offered recommendations and implemented any changes we requested. Once the project began Tim and BJ led the crew of workers. Not only did they work hard every day, but they were professional and considerate of any questions we had or ideas for small changes we offered. Every day the crew finished by straightening up, something my neighbors also appreciated. Brian and other senior staff stopped out to review and advise as work progressed. Near the end of the project we walked through to address any questions or concerns. We are beyond happy with everything that was done and highly recommend them to anyone who wants the very best.
This was my second time using Gary Anderson Landscaping. I obtained five bids. In the end I went with them because they were the most responsive, easiest to work with in the planning phase (Dan was my designer), and flexible to meet my cost constraints. With Dan's encouragement, I was able to reduce costs by getting rid of the existing gneiss rock and retaining wall through Craigslist, FB Marketplace and Nextdoor. Dan adjusted the estimate as things went along. Their initial bid was actually lowest of them all to begin with, however. The project was fairly extensive. In the end, they removed two cubic yards of heavy rock and replaced with mulch, removed old sand and built me a new sand box, installed a new paver patio, and built a new, divided, retaining wall to address a water problem and flooding in my basement. The crews were so conscientious and hard-working, checking with me as they did the work. Even undid or redid some areas without complaint to meet my vision for the final look. They also didn't start until Nov 9, working through a rainy, snowy and cold week. They are amazingly professional! They were like a symphony, working in concert, without any shouting at or complaining to each other. They were really, really, really nice to work with! I love it all and highly recommend them.
We used Gary Anderson for a landscaping project and we're so happy we did. I personally know nothing about landscaping, so I was very grateful how Ann Marie helped us through the entire process. She patiently listened to my ideas, then used her expertise to design exactly what we were looking for. Their install crew is also incredible! They get the job done with skill and care. We were looking to completely replace two falling-apart retaining walls -- we suffered through disappearing contractors, and quotes so high we could just as well go buy a different house instead! We were thrilled to find Gary Anderson Landscaping! They were professional, had great ideas, and were able to do excellent work within our budget -- they worked with us to incorporate our existing curved stairway, and used flagstones from the old front yard retaining wall to rebuild a collapsing wall in our back yard. Andrew and Chad handled most of the project, and were careful in their work and left the job site spotless! We were up against a deadline to get the job done or our funding would disappear (delay caused by a disappearing contractor and then by bad weather) -- Gary Anderson Landscaping delivered! We will definitely use them again should another project come up, and are happy to refer them!
I am a fan of Gary Anderson landscaping for several reasons: 1) They do what they say they’ll do: They show up and provide detailed quotes with all the necessary background; 2) They worked with me: I was able to strike the right balance between DIY and them doing the work. I was able to do a bunch of demo work without making their job more difficult; 3) The work was done and on time: They carefully built a work schedule and communicated when they would be on-site. The work was done on time and on budget; 4) High Quality: The work was done so well that our property won a curb appeal award from the local community association. We really appreciated getting the opportunity to work with Gary Anderson on our project. After speaking with several landscaping companies in the area, we really felt Brian took the most care into listening to our ideas and questions. He provided excellent feedback and suggestions on how we could put our thoughts into the landscape and within our budget. Communication was also great with not only Brian and the office staff, but the work crew as well. Scott our designer came out and provided a quote which was significantly less then others. The crew did a great job with the wall and cleaned up the job site each day. Our landscaping and retaining wall project with Gary Anderson Landscaping was recently completed. We are so pleased with the project. We have received numerous compliments from our neighbors as well! Everyone was easy to work with and so patient about answering our questions. Gary Anderson Landscaping did a large boulder retaining wall and the landscaping for our new home. They also just added a large sun garden in our backyard. I highly recommend them for their quality of work, professionalism, all at a reasonable price. You will not be disappointed.

Gary Anderson Landscaping hauled, stored and redelivered three large rocks for us for us while we were in the process of selling our house and moving into our new house in June. Joe was a pleasure to work with and he came up with a beautiful design for the project. He monitored the installation on a frequent basis to make sure things were progressing to our satisfaction. We put in a 300 sf paver patio and re-did all the landscape rock around the house. Chad and Langdon did the installation and were meticulous throughout, from start to cleanup. We were super happy we went with Gary Anderson. I had a specific plan in my mind of what our landscaping would look like and gave those ideas to Joe. Joe came back with everything I had described and gave it life! I was looking for a plan that I didn t have to edit or change and that s exactly what I got. The guys came over and worked hard from 8-5 to get it all done. They made sure it was perfect and were thorough in their clean up. This was an A+ job.
Ann Marie came for an estimate and was standoffish right off the bat. We just moved into a new construction home and had no ideas of landscaping so we asked her for suggestions and there was really none than what we told of. Afterwards she sent us an estimate and I emailed requesting more info and there has been no response. I was looking forward to move with the project since it was in our price range but I will look elsewhere. Stay away if you want a responsive company for your landscaping needs.

They did great work. They were conscientious about damaging the grass and sprinklers even with heavy machinery. Great job on the retaining wall and cleaning up after the job. Workers were very nice also.
They did a great job putting our initial patio in 7 years ago and when we wanted it expanded they did a great job expanding it. Very professional workers on site and asked if it was to our liking before they left. Would highly recommend!

Prior to meeting with Gary Anderson Landscaping, we met with several other landscapers for an estimate for a boulder wall/patio we wanted built off the back of our house. 95% of these other landscapers had ZERO communication skills. After meeting with them, most never even got back to us with an estimate or even a simple follow up email. This went on for months. Feeling frustrated, I shared our story with a friend, who then highly recommended Gary Anderson Landscaping. We decided to give them a call. They were so quick and responsive EVERY step of the way. Just that alone was very impressive compared to all the other experiences we had so far. Their bid was very fairly priced too. We decided to hire them to build our vision and their crew did a fantastic job. It turned out even better than we expected. I recently hired Gary Anderson Landscaping for a backyard project I had been plotting out in my mind for quite some time. I looked into various landscaping companies, had a few bids, and I came out of it all very frustrated. A lot of run around and being left to hang. On the verge of giving up on my idea, I came across Gary Anderson Landscaping, and I reached out via email. My email was responded to immediately(by Gary), and a representative was out within days for an estimate. I received a bid that same day and the project was taken care within weeks(when their schedule allowed). They were professional, courteous, and pleasant to work with. I had a minor concern with something at the end of the job, and without judgement they came back out immediately and corrected it to my visual. I am even more satisfied with them now than I was prior to that happening. They stood behind their name and that says a lot! The final project was exactly as I had envisioned and I plan on hiring them for future projects as well! I highly recommend this company!
