We ve been using Elkhorn Lawn Care for our lawn and landscape maintenance for several years now. As part of their services, they do a monthly cleanup of our landscaping, and I wanted to give a special thanks to Pedro, Kelvin, and William. They ve been going above and beyond for our cleanups 1 of 3 of our garden beds is unused this summer, and they have been cleaning out the grass/weeds growing in the unused bed. I was so pleasantly surprised when I went out to harvest and found that I didn t have to fight around all the weeds! Thank you, Pedro, Kelvin, and William!

I sold my house and called to cancel my service last September, customer service lady said would get it done but still someone came and mowed the lawn a couple of weeks later, called again and the customer service lady said I need to send an email to cancel but didn t mention I also have to cancel my fertilization and winterization service. Today I get a bill asking to pay for fertilization on a house I no longer owned, very poor customer service and all your company wants is money. Very disappointed for a company I trusted so much. Greed is good for business, I guess.

My husband and I were trying to unload a recliner from the back of our SUV. Elkhorn Lawn was mowing our neighbors yard. One of their employees saw us struggling and came over and helped us. Thats quite a testament to the quality of employees hired by Elkhorn Lawn.

My husband and I decided to have Elkhorn Lawn Care put mulch in our yard this year since we last mulched a couple of years ago. They came out and gave us a reasonable estimate, so we decided to go with them. The mulching crew did an excellent job and took great care in putting the mulch down where I had requested it. I noticed they also had to move hoses that I had forgotten were out in my yard, but they put them right back where they belonged. They left our yard looking clean, and it looks great with the new mulch. I will definitely have them back out again for this service. Thank you Elkhorn Lawn Care and their mulching crew!

James and his Elkhorn Lawn Care team corrected our drainage and sprinkler system issues this past week. His teams were extremely professional and courteous. I am very happy with the work performed and appreciated the great customer service I received which is very rare to find these days.

BEWARE EXTRA FEES. We paid five-figures for a complete redo of the landscaping in our large back yard. The guys who came were professional and did a nice job, we have no issue with the work performed. But when we got our final bill, without explanation or warning they tacked on a 50% upcharge for our prior landscaping removal, as it was overgrown - this was despite the fact they had given us a quote seeing the property as it was. When we mentioned that the production managers were on site during the work and didnt say anything to us about needing to charge more, all we got was a sorry, this was already a compromise, it really should have been a 100% increase in labor cost. If the company cant figure out how much work a job will be beforehand and how much to charge a customer, we will not be using them again.

I have used Elkhorn Lawn care for a couple of years now and I love them. They are always here when they are supposed to be, they have competitive prices, and working with them is a breeze.

Aerated and showed up as scheduled. Price wasnt good or bad, but broke several marked sprinkler heads so made it an expensive service. Still havent heard back from operations manager in regards to broken heads. Waiting a few weeks now to hear from management. (Update) After inital review on here finally reached out by management to be told they wont do anything or even come out to look or even a call on the phone. Havent even offered an apology for broken sprinkler heads as I have already had to fix them because they wouldnt reposnd in a timely manner. I had overseeded and fertilized and need to water asap. Very poor customer service and professionalism if this is their normal response. Stay away from elkhorn lawn care, go with someone else.

Travis came to our house on time and began to turn-on our Homeowner Associations six separate sprinkler systems that irrigate the lawns for 36 homeowners. Travis quickly demonstrated his expert knowledge when programing the first sprinkler controller and testing the performance of the sprinkler heads working condition. I spent 2 hours walking, watching, and learning about our sprinkler systems as Travis described the various types of sprinkler heads and quality of manufacturers who produce the sprinklers. Travis performed his duties at an outstanding level! I highly recommend him to anyone who needs help with their lawn sprinkler system. Both men are professional, warm, friendly and proficient at doing their job. This Sunday morning, I got up early to see when the new sprinkler heads would start for the first time. The new heads started sprinkling at 5:45 a.m. this morning and ran until a few minutes after 6:35 a.m. PERFECT! The spray pattern the gents set was exactly what we needed! We have used Elkhorn Snow Removal for a while and its the first snow of 2024, we are in our 70s and cannot move heavy snow and we live on HWS Cleveland Blvd on a Snow Route to the Fire Ridge Elementary School and we have been waiting two days for snow removal....my husband had to miss a medical appointment we called yesterday and they said they would be out, we left messages last night and this morning, and then talked to someone who answers phones and still no one has arrived...holding out hope that some one shows up today...we are the only house all up and down the Blvd that has not had their sidewalks cleared....So food for thought if you need a snow removal company....tomorrow is our trash pick up and so we are hoping that maybe they can do their job and clear us today...Sorry to our neighbors who have all cleared their walks...sorry you have to walk thru the snow because Elkhorn Snow Removal which we have contracted with for a couple years...has not showed up to clear our sidewalks on this corner lot. I will give them 1 star for showing up last year...but they dont always clear front porch and by garage doors well. We have gotten an explanation from Elkhorn Snow Removal that we accept and look forward to continue to work with them in the future as they have assured us that they can clean our sidewalks and driveway in a timely manner. We appreciate their apologies and the fact that they reached out to us today and also got our home cleared of all snow and we are thankful. Everyone can have a bad day as they did...They took responsibility for their late service and thats important to us. So we do appreciate that. We could have been a bit more patient did not know difficult this snow had been to clear.

Used ELC in the past a few times because I knew one of the owners and things were great. But it seems ever since he left, things have gone downhill. Asked for an estimate to move a sprinkler head a couple weeks ago which took some time and follow up to finally get. As I was waiting to get the first estimate, I found out a valve was leaking so followed up to get an additional estimate to get it repaired and got ghosted. Their prices have been on the high side and quality isnt as great as it used to be (had them move a couple sprinkler heads last year). I still sometimes mention them as an option to people, but I highly recommend getting additional estimates and comparing them to some of the smaller outfits in town, which is what I ended up doing. I ended up getting more responsive and quality service at a fairer price from a smaller company that actually seemed to want my business.

James and Gerardo s team worked quickly and made a really tough job look easy they were on time and left the area they were working on as clean as they could. For 6 months we have been trying to figure out a BANG noise when we turned on our irrigation system and as it changed each zone. Our plumber was out to our house numerous times telling us it was ELCs issue. After numerous attempts by ELC to figure it out, they went above and beyond and contacted their vendor and their plumber to try and figure out what was going on. ELC suggested we use ProPlumb. Josh, the plumber, came out to our house and after about 30 min. FIXED the problem! Our other plumber did not pressurize the new hot water pressure tank which was installed back in January 2022 to match the pressure coming into the house. The BANG completely stopped! James at ELC and Josh at ProPlumb communicated and worked this out. They understood my frustration and as Josh put it I promise you I will fix it and he held true to his word! These guys are wonderful! Thank you again James and Josh!

Just finished up a front yard landscaping project and cant say enough great things about Elkhorn Lawn Care, James and his team! End results were beyond my expectations. I have double check that Im pulling into the right driveway every night!

We recently moved this year and when I called to schedule our sprinkler winterization our home was already scheduled (from previous homeowners). They were on time and fast the day of service. I recommend them and will continue to use them in the future.

Far better company than Heartland Lawns. More responsive and much better communication. On top of that they have been very flexible with scheduling/rescheduling and remembering to call the day before they come so I can put my dogs away. Wish I had switched sooner.

Weve had surly, weve had those who were pleasant but messed up appointment times or dates, and we have had some who just didnt bother to show up. That ended when we found Elkhorn Lawn Care. I have used Elkhorn Lawn s services for over 12 years now. They have provided their fertilization treatments and I have never had any weeds or any problems with my lawn. They are a great Company to work with! My lawn is the greenest in the neighborhood.

I hired Elkhorn Lawn Care in the winter of 2021 for leaf removal. My experience was positive and I was happy with their work. They provided me with a quote for $220 and their final invoiced amount was $220. I hired them this year for the same service, leaf removal from the same tree. Their quote came in at $225, almost the same as last year, but their final invoice and amount pulled from my bank account before being notified was $375. The fact that their estimate was off by 67% is embarrassing, especially given that they performed the same work last year. I called their office to discuss this issue and they told me that the reason for the difference between the quote and the charged amount is because too much time had passed between when they provided their quote and when they performed their work; there were more leaves on the ground. I was provided with their quote on 10/26 and they completed their work on 10/31. Elkhorn Lawn Care has offered nothing to fix this issue. I will not be hiring Elkhorn Lawn Care in the future and would not recommend using them.

This is the third season Ive used Elkhorn Lawn Care, and havent been disappointed. The 2022 crew was always polite and courteous, and they took pride in their work -- a rarity in todays service industry. Great job!

DO NOT USE. I was billed for services that never were received. Elkhorn lawn sold a book of business to Lawn Doctor who actually did the work. The accounting and billing procedures are a nightmare at Elkhorn lawn care. Beware.

Please beware of this contractor he wants 1/2 his money before any work being done. They said it is their policy. Due to other contractors that rip you off once they get your deposit by either becoming unresponsive or they disappear I have changed my policy in paying deposits this is a large Red Flag. NEVER PAY A DEPOSIT!!!!

When I started, my lawn had dead zones. Elkhorn Lawncare fixed those zones and my lawn was lush and green.

Very impressed with the responsiveness from Collin and their team whenever we needed something done whether it be leaves picked up, extra mows for parties, or a sprinkler head fixed.

They did a great job with edging and mulching. Id definitely recommend them to anyone looking for lawn care.

Ive talked with and had 2 staff members outside my house to discuss needs in my yard. So far, only one of the yard care services has been completed, but the rest of the season series is yet to come. Ive also worked very hard and in detail with Jeni to design a landscaping area with mulch, sod, stones, and borders around these areas. She indicated that this would get started toward the end of May dependent on the weather. I am looking forward to working with the company later on in the summer about seeding and a couple of other needs. The people Ive worked with personally or on the phone have been wonderfully patient with me and it is a great comfort knowing that the company is a local one and Ill be dealing with people in the area when there is a problem. Im looking forward to everything! Our landscaping job is beautiful! The only problem is with a few weeds creeping up through the mulch, but most are not difficult to pull with the treatment they are now providing. The look of the lawn and landscaping has improved so much, I often wonder if it is still our yard! Weve received MANY compliments. Our dog loves it, too. It is soft on her feet, (grass frequently between her toes). She loves to run in it, lay in it, and of course roll in it. Thank-you Elkhorn Lawns. I look forward to the results of the next project. They provided excellent diagnosis of the actual problems with my lawn by taking samples and doing tests. They were the first company I found that was willing to take the time to provide the specific services that my lawn needed, rather than just providing me with the same rubber stamp schedule of fertilization that everyone else has alway provided me. They went the extra mile to make sure my lawn receive the additional care it needed to be repaired.

Used them for aeration and overseeding. there were patches where both were missed. I put down extra grass seed of my own. Then two weeks when the new seedlings were getting started I noticed a few patches 2-3 foot of yellow and dying grass. Makes me think they spilled something while refueling their aerator. To top it all off I get an email saying if we leave them a 5 Star review Ill be entered into a contest for a Ham!?! That seems super shady right up there with paying for reviews.

I have recently used Elkhorn Lawn Care on a landscaping lighting issue I was having. My wife said that Derek came out, he was on time, courteous, friendly and fixed the problem. The lights worked for a few nights but then stopped working. Sent an email to the office the next day and Derek came back out the same day found a different issue and fixed it at no additional cost. It was very refreshing to have a company that was very responsive in taking care of the problem. I have used Elkhorn Lawn Care for about 2 years now from sprinkler repair, spring clean-up to a small landscaping project and every time their employees and quality of work has been exceptional. Keep up the good work!!

I paid a lot of money for cleaning out my landscape and planting some sod. The new sod was laid over the old sod instead of first removing the old. Same with the weeds, they werent pulled, only covered up. Bottom line: more weeds showed up very shortly and most of the sod died even though I watered as told. The sales guy who showed up refused to do anything to fix the problem. I am very disappointed with Elkhorn Lawn Care and do not recommend them.

Elkhorn Lawn Care aerated my yard today instead of my neighbors yard. Last week I aerated my yard and put down 25 lbs of seed so I was concerned that when Elkhorn aerated that it dug up my seed that I just put down. Elkhorn said that they over seeded after they aerated but my cameras disagree. It took several phone calls with Elkhorn and they finally came back and over seeded. My experience is that this company is not honest and are difficult to work with

We used Elkhorn Lawn Care for a clean up and landscaping project. Their team was professional, personable, and genuinely interested in our satisfaction. Minor issues such as a cut sprinkler line were resolved within 24 hours of my notice to them. They were flexible with desired design changes and went beyond expectations with regards to cleaning up where their equipment left damage. Overall, very happy Elkhorn Lawn Care and will give them opportunity for future business.

We have been very impressed with all aspects of the work performed at my West Omaha residence. First of all, the work done for the last three years has been amazing and we have had one of the nicest looking yards on the block since they took over service. We have pets and they always make sure to have the gate closed when they are done. I have also had the great pleasure of speaking with the extremely helpful and knowledgeable office manager (Alicia) that gets everything scheduled and setup. She went out of her way to escalate my appointment time to get my trees sprayed for Japanese beetles when they came in and started destroying my trees. Thank you so much for everything Elkhorn Lawn Care. I would never go elsewhere for my lawn care needs and services!!

Elkhorn is always very responsive to any needs that I have. If there are any weeds popping up all I have to do is make a phone call and they send a crew within a few days to come and spray. Their rates are affordable and competitive with the rest of the Omaha Metro. If you need landscaping, maintenance, yard service Elkhorn Lawncare is truly your one stop shop.

Terrible customer service. I signed up for their 6 application lawn care program. After the 4th application had to have them come back and spray for weeds because they did not do it, nor did they do the application in the back yard. They never returned for the 5th application. Had to have another company do it. Customer service is terrible and they are not reliable to do the services they were paid to do. As you can see from their responses below they always blame the customer. You admitted to me that you did not do the 4th application correctly or why would you offer a refund? You look classes in your response.

They provided us with ideas on how to save money on few areas..it made huge a difference on our final bill without compromising on beauty of the landscape. Elkhorn Lawn has been great! We have utilized their aeration, overseeing, fertilization and winterization services. They are on time, reasonably priced. The owner even Facetimed me to help walk me through the inside steps for the sprinkler winterization and draining the back flow so that our exposed pipes didnt freeze with a quick unexpected dip in temperatures. I would definitely recommend

I had them come out and winterize my irrigation system. There was an upcoming freeze coming before I decided to book my appointment and I am not too fond of winterizing an irrigation system since I am a fairly new home owner. The owner of the business FaceTimed me and walked me through the shut off process and then the following week one of their employees came out and performed the scheduled maintenance. Top quality service! I will be using them in the Spring.

Elkhorn Lawn care contacted us with concerns of a freeze occurring prior to my set appointment to get the sprinklers blown out. They had someone come to our home to do a quick check to make sure the freeze wouldnt damage the pipes. They do a great job getting the system winterized and also fixed an issue with my controller during their trip.

I have been using Elkhorn for many years . They are by far the best lawn care company in Nebraska. I love their service .... their customer service is Fing awesome. When you call, ask for Alicia, not only is she Fing awesome, she will take care of you. Every time I call and talk to her, she has always treated me with respect and with the best friendly service. Their attention to detail is fantastic. Not only is the owner and Alicia great .....but there entire team is fantastic. Elkhorn Lawn Care takes care of our holiday lights every year. They always do a fabulous job and respond to any problems very quickly.

I worked w/ James and the crew of Elkhorn Lawn for Christmas lights this year. James was a great help in helping design a layout. The crew was professional and fun bunch of folks. Would recommend them highly.

They came out and only did half the job then wanted me to pay more than I was quoted for putting down grass seed and straw. They even came back again and still did not get the job done after I had sent the guy pictures of exactly what needed to be planted still. I guess he couldnt tell for himself where the bare spots were in the lawn? This is the 2nd time I had tried their service this year. The first time they were supposed to remove landscaping rock and I had to call them back for that as well...and they were still pulling out rocks when they came out to do grass seed. Do not use this service if you need the job done right.

I have to say Alex and his team are awesome people to work with and very friendly. The service they provide is fantastic, cant say enough about what they do. Highly recommended.

Elkhorn Lawn Care is responsive, knowledgeable and has a great team of professionals working for them. My wife & I have been thrilled with their irrigation and tree care programs and look forward to using them on our next landscaping project.

Took a couple trips out to get it working right. But in all fairness, the system is 22 years old, and they were able to prolong the life so as to buy us some time until we can get the new system installed at a later date, or at least through this season. They worked with me on pricing for the added repairs. They will be installing my new system when we are ready.

Hired this company based on good reviews. They came out using a large machine (think golf cart sized wheels) and damaged an area of my lawn along the side of the house going to the back yard on a walkout lot (yes a decent incline) . A large machine like that should not have been used if its wheels are just going to spin damaging that entire area of the lawn. They were immediately notified of the damage and came out and put seed on the damaged area and offered nothing more. I got an invoice for full price of the service despite the damage later that day after they remedied the issue by putting grass seed over the damaged areas of the lawn. I think they could have done more ie offer a discount on the services considering damage done, offer to repair area with sod, etc. Overall a very responsive company though! I appreciated that.

Elkhorn Lawn Care just installed a dry River Bed for me. I called them last week and asked if they could put down 18 tons of River Rock that I purchased and had delivered from the Rock Quarry out by Venice. They had 4 guys out in less than a week. They did an AWESOME job!!! Thank you guys!! I really appreciate it!!

I am extremely picky about my lawn. Elkhorn Lawn Care has taken care of our lawn for 7 years and has been absolutely great. They have also handled our Christmas lights and occasional snow removal for the last several years as well. We have had very few problems, and if there is a problem, James has always responded immediately and has the issue resolved within 24 hours including weekends.

Im amazed at how careful your people are in doing a good job....the mulch crew worked at my house today and everything was done just the way I asked and more...your cleanup crew did a great job last week too, as does your mowing crew that stopped by today and last week too (there is a notorious problem area in my backyard grass that they were really careful with a week ago since the lawn was soaked last Monday from rain... and I saw your guys get off their mower and walk it through the muddy spots so as to not tear it up). Good help is hard to find these days but you guys seem to be able to find them and hire them.

Elkhorn replaced our concrete patio with a paver patio, added a retainer wall and gas fire pit. They also performed landscaping around our property. I was not able to use this company, because I couldnt make it past the receptionist who, obviously never entered my info in their system in the first place for an estimate. So, I called back, again and they finally gave me an estimate after I gave them all of my info, again. I called back with some questions and the receptionist had a very poor attitude and was highly unprofessional and snotty. If I am already having this many issues, no thanks!

My family and I recently moved to Omaha from Charlotte, NC and I was looking for a lawn care company that could handle everything (lawn care, outdoor lighting, sprinkler system, tree and bush care) for our home. Elkhorn Lawn Care was prompt in getting back to me and scheduled an appointing to discuss my needs immediately. After meeting with James, he was able to provide me a quote on everything I wanted the next day and the prices were reasonable. They have done very good work and if they were not able to finish something, they communicated with me on when they would be back out to complete. I have been very pleased with their work and would recommend them to everyone.

Trent and his guys are amazing! Trent came out to help repair my lawnmower after I flooded the engine. The lawn looks awesome too. Great customer service and they will go above and beyond for you!

Finally fired them today. Couldnt take it anymore trying to get a call back and trying to get service. Told them that the lawn was burning up, no one would come out, told them that the sprinklers werent working, no one would come out. Their mowers were going through the lawn like it was a race and tearing up turf on every turn. No one would come out and look at it. Finally ended up getting a second opinion and decided to change companies. Dont expect customer service from them. They simply dont provide it.

After half a season they destroyed my lawn when i mention this they quit! If you care how your yard looks AVOID this company! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY FIND A DIFFERENT COMPANY!

After contacting a couple different companies to put up our Christmas lights, I was pleased with the knowledge, product, staff and pricing of Elkhorn Lawn Care. I mainly worked with Tara (Office manager) and Alex (Owner). They were very helpful as I was trying to decide which lights to put up. They also listened to what I wanted done, where the other companies quoted what they wanted to put up. I also found their pricing to be very fair.
