We have a pond which is fed by a spring along the bank. Luke cut the bank back to a 3 to 1 slope to stabilize the bank and further stabilized it with a creative very natural boulder water feature. He did an outstanding job in creating a beautiful environment, Including nice sound of falling water. He avoided the all too common straight row of rocks lined on both sides by boulders. It took twists and turns. Luke was very easy to work with. Hiring him was akin to commissioning a piece of art a leap of faith. He delivered. I can recommend Luke without reservation. Would definitely hire him again. Second review years later: I was one of Reedy River s earliest customers years ago, am now one of their most recent, and will not hesitate to engage them in the future. Luke is a talented designer. He quickly sees features of the land which warrant improvements and translates those into both a practical and aesthetic plan, with our input. He has an excellent understanding of the important elements which are factored in to a solid plan. Jordan is skilled and experienced in project management. He is honest and a good communicator. Like Luke, he is very easy to work with, and emphasizes customer satisfaction. The entire team is professional and dedicated to executing the plan properly. We wish to give shout outs to Kyle, John and Mike who often went the extra mile to keep us informed and pleased. The only difficulty we had were delays resulting from poor workmanship of their subcontracted bricklayer. They changed to a new brick mason during the project which included a large amount of complex retaining walls and steps. The concerning areas were reworked to our satisfaction. We very much enjoyed working with Reedy River from start to finish and recommend them without hesitation.

Called on Luke at Reedy River Landscaping to properly landscape my new construction home and put in Arbor Vitae on one side of fencing in back as an adjunct visual security feature. The just finished the front project and it s a wonderful transformation and they revamped the new sprinkler system so that everything was watering the correct areas at the correct times. Before they did this they had to come after Helene hit and clear out all the limbs that were broken off and fell in my backyard from next door. Then they came back and repaired the fence that was crushed. They have been very responsive and communicated promptly and continuously about scheduling and then sent pictures so I could see the finished work. Everyone always prompt in answering any questions or issues I had. Looking forward to having the Arbor Vitae done! The outside front and back will be so beautiful!

Our new home purchase needed much help in directing water down & away from the house & retaining walls. The crew from Reedy River Landscape removed bushes & sidewalk then installed downspouts, drainage pipes & surface drains They left the jobsite clean, with new mulch & seed , & we cannot thank them enough!!

Final results please the wife. . Great people to work with. Did some upselling when they saw little things that would make a nice difference. That was greatly appreciated as not from the region.

We selected Reedy River Landscaping from the internet and it was a fabulous choice. They are professional, creative, and responsive. They always answered questions quickly and in a way that was understandable. The crew doing the installation was outstanding and worked during the blistering heat. The work looks great and there are people stopping all the time to admire the work. They made sure we were happy with the work before they left the site. Ive never written an online review before (good or bad) but felt like I needed to write one here since these guys did a great job. Very responsive and transparent in every regard. I have an extensive, multi-phase project for which they just finished phase 1 and they exceeded my expectations. If this is your first landscape project and you are trying to find someone who will be patient, give you actual good advice based on your goals, and help you make tradeoffs to fit your budget; pick these guys! Ill add photos when my second phase is completed.

I love giving shout-outs when shout-outs are earned. Some months back, I met with owner, Luke, surrounded by dirt and weeds in our wooded backyard near Paris Mountain State Park. We had had some landscaping done in the past, but knew we had erosion issues and we wanted to create a space where our three boys could play. Luke sketched a proposal complete with irrigation, lighting, plantings and hardscapes he even helped us dream up a special energy-burning space for our boys with an in-ground trampoline. We had challenges with rain and weather, tough roots, and rocky soil, but Luke and his team never quit. They were responsive when we had concerns and always wanted to make sure we were happy along the way. I love that the entire team seemed to care about our project. The final product is beautiful and soooo much improved from the dusty, weed-filled beginning. We look forward to entertaining and maintaining our beautiful yard and we can t wait to see how the plants and trees grow through the seasons. Reedy River Landscapes is highly recommended! I have no hesitations in recommending them to my friends and neighbors.

Luke, Jordan, and Theo did a great job with the design and installation of our new patio, firepit and sitting wall. They handled the entire project including lighting and landscaping. Their knowledge and experience were invaluable in helping us achieve our vision. They were totally committed to keeping us happy throughout the entire process. We highly recommend their services.

I had Reedy River do an extensive landscaping project on our home and they did an outstanding job. It involved multiple flagstone walkways, stone stairs, drainages, and retaining walls. it involved fencing in the garden, placing a safety fence above the existing retaining wall, three gates and a stairway from the courtyard to the garden above the retaining wall. It also involved extensive plantings of plants around the entire property, greenery within the flagstone walkways, and a number of trees. Lasting it included mulching the entire area. From design to implementation everything was excellent. Luke did an outstanding job on design, Theo and Josh did excellent stonework and plantings, and Jamaica did an outstanding job on the fence. Any issues that came up were dealt with satisfactorily. It is over 4 moths later and all but a handful of plantings are thriving. I highly recommend them and will likely contact for some follow up.

Reedy River Landscapes just finished up a large project for me. It included many plantings, stone work, installing new side walk and lighting., It is so beautiful.......and I could not be happier. The crew arrived each day on time, explained to me what they would be doing that day, and answered all of my questions. They showed great care in cleaning up at the end of each day, as well. Id like to thank everyone at Reedy River Landscapes for being so professional, dedicated, and responsive. I will gladly recommend them to anyone, and everyone, who is wanting to beautify their yards.

Luke, the owner of Reedy River Landscapes, was very responsive to my initial request for an estimate on a landscaping project(steps w/ a catch basin drainage). He visited my property and helped me to refine what I really wanted and needed. He offered many good suggestions, but the final details were my decision. We had to wait several months for them to start, but when they did, they completed it quickly. The installers were very polite and worked long and hard to complete the project to my wifes satisfaction. They answered all our questions and were willing to do almost anything . (i.e.) The final stone laid was a PA blue stone. When it arrived on the last day, I mentioned I really wanted a larger piece and a different shape. The supervisor assured me that it would be no problem for them to take it back and get another. We ended up with larger stone and the right shape.

I would highly recommend the Reedy River Landscape team for any of your lawn/landscaping needs. They are responsive, professional, timely, and ultimately want to meet your needs and make you happy as the customer. We had a steep slope in our back yard and they put a beautiful natural looking rock wall to flatten the lawn. They are great to work with and highly recommend using them!

Short version: I highly recommend Reedy River Landscapes! Longer version: Reedy River Landscapes contracted to transform our backyard from a weedy useless wasteland to a terraced, relaxing sanctuary. Over the course of about 3 weeks, they regraded our yard; built beautiful stone retaining walls, a large sitting area, and a spectacular water feature; installed lighting and irrigation; and did some basic planting. Company owner Luke Steffensmeier drew up the original vision and site supervisor Aaron and his right-hand man Jeff executed the plan. Jordan guided Aaron and Jeff through the installation of the water feature. They consulted with my wife and me at every step and corrected anything that wasnt in line with our expectations. Aaron was especially conscientious and came over to our house after quitting time on several occasions to correct details that were nagging him. These guys arent cheap, but the quality they delivered has left us extremely satisfied. Because the work was done during peak heat in August and to save a little money, weve opted to do a lot of the planting ourselves this fall.

We are completely thrilled with the job Reedy River Landscapes did for us. We had major drainage issues (front and back), and our front yard needed a total and complete overhaul. Luke and his team created a beautiful landscape for my small backyard where three very tall and large Cypress trees once stood. I appreciate their removing trees that were substandard and replacing them without my having to ask them to do so. However, I did have one small plant that failed to thrive and Luke indicated that they did not replace sick plants, only dead ones (lesson learned). However, he did say to give it time and sure enough it s beginning to grow. I also appreciate Luke stopping by when I had concerns regarding the shock my field-grown trees were going through (from being transplanted) and/or questions about the watering system. I recommend Luke and his company for their their great design and response to customer concerns.

The experiences I had with every single individual at Reedy River Landscapes was better than I could have dreamed of. Being new to the area I was basing my criteria for a top notch company solely on their website. I phoned Luke, the owner, and received a call back that day. At that time he set up an appointment, he was prompt, and his delivery of the design was timely and beautiful. His crew is polite, beginning with Jordan, and not excluding Chris and Mike who were also on this job site. Clean, happy, and hard working crew members was what I witnessed first hand for the two weeks that they were here. Also, I was told the start - stop dates and those all came true too. The landscaping is unique and beautiful and I am proud to show my family and friends my gorgeous back yard.

Once the check is cashed, the service stops! In April I contacted Luke regarding installing fescue sod in my front yard. He and his team had remarkable customer service at the beginning. They were super responsive to email, phone calls, and were very friendly on the work site. However, once the job was complete; the customer service went as downhill as my sod did. 4-5 weeks after install, patches of the sod began to die. I was following the watering instructions the team gave me to the letter. When I asked questions via email, there would be 1-2 days before a response that offered little more than I dont know what is going on. There were no solutions offered other than to install new sod over the dead patch (which they did not cover the cost of). Another 2-3 weeks go by and new parts of the yard begin dying. At this point, the emails are taking 3-4 days for a reply and I am the one suggesting solutions, while none are being offered. I turned to a turf management company for answers. Turns out a fungus was killing my lawn. I had zero fungus problems prior to the sod being installed; the product that was installed brought a fungus onto my property. The turf management company did 2 rounds of fungicide, but it was too late. 80% of the lawn is now dead and the response from Luke and his team, Well, its a living organism, I dont know what to tell you. Absolute waste of $4,500. Had they offered ANY solution at no cost to me or seemed to stand by their work whatsover I would have used them to put sod in my backyard as well as used them to install an irrigation system. If you do use them for a project, get a contract.

Luke and his team are great. He restored a dormant sprinkler system that I had installed some 20 years ago. He met with me, discussed what I planned, offered several suggestions as to how to go forward, each with price. His team was there when they said they would be there, if something came up, or there could be a delay, Luke would always call to keep me informed. My project had some, what ifs and if that should occur there could be an upcharge and Luke always discussed this before proceeding to make sure everyone was on the same page. I would recommend Luke and his team. He is responsive and thoughtful and concerned that you have a good experience. What more could you ask from a company. Pat Patton

We had some major drainage issues in our backyard at our two year old home due to our contractor not dealing with issues of the neighbors gutter drains and one of ours spilling into a low area . Luke came over and looked at the issues and made a couple of recommendations. We discussed these options and decided to have Luke and his team work on the project which involved trenching 30-40 and running a gutter drain out to the back of of yard. Digging up low area, adding topsoil and resodding. The also top dressed the whole area we were having issues with. Josh who worked on our project did a good job and worked extremely hard. He cleaned up the job site. Luke visited the site and we discussed that their may be a need to come back in a couple of weeks and do a little work on the top dressed area and he was most willing to take care if necessary. Other landscapers gave us quotes that included what we call overkill and were extremely expensive. Reedy River Landscapes....professional company and staff. They are also taking care of our neighbors gutters and drains.

Luke s team installed Bermuda sod where existing was dying out, removed/hauled away old, patched in perfect & 3 months later is doing great. Also, installed river stone over dying-out Bermuda & stone looks great with no Bermuda coming thru. 2 guys were super professional & efficient.
