We highly recommend Valdez Lawn Care based on our own experience and the work that Carlos and his crew performed in our front yard. We wanted artificial grass (turf) for low maintenance and to safe water and Carlos did a fantastic job with its installation. He also planted some perennial plants (to prevent weeds he placed mulch) to give some color to the front of the house and we have received a lot of complements from our neighbors.
Valdez is a great professional, along with his crew,,very good guys.
My experience with this company, especially Carlos, was extremely unpleasant. The trees in our front yard were destroyed after an incident so we began looking for a professional gardener. After seeing all the great reviews, we decided to go with Carlos but after our experience I’m not sure if these reviews are real. Carlos was very unprofessional. He did not finish his job and he stopped answering all phone calls. We asked Carlos to plant a specific kind of tree to which he agreed. However, when he started planting it, it was obvious it was not the same. We told him but he would not listen and he would get mad and act very unprofessionally. Once Carlos stopped answering phone calls, we called other gardeners to check his work and they all said he did a horrible job and did not know what he was doing. I have had to pay other gardeners to fix Carlos’ work. Working with Carlos was a waste of time and money, I wish I had known how unprofessional he is. I will be adding pictures of his work.
Great service, very professional, took my back yard from unusable to a beautiful yard, Carlos is very easy to deal with very prompt and does a wonderful job, definitely 5 ⭐️
I hired Carlos Valdez this spring to repair what I thought was a hopeless lawn. I say hopeless because the previous owners had ivy plants growing for over 50 years. I waiting this long to write a review of Carlos because I doubted that he could get rid to the ivy plants. After many tireless afternoons of pulling roots and grading (to my precise specifications) I am happy to say that Carlos accomplished what I asked him for in March. Hiring people is not easy but my experience with Carlos has been pleasant. Highly recommended for the Fresh Meadows and Hollis Hills area.
I called Carlos up for an estimate. He showed up the next day as promised. He gave me a reasonable estimate and after negotiating a little we made a deal. He did a spring clean up for me and was very thorough with my property. He cleaned up my property and got my lawn prepared for the summer ahead. He takes his time and doesn't botch the job like other landscapers. I've dealt with a few landscapers in the fresh meadows area and Carlos is like no other. Really up front friendly guy who knows what he's doing.

Ive been using Valdez Lawn Care for three years now. It first started with just yard cleaning and recently sod installation. Each time Valdez did a great job and at a reasonable price. Ive also use him for snow removal. He is professional and gets the job done in a timely manner. After the sod installation, he has even followed up with me to see the grass is and given me advice on how to maintain the grass. I highly recommend Valdez Lawn Care.
Simple mow and remove bags of grass was done quick... and the equipment used was quiet as well!
This is a very professional company I am the witness and neighbor of Pablo Cruz. I saw the work that was done. The landscaping company did a very good and neat job I would recommend them to anyone who needs to do landscaping jobs.

I would recommend Valdez Lawn Care. Carlos is open for discussion and keeps his word for what he promises to do to the lawn. I had sod installation done this summer which is not a good season to do, but with Carlos s detailed instructions as to how to take care of it right after the installation, the lawn is beautiful.

Requested a quote for a spring cleanup at about 4:30pm on March 11th, and was contacted by Carlos within an hour with an estimate. Scheduled the service for the next day and couldnt be happier with the results. Will update with pictures at a later date.
Carlos is reliable, responsible and professional. He planted several small trees in our front yard which are thriving. He is responsive to our concerns. Last fall he started maintaining our lawn and the results were superior to our previous gardener. We look forward to using him again. Positive
Carlos did a great job for us even though it was out of his usual type of lawn care. We have a small, 3 tiered front area of the house that we rent in Astoria and could not find anyone to weed and put down mulch, etc. Then we came across Carlos and the Valdez Lawn care. Carlos was willing to do this one-time job for us. He did a great job and the front of the house looks neat and cared for. THANK YOU!

Called for an estimate for lawn & hedge cutting. Was advised someone would come the next day in the afternoon. No one showed up. No one called me.
I used to cut grass myself, and I had back pain all the time. so I decided to hire a professional lawn care company to help me do the job. Carlos does a great job on keeping my front yard nice and neat. He also helped me replacing soil and new grass, and of course he is good at it. I am very satisfied with the result. He comes every week, never missed a single one. I m lucky to find such hard working, professional, responsible landscaper.
I called Valdez Lawn Care to schedule an estimate in the morning and they were able to fit me in that evening. We wanted all the weeds removed from our overgrown backyard and vines taken down that were covering almost half of our house. We received estimates from other companies and Valdez Lawn Care by far was the most reasonable price. I asked when they were able to do the work and he said he ll do it now! Will definitely use Valdez Lawn Care again.

My friend recommended Carlos Valdez Landscaping to me. She knew I was having a problem trying to look for a gardener. I called a few, they made appt, and never showed up! But Mr. Carlos Valdez was the most reliable and professional landscaper!! He came to look at property and gave me a price. It was very reasonable, so we agreed on a 1st cleanup day. He is puntual- he said he would come by 8:30am and start by 9am. He called me to let me know when he arrived. Just as he said, 8:30am. He did a beautiful job. The property looks so neat and perfect !! That sealed the deal right there..... I knew I wanted him to be our regular landscaper every year. And if that is not enough...... this person is very respectful, and professionally courteous!! I would recommend him to anyone..... you will be pleased. I even suggested that he write those adjectives that I used to describe him and his work ethic; Professional, Reliable, Responsible, Respectful He smiled, but hes too modest. I have been using Valdez services for over a month now and Carlos does a great job everytime. He reviews the property well before starting the work and gives pricing beforehand to give heads up. My property wasnt taken care of for a long time before i moved in but thanks to Carlos, its a great sight to wake up to now, highly recommended!
