Tried calling their number several times. No one picks up the phone or returns the call. Looks like they don t care for your business. They might be good in what they do, but they are not the only one in the valley. Don t waste your time here.

These guys do really good work and very happy with how our backyard paver project came out as well as the pavers they did in our center courtyard quality work. They also did our misters and when one of the plastic pipes cracked. They came the next day to fix it much appreciated thank you Anthony!

Azul Design & Landscape have now done two yards for us. Anthony has always been great with communication, and offering advice on design. His team shows up early, and hustles the whole time. We are constantly referring him to our friends and family. You wont be disappointed in their customer service, or craftsmanship.

This was my third backyard remodel and this by far was the best experience! The crew was very accurate, detailed, and offered great recommendations as the yard progressed. Anthony had great ideas, the pricing was very fair, and he finished our project on the timeline that was promised...I would highly recommend AZUL!

Go elsewhere! Tried setting up a consultation for a quote for my backyard multiple times. First time, no response for over a week+. Submit a request a second time and was finally contacted. They offered a time slot, which I agreed to. Fast forward to appointment day... They did not show up. Called and emailed with no answer. An hour later, after the initial agreed upon time. I get a call saying they forgot to add me to their schedule (remember, they picked the timeslot). If they are being this lazy from the start, I can only imagine what its like when they have your money in hand and yard torn up...

Anthony seemed nice and said he would get back to me in about a week with some great ideas on our 1/2 acre project. I didn t hear back after 2 weeks so I followed up and he said he would have ideas by that Friday... Nope. I followed up again but no reply; that was almost 3 weeks ago. Not a word.

Never called back.

From start to finish my experience with Azul Design & Landscape has been incredible and my backyard landscaping project was absolutely beautiful! I was visited by Anthony who came out to assess the property pretty promptly after my initial inquiry and they did a great job in helpful me reimaging the space and come up with a phased project within my budget that really brought the space to life! New BBQ, Firepit, Travertine Pavers and Turf. Anthony provided me with a much more appealing and it all got completed super quickly. My on site project manager Mario went above and beyond to ensure sure I received a quality customer service experience every step- he was awesome! And even helped me to identify resources to keep everything up once the project was done. If you are looking for a timely, quality, top flight landscaping or gate project Azul Design & Landscape is the team to hire.

Our front and back yard were basically rock and dirt. Together with Azul, we designed a whole new look. Azul installed all except the back yard pool, pergola and white travertine. They installed our entire front yard (including turf), side yard, between the houses and the turf in the back yard. They laid pavers down the sides of our driveway and house, installed four sound barrier wall (and a gate), planted all vegetation, put in a new, higher quality irrigation system, and set up lighting throughout. It was a LOT of hard work, digging in clay, jack-hammering rock and moving gas lines. We were BLOWN away by two things: 1) the quality of Azul s work. Not many contractors these days take such pride in workmanship, but Azul EXCEEDED our expectations (and we are EXTREMELY detailed, as I am an engineer by trade and my husband has done landscaping work in the past). We were especially impressed at how they installed the rip rap in the front. We just expected a squiggly line of bigger rocks, but Azul carefully placed EVERY rock so perfectly. It looks awesome! 2) ALL our interactions with the Azul team, including changes, were kind and professional. We expected the average contractor to be a little disappointed or taken aback if we ask for a small change of alteration mid-project. But NOT Azul. Whoever we spoke to, responded with a smile and a glad to do it attitude. These two things were huge to us. We shopped around, initially, and chose Azul because of the high customer ratings and reviews. Now, we are happy to add ours to the mix. Thank you, Azul Design and Landscape!

Im pretty the builders are good at what they do but for the designers, I give two thumbs down. I responded in a timely manner, was asked to give plot plans which I did, and complete silence to this day. I even stated in the text to the designer if this is how he normally works with customers. Hope you have a better experience.

Don t bother. Tony is dishonest and his crew does poor quality work. They claimed they knew how to do waterline tile on our pool and didn t do it properly so it all had to be ripped out and redone because the pool was leaking - thousands down the he drain. They eventually abandoned the site and when they left, they took many of my personal tools and property - including glass tile that I had purchased. I am seriously considering suing this company - they absolutely deserve it.

At first we were not entirely sure what we wanted to do with our lake front property, but Anthony did an excellent job of patiently listening to our ideas and creating a design which totally transformed our outdoor living space. We had several quotes and designs for our new home landscaping and went with Anthony. I came to Tony with some rudimentary plans, and he turned it into a nice CAD drawing with everything we wanted in the plan. His guys did a great job putting it all together, and pulled me in whenever there was a question about something while they were building it out. Even after it was done, Tony still stood by the work and had his guys come out a couple of different times close to a year later to resolve minor issues with the irrigation. Ive been coming to Tony probably once a year to have additional work done. Most recently, he dug out the grass in my backyard, and replaced it with artificial turf. The team had it dug out, and installed in a single day! It looks beautiful!

Azul landscaping did a complete demo and reconstruct of our backyard in the fall and winter of 2020. The owner, Anthony, was so responsive and professional. The entire crew that was here everyday worked so hard and were so skilled at everything they did. Since the remodel, we have spent so much time in our backyard with our family and friends. Were about to use Anthony and AZUL for a second time to completely re-do the backyard in our new home in Ahwatukee. They re-did our backyard in our last home a few years ago and we loved it.....completely created a backyard paradise for us and our family and friends. Made changes on the fly to keep the wife happy and gave us the best pricing for the work by far. All new landscaping, travertine, lighting, pool makeover with waterfall features and gas firepots. Created a large gas firepit and travertine seating area. Built a bar where there was non and added a built in barbeque with gas from the main meter. When we sold, the yard was a huge selling point and helped generate 4 offers in a weekend. Using him again with complete confidence.

Based on Google reviews and after seeing some of the work that Azul had done in our community, we hired them to do the landscaping of our new construction house. The owner Anthony was very good to work with. His proposals were detailed and costs were lower than other popular landscaping companies in the area. I was very impressed with the quality of his crews work, especially the hardscaping. We had them build retaining walls with columns, extend the driveway and install a paver path along the side yard. The engineering was precise, materials used were top quality and the final result was just as we had envisioned. Anthony also worked separately with the HOA to get the plans approved without much intervention from me. I intend to hire Azul again to execute on a couple of additional landscaping projects in the future.

Anthony and his crew did a great job on our backyard in Eastmark! We werent completely sure what we wanted, and he took the time to sit down with use and actually design a yard that has been great for entertaining. He made suggestions as the build was in progress (and was very accommodating due to supply constraints and material shortages). His crew was knowledge and his pricing was fair. I could only imagine whats it like in construction right now with the shortage of labor, material, and constant covid distruptions, but would recommend Azul and Anthony for future projects.

I had a great experience with Azul Designs removing some trees and fencing from my yard and also adding a section of extra pavers to make space for an outdoor shed. They were quick to respond to my initial request for an estimate and consultation, and they completed the work well in a timely manner as we had planned. We had one small issue after the job was completed and Anthony had his crew back on site within hours to fix the problem. I greatly appreciated that. This company also designed and executed the entire design of my backyard before I bought the home and it s absolutely stunning - it was truly the major selling point when we selected this property. Anthony and the crews with Azul did a great job for us on our pool cleanup landscaping. It wasnt a very big job but it was done well. They put up a couple of pool equipment walls with stucco and paint, put down new rock in both the front and back yards with a few plants. We love our built in BBQ grill and fire pit. Anthony helped make our vision a reality. Tony and his crew are simply sensational! When we first moved into our new build four years ago, Azul did our front yard pavers and landscaping (weve won Yard of the Month and get compliments regularly), as well as our travertine tiling, a large pergola, custom BBQ and pool tiling and fire bowls. Friends and family were blown away. Last month, we asked them back to build an enormous fireplace which fills one end of the pergola and holds a 75 TV. The fireplace opening is 103 wide. It is gorgeous! Lastly, as with any builds, items need attention years later. Without fail, Tony responds and takes care of us. In short, he is the best youll find.

Anthony has gone above and beyond to help me design the front yard of my dreams, taking my visions and incorporating them into a masterpiece. He has been very responsive, answering all my questions promptly, using all his resources to help with every last detail. And executing the project to perfection. Not sure about all these stellar reviews. It was not my experience. I called Anthony about a month ago. He called to reschedule our first appt. No problem. Met him at our second. Not personable what so ever. He spent maybe fifteen minutes at my house. We discussed a remodel for my front and back yards. He seemed uninterested, distracted and it seemed he wanted to be anywhere else but consulting with me. He drew a little sketch and took exactly three measurements. Really? Told me he would get back to me once he crunched some numbers. Two and a half weeks later I called him. He didnt remember me nor the job. Once again said he would get back to me, but didnt apologize or bother to ask my name. Clearly he wasnt interested, so I texted him back telling him not to bother. What a joke and what a disappointment, especially since I read so many awesome reviews, which now I have to raise a skeptical eyebrow at. Now that I think of it, I read something in the area of 43 awesome reviews and not one of them bad. Hmmm. Well. Here ya go Anthony, you could have at least called to tell me you were not interested, instead of letting me waver in the wind thinking you were crunching numbers and fitting me into your schedule. Must be nice where you can just blow people off. Next time try and treat people with a little more respect and dignity. Sean

Working with Anthony Hermosillo at Azul Design & Landscape was a good experience. He listens to your ideas, returns quality designs, and prepares contracts that are thorough and easy to understand. He is honest and his crews provide quality work at a fair price. I would highly recommend both Anthony and his firm for your landscape design and construction needs. As with any construction project, the owner must accept the reality that the contractor and crew will likely have multiple projects at other locations under way. To that end, both the owner and contractor must accept responsibility for communicating about crew delays, weather problems, materials availability, change orders and availability and management of subcontractors. To that end, I spoke with Anthony Hermosillo at the conclusion of our project and along with the positives I suggested and he agreed, that his communication about expected completion milestones could have been better. Since this was a first back yard landscape of a new home for us, I would offer the following: What we did right. Obtained multiple bids. This allows a good comparison of contractor personalities, design ideas, costs and construction materials. Along with those bids I visited recently completed sites and talked with the owners and about their experiences. Dont be afraid to ask for references and then check them out. Installed rain gutters and had the down spouts directed into underground drainage pipes to minimize side yard flooding. Do this first (if needed) because pipe trenching may need to be routed under areas to be covered with pavers, plants or other landscape materials. Asked the bidding contractors if they are licensed, insured and bonded. Get copies of documents and then verify their efficacy and standing with the state contractors board and insurance agencies. The state contractors website includes not only the licensees standing but reviews from customers as well. Read online reviews. Added provisions for more hose bibs, lighting, shade, drainage and storage for yard equipment and patio furniture in your design. Make sure you have money available for the inevitable change orders that occur during any landscape project. Make sure you agree to the payment schedule and the completion milestones tied to those payments. What Id do differently. Include not only a start date but a project completion date consistent with the agreed payment milestones as part of your contract. Provisions for weather events and materials availability should be discussed and agreed to. You may experience problems that require immediate action so be sure to have both primary and secondary contacts (English speaking if necessary), phone numbers and email addresses for both your contractor and the crew chief for your project. Before signing a contract, visit as many nurseries, neighborhood yards and review your HOA approved plant listings and develop a desired plant list for your design.

Azul is run by one of my long time best friends dad. So so glad we got a chance to use their business to transform our back yard in preparation for our wedding. In four days our yard went from useless and drab, to beautiful!

I uesd Azul Landscaping on three seperate occasions, first was on a brand new home in Gilbert Arizona. I both front and back yards. Azuls owner Anthony came out to bid the project and his professionalism and honesty was above par. He helped me with my design and offered his thoughts and I was more than pleased. Work was done in a timely manner and his crew was there when I was told and on time. Azul pricing was very competitive and fair. My second project was a back yard of my next house and the same for this one. Azul went above and beyond with this one with the design due to the exposed back fencing which is on a horse trail. The third and recent time was repair work for a irrigation timer and valves for the front yard of the home of the second project. I truly would recommend Azul Lanndscaping and Design for your landscaping needs at a fair and honest price. I am a truly happy customer!!!

Anthony was highly recommended to me as both my brothers used Azul Landscaping for their back yard overhauls and they were very pleased with the work completed. Tony came out and was VERY helpful with offering ideas to completely transform my back yard that had a 30 year old red wood deck that was just falling apart. Tonys crew was top notch, they were always very polite and went above and beyond to make everything fall into place. There were a couple hiccups along the way, which is to be expected with such a large transformation but Tony stood by his word and made sure everything was completed at 110% I would HIGHLEY recommend using Azul Landscaping as Tony and his team can make your dreams come true. We live in the same neighborhood as Anthony (AZUL), thus, we have seen many of his front yard projects, there are quite a few, easy to see why. When I first started the project I needed help with design services and Tony drew up a superb landscape that exceeded my expectation. First time using Azul Landscape & Design. I have had bad experiences using other landscape companies, so I was skeptical going into this small project of putting travertine in my backyard. Im a tough customer, and I was very happy with the results. The crew, and owner were easy to work with and the project was completed within the specified timeframe. I would recommend using Azul, and will likely use them again for future projects.

AZUL was fabulous. When you are buying a new home (new build) and have just a blank canvas of dirt in your front and back yard, the details can feel overwhelming. I drove through several subdivisions looking for the perfect design but came up short. I just didn t even know where to start w/ researching and contacting landscapers to help design and create a beautiful front & backyard. Finally, found AZUL through a couple of the homes in my neighborhood that started their landscaping (and their homes looked amazing), so I gave them a call. Anthony, the owner, has this creative eye and can build you a masterpiece by taking your vision and putting it on paper, as well as executing it with great craftsmanship and quality. He handled all the details and I absolutely love my front yard and backyard.

His team went above our expectations by installing separate watering zones for trees, plants, garden and grass. Even double staking the trees. Anthony and Azul Design and Landscape did a great job on our backyard. His crew worked quickly and were able to complete the remaining items for our backyard (artificial turf, rock, landscaping, and paver walkways/borders) in a short amount of time while making everything just as we pictured it. I appreciate his eye for landscape design and providing valuable feedback to ideas we had. His company does such a great job on turf installs and landscaping, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend him to friends and family.

One of my clients referred Azul to me when I mentioned I needed to redo our pool deck. The previous company that installed it did it incorrectly and I needed someone to fix it right. Anthony came over, listened to my concerns and committed to correcting the problem and prevent it from happening again. They just wrapped up today and we love it. We added fake turf as well and love how everything turned out. They go above and beyond to do the job right and we will actually be able to enjoy our yard now.

The final product is amazing. We had a lot of creativity in what we wanted done and Tony made it reality for us. He has a highly talented team that brought function and artistry to our backyard project. We could not be happier with the results. The only issue was that communication was not as high as I would have hoped. I would have liked more information throughout the process. This was overcome in the end by the results that Tony and his team provided.

We were very happy working with Azul Landscapes for our backyard design. Everything went smoothly from the first meeting to the completion of our backyard. I cannot rave enough about Azul Design & Landscape and Anthony. He saw the vision to create the backyard of our dreams. His team was able to see the concept of demolishing/removing all from our existing backyard (except pool) to create an oasis we are proud to showcase and enjoy for many years to come. Having a great, livable backyard in Arizona was always a dream for us, and now we get to enjoy it with friends and family. I highly recommend their services. 7/26/2018 Im really glad I found Anthony @ Azul Design & Landscape. They landscaped my entire front and backyard. The project included Travertine pavers, Artificial grass, Ramada, Out door Lighting, Drip Irrigation system, and planting trees, fruit trees, and shrubs. I met with several landscapers prior to selecting Azul Design & Landscape and early on I could see the difference in time and attention that I was getting with Anthony. I was so surprised how many other landscapers simply didnt follow up with a quote. The crews that worked on the project are broken up by expertise and are top notch on every level. Great workmanship, they always left the job site clean after each day, and I was able to easily communicate with them anytime I had a question. The foreman was awesome to work with and addressed all my of requests. In terms of price, they are really fair from all of my research. They also have generous warranties for all their work so thats another bonus. The project speaks for itself. I always get complements when family and friends come over and several of my neighbors have come by to ask me about the project because it turned out so well.

I read all 28 reviews and was so impressed by how much everyone loves Anthony. I called him and set up a consult to design our backyard. My husband and I arranged our work schedules and were ready to meet him but he never showed up. I called and texted and still 4 days later, have not received any word from the company. So disappointed.

Azul just finished a major project at our home. What a great job they did. Working with Anthony and his team was great. All of the workers were hardworking and focused. They worked hard to please us, and that they did.

Our family moved to Layton Lakes a couple of years ago and contacted several landscaping companies to give us a quote for doing our landscaping. Out of five contacted only two showed up and the most professional was Azul. Anthony listened attentively to what we wanted and the price range we could afford. He was familiar with the HOA demands and quickly presented us with a formal proposal that we accepted. His suggestions were on the money. It was one of the best decisions we made.
