Ive had Lawn Doctor servicing my yard for two summers now and i notice a HUGE difference in the appearance! I am VERY happy with the improvement! Also, our tech Niko Jurkovic always sends a text the morning our service which gives me ample time to make sure we keep our big dog out of his way. Niko has also been extremely accomodating with last minute changes to our service dates this summer as we had repairmen in our yard blocking the entry gate.. i really appreciate all the communication and quality work we have been received!

Nick and his crew took soil samples and put together a formula that had our lawn looking better in one season. I have been very pleased with their fertilization, weed and grub control maintenance care program. They are extremely responsive to any issues or concerns you may have with your lawn. I had nutsedge show up in several areas of my lawn which has poor drainage, I called and a Lawn Doctor technician came out the next day to spray and eradicate the problem. Lawn Doctor is vastly superior to the other major lawn service company I had used for several years, happy I made the switch as did my next door neighbor.

We had some trouble last summer with grubs in our lawn. We called Lawn Doctor and they treated our lawn. The grass is growing back nicely and we are using them this summer for fertilization and grub prevention. We are very happy with their service. They always leave a note with suggestions we can do to keep a healthy lawn.

I started using lawn doctor when I decided that doing it myself was more hassle than it was worth. I ve used Trugreen and other services but what I found is that these guys really do the right kind of job. With true Green I found that after they fertilized in the spring I had tons of dandelions. But when these guys fertilized and then did their follow up I have had no dandelions. They also did a core aeration and did a great job. Just really appreciate how they stick by what they say!

I called them 2 years ago to start a program for my lawn that was in very poor shape. I had crabgrass, weeds, bare patches etc. I told Joe that they had a year to make it better or I would drop out. I can truthfully say they did everything promised. Weeds are gone as well as bare spots and my lawn is much thicker and lush than ever before. they do the regular program plus overseeding and aeration. I am entirely satisfied and would recommend to anyone

I have used Lawn Doctor for nearly 10 years for weed control, seeding, feeding, aeration, and advice on caring for the lawn. The Owner has been to the house several time to inspect and answer concerns.

We have tried a few lawn companies and Lawn Doctor is by far the best. They do not skimp on product as others do. Our lawn has never looked better!

Best lawn care service I have found in our area. My lawn is green, lush and more heat tolerant than it was with any other lawn service contractor I have had. They are responsive to all my requests and lawn care needs.

We switched to lawn doctor a year ago when our lawn was in bad shape. It was dead in places and really patchy. After some testing, Lawn Doctor turned our lawn back to a beautiful green yard. We re so happy that we switched! P.S. We also found some mole hills and called them. While they don t do pest control, we were given step by step instructions on how to handle them.

Been with NW Indiana Lawn Doctor since i moved into my house in 2003. Nick the owner was just starting out when he knocked on my door, answered every question professionally, and was able to explain ANY question I had about my sod, seeded areas, weeds, trees, etc. Lawn looks excellent every year and if I call between regular visits they will do whatever is needed to correct my issue- even when there may not be one !!

A little pricey but unlike True Green you get a person to answer the phone when you call and respond quickly to your need.

Great service personal who are helpful and kind. They answer my questions in person during service or via phone/email; suggesting what I need and no not need. Some areas still have issues with creeping Charlies or weeds that pop up between services, but if its an issue they will come back free of charge within the week to re-service which is great. My lawn was dominated by weeds when I moved into the property, but after a 1-2 years of continue service, the lawn looks great. Id recommend their service.

I ve been with Lawn Doctor since I moved here in 2019. I take great pride in my home and Lawn Doctor has my lawn looking it s best!! From the start they have been very professional. Every service visit is followed by a detailed description of services rendered and my lawn s current condition, which I find very helpful! They are also very prompt and responsive whenever I need a service call. They actually listen to what needs to be done and they execute!! Not in a couples weeks, Lawn Doctor has been out in a couple days, if not the following day of a service call request! They are very informative about everything they do and why they do it. Everyone from the technicians to the customer service staff are top notch! Never once has Lawn Doctor let me down! I m a customer for life!

I have used Lawn Doctor in 2 different time blocks. In both instances, Nick Shaw, the owner, is incredibly hands on and responsive to customers. I had hoped that by following all of his recommendations, such as soil analysis and then additives to improve it, aeration, grub treatments, and the 6 yearly treatments, my lawn would be spectacular after 3 years. It isn t. Some issues, like moles last year, are beyond Lawn Doctors control. However, I wish that my lawn looked better as I am putting my house on the market. My motivation to return to this company was having everything ship shape for sale.

I filled out a survey on their website to be contacted by someone concerning hiring Lawn Doctor. I did receive a call today and was asked how I heard about their services. I stated that I drive past all the time and decided to call for an estimate. I was informed that due the fact that unemployment benefits had been increased an extra $300.00 they are unable to find employees. I am writing this review because I don t appreciate being giving a mindless political talking point when I am trying to contract you to do business. A simply we are not accepting any new customers at this time would have sufficed. I will never contact Lawn Doctor again and will be sure to tell others about my experience and encourage them take their business elsewhere as well. If $300.00 keeps potential employees away from your business maybe you should dig a little deeper by paying a better wage or creating a better work environment take ownership of the problem and not place the blame elsewhere.

Lawn Doctor was beneficial in helping me to see the problems with soil which prevented a good healthy green lawn. They have set up a program to bring the soil into the better condition. I have already started to see progress with their program.

Year after year my lawn is always looking good and weed free because of Lawn Doctor. I love being able to see spring time weeds and dandelions popping up at my neighbors yards, but then my yard is always void of that! Lawn Doctor has been treating my lawn for over 10 years and I never once thought about stopping it. They are fairly priced and their service does what it is supposed to do. If you re looking at using them for your lawn don t hesitate.

Nick will take the time to explain everything in detail and any special instructions we leave with them are always followed. We just started service in 2019 and not at the beginning of the season.However our lawn made huge strides in recovering , and overall looked much better. I have a strip between mine and the neighbors driveways it was missed in the beginning however I called to let them know ,they were back the next day to hit the strip. My only little grip if you want to call it that is, a call the day before they come out or an e-mail a couple days ahead of time so if things need to be moved theres time. Other then that its been a GREAT experience.

Really helped my lawn look great. I tried to due the fertilizing on my own and ended up either burning my lawn or having it not be effective. For what I paid on my own, it was slightly more to have Lawn Doctor do it for me and do it the right way. I would highly recommend them!

When I moved into this house the lawn was terrible, crab grass, large areas of dead grass, grubs... I called lawn doctor and got an estimate. They recommended grub treatment, seeding and a fertilization plan. I am in my 3rd year of using them and am very happy with how the lawn is thick and green. Only drawback, is now I have to mow it all the time. ;) Looks great though.

First time tried this service. They came out and spot sprayed growing weeds. Problem was a wrong product or mixture was sprayed which has now caused dead areas on my lawn without signs of new growth. Not too happy.

Lawn Doctor has not only made my lawn look much better after one season off treatment, but because of the good work they have done, it has also solved a problem I had with moles on the property by helping eliminate their food source with the grub and insect control! Marvelous work Lawn Doctor!!!

Myself and my neighbor had new construction homes and both yards were completed by the same landscape contractor who did a poor job. Both yards were taken over by weeds that choked out any new grass. They called Lawn Dr first and I was amazed by the results so I called them too. They were able to eliminate the weeds so the grass was able to grow. I highly recommend them. Their customer service is the best.

Used service for the first time this year because I ve looked at houses that they ve treated and serviced, and they have very good results and good quality looking lawns. I ve learned through conversation with the owner that there are steps to keeping the lawn looking great. I will definitely use them again to service the lawn. Customer service was very good, and very personable. I m excited to get the lawn looking great for the next spring season. I would definitely recommend using them and asking questions you might have about lawn care. Nick was very insightful on methods and common mistakes that homeowners make through out the year. 12/23/2020, UPDATE TO OWNERS LIES: Its sad to read such loose & twisted 1/2 truths from Nick. NICK tried to sway us using intimidation & is playing the victim role (narcissism). We contacted the company with service problems, several times over time. He didnt attempt to help us fix problems, & as stated below, he was continually dismissive, disruptive, argumentative & arrogant, every time we spoke. NICK ultimately destroyed the trust. When NICK realized we werent going to give in to his manipulative antics, he changed his tune at the very end. We saw NICK & JOE SHIPPS carelessness and deception as time went on. JOE didnt admit his mistakes, as NICK loosely described. JOE serviced at 2pm that day & had a window of 24 hours to write a short note, email, text or call us of the damages he concurred: we never heard from him. JOE had our contact. JOE choose to hide the fence damages, in hopes we wouldnt notice, until I discovered it the following (2nd) day. We confronted JOE on the 2nd day & we told JOE we would be contacting NICK the following day (3rd day after incident). Joe slyly decided to call Nick before we had the chance to talk to Nick (3rd day). WE CALLED TO TALK TO NICK ON THE 3RD DAY BUT ONLY MIKE WAS AVAILABLE. MIKE DIDNT CALL US, AS NICK LIES. As stated, JOE didnt confess 100% when I asked him on the phone: he said I might have, Im not sure.... After NICKs continuing disruptive phone behavior towards me, (which I dont allow), I made it point I was done & he was to, then, speak with my spouse. NICK was just as explosively rude, arrogant & disruptive on the phone with my spouse, as well, of which we were then done. After that, NICK was the one who left several voice messages, (not us, as he lies). NICK asked about replacing the damaged fence in the beginning, not at the end. We politely declined because we told him we had extras on hand, thus resolving it. NICK fails to mention that, with more twisted 1/2 truths. WE DIDNT FEEL THE NEED FOR A REFUND, NOR WANT ANY TYPE OF RECONCILIATION, BECAUSE NICKS BEHAVIORAL PROBLEMS, FRUITLESS EFFORTS, DISHONESTY & BAD SERVICE CONFIRMED OUR DECISION TO CANCEL. WE WERE NO LONGER INTERESTED & MOVED ON, DUE TO THE CIRCUS CIRCUMSTANCES. WE DONT GIVE OUR $$ TO THOSE WHO CANNOT BE 100% HONEST, BE PROFESSIONAL NOR DELIVER CONSISTENTLY GOOD SERVICE. AGAIN, THIS BUSINESS IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY. 12/22/2020: Not recommended: unprofessional & dishonest staff & owner. Owner, Nick Shaw is very unprofessional (continually disruptive & arrogant in telephone conversations) & has a bad temper. Our initial conversation with Nick (before we hired his service for lawn care at our home) included Nick spending over an hour talking very negative about another lawncare service & bragging about his services. Over time, we notice a continuing lack of customer care from Nick & his associate Joe Shipp, who worked on our lawn regularly. Our lawn was being burned regularly after each application done by Joe Shipp, & over time, we noticed the downward negative quality of our grass. Speaking with Nick proved to no avail to have the problems fixed: he simply made excuses. The final straw of firing Nicks Lawn Doctor services came to a very bad experience we had with Joe Shipp, who damaged 4 feet of our wire fence on our home property & was not honest with us about the damages. After an application of lawn fertilizer was completed by Joe, the next day I discovered the damaged fence, intentionally hidden in our hostas by Joe. I called to speak with Joe & asked him if he damaged our fence, (giving him a chance to be honest with us & admit his mistake). His response was a long pause & he stated, I dont know but I might have damaged it a little...). Note: we have video footage of him running over the 4 feet of fencing with his machine & Joe hiding the damaged fence. Unfortunately, when I called to speak with Nick about the dishonesty & the damages caused, he was belligerent towards me & to my spouse on a separate conversation that same night. We dont recommend this company at all.

After unsuccessfully trying to get our yard under control we decided it was time to contact a lawn care company. I walked around our subdivision and took note of all the companies that provided lawn care and how the lawns they serviced looked. Lawn Doctor hands down had the best looking lawns. I called to set up an account and spoke with the owner, Nick. Nick advised me the office staff was running a little behind that day however he would be more then happy to get everything set up. After one year of service/treatment our lawn was already looking 100% better. Upon moving into a new house this year it was a no brainer who we would use to maintain and most likely improve our already healthy looking lawn. If you just want to have an ok looking lawn call the other big name companies. If you want to have an awesome looking lawn call the Lawn Doctor you won t be disappointed

After years of struggling with dandelions, creeping charlie and more weeds than grass and trying to apply bag fertilizer to our large front/back yards to no avail, we finally broke down to start lawn service. We are so impressed with the way our grass looks today. A carpet of green. Our technician, Chris, is always in touch if needed. Lawn Doctor is well worth the money to us!

Our property advisor, Joe Jordan, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. I learned a lot of new things from Joe. He was honest and has a knack for stellar customer service. Use Lawn Doctor in NWI, and if you get the chance, request Joe Jordan. Im sure all of their reps are just as good - Lawn Doctor of West Lake County is hands down the best in town.

I had a very publicized, accredited and nationally know lawn care service for the past four years we moved into our residence. Every year I would say I would give them one more year to improve my lawn! It never happened! I then did online research and reading of reviews to see what I could do. I read a lot about the Lawn Doctor and there was a lot of positive reviews . Also when I called them I talked with a employee who answered all my questions and worked with what I wanted done with my lawn ( every mans dream to have their lawn look like golf course lawn, lol...). I did what they recommend and advised. Now with in two months of this new service, my lawn is THICKER, GREENER, bare spots are filling in!!!! My neighbors, visitors and family had all said Steve your lawn looks really good!!!! That puts a smile on my face and should for the Lawn Doctor! Now cutting the grass I don t get upset as I walk across it thinking really! I m paying for treatment and this looks like it does! You will pay a little more then the nationally known lawn care advertisers , but the way my lawn looks now compared to the past four years, it s worth it!!! I know it s not just their treatment , and there is also the home owners part to make it work ( correct watering, height of lawn mower cutting and different directional cutting every other time you cut your grass) , but to have the correct type of chemical application and type of treatment they are the professionals!! I hope my very positive review stays the same at the end of this season, which I m sure it will if I feel this way now!

I just canceled my service with Lawn Doctor. I was the only one on my block, which consists of 6 duplexes, that had a lawn service, and my lawn is the worst looking lawn on the block. Per instructions on my invoices from the tech, I water, I had the aeration done, I had the lawn treated for fungus, and as I stated, my lawn looks the worst.

I started with Lawn Doctor last year when I bought my home and even after just a few applications my lawn looks much better. The techs and office are always professional, very happy with their service so far.

Two summers ago my front lawn looked awful. Lawn Doctor came to diagnose the problem. Obviously they knew exactly what was wrong because the treatments they suggested has made it lush and beautiful green....many people comment on how great it looks.
