This is a horrible company to work with! I had the worst experience! You have to go through a call center which is a nightmare! My issues never got resolved. They send technicians that have no clue and no training! They wasted a lot of my time! Zero stars!

We can finally enjoy the outdoors again... I have a cabin surrounded by woods, Lake and a pond, Trugreen treats the property for mosquitoes and it has made a world of difference. I was actually surprised how well the monthly treatments work, once in a great while I have to call them because I see a mosquito or two and they apply a free treatment in between services. They do whatever it takes to service the customer and make them happy.. I am very happy with the results...

I would not recommend TruGreen Lawn Care. When we switched companies to an extended TruGreen plan, we were told that our lawn would be covered from both weeds, and the majority of BroadLeaf grasses such as CrabGrass. We sticky by this company for 2 years now as the first year they advised that it takes time for their treatments to work. At the end of year two, we have more dandelions, weeds, crabgrass, and other desirable items in our grass than we ever have. If you want a well maintained yard with good weed and feed, do yourself a favor and use someone else that knows what they are doing.

Chemically burnt my lawn, was told by one of their service guys this was the case. Also my next door neighbor who was serviced had the same exact thing happen to him - same everything. Same burn patterns, day it was burnt, near where mine was. They had an expert come out and claim it was my fault, for cutting too low (I cut on 4on riding mower). This was their attempt to avoid responsibility and doing the right thing and fixing it. Grass still has not recovered nor have they made any attempt to make it right.

My one and only complaint is that we are informed less than 24 hours before they are coming out. Had we known at least a couple of days prior, we would have had a chance to fill the holes that the dogs had dug prior to the visit. Its frustrating to have an appointment added to our schedule last minute. We are a VERY busy household, and so advanced notice is important to us. Otherwise theyve been incredible. They explained what we had been doing wrong. Including cutting our grass to short... we didnt realize that so it was good to know. We were informed of everything done to the lawn during the appointment, what each thing was used for, and he let us know what we needed to do on our end to improve our lawn. He was super nice, knowledgeable, and was able to get the job done in a timely manor. All in all, theyre a pretty great company.

Should have shopped around instead of going off reviews. They take advantage of people who don t know how much these things should actually cost. I was charged MORE than TWICE as much as people who have THREE TIMES as much property as I do, and their yard is almost entirely grass while mine has a large driveway and 2 walkways. Well over $500 for 0.11 acres! Yes, ZERO point One One acres. I prepaid for everything up front too because they gave me a discount for doing it yep, I m that idiot. Wish me luck, tail between legs to beg for my money back

I have used Truegreen for over six years and you can see the wonderful condition my lawn is in. They will come back if I ask and have been highly professional in our relationship. Nothing but the highest praise. I use their lawn service, tree and shrub service, their mosquito defense service and their lime additive service. Very pleased indeed!

So far, so good. I got the text with tracking info, which was helpful to accommodate the dogs before they came. The tech was polite and efficient. I just set up the app and found the next service target date sections which seems like it will make knowing the schedule ahead of time or rescheduling them pretty easy. This this the first time trying them insted of doing it myself so we will see how it goes this year.

Update 03/26/24: Well, they came and did my first Trugreen service of the year today and, I guess they forgot that I have cameras on my property because once again, the guy only did part of the front yard (the part right in front of the house). He didnt do the side yard or the back yard AT ALL! I have security video that shows exactly what he did and didnt do. I cant believe, after the many times Ive called, that Im still having this issue. I paid a lot of money for this service (prepaid I might add) and Ive had nothing but issues. Not to mention, I paid extra for grub control and I have more moles in my yard than Ive ever had. All Im asking for is the service I paid for to be done and done well. Why is that seemingly impossible to get? I will absolutely not be renewing my service with Trugreen nor will I ever recommend this service to anyone. Its also difficult to get to talk to an account manager when you call because is a call center and you get a different person every time you call. I feel like Ive been scammed and Im really frustrated. They said theyll send someone out to redo the service but why does this happen almost every time? I recently did a review of the terrible service I received on my first treatment. Shortly after, Nicole from the corporate office reached out to me. Nicole was able to get my service re-done with a different technician (Greg). Greg was very knowledgeable and it appears that he did a good job. The reason I still am only giving TruGreen 4 stars is because their normal customer service process was frustrating and quite lacking. I shouldnt have to call 4-5 times in one week to try to get information about my upcoming visit. Every time you call, you speak to a different person. I realize that this is just the nature of the beast when you have a large, national company like TruGreen but, the representatives that I spoke to didnt take good notes and they didnt follow-up as promised. They also scheduled the re-treatment visit with Anthony, even though I told them that I didnt want Anthony to come back as I saw his work, or lack of, when he came the first time. I think that if Nicole had not called me, things still would have been a mess so, Im grateful that she did. Well see how things go in the future but, for now, Im happy with the outcome.

Requested an online quote. What a mistake. Now I can t get rid of them. First, quote was double what I m paying now, DOUBLE. When I told them I wasn t interested and why, they offered to lower the price. If they can t give me a good, honest price from the start, then I m not interested in doing business with them. It doesn t sound very honest, In fact, it sounds like a bait and switch scheme to me. Now I can t get them to stop calling and texting me. Beware of dishonest business tactics and relentless sales calls.

I had 1 thing. Only 1. I asked that they shut the gate when theyre done. Seems pretty simple. First treatment of the year, gates open.

We had a neihouse guest tell us they watched the Tru Green employee (s) sit in the truck in drive for approximately half hour then got out and did front yard, never touching the back or side yards. When we called to discuss this with management and let them know we would not recommend nor use their services in the future, no management available after 1st complaint. That was August 2022, fast forward to the 1st week of April 23 and get home to Tru Green statement in our door. Tracks are obvious in front yard and 2 swipes in the back yard ( approximately 1acre), so we call to find out why they were here as we told them last year we were unhappy and not going to use nor recommend them; 2 days later, credit card charged....call to dispute the 200$ fee and girl laughs at my husband. I called and spoke with Ann, decribed the problems with my lawn, as there are many, moles, crabgrass, buckhorn, moss,etc and asked what they could do, she said that they have a year program for about $800, I said I dont have a problem spending the money I would like a tech to come out and take a look and address my concerns FIRST before I spend the money, I was then told that I would have to sign up for there program then a tech would be out to take a look! WHAAT NEVER have I had a home service or contractor want money before services are tendered, just bad business practice not very ethical, I now understand why they have a low rating and 3.1 stars, not very a good business

Tru Green is a very good company. I got weed and feed this time and my grass looks so much thicker and green. I am a very satisfied customer.

I received a text that TruGreen tech would be coming but didn t see the text until after the tech began spraying the back yard. In my verbal conversation with TruGreen, I asked them specifically not to treat the backyard. He was not aware of this and told me that the technician who was supposed to treat our lawn was fired that morning. Next time, please set up the day you are coming and knock on my door so I can discuss specifics about our yard and what it needs. Thank you.

2nd Update: Called today as the money TruGreen stole from me has yet to be placed back into my account. Spoke to someone named Anna. She did a routine apology and looked into my account. She said a refund had yet to be processed but was going to submit it right that second. This means the lady who I spoke to on Thursday lied when she said she submitted the refund and the person who I spoke to yesterday lied as well when she said the refund had been approved and pushed through and to check with my bank. After saying she submitted it, I asked when I should expect it. She said itd be another 5-10 days. update. They ve been calling me. I had nothing else to say to them that I haven t already said and nothing they say is going to make me hire them so i didn t pick up. They just called again and I decided to answer as the money still hasn t been put back in my account or show as pending. Right away she said she saw I cancelled services and wanted to know why and see what she could do to help. I flat out told her. She gave the same half apology and said the money has already been pushed through and to check with my bank and hung up without saying anything. I called my bank and she saw no evidence either. Whatever you do, dont sign up for TruGreen lawn services. If I could give zero stars I would. They charge your card for services you did not agree to and lie to get your information to do so. I called yesterday after being told by two other companies that they dont have anyone in my area and asked if they had routine lawn mowing available for this season still and a quote for a yard spring clean up. They said yes. It would be $50 for the first visit but then after that it would go up to $100. I agreed and gave them my information. Today I checked my bank account and they had withdrawn over $400 from my bank account. I called to see what was up thinking maybe I misunderstood and they charge for the whole summer up front. The charge was for shrub and tree and pest control services which I did not agree to. I dont even have any shurbs or trees that need maintaining or any yard pests. She then stated that they dont offer lawn mowing or yard clean up services, just the services I was charged for.

Did a better job than I could do

Continued to have issues with them not doing our full yard, then two services in a row where the drivers lied and said they came but never stopped. I work from home and watched both times them drive right past and a minute later say my service was complete. Canceled. I ve spent more time calling, rescheduling and dealing with them then they actually spent on my yard. Don t use them!

Had Trugreen for 2 years and enjoyed the improvement to the yard. Decided to save some money this year and cancel service with intentions to use them again in the future. They offered half off the first application for the year and said they could cancel the rest. First, they never cancelled my service and gave me multiple versions of the agreement we made, then told me that I must have misunderstood, even though I already provided emails where their rep spelled it out very clearly. Got a follow up call asking why I was cancelling, speaking very abrasively, and I said I had answered that multiple times already, and the rep just hung up on me. I planned to use Trugreen again but really don t want to deal with their customer service ever again so I ll find another company.

Their representatives are VERY unprofessional! I called to ask a couple questions and told them I need to think about it because what I needed I was told was covered so I gave them my information and they sent me a confirmation text that showed an itemized statement that did not cover anything I needed. I told them I did not want their services because they called me twice within a half hour of telling them I needed to think about it and said that they would be charging me and sending someone out. I told them not to charge my card and delete my information. I even recorded the call proving that. Within the next three days they called seven more times telling me they were coming out and I will be charged. No wonder their reveiws are so bad. Ill be filing a complaint with the BBB as well.

So far, so bad! This is the first time Ive used a service like this and Im grateful that I have security cameras on my property because Anthony did almost nothing and Ive got the video to prove it! I did call and complain so, theyre sending someone else out this week. Well see how it goes. As for the customer service, Glenda was amazing. Stay tuned...

We love trugreen. This is our 3rd year of mosquito treatments. And while we do live close to a lake so we often need a follow up treatment. The treatments do work well! We love getting to enjoy our backyard without worrying about bugspray.

We love the mosquito defense treatments that Trugreen provided us...I had used them before so I knew they did a good job, but my niece was totally amazed how much the treatments helped get rid of all of our pesky mosquitoes!!! Chad, the lawn technician and Perry the mosquito technician. Both men are very personable and easy to talk with. I addressed my concern and they both followed my instructions as requested. I appreciate the text messages a day before and when to expect them. I do not feel rushed to put my ducks in the pen during treatment.

I do not have enough time to write about all of the reasons I am cancelling Trugreens service. All I will say they do not look at your lawn and develop a customized plan of service based on needs. They sell you what you do not need and then can not delivery. My lawn looks far worse this year after a year with Trugreen than any spring in the past 10 years. All I asked is to have a conversation with a manager and after 5 request and no calls, I am done!!

I had to edit my review because of the other review pics. I truly cant see how thats possible. I have had Tru Green at three different homes and EVERY one was transformed with this service. After a treatment there were times I felt like areas could have been addressed better, so they came back out after reaching out to the company. Patience is required since this process doesnt fix damaged, overgrown lawn in one day. I recommend this service because it has been proven to work.

I called Truegreen because I wanted professional help to seed my lawn. I thought it would be beneficial to have a professional help me grow some grass. Wrong. They came seeded and left. They did not leave me with instructions on how to care for my newly seeded lawn...which is what I needed. I could have sprinkled my lawn with seed, but I wanted professional tips and care instructions so that I would have a better chance of success with the seeding. I did not receive any instruction. The company even admitted to not leaving the care instructions. After several long phone calls to the Truegreen, they declined to give me any money back. They even wanted me to pay them AGAIN to come out and reseed. In short, Truegreen did not give me what I paid for and refused to make it right. You are so much better off finding another lawn care company. Stay away from Truegreen!

Dont do it!!! Customer service is terrible, techs dont show up. If you do decide to go with them, make sure they put the appropriate about of product on your lawn. In other words measure your square footage and make sure the ticket they provide you matches that. I cant even get my sales rep Allison to call me back. Ive left 8 VMs for herover last 2 months. Use AAA, they will care about you and your lawn!!

My first year with TruGreen and I am very happy with my technician and how my lawn is looking. I would really like to be able to talk or get ahold of someone in the USA and not another country when I call.

Having Tru Green spray for weeds and pests in our front yard has made huge improvements in the condition of our lawn. We had a couple of areas we had to reseed and they made sure they didnt spray the fertilizer on these areas. I loved how they communicated when our service would occur and that you could see where the truck was. We feel the price for the results has been a great value.

Trugreen specialist Jayden S has completed the service. This was our first service from Trugreen. Jayden answered all my questions. Treated broadleaf weeds and nutsedge. Also applied fertilizer.

This was our 2nd season using TruGreen. Today my wife watched the technician pull up to our house, park for 12 minutes, then put an invoice in our mailbox without doing anything! Never left his truck, didnt get any equipment out or anything. I was absolutely floored! Must have thought no one was home because our garage was shut. Now Im wondering if I paid for service we never received when we werent home before. Ive cancelled my service and would not recommend them to anyone!

We have been really happy with TruGreen. They rescued our lawn after another company ruined it. In just one summer it has come back so much.

When the service is performed I am satisfied, however twice I was informed of an upcoming service, charged for the service but they actually did not come. Came for a respray at no charge but a respray implies they came for an initial spray. I have lost faith in this companys integrity.

True Green billed us for services that we did not request. They were unwilling to cooperate and refund our payment. There are so many better lawn care companies, do not use True Green.

Will not use this company again. I thought I was ready to give up doing my own fertilizing but after this summer will go back to doing it myself. Poor job!! Skimpy use of products , skimpy coverage, even after calling two different times for a redo because the tech didnt apply fertilizer to my full lawn. Never again.

DO NOT USE this company. This is the second time we used them and they are worse than the first time. Lied to us about payment, said they only use our credit card and will automatically charge us. NOT TRUE. after finally talking to a customer service person found out yes they can bill me after a service. Came in June to look at patches in yard said the manager will be out to look at it and let us know. Its now November and we havent had any contact. Said they will spray our trees 5 times and then bill us each time. Only sprayed once but charged our credit card for 5 payments. Charged us $48 for yard planning. We never authorized this or ever saw a plan. Last time they were here they broke the gate on my fence and didnt say anything. They DO NOT follow up or return calls. They DO NOT do what they say they will do. TERRIBLE,TERRIBLE local company. Stay away from them!!!

One and done.(season) they came out for last application and undid all the gains I had during summer,due to the fact they utilized a piece of equipment that turffed and skid marked my whole yard.mgr came out and threw grass seed on skidmarks..like that would repair it in September. Also had them (trugreen) say they did a treatment in June yet I was here all day never seen a tech or got a service ticket..humm did I pay for something I didnt get??,sure looked that way..I will not rehire them its not a cheap service .my goal wasnt to improve yard in summer then destroy it in fall Im not satisfied all at.

Ive been using them for 5-6 years and every summer I have a full healthy looking lawn. Thats mostly for my wife however, the product and service is very good. So if your lawn needs help check them out.

We are very pleased to see that Mike Huston is back this season to watch after our trees, including our prized Magnolia. Mike has done a great job over the years in answering our questions and being very personable when we happen to see him - he truly seems to care about *our* trees and we have much confidence in his recommendations.

Tried calling this reps office to get a quote on lawn service to receiving the most unprofessional service. There were two men I spoke with however only was able to get one of their name which was Kevin. They both wouldnt let me talk and more importantly raked me over the coals on pricing. Dont let them manipulate you on pricing. They definitely can get you low rates like $90/64k sq ft however would rather charge you $314/51k sq ft that isnt all lawn. So in other words more cost for lot less space. Dont give them your money!!!

My neighbor has tru green and I though I would try it out (he pays $170.00 a year) I called just now and for a smaller yard they quoted me $397.00 a year, makes no sense

They dont really seem to care. I never know when there coming. Calling customer service as an existing customer is a joke. There wait time is average 3 hours. Im not even joking. I have to call, pretend to be a new customer. Then tell them whats going on. Good luck if they didnt get all the weeds the first time! Your on your own. I had to do it myself. Your just an address on a list. I am currently in the process of finding better service. If you dont beleave me just call as an existing customer. See for yourself. I gave them two stars for at least showing up...lol.

Worst customer service ever. They are unwilling to come out and see the complaints. I cancelled them last year and while I was on vacation they came out this year and fertilized my lawn. They acted like it was somehow my fault. What a joke. They wanted to add more property to my plan. Theyve left me irritated and my lawn still has weeds.

It is very hard to contact anyone at trugreen unless you want to start a lawn services. Phone calls are a three to four hour wait time.

They never show up. We had an appointment for fertilizer that we had to reschedule 3 different times and they still have yet to come out. When we called customer service they kept rescheduling our service without informing us and said that happens sometime? Very unreliable and unprofessional. I would not waist your time on trying to book with them.

Im not sure Ill use TruGreen again. Service is uneven/unpredictable.

First time customer and have had my originally scheduled date changed every time I would expect them on the 14th and would show up on the 20th I never receive a call or email about this I would call and get a recording telling me my new date maybe its a staffing problem idk. but my grass is really coming along nice.

Mosquito Spraying: We have used this service for the summer season, to spray for mosquitos. If you can get them to come out! We paid for 5 treatments in full, at the beginning of summer. Every month their scheduled date changed, resulting in us trying to call them on their customer service line, and wait 2 hours to get a reply! Only to have to argue with them, on a date to which they could come out. Their organizational skills need major updating! We have one treatment left, and already AGAIN they have changed our spray date 2 times, so now theyre coming in October, totally missing the month of Sept.! Last we checked LOTS of mosquitos still around! Maybe theyll come after the snow flies! Will never use them again.

Called 6 times in 2 weeks. Told something different each time. Promised a phone call and a site cisit to make sure service could be performed.. Terribly disappointed extremly dsappointed... Now we are going into fall and nothing has been done.

I BELIEVE STRONGLY that this is all a scam. I have talked to 6 people and have been promised a site visit from someone local but no one has ever called or shown., they also want you to pay up front without ever seeing a human. No trucks anywhere in Grand Rapids, or Grandville Michigan, and no people except those on the phone which are all in other states. They say they dont have any local office and in fact there is an address but no business at the said address posted on the internet. SCAM SCAM SCAM I will not pay for lawn service from a company that doesnt even seem to exist.

Horrible service!!! Ive had to call them 3 times to complete my aeration and overseeding and it has not been completed, nor has the local manager called me back!

We used to love TruGreen our of Grand Rapids, MI but this year has been absolutely horrendous. Terrible quality of service and application. Ruined our lawn during applications in places and probably the worst customer service/support we have ever received. Actually, how can I say it is the worst customer service received when we didnt receive any at all? We spent months waiting to get a call back from anybody when we were promised in-person visits from management. Never happened. We have since been forced to use another lawn care company for our final applications of the year because we were just forgotten about/ignored for the last two months. Shame.

I wish I could leave a rating of zero, as the received servicing was awful and not worth the money spent I wish wouldnt have prepaid and would have withheld payment until they fixed the issue. I would never recommend the pre pay option even if it reduces the price. We paid for weed control and I would say with confidence that our lawn has never looked so bad. It seemed as if instead of spraying to kill off the weeds that they were spraying weed seed and our lawn was filled with weeds and never fully treated and/or killed off. In fact the areas in which they did control the weeds they ended up killing off the grass and now we have patches of dead spots throughout our yard. So they committed to aeration and seed but continue to cancel the service as the specialist is unable to perform the service due to scheduling constraints and/or do not ever show up. I have asked numerous times to talk to the local manager and never receive anything in return. Needless to say I will not be recommending Trugreen to anyone who asks about lawn care services. As stated in previous reviews, unless you are desperate unless you are desperate, search elsewhere for better quality service before wasting your time and money for nothing with this company!

Had to cut service early this year. Not satisfied.

Blair (field sales from this location) stopped at my house and knocked on the door because my lawn was in rough shape. I was using another company, but he had some suggestions on what they could do. Blair explained that every True Green is independently operated/owned. It seems this location has a great team. About 6 weeks after they started service, it drastically improved, and all the weeds/crabgrass was gone. Very happy with their service, Im glad he stopped by to inquire/offer suggestions/sell me. Ive prepaid for the year... jave called three times and been given 3 different dates they would be no later than. Still waiting for anyone to show up and do their damn job

Service is ok, this spring I had weeds all over my lawn which was surprising as I am the only neighbor that uses TruGreen in the area and I was the only one with weeds

We paid in full for our lawn to be sprayed for weeds and crab grass. Our lawn is covered in crab grass and we have requested twice a representative to come out so we can discuss and twice they never showed up or called. I cancelled an existing appt I had to meet with someone and again, no one called or showed up!! Worst customer service and treatment for lawn!

Emailed them twice, no response. Called and left a message, no response. My lawn is filled with crab grass and asked for someone to come out and take care of it. Very disappointed. If this doesnt get resolved ASAP I will be asking for a refund of my prepaid money and go elsewhere.

At first we were VERY happy with this service. And we had 3 different one. Bite Free Lawn...Pest Control (flea and tick) and weed prevention. Well we only got the weed thing once, never came back out to do it. Then the bite free service killed our honey bees and last but not least our pest control which we use for our animals was suspended without a call to me as to why. I understand if I was to have missed a payment. Bit nobody called to inform me of that, or try to reach out before they just stopped the service. Now my yard is FULL of mosquitoes and we are having a huge cook out tomorrow. So thanks True Green. We were one proud to have the only yard amongst our friends that DIDNT have mosquitoes and now our party will be ruined by the little vampires we hired you to take care of.

Right now am not impressed. First service was fine then they never showed or called for the next time they scheduled. No one seems to be able to help!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!! We pay way too much for them not to come for service when they tell us they will be here. They have canceled 3x this week and it has been beautiful and sunny!!! They dont even call you when they cancel, they just dont show up and wait for us to call. They have done nothing for our lawn and our lawn is full of crabgrass. We are NOT happy with this company and seriously regret signing a contract with them. Please dont do what we did and trust them to do anything.

(Updated info down below) My husband and I purchased services in the spring and have 0 results after 4-5 applications. Actually weeds seem to have flourished. We had less weeds when we did ourselves. We are very frustrated. We called to cancel and they gave us 2 free future services. But they guarantee their services so we want a refund for all the past that has not done a thing for our weeds. My husband has been hand picking what he could. But they have gotten too out of control now. They said they would give us a refund. But that we would need to wait for a manager to contact us. We h avent heard anything more. They have called about mosquito services and rodents. And have done a fertilizer application y est. But we cant seem to get a refund. Im posting pictures for everyone to see. Also we leveled our backyard which is why the patchiness. Our front yard had very minimal weeds till tru green has done services on it. Our island in front was weedy before. But not to this degree!!! Its totally full! How is that possible after that many services. I had talked to customer service and they didnt really believe that we had that many weeds after so many treatments. They said after 2 we should have minimal weeds. But whatever they are feeding our weeds is really making them produce. Also another weird incident we had was when we first signed up I talked to a guy who explained about pre-emergent.I wanted areas of our lawn to grow where the grass wasnt able to from the leveling. He said for us to go to the store and get seed to sprinkle on all the spots. So we go get seed, only to find its not growing. Then I talked to a customer service lady who says that she doesnt know why he told us that cause she said pre emergent doesnt allow seed to grow and we wasted our money. How incredibly frustrating is that? Update: It has been 2-3 weeks since we have talked to customer service about stopping our service and getting a refund. They said a manager would call. We have called them 2 times since. They said they 1st the manager know and they will call us that same day or the next day. Still nothing. Update: 9/11/20 We had a manager finally come out to check our lawn. He agreed it was in bad shape. Said he would honor what I was told about the services. But that he would either credit our account for all the prior ones. Or he will return back to credit card. Well they came out 2 times after that and our weeds began decreasing. So we felt better. But then they airated and seeded. My husband was able to put hay on some of the areas they seeded to help the growth. But the question they did was a really bad job. It didnt do anything. You couldnt even tell they airated. The grass except where my husband put hay isnt growing at all. I call y est. To cancel and get the credit thats left given back. The guy tells me there is no credit. That the manager didnt give us anything. He puts in a request for us to get in touch with manager. I was able to cancel. Today I get an email that we owe $175 on our account. I just talked to the guy who didnt say we owed anything. Plus it would have come out on our card on file. This company and staff either have no clue what they are doing or they lie. I honestly dont understand how dysfunctional, unorganized, and dishonest they can be. We just want our money back and for everything to stop.

Second year doing the mosquito defense and it was well worth it, we will be doing it for a third year Im sure

Quality and service have been a big disappointment this year. Trying to resolve, but cant even get the service manager to return a call. Company policy is to return you call within 2 business days, which doesnt qualify as responsive to me.

I think YruGreen goes the extra mile to make sure a person is happy with their lawn. Thats why the cost a little more the the other guys.

Terrible service, the only reason I m doing this review is because True Green customer service is broken after so many phone calls to correct issues I had enough don t ever call me again ever!!! People all they care about is money, we have many other companies to choose from with better customer service!!

I was going to get full service lawn care from trugreen this year. I went online and requested a quote. The quote came back a lot higher than the other competitors but I was still going to go with them as I understand sometimes you get what you pay for. Their sales team blew it big time though. I got a call almost immediately, which was great. They offered to put a discount on their service in order to get a little closer to another quote I was given (still $150 more than their next closest competitor). I was excited to get this thing started. I always run things by my wife if it is over a $300 purchase so I told them to email me the quote and I would call them back after I talked to her. Salesman was very understanding and told me he was excited for my call and let me get off the line. Not 10 minutes later I got a call from a different sales rep that went through the exact same speech the first guy did. I understand mistakes happen so I politely said I already got my quote and I d call back towards the end of the day. About 20 minutes passed and I looked at my phone, three missed calls all from the same number that called the first time. Now my phone goes off again and I see it s trugreen. I had to take a deep breath because now I was frustrated that they kept calling repeatedly. It was yet a different sales person! Same speech, same offer. I told them I was getting a little annoyed that they couldn t keep track of my info, I already heard the quote, and I d call back in a short while after my wife got off work. 5 minutes later they called again. Same. Speech. Same. Offer. I was livid but somehow kept it together. I told her I no longer want to go with the service because I want to go with a smaller more local company. She apologized but seemed annoyed and hung up on me. I kid you not, 10 minutes passed and it happened again. I did not keep my calm this time as my 2 year old was crying and I was already very upset with their sales strategy. Told them to take me off the call list and that I don t want their service. Long story short, they are too big of a company to provide quality care for people s lawns. They could not keep track of who to call. How could they keep track of my lawn quality? And by the way, I ve ignored two more calls just while writing this. Absurd...

I decided to give them a try last year to see if they could do a better job on my lawn than I could. 1. I was supposed to receive 24 hours notice before every visit. I had to call multiple times to request this. Never happened until the 6th month. 2. I saw no improvement in my lawn so it wasnt worth the money. 3. THEY KEEP CALLING! I have had to cancel service for this year twice, and it was a long, drawn out conversation to get them to accept that. I have spoken to account managers and additional two times. No, I dont want a couple applications at discount. No, I dont want to walk my property with a specialist. No, I dont want to speak to anyone else on the phone about anything. Your service didnt work for us. Stop being pushy and stop calling me. This is poor customer service and just a nuisance.

I would give -1,000,000 stars if I could. We found a sign in our yard stating our entire lawn was doused with a poisonous chemical that should not be touched, ingested or breathed in. There was a receipt stuck in the door with somebody elses name and address along with a nice disclaimer about the health risks associated with pesticides. However, we didnt notice this until we had all been outside in the yard. Did you know Prodiamine is a cancer-causing carcinogen and its the active ingredient in Barricade pre-emergent lawn treatment? Its also on Greenpeaces black list of toxic pesticides/herbicides. Well, now its been applied to my ENTIRE YARD! - Front. Side. Back - without any notice while my family and I were gone. We have intentionally avoided dousing our yard with toxic chemicals for the past 7 years and buy organic food to discourage the general over-use of chemicals in our environment. And now we have 27lbs of poisonous yellow pellets covering every inch of our yard. This should be illegal. I wonder how they will get it all removed before it rains in 2 days. I will be calling them bright and early to find out.

Just call in to get a quote for some yard fertilizer of my yard. Long story but all in to sales person tried to do some high pressure sales. As in this offer is only good as long as we are on the phone together. ... I told him we are done talking and to have a good day and we are done.

I asked for pest control service and was told it was included with the lawn service. It was not. When I called back to inquire I was transferred to the Sales Department who told me it would be an additional $260.00 for the service I inquired about in the first place and a sorry that you misunderstood. I DID NOT misunderstand. Also, the gentleman who came to my house for the first fertilizer treatment left a summary that included sorry I missed you, I knocked on the door and you werent home. I was home. I was watching through my kitchen window. He never knocked on my door. This company lies. Their only concern is how much money they can con you out of. Id stay away.

Handled my problem, very people friendly. They did a return visit within a few days of my call.

Came out and got me quoted quickly. Understood what I wanted and what needs done. Price is fair and they are going to do the work in the fall so the lawn will send best.

NOT HAPPY with first impression ! I requested a quote over the weekend and was expecting a call on Monday but instead I got a call on Sunday (which would be totally fine ) But I was at a graduation party so was not able to answer . Which Is again fine !! But through the coarse of the next 3 hours I had gotten 19 missed calls from you!!!!!!! 19 CALLS ON A SUNDAY ! Usually if someone does not answer its for a reason so finally once I was able to answer the phone on call number 20 I asked to please be removed that I now want to go to a different company because of this . So they said okay , Well Monday morning comes and I again start getting calls ! This is not professional its completely inappropriate and pushy !

Im using the service this year and have been disappointed in the results. My lawn is varying colors of green and none of which are the dark green that a well taken care of lawn displays. The trugreen specialist noted that I had a problem with weeds last time and indicated additional treatments were needed. However if I hadnt called they would not have set up the additional treatments which is manipulative in my opinion. This will be my first and last experience with trugreen.

WARNING SCAM! TrueGreen will sign you up for their Lawn Care plan which will have fertilizer + seeding. If you pay for the plan upfront at the end of the service they will say you need to pay extra for the seeding treatment. Do not trust this company, or its packages.

TruGreen has done an excellent job. They give advance notice as to when they will be coming and are very friendly and professional. I did have a concern with my aeration and seeding which, when I informed them, they took care of quickly and went above and beyond my expectations when taking care of the problem without cost. No questions asked and again very professional. Great service and staff.

Beware ! Beware ! Beware ! The company will charge you even for the services you do not ask them to do. I have taken a package for an year and paid for the package in advance. I vacated the house after that year and still the company said they kept servicing the lawn (where i don not live any more) and charged me for that. when i told them them that i dont live there, the company representative told me that they would keep continuing the service unless I give them a written notice. They said its in their policy that they would continue the services. I had no other option but to pay as i do not want the account to go to collections.

They did an alright job with our yard, but we decided to go with another company after being harassed multiple times by the company trying to upsell us. We told them we didnt want to buy a more expensive service and the salesperson couldnt seem to fathom how that was possible. Several weeks later we got another call from them asking if they could come back and finish off the year. My wife told them we didnt want to use them because they kept trying to give us services we didnt need. The salesman then decided to berate my wife about how that practice has made them number one in the industry and hang up on her.

I didnt have to do anything, so it was great! The lawn looks great & all I have to worry about is mowing it. Great professional service.

If this is only for the Lawn then I am very pleased with the service. The specialist always knocks on the door and it very friendly and helpful. My lawn looks great because of the excellent applications.

The gentleman who did our applications explained what he was doing, how it would impact our animals, what we could do to make the area safe for our dogs, and how long it would take for the application to be ready for the dogs to get back in their grass!! He is very professional and we are glad you hired him.

Happy with My Service! Specialist is very efficient, gives good feedback on what he has done and suggestions on what I should be doing to help maintain my lawn. Weed control is still a problem.

I I have used either Scotts or True Green since I bought my current home. I have not had many issues with them untill the last treatment True Green did last Wednesday. My entire yard front and back lookes like someone poured bleach all over it. Obviously this person did not know what he was doing and now I have chemical burns all over! They are coming to inspect it today (they did not have anyone to come until today, 6 days after incident). They will never touch my lawn again!!

My first year using TruGreen. I have put up with horrible lines in my lawn and currently I have 4 areas where they killed my lawn and still have not sent out someone to repair it. I have called and still nothing! I will go back to doing it myself in the future.

Very easy to work with. Technicians were friendly and did what they said they were going to do.

The last service was right after our 1st rain in over a month which was August ,the grass was getting brown and looked really bad. You guys came right after that and the application made a huge differance, it killed the weeds that were coming up and it turned my grass from brown to green in a few days. I still have a few brown areas where the heat and lack of water damaged it but it looks 80% better then it did. I am happy with the outcome!
