Aeration is the practice of perforating the surface of the lawn, allowing air, water and nutrients to penetrate deeper into the soil. We employ the "Core Aeration" technique, by removing small "plugs" of soil from the lawn. (About the size of your finger). The holes created by aeration allow the grass roots to "Breathe", and stimulates aerobic activity that nurtures the soil. The soil plugs that remain on top of the lawn quickly decompose, returning refreshed and oxygenated soil back into your grass. Mike took the time to listen to the challenges I had with my lawn and took additional measures to treat my lawn after a very thorough aeration.
