Weed Man Lawn Care in Greer

I ve been harassed for months now from this office. Constant calls and texts. I live in California and have never once even googled this business or anything similar. I have blocked 4-5 numbers so far and they keep calling with new numbers. Please find a better way to market your business. I would never even consider doing business after this.

Don t trust this company. I emailed them explaining my experience with one of their employees on the road going 20-25 mph over the speed limit only to throw the finger my way and brake check me. He must ve had a bad day but terrible way to represent the company. It seems someone else has had the same experience with him as I did. This man needs to find a profession that doesn t involve him putting other peoples lives in danger.

Great company. Been with them for 4 years.

These people should be fined for telephone harassment. I have received no less than 15 voicemails from them trying to sell me lawn care in the last several days. We went in a different direction for service yet they call, call, call. When you block one number, they just call on another. Do not make the mistake of allowing them to give you a quote. They are not receptive to hearing the word no.

Ive used Weedman for several years. Id summarize by saying that their service is good enough if you dont feel like doing it yourself. The price is ok, but I dont think they do any better than the results I can achieve on my own. Their overseeding does absolutely nothing in my yard. The first year I complained about the seed not coming up. The next year they doubled up on the aerating and seeding and still the results were very poor. This year I told them to skip, bought my own bags of Titan, and it came up amazingly with no aerating. They seem to put more effort in the front as it remains relatively weed free. The back yard, on the other hand, is always loaded with weeds. Other lawn care services Ive used left notes detailing their observations and suggestions on what to do to improve the lawn. They offer no such advice, so I think they just go through the motions of putting down the scheduled chemical and move on to the next house. Good enough for now. Maybe Ill care more in the future and will either change services or do it myself again.

We ve been with Weed Man, as one of its first customers, since it was a new business many years ago. We trust the environmentally-safe products they use and are satisfied those who apply them. Shady outfit, come at staggered intervals. Will lie to you about getting back out after a treatment and weeds still growing that they will send a tech out to retreat the next week. That ends up being a no call no show, do not use this company they suck bad!!! Now a little more than a month after canceling my service these clowns keep blowing up my phone and calling me from different numbers, one guy called me yesterday asked if it was me and promptly hangs up! How childish these jokers are, well guess what next harassing call I get I am getting in touch with the authorities and getting my complaint of harassment on record so keep up your little game.

Not about the company itself, but when you have drivers that are aggressive, speeding way to fast down two lane roads and trying to run cars off the road, swerve around them into oncoming traffic and sitting so close behind them to the point that you can barely see your truck in the rear view mirror, you re too close. You never know whose family is in the car ( I had my newborn in the car). I would never hire a company that allows this. I m sure this review will go nowhere, but it just makes me think twice about a company that hires and retains employees like this.

My wife and I have been very happy with our Weedman lawn care service. We had a reasonably sized lot that they helped us keep growing and healthy across a lot of hard and, at times, schizophrenic South Carolina weather. Weed man kept us informed about how they were treating the lawn and what we needed to do to keep it healthy. We are grateful for their services.

Weed Man has been taking care of our bermuda grass lawn for a number of years. This years lawn looks better than any previous year partly due to the consistent high quality of their work building on the work from each previous year. If we see a problem Weed Man is quick to address the issue and offer a solution. For a couple of years, in an effort to save money, I tried fertilizing and putting out pre-emergent/post-emergent myself on a schedule. That proved to be penny wise and pound foolish! The results from my work were terrible! We highly recommend Weed Man! Your neighbors will thank you and your lawn will thank you!

Have used the services of Weed Man for almost 2 years. Our lawn was totally destroyed by an incompetent landscaper in the spring and early summer of 2023. We found a new landscape company who recommended Weed Man to us and we tried the service and our newly seeded lawn took off. For the entire winter of early 2024 we had the greenest lawn in the neighborhood and took great pride in that fact. This year has been a challenge because of the extreme heat this summer. We added extra treatment for the Brown areas and now that the extreme heat seems to be gone and we ve gotten some rain the lawn is starting to green up again. Caring for a lawn in the south is a huge undertaking and if you have a big yard or just not a lot of time or the ability I would highly recommend giving Weed Man a try.

The people are friendly.......not clear in detail! Great promises......wait until after 3 services then you will see the difference! So dissapointed! No noticeable change. I have terminated my contract with them. Sadly out of all the money spent!

We started using Weed Man 3 years ago at a newly built house with a new lawn. Their yearly lawn treatment plan helped keep a schedule automatically, but they still communicated with us about our services as they were performed. Over time (and it does take time with regularly scheduled service), we have a beautiful looking yard. In fact, the neighbors have asked us how we got rid of the weeds and how we have achieved such a beautiful lawn. Of course our answer was Weed Man!

Ive been using Weed Man Lawn Care in Greer, SC for a few years. I used to handle my own lawn care but the weeds started getting ahead of me and it was getting worse. Weed Man had been recommended to me so I tried them and glad I did, they do very good work! I think the back bone of any company is their customer service. When I do have a specific need, or a question, they are quick to respond and are very helpful. I have to commend Kelli, I had an issue come up and she was quick to resolve it, going above my expectations. I deeply appreciate her help and its one of the reasons I like working with Weed Man.

I called and got service started again. Its been two months maybe on the restart and there has been a huge improvement already. I was skeptical at first, but it truly makes a huge difference! Update April 24 We ve given weedman a 2nd chance and gave another 2-3 months for improvement. The manager was kind and seemed to genuinely make an effort to make changes, but it ended up being an unfulfilled word. The lawn actually became more infested with weeds in these last couple of months more than ever before. ( wish I took photos before I mowed the lawn) We ve officially canceled our services & hired a new lawn care team. Although I m grateful for the friendliness that they relayed, it did not hold any true depth to their word for improvement. It s great that they re kind but that alone will not get you far if you can t follow up with quality work. I hope they seek improvement for the sake & growth of their business

Weed Man has been treating my lawn for several years. All bermuda and I keep it cut to 3 inches (sharp mower blades). No irrigation system which actually makes the roots go deep. Highly recommended.

We were with weed man for 4 years and they were good at first but in the last year they would show up for less than 10 minutes and maybe do one pass over the middle of my yard and my yard got worse and worse. I called and was told they have cameras on the trucks and would review and call me back. They never called back so I went to another company. Now they have called me twice offering to do almost anything to get my business back. I don t get it. What they re offering to do now, I already paid them to do last year and they didn t do it. I know that it s hard to hire good employees but I would not go back to them.

I used Weedman considering they would do a better job than other providers however I was left stunned looking at my lawn after 3 applications. I have never seen my lawn look as aweful as it looks. No idea what they are spraying but my lawn went from looking a B grade to E grade with tons of weeds which I have never had ever before. They give the excuse of not having enough treatment last fall but I had the complete round of treatments until late fall before I started using them in Feb23. I would not recommend their services.

They don t complete the job and their prices are ridiculous.

This company did not provide the service that was discussed in the original quote. Then, when my husband called back to discuss the issue, they offered a promotional deal. My husband said he would think about it and call back to let them know if we would continue with service. However, they continued to service the lawn when we werent home without our permission or without us providing any payment method. Then they billed us and subsequently continue to harass us for payment for services we did not request. It is a scam. Would never recommend such an unethical and unprofessional company.

Spoke to Calen about monthly service. During this conversation I was quoted a MONTHlY cost of $106.75. He stated that crab grass control and fertilizer may happen on two different days, but monthly cost is still $106.75. The come out and treat on 7.10.23. Today I received three separate invoices all dated for today s date of service but separate invoice numbers. Then i get alerts from my bank notifying me of three charges from The Weedman. Charged me three separate charges if $106.75 for one service trip to my house and refuses to refund my money! Worst customer service ever. Will be filing with the BBB even though they cannot be accredited. Will definitely research reviews more carefully from now on.

Weed Man has taken control of my weed issue. I could not do it myself. I am very pleased with the service and results!

I hired Weedman for 5 months this spring.They promised results within a couple weeds , meaning weeds would die. The weeds never died and more invasive weeds set in as well. So now I have a lawn of nothing but weeds. They also tried to charge extra (double) for some of their services without permission and I had to argue to get the charge removed. And my small yard they offered to aerate , feed and seed for an additional fee of $800!! I wasted so much $ and absolutely nothing has changed, my lawn has gotten worse.

I was shocked by the results of just 3 months of lawn care with these guys. They know how to grow grass and kill weeds all at the same time. They actually communicate with the client, they show up on time, and they pay attention to every detail. I definitely recommend this company over any other company in the Upstate of S.C. My yard now looks like the grounds at the Biltmore castle!!!! If youre not using WEEDMAN, then you are making a mistake!!!!!

I had my entire property treated by Weedman for a year with no results. I also had them re-seed and aerate with very little results. They did not punch enough holes and took up huge clumps of grass and soil. Of course I was told I did not water enough. STAY AWAY from this company!!!! They offered no solution but an up charge. I was told this was guaranteed and they did not honor their guarantee. Whatever you do, DO NOT do business with this company.

Ive used Weedman Lawn Care in two different cities and have been very pleased. They systematically weed and feed my lawn and will make additional weed-killing visits at no additional cost. My lawn looks WAY better than when I was with Brand X.

We used weed man and cancelled service in May 2023 because they couldn t ever get our weeds under control. They had it in notes that we cancelled, never gave us another service, yet for some reason never cancelled the charges and then sent us to collections when we refused to pay for services never rendered. They were extremely rude and condescending and just kept lying to try to keep our business when they couldn t do their job to start with. We ended up having to pay just to save our credit from being affected but definitely don t recommend Weed Man. They aren t professional and didn t help our lawn anyways. Edit: I called the number given in response to my review. Was told a certain manager needed to call me back. Never heard from them- it s been over a week. Instead someone just tried to schedule a new service with us in January as if we never cancelled services at all. Again. Months later.

Bad service and unethical business practices. I cancelled my service with them and they continued to bill me, twice while they had my card on file and twice even after complaining and going as far as cancelling my credit card. Now they ve sent it to collections. I would have been fine paying for the service if they d actually done anything. I hired a new company and shockingly the weeds that Weed Man couldn t resolve, disappeared.

Ive only had 1 treatment so far. Not sure what they use exactly, but MY weeds are alive and well.

I called to get an estimate on my lawn. They did come out and measure my lawn to get pricing. The only thing was they wanted to do a preamergent on my lawn that day. I told them no that it would kill the perennial rye grass. I said that I would look over everything and give them a call if I needed them to come out for treatments. This is when the calls started everyday, 3 to 4 times a day. I asked them to make a note which said I would call them if needed. Everytime someone called I told them that right now I did not need their service and if I wanted their service in the future I would contact them. This is after answering questions like, why did you call us?, if everything is working for you why did you call us?, if your lawn looks nice than why did you have us come out? Try to tell someone that everything was going well with my lawn and if I see that I need your service I will call you was/is the hardest thing to try to convey to a person who does not listen. Why on earth would I contact a company who has people that dont listen and comprehend what the customer is trying to convey to them.

Two years of service close to $2000.00 later my st augustin up close to the house and by the driveway is finally coming back after being nearly wiped out from applications. The front of the yard looks far worse than it did when they started. Ive called many times; stopped service and gave them a second chance and still see thousands of weeds in whats left of the bermuda front. They dont tell you up front that there are a plethora of weeds that the do not or cannot treat for.....

They called me and gave me a price for my back yard. Then they send me an invoice that is double the price they gave me over the phone. So I said no I dont want to pay that price have a nice day. Then a week later the same person calls me and gives me the cheaper price, so I sign up and again they send me another invoice double the amount. They keep saying we dont know how this person got to this price, well thats not my fault and this is how they treat customers. Check your invoices and bills when using these crooks. They wanted to treat my grass, but they are just snakes in the grass lol

I had Weedman aerate and over seed with shade fescue. 70% of the grass died within one month. In spring it was just bare dirt. I was told many different and conflicting things about why the grass wouldn t grow. I was told that it needed more sun even though it was shade fescue. I was told that the soil needed to be amended, but they tested the soil and amended it themselves. I was told that I didn t water it and I was told that I didn t cut it properly. The grass that I planted myself was shade fescue and it grows just fine. However, when they came out to visit I believe they fertilized it and came back a couple of days later and fertilized it again. Subsequently all of my grass turned yellow as if it were burned from over fertilization and started to die. I used the service for a year before I canceled. Lawn Care can be very expensive but not worth it if there are no results as promised.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. Called to ask for a quote to make sure they could help with what we needed (we had weeds in an area we are trying to grow grass with seed). I told them I would call them back to set something up so they could come out and we could discuss service about that area. They went ahead and scheduled a visit themselves while I was not at home and out of town (I never called back and confirmed nor asked for an appointment!) and did not treat half of our yard due to our fence and when I called and asked about our other area that we discussed on the phone they said they couldnt help us but could recommend a landscaper. Then had the audacity to charge us when we 1. Did NOT request the service 2. They only treated half of the lawn & 3. Refused to treat the area which is what I called and talked about in the first place which is why I wanted lawn care to begin with. I called and asked to talk to a manager 2 times and sent an online request and they never reached out. They had their receptionist call back and said that she could cancel service but we still owed the bill. Absolutely ridiculous management. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

These guys were great about my refund. I had contracted with another company when Weedman did a treatment. I asked for a refund and they were real Pros about it. I will use them again!!!

Going door to door in neighborhoods that clearly state no soliciting is not acceptable... Then you speed off and wrecklessly drive through the same neighborhood because no one wants your education.. poor business poor attitude, and when I used you last year it was very poor service.

Different technician every time. I asked to make sure to let ne know when they were coming so I could be present they just showed up. Technician showed up and didnt let me know he was there until he was leaving. More weeds after service than before. They preach a good game but have yet to deliver. Their aeration service looked good.

After one application my yard was already greener and more alive. I started in June, which is not the best time to start, and its already effective. The pricing was affordable and theyre very good at communicating their stops. I never wonder when theyre coming.

They are really nice people people but that doesnt change the fact that I had weed man for 2 years and my lawn looks just as bad as it started. I prepaid for the year and weed man decided to add additional charges throughout the year. Therefor making the pre-paid plan a complete scam!

I have been using Weed Man for around 3 years. During this time I had changed to a Wide Blade Zoysia Lawn. There was a struggle especially in the back yard keeping it growing. I followed their instructions along with some guidance from Clemson. I think it was a learning process for Weed Man to figure out how to address issues with this type of lawn. They came up with a 5 step process which I had used last year and this year. All this has failed and though we had done all that was asked of us it still struggled. Today I canceled my service as no one has come out since the middle of May ?? My neighbor across the street who has a Fescue lawn has also not seen anyone do service at her home for the same time period, and to be honest I would say 75% of her lawn is just weeds ! The strange part is during this 3 month laps in service my lawn is starting to look so much better so we will see what the fall and spring brings. I will update this review as needed. It is sad I spent so much Money with this company who I had put my trust in only to be let down :-(

Great service for your lawn

They came as they said but I felt being told what issues I had with weeds, was not worth it since the problem with goose grass and others never went away after being a customer for quite some time. I cancelled and feel like I can do my own just as well.

I cancelled the service with them. Poor quality of service. I paid to them for weed control and I am removing weeds by myself because there was no changes to the grass weeds. I called the office informed about the dissatisfaction of service. They scheduled the service, charged me twice and didnt see any improvements at all. Even the way they are handling customers also are bad. Front office handled the call in a professional manner. But the manager, she is such an unprofessional lady. From my lane of houses, 3 of my friends were using weedman and we all cancelled the service with them. If you have an option, then dont go with weedman. Go with some one else , you will get better quality for a cheaper rate.

Its only been 6 months since we signed up, but the treatments seem to be working. Well see as time goes on!

The problem I have with Weedman is they dont control the broad based weeds in your yard. When the technician comes out they are only focused on applying the next round of application and mostly avoid doing any spraying of weeds. They also switch technicians frequently, which is a problem when you have both warm and cool grasses, so the new technician is completely unaware of your yard and treats both grasses the same. Ive been waiting now for over two weeks for them to apply my next application round because they didnt have the right chemicals on their truck to treat my centipede grass. They also recently increased their price by over 30%.

This is my first time using Weed man and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone that needs yard care! They are on top of everything; they call you if they miss you at home, they are very informed of what they do, they will leave a note on what they have done and I am very, very pleased with them! I just cant say it enough, TRY WEED MAN, YOU WILL LOVE THEM!!

I used this company several years ago and was unhappy with the level of service I received. I still had large dead spots in my lawn, so I cancelled their service. Since then they continually call and harass me with sales calls every fall even though I asked to be removed from their list. Today I received a call from one of their salesman named Joe, who was very argumentative and rude. These people are horrible. Joe also needs to be talked about his arguing with prospective customers on the phone. I would not recommend this company.

I had full service about 2 years ago.Bought a living social deal and supposedly they sprayed pre-emergent.Its been over three weeks and looks like nothing was sprayed.Called them and they said they only respray repeat current customers.WASTE OF MONEY!!!!

We have been using Weed Man now for a couple of years. We have had a wonder experience with them. The services they say they provide, they very much do with quality and professionalism and our lawn looks wonderful! I am looking forward to expanding the services we will use from them. Had to cut ties with Weed Man. I had them last year and was very happy with them. This year, however, my yard got away from them and they had no idea how to get rid of the weeds. I gave them a couple months and they tried multiple times. The people were friendly and acknowledged the problem, just couldn t fix it, although I still paid full price for services I was not getting. I do not recommend.

Called to get started with their lawn program got a quote and was told someone would be out with in 5 days. Nobody ever showed up and not even as much as a phone call! Called another company and they sent someone out the same day to measure and go over everything plus they were $16 per treatment cheaper. I would not recommend Weedman. If they cant show up or call when they say they will they obviously dont need need new customers or there would be nothing, but problems down the road with this company!

Weeds took over. I gave weedman 1 entire year to help turn my yard from mostly OK to great but neither the front/back yard turned for the better. Weeds completely took over the edge of my front lawn near the road and started creeping into the good grass. For the back yard I believe they over applied a treatment in streaks a cross my backyard causing the grass to die shortly after sprouting in distinct lines (same direction they applied treatments). Top turf charges less and seem to have better results from what Ive seen.

Weed Man does a great job! They have controlled weeds and kept our grass looking nice! Easy to reach and timely response to any questions or concerns.

We have utilized them for several years after some mediocre results from another service. Their staff is knowledgable and outgoing and pleasant to deal with. We back up to a farm and blowing winds tend to spread weeds. We have been virtually free of weeds. I would recommend them to anyone needing their services.

We had fantastic results with Weed Man. We had very stubborn weeds which are called Fesue and other companies said they could get rid of them but the could not. Product Weed Man used took care of these and they are all dying in a lot less time than we even expected. We are told that our lawn looks better than anyone else s in the neighborhood and it was just put in in November. We are extremely pleased with his services and would not use anyone else.

We went with this company to support local. We paid upfront for the entire year because we put our trust in them. The job they did was horrible, still a yard full of weeds. Every single time they would tell me that it takes time, and I understand that! I was told by different people what they would be doing to help the grass grow, and on several occasions they told me different stories. We still have mostly weeds! The last straw for me is they missed 5 different appointments!! Didn t bother calling me, I had to call them! The last time I called I was told, I don t even have you down. Seriously!! Very disappointed in this company!!! Look at other companies, do not put your trust in this one!

Great people - my most important thing at the time I transferred to their service was the fact they could bill monthly on a draft. My prior company could not to that. The service has consistently been outstanding with extra work in non contract areas every so often. They know their plants and help me with identification over the phone with some very strange descriptions.

I used this company several years ago before hiring a guy that does everything for me. Now this company has called my cell phone more than at least 10 times in the last 2 days. I have answered and told them twice to remove me from their list. Do not do business with them unless you want to be harressed after ending service.

Currently enjoying the fescue grass Weedman overseeded on my zoysia lawn last fall. They came back a month later to overseed my fescue way past the time for effective germination. Id think long and hard before trusting them with your lawn.

I contacted this company to get a quote on some possible yard work. I explained clearly that I only wanted work done on the front yard. I received a generic looking template response from Chelsie Lee that asked me questions about my backyard. The person did not read my initial request . Further into the back and forth I quickly realized I was getting no information like I wanted. I send an email and clearly asked that a tech be scheduled to look at the front yard and give me a quote. I received no response after that. This person failed to respond to a possible new customer. Therefore, I will NEVER contact this company again. I hope you have plenty of business that you can just throw away possible new customers like that. *****(Edit: Put another star because someone did actually follow up. Ill give you that much. I hope Chelsie got some training on following up with potential clients. Sorry John but the first impression raises serious concerns and my intuition says stay away. The reason I dont do phone calls btw is so I can track exactly what is being said back and forth. Emails provide the best way to do that. Ive been told things by sales people on phone calls that was completely untrue only to find it was my word against theirs. I trust you understand. )

I was reluctant to sign up with a lawn care company due to some concerns I have heard from other friends who had. But I could not be happier with Weed Man and how they have changed my lawn. Dustin walked me through the entire process and helped me understand exactly what the plan was for improving the health and appearance of my lawn. Have had Weedman since we moved in 2 years ago and have the yard everyone envys. Weedman was recommended by our landscaper as she uses them as well. If a large company uses Weedman then that say a lot. Great customer service and our technician Randel is awesome!!

We have been with weed man for three or four years and have always been happy with them until this year, when our technician was promoted and we had a new technician. Not sure if this new guy wasn t trained properly or if he is just unethical, but he left invoices for my home and at least two other neighbors that I know of even though he didn t actually treat our yards. When we contacted management, they sent the same technician out a few days later to retreat even though we said we no longer wanted this technician servicing our home. In addition to that, the technician did not apologize or even address the matter. He just acted like nothing happened. Us and our neighbor s have cameras outside our homes, so we felt like we had proof that he didn t actually do the work the first time around. In my opinion, he should ve been fired immediately. Management still expects us to pay the invoice, although they did promise a new technician in the future. Definitely don t think we should have to pay the invoice after this whole ordeal. We will be firing weed me in and going with a competitor, and I am pretty sure several of my neighbors will be doing the same thing.

We gave been using Weedman for over two years. They are prompt, curteous, and do a good job. We have a dog and the products used are as pet friendly as they can get. Typically you just need to wait for the application to dry, usually 15 minutes, before its safe for your pet. ***This is application dependant, so always ask. Our dog has never had an issue. Our grass is growing well.
