Kaplow was not able to help us with snow removal, but a wonderful woman there called around and found a company that COULD help us! Wow! How wonderful is that???? Thank you!!

Kaplow plowed for me at my rental property for three or four seasons. They kept their prices the same even with the rise in fuel costs, which was appreciated. I had a few issues with them, especially this past season. The first year they plowed for me, they ended up hitting my neighbor’s fence, my neighbor saw it happen. The operator contacted the owner, and the owner spoke to my neighbor. The owner told my neighbor they would fix it in the spring which they eventually did. Kaplow never contacted me about this, and I ended up finding out about the incident through my neighbor. I spoke to the owner after talking with my neighbor, and I told him that he should have contacted me since the incident happened on my property, from then on, he was good to report any problems. This past season, they didn’t show up for the first 4 -5 snowfalls, which turned out to be half the season. I sent them an email to complain, and the company told me that they weren’t coming because I had a gravel driveway, and they wanted a good base layer before plowing. A few weeks later after a couple bad snowfalls, I showed up one morning and there was two feet of snow in my driveway, I had one tenant living there at the time and he didn’t have a vehicle, so he never complained about it, but he mentioned that nobody had come to plow yet that winter. I called the owner; the owner sent a plow over that morning. I was in the building when the plow truck struck my electrical service. When I initially asked the driver about it, he denied that he hit it, but luckily my neighbors saw it happened and I was also in the building when it happened. Kaplow did hire an electrical contractor to repair my service, but no one from the company contacted me or came to check to see how things were going or to apologize. I was there for almost 12 hours dealing with Sudbury Hydro and the electricians. The electricians weren’t sure if they would be able to get the power back on by nightfall as there was a shortage on breakers, I started looking for generators to keep my building warm, as it was between -15* C and -20 * C, which is something I believe the plow company should have done. Luckily the power was back on by around 9:00 pm, and generators weren’t needed, but the fact that Kaplow never reached out to me to see how things were going or to see if I needed anything was really bad customer service. I’ve recently reached out to the owner to see if I could get a partial refund, as no one showed up for the first half of the season and for the trouble I went through on the day they hit my electrical service, but he ignored my message which is very unprofessional, so that is why I am leaving this review.
