Greenstar Eco in Gilbert

The word that comes to mind and best describes Greenstar Eco and Dan Lautenschlager, is AWESOME! We purchased a new build from across the country and faced the difficult task of trying to complete backyard landscaping with no knowledge of desert plants and no prior connections in Arizona. We ran across Greenstar Eco on-line, along with a couple others and decided to meet with all three companies. It was not a difficult choice. One finally came back with a pencil sketched design after we waited about a month, and another came back with a decent design, but was in such a hurry that we were out of breath by the time she left. Then came Dan. He showed up within a week, on time, with a 3-D colored rendering of what he had envisioned for us. He was spot-on with the discussions we had about what we had wanted. He spent as much time as we needed, going through details and small changes, never once making us feel like he had better things to be doing. We put him through his paces. Over the course of the next 3 months or so, we tweaked many things and asked for revisions before ever giving him the go-ahead on the job. Never did we feel that he was impatient with us! He always responded quickly and even provided his cell number so we could get a hold of him immediately, if necessary. He thought the job would take 6 weeks, but the longest we could stay in AZ was 4 weeks, so he made the promise he would get it done. Not only did he keep his promise, but they finished 2 days early! Alberto and his team did excellent work. The masonry and other details were exceptional. They built a beautiful water feature and fire pit, laid a Travertine patio and sidewalk, and extended driveway pavers along the garage as well as a path down the side of the house. Dan himself, took us shopping for plants, turf and stone. We made small changes daily and there were never any complaints. The crew was just as friendly and responsive as Dan. When they were finished, you would never have known they were there, as far as cleanup goes. After the job was completed, Dan got us all set up with phone apps and timers for the decorative lighting, water feature and irrigation so we would have visibility from across the country. A few plants died in the first couple weeks and without us asking, Dan’s team showed up with replacements. If you ask us, Greenstar Eco is the full-service way to go for any of your landscaping projects. You can expect competitive pricing, prompt communication, attention to detail, friendly faces and most of all quality work. I cannot emphasize enough, how thrilled we are with how our backyard oasis came together!!!

Dan was excellent to work with. He did on-the-fly graphic design changes per our desires over the phone as we changed our minds until it was exactly what we wanted for a great price. His crew did excellent work, we thank the whole team for our new backyard experience. We love to putt, play soccer, and hang out by the fire so much now! Thanks Greenstar Eco! My husband and I had a blank canvas with our backyard being in a new build and all. Our yard was literally all dirt and we had a vision, and knew exactly what we wanted! After consulting with several different companies, Greenstar Eco was definitely the stand out for such a massive project. The owner, Dan, was professional, knowledgeable and his many years of experience in the business made Greenstar Eco the right choice. With any big projects, things change or need to be adjusted, and we always felt our questions or concerns were promptly answered. We were confident in the work that was being done and everything went as smooth as possible. Honestly, it is getting more difficult these days to find quality work, with great communication, but Dan was always a phone call away and would often visit to check the work. They definitely delivered and his team was a dream to work with. We are beyond happy with the level of detail and care that went into our dream backyard, and even after a few months of being done, Dan is always available for any questions. Great customer service to the very end and beyond!

Dan and his team did an amazing job! A new driveway, pathway, irrigation, plants, landscaping plus outdoor kitchen. He was great at giving ideas, sharing photos and walking us through the steps of the project. Most importantly, he delivered on what he promised. The project was done in a timely manner, and he was here to make sure everything met our expectations. I would highly recommend Dan for your next project!

Best experience ever! Yard turned out just like the renditions we approved. Always on time and responded. Kept us informed which was very important to me. Highly recommend and would use again. No complaints whatsoever!!! I have and am referring this business to all my friends, family, etc.

I hired this company to do my front yard landscape installation. Upon our first meeting I found Dan easy to talk to and accommodating. I had already had an architect design my yard and I provided Dan with the plans, but told him I wanted to make some changes, and he was quick to offer suggestions. He was able to accommodate the design and my changes. He also offered a CAD drawing with bid to help visualize the final product better. Unlike some of the other landscapers I had out, he got back to me quickly and I didn't feel like I had to track him down. His price was reasonable and when it came to installation the crew he sent out was great. They got it done within two weeks start to finish. And months later when a couple of plants died, I contacted his office and they came out and replaced under warranty. I would definitely hire them again.

Dan and his crew did a complete landscape job on our 14000 sq ft lot from front to back. They did a Desert Theme in the front and a Tropical Theme in the back, just as we requested. They installed a sunken Fire Pit/Barbeque area that sits 24" below grade. They did a complete stucco job with various patterns on our back and side fences, that also turned out very well. I must include that I am a very fussy person when it comes to everything being installed correctly, level, plumb, and square, as I spent over 40 years in the construction industry. I do not like when a contractor tries to cut corners, this is not Greenstar Eco. Dan does what he says and says what he does, there were no surprises. I like his old school way of doing things right the first time. It was a long project, I believe Dan said there was close to 1500 man hours in the project. His crew, especially his onsite foreman Ramiro are all very good conscientious craftsmen, that have all been very well trained. Ramiro and his crew treated our site and us with total respect. Compared to other bids we received, Dan was right in the ballpark, however, we feel we received a much better completed project than what the other bidders would have provided, especially as we watched the other bidders flounder in our new sub-division. The other important thing to us was the fact there were no hidden fees, or extra charges, the bid was the bid. At one point Dan could not get the Travertine we wanted he sourced for us an upgraded travertine at no extra charge. We shopped Gilbert for our front lawn makeover; new watering system and all-new landscape design. After much research and consideration for what we wanted, we hired Greenstar Eco. They completed the job today-one day early; what a wonderfully positive experience!! Dan and his team were consumate professionals. The project foreman, Romero, was a landscape artist and impressive leader. We highly recommend them without reservation‼️
