Im changing my 5 star reviews to a 1 star review. After several years of using Chorbie and recommending them to others I started receiving unsatisfactory service from them. After missing a service I contacted their office to find out when to expect treatment and was told that Chorbie had decided to terminate servicing my property. I was set up on an an automatic payment plan, so no payment was ever late. My concern was that I had problems with my yard which were blamed on rabbits and lack of sunlight. After addressing these issues Chorbie still could not make my yard look good again and continued to blame the condition of my yard on rabbits and lack of sun. At this point, I requested to have a different person service my property and was told this was not possible. Their solution was to terminate my service without even having the decency of informing me they had terminated the service. So, I wont be using their service for anything again.

While the initial crew that showed up apparently left quite a bit undone, the next technician (Drew) that came out, did a very thorough job and even brought up concerns of his that were not related to the sprinkler work. Chorbie has been a great addition to my home services. They were definitely the cost leader in terms of lawn service and have always had a prompt response team. Chad Harris has been my account manager and has done an excellent job wrangling all of my requests and keeping on top of any support issues I may come across. I use them for the following: Lawn Mowing Lawn Fertilization Lawn Aeration Tree Care Flower Bed Cleaning Flower Bed Mulching Pool Cleaning with Nathan specifically I do find their prices really great for the Lawn Service and Pool Services. When it comes to the more custom things like landscaping, they are a bit on the higher end. But it is nice to have all the services in a one stop shop. I do wish they had one central billing mechanism so I would get ONE monthly bill for all my services. But thats my only complaint =)

I used them once and I cancelled right after that first service. The grass that they mowed got all over my new mulch and they didn t even blow and left my grass bushy in the front. Never never will I use them again

If youre lucky enough to get her, you can rest assure your lawn is in great hands. Im amazed at how great my lawn looks now compared to using a different company last year. Marcus from Chorbie did the treatment on my lawn this past week. Once again, he did a thorough job, including blowing off any fertilizer granules off the sidewalk and driveway. He also provided me some notes afterwards. I was very satisfied with his service.

Customer beware! This company unresponsive. There have been numerous times in the past where I have asked for various services to not get the services and need to follow up multiple times. After realizing I spend over $500 a month with this company for various services I asked for an invoice. Like I mentioned before they are so unresponsive. I called, left a message. No response. Various emails, no response. Finally they email me back to say they had just tried calling and it went to voicemail. That is not true. I m sitting here staring at my phone. I clarify if they have the right number. Says he calls again. No answer. Again, no phone call. I ask him For his phone number. I call and it goes to voicemail. I ask for an invoice for the services. All it includes is the amounts paid. No break down for what anything even was. For spending so much I would think I would receive better service. Also in terms of the quality of their work. Their flower bed folks are great. The lawn mowers are terrible. Grass is always uneven. Whatever they have been applying to my grass to kill weeds is useless.

I recently had to talk to Estefany Mora, Client Account Manager, regarding a charge for bed and brush work in which the yard guys performed some work that I didnt request. She was very cordial and courteous. She recalculated the time required for the job downward (estimate of time for work not requested) and reduced my charges for this job without question. I find Chorbie to be a very above-board and principled company and I plan to continue using their services in the future.

Chorbie is the most professional lawn mowing service I have ever used. They communicate well with me, keeping me informed of changes to mowing schedules due to inclement weather, etc. They are responsive. I asked to have the height of the mowing blades changed and it was done immediately. The guys who do the mowing are nice, efficient, and reliable.

Changing from a 5 star review to a 1 star review. I have been a Chorbie customer for years and have referred several people to use them but I am cancelling service as of today. I have weekly mowing service, plus weed & fertilizer service that I pre-pay for totaling over $2100/year at my elderly parents home. They have asked the lawn crew many times to please trim the grass pictured below but they were told that is additional service. I called my account manager to see if something can be done and he offered me hourly service at $64/hour. If the lawn could be done in a half hour this would increase my annual bill over $1000 to do 2 minutes of additional work because they have rocks around the trees and in front of the house. UPDATE: I received a call back and Jody offered 6 free months of flower bed service after which would be $39.99/month. So it wouldnt be over $1000/year but only $320 for 8 months of flower bed care that I dont need.

Chorbie, your service lately has really gone down hill. 4 weeks to get estimate on tree service, multiple calls with really long wait time and no response from anyone. I spoke to Jodi multiple times and never hear back from her. When I called again to speak with a manager, Stephanie refused to transfer me and put me on extended hold. About 3 months ago, I stopped getting their mowing complete emails on 2 of my properties. Chorbie started off great 4 years ago, but lately its a customer service nightmare. As I write this, I am still on hold for 11 minutes to speak with a manager.

Have nutsedge in my whole yard. I contacted Chorbie to come out and service it. The tech came and was at my house for a total of 5 min per my cameras. The areas that were treated it killed the nutsedge. The rest of the areas still have issues. I contacted Chorbie and was told they wouldn t send anyone else out because nutsedge was a hard weed to kill. Problem is if the technician would have taken the time to actually walk my yard and not focus on being at my house for 5 min my issue would have been fixed.

Everything looks absolutely wonderful

Our two men per hour of work turned out to be one man for the better part of 3.5-4.0 hours. He worked in all but the worst part of the rain, then had to disappear to his truck till the storm passed. He returned and finished an amazing job of pulling up some terribly overgrown weeds and rye grass. When finished, he hauled off all the weeds, leaving a few good growths of vinca vines separated by patches of freshly turned soil from which he pulled the weeds, root and all. Our thanks go to him for doing a very good job. I m enclosing a before photo of the area. Just wish I d gotten out there to take an after picture to show the drastic difference.

David serviced our lawn for fire ant control today. He was very thorough and explained how it works. He even treated the large hills individually in addition to the entire yard. Fingers crossed we see them totally gone within 30-45 days. He said they ll retreat free of charge if they aren t gone!

I paid for the grass to be bagged, and when I got home, the mowers werent using a grass catcher on the mower. Once they checked with Chorbie, they had to remow the entire yard, but only had one garbage bag with them. I had to provide them with lawn bags. Then they just left the bags in the driveway. Not pleased with my first mow by Chorbie.

These people were mowing my lawn spring and into summer 2023 but I canceled the service because they repeatedly mowed my St Augustine too short at 1 despite my request for 2.25. The lawn is in full sun and has been suffering between the sub zero winter weather, high Sumner heat, and drought conditions. The result f excessively close mowing was the exposed sod was getting baked to death in the sun and heat last summer. No amount of communication could resolve this so their service was canceled. Other than repeatedly ignoring directive for lawn height and killing my lawn they did a decent job of mowing and edging, and did show up reliably. If you have a sprinkler system and use 10,000 gallons per month or more of water on your front lawn keeping your st Augustine wet it probably will survive their care, because that was what I had to use in July while giving the grass enough time to grow back enough to shade the soil. Typically, I water conservatively during drought and desire to use a minimum amount of irrigation not a maximum. I canceled their service last July due to this but diligent as they are they came back in March of 24 anyway and NOT at request. So if you engage their service they will show up on stated schedule but you may have a difficult time canceling it as I surely did. For a lawn service I would expect them to know their grasses and associated maintainance height better. At a minimum, they should at least provide what is requested by the customer. Here is a photo of some freshly mowed winter rye with my dead St Augustine from last year which is unfortunately still struggling to come back with only 1/3rd of the originally 100% coverage prior to their service. In response to Owner: No contact needed but thank you. You have lost my trust in your operation. It will take me 2 years to get my lawn back such as it was before your service. Ive called to make sure that the service is indead canceled, which they explained that it is now, again. I gave my feedback on your crew needing to be educated on tbe basics of different area grasses and acknowledged them working hard at what they do. The only problem is grass height, but that is a huge one. I do to want to come home to a neatly clipped too short lawn that is dying from having the roots baked by summer sun. Train your people regarding grass height. I trusted you for mowing, you dont have to butcher the hell out of my lawn to make it obvious that you mowed it. Tall and even works better than buzzed to the ground. It even looks better than Buzzed bare. Good luck to you in 24 growing season.

We called Chorbie in need of a one time leaf removal service before we moved. Mads help get us scheduled very quickly and was very responsive and helpful. Throughout the process I also spoke with Jodi multiple times and she was so patient and kind to me, it made the whole process super easy. The crew that came out to do our leaves were fast and did a great job. We had lived at our current house for fives years and this crew was the first crew to ever take the few seconds to pick up my dog s toys that we didn t realize were still outside. Cheaper in price but as they say, you get what you pay for they show up whenever they want and take shortcuts like skipping the entire backyard and leaving a mess.

5 STARS FOR CHORBIE! I desperately needed a mow before Easter and could not find a company that could come out last minute! I called Chorbie and was able to get next day service! The tech came out and did a fantastic job! Highly recommend!!

Chorbie is the best yard and landscape company I have ever worked with. All the techs are trained professionals that seem to have one goal. . . customer satisfaction. For instance, the Bush and Bed team, lead by José, have been doing our yard for over 10 years. His work is outstanding. Always paying attention to detail. José and his team keep this yard looking it s best and it is so appreciated. Chorbie is a full service company from lawn mowing to tree trimming. All the teams are lead by licensed professional. They give a guarantee of satisfaction or the team will return at no charge to make it right. It the 10+ years Chorbie has serviced our home we have never had to take the company up on that guarantee.

An Unfortunate turn of events. Started service about July of last year and are now moving on. As the season started we were testing the sprinklers to ensure they were set correctly. We found 5 that needed to be replaced. We went ahead and contacted them to let them know what had occurred. After a credit was issued it was agreed that should anymore sprinkler heads be damaged please notify us and replace them. We keep extra heads on hand just in case this happens. Two weeks later, it happened again. One of the heads that has just been replaced looked like a geyser at Yellowstone. We contacted them the same day it was damaged (Monday) and left a message. No response. Called again on Wednesday and spoke to Hanna and she informed us that either she or one of the crew managers would call us back. A text was sent on Thursday to see if anyone was coming to assist with the matter. After no response we decided to go with another service and cancelled our service on Friday. This is when they decided to contact us, let us know someone works be by on Monday, and try to save the contract. At this point we had already contacted another service. On Monday a man came by to change it and we informed him of the aforementioned. He explained that unfortunately the lawn guys do not speak English and there is a communication barrier. We informed him that one of us is a fully fluent Spanish speaker. He then said that THEY did not know that. I informed him that I had personally spoken to them on a few occasions so this was not an acceptable excuse. I understand that in modern society this happens. However, if this was the case, they should have noted the incident and reported it to the office. This would have allowed an English speaking representative to then call us and ask if anything had been damaged.

Asked them to come and trim two tree under six feet. Quotes me 64 per hour for each man. They charged me 250 dollars. For two small trees and refused to rectify the amount. Also mowed the lawn in the front and not in the back but charged me anyways. Very poor customer service.

They missed to mow a large area around the house (although I had ask them to and it was really easy to see) and were not helpful when I called them to follow up. Really frustrating experience.

I have tried to set up additional services with then. They only do appointments during business hours. What kind of company doesnt have after hours or weekend appointments? I have been trying for 3 months to get them out to teach us how to use our sprinkler system which costs $119. They do not call they only text and when they do its impossible to have a conversation. I called today and was told the irrigation manager was in the field and could not talk. So they have one person who can manage this? I am a customer and I urge you to look elsewhere. Beware of the company Chorbie!! They must have changed management because not only is the lawn service not as good as it has been, the customer service has definitely declined. I called to cancel my service after being with them for 5+ years, then they suddenly charged my card on file $450!!! When I called back to find out why this huge charge, I was told that I owed them that amount, but there was no mention of this amount being owed when I called to cancel my service at the end of last week. Why would you continue to provide a service that you re not being paid for? After so many years of being happy, I am now VERY unhappy with Chorbie!

Has management changed? Been using Chorbie for about 3 years and sadly their service has declined tremendously. Their techs are more concerned with getting in and out than actually completing the task properly and thoroughly. When I provided the company video proof of their half done job, I was told it was done correctly. How was it done correctly when HALF my property was missed? Will be switching services. Dont waste your time. Find a company that cares. Chorbie just isnt it anymore.

We use Chorbie for fertilization/weed/insect control, as well as for weekly lawn maintenance. Cesar Arias and his crew cut my grass nearly every week, and to do an amazing job! They are quick, clean up well, and always cut my grass very evenly. We have a large, irregularly shaped yard, and have had trouble finding good lawn care in the past; Cesar and crew do a great job. The fertilization and pest control services are good also. Unlike most others, they include treatment for Nutsedge, as well as insects such as grubs and fire ants. With included spot treatments, they are a one stop shop for my lawn maintenance needs, and I really appreciate that.

We were a customer for 6 years and Chorbie lawncare has gone downhill. In the past weeks Chorbie had been mowing only front lawn and not mowing the back yard. Yet still being charged full amount. Then now Chorbie has been charging and not mowing lawn at all. Poor customer service. Stay away!

After all this rain, and unable to mow due to leg surgery, we called Chorbie and they came the next day. Our backyard was highly overgrown both weeds and grass. I have never been so happy and impressed. Daniel worked hard for 2 hrs, and my yard never looked better. Im so glad I called them. Weekly prices are in my budget, and reasonable. I was given a quote for weeding our flower beds for a large amount of money. I called back and left a message that I wanted to discuss the fees and maybe do something differently. Next thing I know, they started the work (w/out my approval) and changed me 450 dollars and did 1/5th of the beds. See pictures. They will not refund and claim they had the right to charge me even though I NEVER authorized the work. Use another service!

I was very unhappy with the work done on Wednesday. They ran over one of my lids to my sprinkler system and cut it to pieces and they said they would replace it next Wednesday. They have cut up two of my plastic pieces on my down spouts and cut up my small fences around my bushes. They mow too fast and dont care what they hit. Can you have someone else do my yard.?Please call me and let me know. They think its funny to destroy things.

The guys do a good job at mowing my lawn, but lately its been a hit or miss with blowing around my AC. In the past, they have always blown the grass from my unit really well.

I have a very small front yard. Which started good and was very well taken care of. Over the past few years my yard deteriorated severely. The service always had different people and I always had to communicate with the the bare spots and the bad shape of my yard. This year they blamed everything to the weather. I ask for someone to come over, he showed up and all he did was giving me excuses of why the yard was in bad shape. He also blame me for allegedly blowing him off( He showed up late and when he arrived I was on a work call that I cannot leave alone for long). Anyway, he later used that and just made excuses if the yard. He did not offer any solutions and even the manager never call me back. I don t really recommend them for the service, non responsive, no accountability and very bad customer service from the people working the yard.

Proceed with caution with this company, they are very deceitful thieves, pay close attention to the charges, they do not send invoices. Please note their response was only for show to trick current and new customers to think they operate with integrity. I have yet to be reimbursed or any response, this is over a week and it is not a complicated issue to resolve. If they operated with integrity, it would have been resolved with a couple days. I have 3 beds, two are so small ane one medium, no way in anyone universe does it take that long. I guess I was charged for them taking their 1.15 lunch break. Gave them a chance, worse company to go with. Its been over 2 months still havent a quote for mulch. Yesterday they stole from me and I will be reporting. Since I told them not to go over 2 hours, they thought they were slick and charged for two people, which I never asked and was never told that they would send out two as I would have said NO!!! My cameras and I saw one person. Proceed at your own risk, companys that are deceitful and thieves I dont do business with these types. I cancel everything oh and by the way the weed fertilizer treatment doesnt work since they started it actually grew so many weeds. Which is what they upcharged me.

I recently had the Chorbie crew complete a hardscape project along the side of my home. I was very impressed by the initial amount of time and effort Drew gave my considerations to the project and really listened to what I was trying to accomplish. They moved my fence line, built a new gate, extended my french drainage down to the sidewalk and then added hardscaping with flagstone . In general the service dependable. But, I have two concerns: 1) The contract workers do not speak English 2) The contractor is not keeping the mower blades sharp, and because they mow so fast the blades of grass are irregularly cut and lay over. It does not promote a healthy grass lawn.

I set up a mow and blow service with this company. I did not sign up for any other services and told them spring / summer only. I was going to use them every spring / summer. They were still doing mow and blow in December. I specifically told them this was for the spring and summer. No leaf removal no hedges mow and blow only. Unbelievable $47 every 2 weeks to mow nothing (grass is dormant. Will not be using them this year after I cancel.

Please thank Collin Lowe for his efficiency. I had requested that he call me or knock on my door upon arrival so that I could lock my pets in the house, but he didn t do it. Luckily they were busy inside the house and didn t escape. It would be next to impossible for me to catch them, as I am disabled and don t drive.

Last week I had them come out for their new service, JUNK REMOVAL. We had been stacking up stuff in the garage to be taken away by our Citys BULK PICKUP - but with Chorbie offering it; we tried it. I observed Michael Bridges, inspecting the shrubs in the front and the back of the house. He was meticulous in his observation of the blooms, roots and trees. And at no time did I I think he was rushing to complete the task. The money I spent was worth the inspection Michael did, since we had such horrible February winter weather. I appreciate the favorable report Michael gave me. He did not try to sell me a service I didnt need. Having dealt with many people at Chorbie, since I became a customer, makes me realize I have the right company to take care of our needs. All are responsive, professional, ethical, and do everything possible, to make the customer satisfied.

I have a mixed review. In summary buy your own mulch. On the positive they were responsive, thorough and worked within the timeline provided and met my deadline to clean my flowerbeds. On the less positive I dispute the quantity of mulch they used. (I usually do this myself and have hired another company to do it before who used 50% less). I appreciated they could have used more than what was used in the past as I did remove two bushes. However, I doubt that would mean double the past quantity previously used. I do appreciate that when I followed up, they responded. At the same time, I am annoyed as this is a verifiable, mathematical question. The reply was essentially, no youre mistaken. So, if in a pinch and not well enough to physically clean out my own flowerbeds I would consider using them. However, I recommend you buy your own bags of mulch.

I have had this service for about 8 weeks now. Their service is as regular as clockwork but the fact that they won t touch a weed growing around a flower bed has me thinking that I might go back to what and whom I used before this company. If there is a weed anywhere in your yard and it is near a flower bed then you have to pay an extra fee for them to breath on your flower bed and do anything to remedy that weeds existence. When I say extra, I am talking in the hundreds of dollars. Update on my review, the service is regular but the fact that they charge extra to break out a weed eater has made me cancel my service. I need someone to make the yard look decent, not just mow.

We use Chorbie for all of our fertilization, weed control, etc for our yard. They always give us a reminder that they are coming and our tech, Garrett Cone, sends us an email after the treatments to let us know if we need to water afterwords, etc.

Chorbie handles my lawn maintenance and flower beds around 2 years so far. They are always on time and did an excellent job. They are very professional and responsive. They do care about what they did by following up to check if everything is OK. I will definitely recommend them for any lawn maintenance and landscaping needs. Weve been using Chorbie for our pest control, mowing, and weed control/fertilization for the past 6 months. We had brand new sod that was full of weeds and they were able to get our lawn looking great within the first couple of treatments. We had an issue where something was accidentally broken on our property and they were quick to resolve it. Katie was very responsive throughout the process, always keeping me in the loop on the status. She even followed up after it was resolved to ensure it was acceptable to me. They have great customer service and I would recommend them!
