Meadowgreen Inc in Grand Rapids

After dealing with a large, unorganized lawn maintenance company I reached out to MeadowGreen for a quote. Once we signed with them they were out at our company that day cleaning up and maintaining our lawn. The next day I had a report in my email with everything they had done that day along with a section that tells me about the technician who was taking care of us. This was so refreshing to see after dealing with a company that would not communicate with us at all. Highly recommend!!

Never had a plow service before, but went ahead and got one this year and Im not disappointed I did. Meadowgreen provides daily status during snow events of when theyre going to plow and they do what they say their going to do. On time and at a reasonable price. Im very pleased with the service! Lawn service is excellent too! Meadowgreen services have been outstanding.

Meadowgreen has been our snow removal service for a number of years. Theyre service is next to none when it comes to timeliness and thoroughness when the snows arrive. Im always first in line when it comes to renewing our contract for the next year.

Workers took items from my trash. Snow removal driver speed through the neighborhoods. I had to do my own snow 5 times through the snow season due to untimely snow removal. Grass damage.

Meadow green has been great on keeping up with all the snow and I love how they send emails updating customers on their plowing schedule.

This is our third season with the company. They do a great job of keeping you informed of their schedule for snow removal. Grand Rapids. Was recently hit by a heavy snow storm and Meadowgreen did a great job in snow removal. I would recommend them to anyone, but I get five stars from me. This is now our fourth season with Meadowgreen. They have continued to do a superb job in execution of the service and their communication with their clients. I highly recommend this service. I cant give it any more stars

Very impressed with how Meadowgreen handled the recent snow dump we had over the past 7-10 days. They were out every night cleaning out my driveway to that it never became impassable. This is my first year using their snowplow services. The real tests of service comes in the midst of the storm, literally. They were there multiple times, they connect with customers via email on the weather and how they plan to handle it and they inform when they will be out to clear the driveway and then back to clear the approaches. They provide top notch service and did not disappoint.

They did good job(on time, clean snow nicely...)but, the reason I only gave 3 stars! Because, the last 2 seasons, the driver scoop unusual big part of my lawn out (even, they alway fix it when the season end. But, the damage still not look normal! Specially this year).

This is my 2nd year with Meadowgreen. Im trusting them to take care of my snowplowing needs and they have never let me down. We have been hit with a huge winter snow event and it was comforting hearing the plow blades drop at about 2:30am this morning. Then, as I got up to go to work, I heard the sound of snowplow blades dropping again from my driveway area. I looked out my window and what a welcome sight it was to see my snowplower hitting the driveway and driveway entrance just before I had to leave for work. In my opinion, they are going to have a difficult time providing better service than this! Keep up the great work!

First time using their service, its only been a week, I already like them. On time service, prompt email communication on when they are going to clean, how they are monitoring, etc.

When it snows, this business means business! They have their routes figured out so that they get everyone cleaned out and ready to go when the time to go has arrived. They clean almost down to the surface and mother nature takes it from there. BEST SERVICE IN 74 YEARS OF HAVING THIS DONE! Sidewalks and mailboxes are not a problem for these folks and they actually know the rules of where to put the snow. We count on them to keep us in the clear during this time of the year. If they do this so well, who knows what they can do for your grass!!?? (Fifth star will not light up!)

Ive used Meadowgreen over 15 years for my snowplowing service. I am very happy with their service and especially great this past weekend with the record snow we had. They are timely and plow my entire driveway to the edges. I only have to do my steps and by the mailbox. I have never had a situation where they did not return my call/email within a timely period.

I have been using Meadowgreen for fourteen years. They are my full service company. Lawn care, cutting, edging, leaf clean up an snow plowing without them I could not remain in my home. They are friendly and very professional. I strongly recommend them. Positive

I have used Meadowgreen for snowplowing for a few years now. They do a great job. I especially appreciate that they make a second pass to clean up the mess left by city plows, and that they keep the mailbox approach clear. Communication is great with daily emails whenever there is snow.

They email to keep us up to date with their plans for clearing our driveway in snow season. They are extremely conscientious and thorough, and they work all hours if that gets the job done. Their summer care of our yard is also absolutely great, well done. The emailing now seems crucial to us. I hope other companies provide such an excellent part of good service. Great communication and plows on a timely basis especially during heavy snowfalls. We will definitely keep using them!

Not only does Meadowgreen do a superb job with snowplowing our driveway during terrible blizzards (see Christmas, 2022), they also deliver regular email updates that are comprehensive, informative, timely and extremely well written.We ve been a Meadowgreen customer for about seven winters and I can t imagine anyone else doing a better job.

This is the first year I have signed up for snow removal, since my husband and I are no longer able to shovel snow ourselves. Meadowgreen has been a wonderful company to work with -- they plow in a timely manner and return to touch up the job after street plows have gone through. Their communication with customers is excellent, and I will not hesitate to hire them again next year!

I feel that Meadowgreen, Inc. does a good job of removing the snow from my driveway and on a timely basis.

This business provides excellent residential snow plow service. It also communicates by email with its customers on days plowing is planned, giving information as to current weather, forecasted weather, and as to current plowing that is in progress or has been completed. it also gives information as to the businesss plans at the time the email is sent as to follow-up plowing. This candid and helpful communication by the business to and with its customers reflects a strong customer service attitude. They have also updated the equipment used for residential plowing, which we appreciate.

We have used Meadowgreen for many, many years, and have always been impressed with their service. They are professional, on time, and regularly provide email updates. Highly recommend!

This is the second year we have had Meadowgreen as our plow service. If I am not happy with something, I let them know by replying via the snow update emails they send out to customers. They quickly respond and take care of any issue I have had. I am very happy with their service and will sign on for next year too! When I headed out to work on the morning of Feb 17, ours was the only driveway that wasnt overladen with snow from the City road plows. Yay!

Do an acceptable job plowing snow. They are terrible at repairing turf damage. Multiple calls every Spring/Summer and have never once followed thru with fixing the damage they created. Customer service lady on the phone is argumentative and gives nothing but excuses. Not what I expect for price.

[Edit] Moved from 1 star to 3 since this issue was apparently a clerical error on their part. I think that MeadowGreen is trying to scam me. I havent done business with them in over 15 years but they are now sending Invoices for snowplowing to my old address (from a year ago), which are being forwarded to my new address. Ive seen this trick before where a company sends an Invoice hoping that youll just blindly pay it without realizing you never asked for the service.

Just contracted with Meadowgreen for the first time and would not recommend them to anyone. They are unreliable for plowing and do not show up as promised. Also, their customer service is terrible, be prepared to hear the words Im sorry you feel that way and not ever receive any genuine apology. Highly suggest going elsewhere for your plowing needs.

No time for safety when you run thru 3 red lights on cascade at 1:33am!! How unsafe and no regard for the law or public safety.

Meadowgreen is a great company to work with! We love how they watch and anticipate the weather. They keep you updated with emails. They come early so my husband does not have to shovel or snow blow at 5:30 am. He drives school bus and leaves very early. We highly recommend!

I needed my driveway cleared out after they cleared it earlier cause more snow came and they didn t hesitate at all to come clear it for a family event. I highly recommend them as I have tried one company prior and they refused to come but not Meadowgreen. Thanks guys

This is our first year using Meadowgreen to snowplow our driveway. Their service has been first rate and, moreover, their email communications go way above and beyond to keep us regularly informed. Very pleased indeed.

This snowplowing business is SO well run! I love the updates via email that we get when the weather is bad or predicted to get bad. It is nice to know when the plowing team will begin their route and when they are planning to finish.

This review is based on two different services. The first, snowplowing, I would rate as 5 stars. We have been using Meadowgreen plow service for 3+ years at this point and have never had a single issue. They are great with communication, come multiple times during storms, plow early before work and return to plow the ends of driveways after the snow plows come. Truly I have no complaints on this service. The lawn service on the other hand, is a different story. We used Meadowgreen in 2017 for lawn service. Everything was going great until the end of the season. The last month or two was spotty. No one would show up for 2-3 weeks. When I called, I was told it was because someone had quit and just not shown up to do their work during their last 2 weeks. That night the manager came and mowed my lawn. No problem. The weeks that followed were also spotty, but since it was getting into fall, I wasnt as worried about it. 2018 started off bad. I got a new quote for lawn service, and the price jumped MORE THAN 50%. In 2017 I paid less than $1000, and it 2018 the price went up to $1,650. The reasons listed were terrain (the same terrain they quoted the year before and mowed the year before) and pet waste (again, same as last year and we actually try to clean it up the night before they come, but since they dont come on the same day every week, its impossible; Im assuming they have this issue with anyone who owns a dog?). This increase along with the spotty service at the end of 2017 didnt seem worth it to me. So, I called the company. I was told that someone would contact the manager and get back to me. I waited 2 weeks and called again. At this point I was already missing the window to get the early bird discount (because no one returned my call). The second time I called, the person was very nice, and again said shed talk to the manager/owner and get back to me. Then, about a week later I get a call from the same woman saying that she was going calling everyone who used their service last year to see if they wanted to renew, and gather payment. I reminded her that no one had returned my call once again and she assured me the owner would be contacting me soon. Well, its now July, halfway through the lawn season, and I still havent received a reply. My husband is mowing this year and I dont plan on using or recommending Meadowgreen for lawn service ever again.

this guy just come and do one swipe an take off do not put any salt or clean the side walk and theres so much snow on the driveway that i have to go and shove the snow and it turns in to ice we pay so much money that Im just going to start doing it my self and Ive call u guys and the lady that i talk to she is not nice

We have no complaints on the plow service itself. The customer service on the other hand is another story. During a plow in December there was damage done to our house. At the time we were assured that once it was spring that the Company would have the damage repaired. Well here we are in the middle of October and the damage has not yet been repaired. We have traded various e-mails and calls over the past 10 months and I have been assured multiple times that the repairs will happen but again nothing. I have been told twice now that the subcontractor that they hired for the repairs has told them that the repairs were completed, yet they have not. I have also been told multiple times that they are following up with Carl the owner and the subcontractor but I have yet to be contacted back with how the issue is going to be resolved. I cannot help but think that I am getting the run around at this point and it is extremely frustrating.

Best place around for snow removal and lawn maintenance

Very disgusted with Meadowgreen blowing all the leaves from neighbors yard across the street into a large pile in the street and leaving them so the wind could blow leaves from this pile all over our yard before they bothered to come back and clean up the pile. Now we need to clean our yard again. Not the type of company I would recommend.

Unfortunately, here is another negative review. This year, they actually do get to the property to plow but always push the snow in front of the mailbox-why?!? I cruised around to other houses here in EGR and notice the same thing. Message to Meadowgreen-respect postal employees and dont plow snow in front of mailboxes!

Cant understand why they plow snow in front of the mailboxes. They replied to another reviewer that they come back through and clean in front of the mailboxes. Have have never seen evidence of that. Even got a nasty message from Post Office stating that they could not deliver mail because of snow blocking mailbox!

After a little miscommunication getting work scheduled, I am unbelievably happy I picked MeadowGreen for my lawn care. I had mulching, trimming, pruning, and mowing service done. My yard was in rough shape and they have it looking great now. The owner personally did the quote for me and gave me a good deal. They were fast and efficient. Carl masts entire staff is friendly and they even gave me some free advice on how to get my lawn looking even better. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for landscaping or mowing service. They also do a great job with snow removal. Book early, they are busy because they are good, but once they get going youd think youre their only priority. Thanks for the great work and quality customer service.

They have very poor customer service. Recently, they broke my sprinkler head while mowing. The sprinkler head is located on mulch area where they are not supposed to go with the lawnmower. I have sent repeated emails to Mr. Carl Mast (President) including the photo of the damaged sprinkler. It clearly has tire marks from the lawn mower. Despite multiple emails, they are refusing to acknowledge the issue. If you call their office, calls are answered by Amanda who is rude and their office staff is not helpful either. Update: I received a call from Carl after the above review was placed. They finally fixed my sprinkler. I did explain my concern about their service as mentioned above. I was assured it will not happen again. Therefore, I am improving the rating above with the intention to closely monitor the service for the remaining season.

Terrible-No plowing in 24 hours despite 8 inches of snow and pre-paying $208. Had them years ago at another address and their quality was slipping but gave them another try. I finally learned my lesson-try another :(.

I am using Meadowgreen for snowplowing service for the first time this winter (2014/2015). So far so good. They have been proactive, consistent and reliable. Plus they communicate really well via email letting me know the status of the plowing. I will update this review later in the season.

Carl and Jon at Meadow Green are the best. I have used other lawn service companies in the past and my experience with Meadow Green has been better than with the rest. Mowing, fertilizing and mulching they are the best. We also used them for snowplowing service this past season for the first time and didnt have any problems and always woke up to a plowed driveway. I have recommended them to friends and family and everyone I have recommended them to has thanked me.
