King GREEN in Gainesville

Today, the Svc Rep did not treat my entire lawn. He made only two passes in a section where more passes are required to spray the entire area. This is the second time that I have witnessed this!

I was told I would receive two free treatments due to their mistakes. Come to find out they did not stand by what they told me and then I ended up owing for one of the services. Lesson learned .be sure you receive everything in writing regarding any changes or offers. The manager Wei s not stand by their word.

UPDATE: Just wanted to provide an update regarding King Green. The Director of Sales and Marketing reached out to me regarding g my reviews. We corresponded via email and she, with my approval connected me to Derriff, Manager. Derriff and I were able to speak and he came back out to treat my lawn. Derriff came out to inspect my lawn and provide the necessary treatment. He apologized profusely and let me know that there was a slight disconnect. Thank you to the King Green team for taking swift action. DO NOT use King Green for your lawn care needs. The customer service they provide is HORRIBLE and they indeed lie about application. I cancelled my service today, because weeds are growing on the side of my house. I was just informed they do not treat the area and I cold pay for that additional service. Previously the area was being treated and I placed rocks to assist with mitigating any weeds. When I advise King Green they gave pushback so I asked to cancel. They sent an email within seconds to say the service is cancelled. King Green DOES NOT care about customer service or loyalty. #ThiscompanyisNOTloyal. I sent an email to Tabitha with the information associated with my account, but have not heard back from her as of 4/5/24. I will update accordingly.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! Hire at your own risk. If you cancel service with them they will keep charging you and say that you didnt cancel. Then fraudulently put it on your credit report. You have been forewarned!

Do not use this company. They damaged my property with the chemicals they use. Then get mad when I a their repairs was not done correctly. Saying they went above and beyond when it clearly shows they sanded my house and didnt paint it back correctly

I have neither the time or the expertise to do the required maintenance on my lawn. King Green has me on a schedule, I dont have to call them, they just show up. They maintain my lawn, trees & shrubs, all year round, & when done, they send me an email letting me know what was done & why. My property has never looked better. They are well worth the money.

King Green keeps my yard looking great and free of weeds. I have been using them for many years, and their service is always prompt and appropriate for the type of lawn I have and the seasonal conditions.

Decided to terminate their service after several years - not sure what changed but their staff was extremely rude and I had to call multiple times to complain about quality of lawn esp. lack of weed control. They stopped my service without informing me because there was a pending payment- interestingly when I mentioned that I had not read any invoice from them they did not want to take responsibility. I still paid them promptly online as always yet there was no action. I realize they have many more customers and I have many more lawn service companies so it is okay. However they would definitely benefit to look into customer service both in terms of their staff interaction with customers and very importantly quality of work that has gone down.

Had an equipment failure on the last application. KING GREEN made it right without delay. I trust them completely to do the right thing.

EDIT to initial review: I received one phone call from Anthony and did return the call (left a message). And I communicated multiple times with the office. We have been using King Green for about 2 years and have been generally satisfied. However, this spring, our front zoysia turf didnt green up in large patches. We requested, on numerous occasions, to have someone come and look at the turf to diagnose it. We requested that service be discontinued until we could figure out what was going on (their product is, literally, healthy turf...so why keep treating and paying). They just kept sending whatever tech with whatever product on their truck that we were scheduled for. We finally just stopped paying the bill to get the service to stop. For what its worth, we called another company that has diagnosed the issue as a fungus. That has now been treated and we are confident well have healthy, green turf again by next season. So disappointed with King Green!

I have been using King Green for 3+ years. The customer service is excellent. Management went above and beyond to address my property concerns more than once. They communicate and work with customers very well. They really stand out in making sure the customer is well taken care of. I reccomend them without reservation. I have been very pleased with everyone I interacted with in the company. I had very little grass when I started. Niw I have one of the most beautiful lawns in my neighborhood!

Weve had them for years and thought they were great but things started to change. Too many weeds and lawn looks sickly. Price kept going up as well. I just fired them and seeking a new service now.

Do not hire this lawn care company!! I had them servicing my yard for a little over a year and 6 months in I knew we were going to have a problem. I had signed up for the my whole yard including pine island. They treated my very very small front yard (grass section) to look decent. Of course bc they wanted to place there sign in my yard to attempt to get the rest of my neighbors business. Yet my recent freshly installed landscaping of scrubs soon had very type of weed popping up every 6 inches. I have a large backyard and you name a weed it was there. I called king green and explained my disappointment. They sent a manager out to review my yard. When he showed up at 7:30am he looked a mess- not in uniform, another random person supposedly training , and the manager looked as if he came straight from the bar. I had to even call king green to verify the person was legit. I then walked the yard and you couldn t take one step without seeing/stepping on weeds. I shared with king green my disappointment again a month later when the free treatment did nothing. I shared I wasn t going to pay my bill until they made it right bc I wasn t paying for a service I DID NOT receive. King green said no problem they would make it right. Another manager came out and shared my yard looked terrible (and he knew it) bc I missed treatments bc my bill hadn t been paid. I told him I know it s not paid bc my yard looks WORSE than when they started. DO NOT hire this company they are completely UNETHICAL.

I live on a mountain top. The soil and grass can be extremely challenging. Over a year of using them and Ive seen tremendous improvement. Ive had an excellent experience so far

We used this service for over 10 years and were satisfied with the service until the last year ...the service went progressively downhill...we watched out the window one day to observe why ...the service person only got out of his car to place a sign in the front yard..got back in his car to eat lunch and then left...we called and reported this to the office and they stated they would send someone else out to retreat the yard. we happened to be home when they again sent the same individual to treat the yard ...he sprayed a limited area for a few minutes and put another sign in the yard...got back in his car and left...we again reported this to the office and cancelled the service...they charged us for this service and when we refused to pay they turned us over to a collection service...we had paid them 1000s of dollars over 20 plus years of service..sorry way to treat customers...from reading reviews I see we are not alone

They emailed me on Friday July 09 and said they were coming on Monday. They billed me for services that were not performed on Monday July 12, 2021. I know this because I was home all day. The driveway alarm never activated and the security cameras never recorded their presence. The gate to the lake side yard was locked, preventing their employee from treating that lawn. Finally they did not leave their King Green Caution cutout in the lawn. However, they did email a bill at noon on Monday, charging me for the service that was never performed. I did not pay that fraudulent bill and I demanded the return of my initial $25.00 for the first treatment because I noticed that 3 days after that so called treatment that no weeds in the lawn had died. While they did promise to return my initial $25, they never did! This company is simply not ethical!

Had to cancel due to lack of proper treatment. The guy would spend 45 seconds spraying my yard and leave. Always had to keep on asking for reapplications. Ridiculous.

One of the drivers flew through my subdivision and hit a neighbor s mailbox. We occasionally have elderly out walking or children out playing. The guy looked like he was in his 20 s or 30 s with a goatee and brown hair

King green reached out to me to provide service for my yard. After multiple services my yard did improve as promised. I called them to discuss if we need to change treatment type or cancel service. No response instead I kept getting bills for service with still no results. I had to hire another company to come and resolve the issue which was in 2 services. Instead of communicating with me they sent my account to collections for $100. Horrible service both actual and customer.

Had them for about a year they killed my lawn, always had weeds still they kept telling me excuses, my lawn is improved since re-sodding and taking care of it ourselves, neighbors still have them their trucks block my driveway all the time so he s not inconvenienced by moving his truck to get both neighboring houses guys drive really fast through neighborhoods and antagonize peoples dogs

King Green treated half my lawn on accident. The over spray got onto my Berry plants. I called to report the damage and after speaking with someone was forwarded to an unknown manager voice mail and got no response...

The King Green Rep was very personable. Explained the invoice received. He let me know when I would see the weeds start to die off. I was also notified the day before to expect my service the next day! Awesome customer service!

We have had King Green for a year now. When they first started servicing our lawn, we thought the lawn was starting to look worse. So they came to check it out and said it was because we needed a full year of service to fully treat the grass. It has now been over a year and our grass looks worse than it ever has! There is an EXTENSIVE amount of crab grass and weeds that never went away, they come back after every single time we mow the lawn. Now this year, there are HUGE bare spots where grass wont even grow. I submitted a request to pay for additional services and have aeration done over 2 months ago and no one reached out to schedule. I called 2 weeks ago for help on our worsening lawn and they said a manager would call my husband to schedule and would come out to look. Still no word. On top of that, I have to call back to back multiple times before I even get anyone on the phone and then sometimes I am passed around to different departments until I am back to the operator. As of today I cancelled my service and will be hiring a new company. Sorry King Green, I gave you a solid year of business and money.

Had them for 1 year now, my yard was well established. This year bare patches & not fully in yet & its mid June.

We just started with these guys after trying to maintain our lawn by ourselves the last few years. Im only giving 4 stars for now until I see that they can fix the weed issue with my lawn. The person who came out was very friendly and explained to me what they do and what other options I could add on.

I have been usi g King Green for around 3 years All was well until they stopped treating my back yard and now have been ghosted. They will not respond to my emails. The front lawn looks great but the back is full of weeds. I will be switching my service. I told them so and they dont seem to care

Technician Eric J Stewart was fantastic!! I was outside walking with my sister and her dog and we spoke with Eric. He explained everything to us that he was going to do. I asked some questions regarding my lawn, he was very knowledgeable. It was an absolute pleasure speaking with him. I really would like him to be our technician for now on if possible.

I would like have walked the lawn with the Tec before my first treatment.

We have used King Green for many years and have always been very pleased with their work. We pay for the entire year and get a price break and also a senior citizens break which we appreciate. Their techs are always friendly and people I can talk to and ask questions of when I need to know something. Just last month I called their office and told the lady that we had more weeds than we had ever had in our bermuda grass and could they send out someone to spot spray our weeds. Within the next two or three days we had a tech spraying our yard at no cost to us. I have recommended King Green to neighbors and friends who were looking for a good yard service company many times and will continue to do so. T. McFerrin

King Green arrived to airate our lawn. Two people with two machines. One person sped to the rear yard and was running the machine at top speed. The other person doing the front yard was very methodical about the process. As a result of the person speeding thru the back yard, the machine broke down and had to be towed to the truck. There were a few areas missed in the rear yard as a result. Perhaps if King Green would take the methodical approach, they could perform a better job for the customer especially with the price they charge. They also have no additional tools to airate close to the patio or the strip on the curb.

Kyle of King Green came by on a Thurs to spray our yard for mosquitos. He noticed I was in the middle of yard work and called to let me know he didnt want to interrupt, so he would reschedule for another day. Kyle called a couple of days later and came out for our treatment. This is the second time that Kyle has gone out of his way to work to my schedule. My yard was in horrible condition with weeds all over. After the first treatment I was told to wait 2 weeks before cutting and I did just that. I saw the weeds dying and felt good. The second treatment is done and I am excited. Tony who does the treatment in my area is very cordial, pleasant and keeps me informed. He gave me information about when to water, when to cut and timeframe for next treatment. He reassured me that my lawn will be beautiful again. I give King Green 10/10 for customer service, dedication and hard work. I definitely recommend.

Ive used them for years now with 2 properties in Fort Mill and always have the nicest Bermuda lawn in the hood. They guarantee the treatments so if you arent satisfied they make it right. Best lawn care business hands down.

Terrible, only took them about 4 or 5 years to ruin a perfectly good Bermuda lawn. Last year called because of the weeds coming out of winter. Lady gave me a great excuse. This year my lawn was covered with another type of grass. Their excuse, it will burn of in June and July. Needless to say I don t use them now

Have paid them to treat our yard for several years. This year we have weeds all over the place. Fired them.

One reason for choosing a lawn service is for weed control. I have been disappointed in the poor control achieved. I have had to spend several hours pulling crabgrass by hand. Now there are still a lot of different weeds. I guess I will have to see how things go over the next few months before I make a final judgement.

It looked as if I got a liquid treatment my front zoysia and some dripped and bleached the grass. Please be more careful. E Seng

Your company had been servicing, my lawn for over a year now you guys are doing a great job you keep to time but there are still so much weed on my lawn.

Since we have been with King Green our lawn has definitely made a 360* degree change in it s growth and the weeds are all gone. By our home being 1st in the sub division it is imperative that our lawn is on point. I must say King Green has made that possible for us. Our grass has become truly more healthier and it shows! Very bad service! I keep telling the company that herbicide applications do nothing. They say I have to wait for the results. I put new grass in my yard about a year ago so there would be no more excuses. Now the new lawn is completely infested with weeds. New owners who have been running their business for about two years, are giving a verry poor quality service.

Stay away from this company. Bad weed control and even worse customer service. They aeriated my yard without even requesting permission and did a bad job in the process. I had been with King Green for many years. Didnt realize how bad they are until I got rid of them. Do yourself a favor. Go with someone else!

We have used King Green for almost 2 years now. We live in a very tight neighborhood where homes are very close to one another. One thing that really shows is who is having their yard treated by King Green and who s not. Happy to say our yard definitely shows the King Green difference!

King Green has the greatest employees that create the best results! Their technicians are knowledgeable and the customer service is local and readily available. I would recommend King Green to anyone I know.

Lawn best in neighborhood!

I used KG out of Gainesville when I lived in Cumming, Ga and the service was 5 star. I moved to Jefferson, Ga and used KG out of Gainesville, Ga again. They started off well. I gave them a glowing 5 star rate about how well they restored the failing Bermuda Grass in the yard. However, in about 2 years, the service started going down. The last year they served my yard it seemed that I spoke to a different person each time I called and each time I was told there was no record of my previous call and that was why no one called me back and/or that was why the requested service had not been done or that or that no one had respond to my request for a call back. In addition a new services I requested failed to be performed at the right seasonal time so it didnt work well at all. The year I requested weed control it was just not done and I had more weeds than I every had before but I was billed for it.

Very happy with the change in our lawn after switching to King Green from one of their local competitors. Friendly and helpful staff as well! Highly recommend!

I just spent another weekend trying to fix what s left of my lawn after wasting a year trusting that king green would help me get rid of the weeds in my yard. I discontinued my service once I had more weeds than grass. When I told them the weeds were returning, they came out and spread some lime. That s when I knew I had chosen poorly. If you have plenty of money and enjoy thick, healthy weeds instead of grass; you should call king green. Or you could do nothing and save your time and money. The results are the same.

King Green has done a great job for me especially on my lawn. I know my beds are hard to keep all the weeds out and would like to see a little extra work on those but for the most part they do a GREAT job!

I started using King Green about a year ago, now my lawn looks better than ever. The grass is so thick, green and weed free. In the Fall they did Aeration and Seeding and were able to get grass to grow in the areas that we have moss for over 20 years, and we have tried everything to get grass to grow there. Their staff is more than friendly, they are attentive, informative and they actually care, not only about the customer but about my lawn. From the looks of it they treat my lawn like it is their own and it looks INCREDIBLE !!!!

We met Elon, the guy who services our lawn today. And we really likes him. Super knowledgeable, nice, cares about his job. Just wanted to say he is awesome!! Cant get enough of how beautiful our lawn looks!!! Before King Green our lawn was green, but had spots in the yard.... just never looked beautiful. After using king Green now for almost 3 months, our lawn is thick, lush and green throughout!! Just want to say thank you, yall are awesome!! And Elon, our tech ROCKS!!!

Terrible! My lawn is COVERED with weeds. They are everywhere. Also, KingGreen keeps spreading fertilizer pellets on my driveway and patio; I have to go out and blow every time KingGreen services my lawn. Ive called about the problems multiple times with no resolution. Absolutely terrible company. Id give them 0 stars but the min rating is 1. Awful.

We used these guys for a full year with no appreciable results and in fact our yard got MORE weeds (sedge chiefly among them) along with crab grass and other assorted goodies. All of this was ignored by the techs coming to treat the lawn (whom we never saw arrive and treat, by the way, and we have 1.25 acres). The turf did not fill in despite using the irrigation system regularly and pruning back the trees to increase the sunlight for the Bermuda grass. We also had the bush and hedge treatment service and despite a year of treatments for a pretty hefty price the bushes were eaten up with bugs(hence were turning brown) which was an easy problem to diagnose (the new company caught it in a matter of minutes, these guys did not do anything at all to address this problem) and the weeds were non-stop in our beds. So the bush and hedge treatment either was not done, was not done properly, or was not done fully. Either way, after one year, we have hired a new service and are paying them a lot of money to fix the problems these guys didnt address (and which got worse as a result of the same). The improvement in the yard is very visible now and the bushes and turf look a lot better just after 4-6 weeks with the new service. We used the aeration service twice (also at a hefty markup from the new folks we use) and it also was also not done properly, parts of the yard were not done at all and others were not done well, the divots from aeration were not visible so it sure seemed like parts of the yard were skipped, and I am saying this as someone who did and installed landscapes for a number of years. The one thing they seem focused upon with a high degree of detail is the effort to quickly bill you, we heard from them the day after service was rendered about payment as if we had not paid them for 2-3 months at a time, it was offputting to be nagged about payment literally before we could get payment out. So, having said all of this we will not recommend them to any of our neighbors, the technicians are either not trained properly or are not doing what they are being paid to do (or both). I will add to all the comments that the new company, whose techs are trained and we have already noticed an improvement after 2 treatments, is cheaper than these guys.

wife saw them intentionally spray my dog w chemicals, owner intentionally cut off my 16 yo daughter after going around her illegally at stop sign after school...she came home in tears and horrified...these folks are AHs

I have been a King Green customer for several years and have always had great service from everyone at King Green...from the technicians to their customer service in the office! There have been a couple of occasions when I have needed extra advice about making my lawn look its best. (...Once concerning new sod put down after septic field additions and the other about bushes struggling from root rot.) Both times, after calling the office, the manager came out personally to my home within 2-3 days and gladly advised me on steps that would be beneficial to my lawn or bushes! There was NO CHARGE for the consult and he was very friendly and helpful, acting as though I was his most important client of the day!! I am very grateful for the wonderful care and personal service King Green always gives us!

Had service for a few years and stopped even after good service. Im restarting the service soon and hope that KG continues to give me quality service. The one thing that I hoped has changed is that instead of just plopping down that little sign in the yard about service, WRITE what you did, be it pre-emergent, fertilizer, weed/feed.. Write something! I would like to know. And about customer service - so far, theyve been Great!

King Green had quite the task in turning my lawn around, but they are true professionals and knew EXACTLY what my lawn needed. I get questions all the time like How did you get your grass so green?! And Are they doing something extra? Thanks KingGreen, you guys are awesome. Also the people up front who answer the phones are rockstars! Never any issues.

I was with King green for over a year. When they came to service they were there for maybe 5 minutes and left. My yard continued to have bald spots and weeds. My yard was serviced off schedule one day which happened to be the same day my grass was cut. I called to complain as this made the fertilizer pointless. Was told later they came out a different day. No receipt was left that day and I work from home and did not see a truck. Customer service is horrible as now I am paying for that service. Leaving for a different company.

Poor service I signed up with them for lawn care and they came out the first time but did not call to schedule the second treatment until 4 months later. By that time my lawn was already full of weeds. I cancel my service with the lady on the phone and will never do business or recommend their services.

After two years with this company I finally quit using them bc I still had huge weed problems and they either responded with rudeness about coming back out or wouldnt come at all. Find another company.
