To start… It is never a good feeling to leave anyone or their company a bad review for their services, but I have thought hard on this situation.. and after the experience I’ve had I think it’s fairly warranted. I found Carolina Outdoor by searching online for local companies in the area in hopes of being able to support a local business. To start I filled out my proposals, spoke with a team member and decided on pricing & services. The final decision was for routine yard maintenance and large shrubbery trimming. This all took place early season in April & I was quoted for both and we made plans for both. I emailed pictures of the shrubbery in my yard that would need cut back along with information about it as requested. After almost a month passed from the date planned for the shrubbery I contacted the company a couple of times (who never answers the phone) to reach out about the service. I was told that they were still waiting on dispatch. Okay, well no worries! I totally understand! .. and waited patiently for my yards turn. After several more weeks the company texts me and suggests I find another company for this work because they can not get to me. Lovely, after 2 months of waiting patiently I am now turned away. Still I continue to get my yard mowed because things happen & I still want to support a local company. Well besides a few hiccups things went fairly ok with yard service up until mid season in August. I come home one day and notice my yard is half mowed. None of my ditches are cut, nothing was blown, and the grass wasn’t cut along my fence line. I let it go & figured they may have a reason for having an off day.. I am not going to call about it. Then 2 weeks later Scott decides to email me one morning that my account has been closed. No warning, no explanation, just closed my account. I email back asking why my account is closed and he calls me back and informs me that he did not realize my yard had areas of gravel in it (from an old gravel driveway years ago) and he doesn’t feel comfortable. I informed him that a prior company had weed eated that area, and mowed the other areas of the yard (figured that might be helpful) and he said no. You’d think a landscaping company who’s websites states “When a problem arises, we pride ourselves in being able to think outside the box and solve the problem creatively” would make suggestions, offer additional services, know how to work around things like this, something to help me maybe fix this problem and work together on my yard? But no. Just closed my account without ever talking to me about it. He then states “I didn’t think it would be appropriate to call you at 7am and let you know I was closing your account”. Uh yeah, Scott you are completely right… and neither is sending me an email at 7am to start my day off telling me that my account has been closed without any explanation. In fact the professional thing to do would have been to call me the day you were at my house and developed your concerns and talked to me about it then, not send me an email 2 weeks later when my grass is long and ready for it’s next service. Especially when the last time you came you didn’t even completely service the yard, but still charged me the full amount (Mind you I didn’t even call & fuss about it, because I was giving benefit of the doubt for the situation). So Scott, you are correct, this did indeed put a “sour taste in my mouth”. Hence the poor review. Sounds like this company was just lazy and instead of helping me figure out my difficult yard… just sent a cowardly email that wasn’t professional. But still.. best of luck to ya and your company! I hope you treat other families and their homes with more kindness and professionalism than you did mine. P.S. He offered to come out one more time to mow (since it was my week to be serviced), which is the kind thing to do since you waited until I was due for my next service, following a half completed job prior, to then cancel me and leave me with an over due yard and scrambling to find someone new… no one showed. Go figure.
We have had Carolina Outdoor Creations mowing our lawn for the past few years. They have always done a great job at a reasonable price and are always very responsive when I contact them to stop for the winter and restart for spring/summer. We recently had them clean up the landscape beds in front of our house that we let overgrow. I think I unintentionally undersold how much work the job was and they let me know what they needed to do to clean it up properly and still got it all done. They did it so fast and made it look so much nicer than we could have done ourselves. They really know what they're talking about when it comes to keeping your yard looking great.
I had some trees installed. One of them failed to leaf out. Eventually after calling multiple times with no answer, I went by their office and Scott agreed to look at the trees. Other trees seem to be taking on the infection, I’ve reached out multiple times and there’s been no answer to phone calls or text messages. I’m still waiting on a return phone call. Take your business elsewhere.
Scott and his crew did a spectacular job. They were nice, professional, respectful and accommodating. They completed it in a timely manner. Where the grass did not grow back left the pattern for my landscaping pattern. It’s exactly what I envisioned. I love it and would definitely recommend them to others. Love it!!! 😊
I went to visit the finished showroom last week and I have to say Scott has really outdone himself! I've done business with a few landscaping companies over the past years but I have never seen anything like it. The showroom is set up beautifully, in a way that really highlights their work. I definitely recommend Scott, Erin, and the whole team! Stop by and see the showroom! You will not be disappointed!

Our backyard was very overgrown and had an old swing and old yard tools and anold fence. They removed it all and made the back yard look amazing!

Most reviews here detail the companies handling of lawn work which Ive had repair work done for me that was very nice. What isnt known is they also build patios which there arent many companies doing in my area. Mr. Braswell worked with me on several designs on what I would like for my patio shape and was very patient with me as we went back and forth between size and price and found a happy medium. He went above and beyond with his design to incorporate a lovely wall around my palm tree and fire pit and made sure the palm tree was a part of the patio itself. He and I are both proud of the work and no doubt it will be featured on his companys website for all to see and I hope others will be able to get the patio of their dreams as well.
Since moving to Raleigh Scott and his crew have been maintaining my lawn and have always done a fantastic job. They are professional, show up on time and do a great job for a great price. I highly recommend them.

There name suits them perfectly. They mow blow and go dont expect edging and wead eating. Scalping and digging ruts (from turning the zero turn tight) should be added to there list of specialties. I tried to reach out to Scott several times regarding this (he doesnt like phones) so I emailed pictures on different occasions. I got a few excuses and the same sub par service needless to they are no long servicing my yard.
This company built a dry creek bed for me to solve a water problem on my and my neighbor s property. Scott was very helpful in making suggestions that saved me money. He and his crew worked very fast so I was not billed for excessive labor. Yard care is their primary business and I cannot rate on that as I take care of that myself but they did a good job with my hardscape.
Mow Blow & Go came to my rescue a few years ago, and I do mean rescue. They had to kill everything and start anew. This resulted in grass as it should be. Of course, it took time after what the previous service did and didnt do. I now have velvety green grass. Scott and Brandon are responsive to my needs and my budget. Billing is never a problem and there has not been a single mistake in their accounting. Once you set up your schedule you need not give it further thought. Call them. You will be glad you did.
Dont recommend doing business with these people. There is a reason they have consistently poor reviews. Their CEO Scott Braswell is very rude and immature when dealing with customer grievances and will not hesitate to resort to childish insults. I hired them last summer, during the winter they continued to bill me each month without even so much as visiting the property. My wife made numerous attempts to contact them not only due to the inconsistent bills but the fact when they were coming out during the summer months they would carelessly run over and break things in the yard such as meter boxes or water valve covers without even informing us of the damages. They also dont tell you when they will be visiting so its impossible to plan for them to show up. It was not until I stopped paying them and filed a complaint with the consumer protection agency that I received a very rude and condescending response in the form of a letter in which their CEO called me childish and preposterous for asking his business for any evidence that their duties were performed during the winter months they billed me. This business is a scam and I wouldnt be surprised if there is already a case file on them even before my complaint. I highly recommend that the other people who have complained on here or those reading this that feel cheated, please report them to the NC Consumer Protection Agency so we can make sure others arent getting taken advantage of by this awful company.

I have known Scott and his family for years, and currently use some of their services. Scott is very knowledgeable when it comes to lawn care and horticulture and he will take the time to explain it to you, if you are interested. I have been around him when when an inexperienced new home owner asked him many questions about how to care for a lawn. He patiently explained everything to this new home owner until they felt comfortable with how a lawn should be maintained. I highly recommend Mow Blow and Go of NC!
I have had nothing but positive experiences with this company! I never have to worry if they are coming. The owner is very is personable, the prices are very reasonable and the schedules are like clockwork. The gentlemen cut my grass are also very nice. I am a relatively new customer, but appreciate the fact that I dont have people ringing my doorbell asking for money, or asking how I want the grass blown, they truly mow, blow and go! THANKS SCOTT!

Avoid these guys the owner is a fraud does not do good business more than likely he is cheating you out of money do not get your grass cut by him
Reached out to them, spoke with them on the phone, agreed upon a price, and when they came out apparently charged 20 dollars more for the first visit. I work from home, and noted their arrival and departure for the 2 visits they completed. The guys who did it even admitted they didnt do the entire yard the first visit due to it being a little wet. When I emailed the company about this, they said it was on their website, which was never mentioned during our conversation, and told me my account was closed. Not a great experience, I recommend taking your business elsewhere.
They broke our sliding glass door months ago and still havent fixed it. Avoid these guys at all costs.
