This is simply the best place in Fountain or southern Colorado Springs for landscaping. They sold me a great rose bush that is thriving and they helped bring my lawn to life. Listen to them and you can t go wrong!

Nice selection

I had looked at every home and garden center in town looking for Anaheim peppers to plant and nobody had them except for Spencers. I was elated to know that they had plenty in stock and the plants looked wonderful; along with a couple other miscellaneous items I needed. One woman who worked in the garden section helped me get everything I needed plus the gentleman at the cash register even carried my stuff to my car! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place for any of your garden essentials!!

WoW oh WoW! WoW! WoW! I discovered Spencer about 5 years ago and just absolutely loved it/them (although I only shop at Fountain, CO location). I spent every last dime I have at this place. When I ordered two plants from Monrovia and realized I can pick them up at Spencer, I jumped at the chance because I loved this place. I didnt love them so much when they charged me an extra $20+ per plant just to hold them for a few hours. I felt like I was charged twice for the plants I ordered because the plants cost only around $30+ from Monrovia (I am not telling you the exact amount because I am embarrassed to say that I didnt call Spencer to ask how much they will charge for receiving and holding the plants until I can pick them up). I received the call in the morning and picked my 2 plants up in the afternoon. As much as I want to support the local businesses, I will be shopping at Lowes and Home Depot from now on. I am not rich enough to shop locally, after all, we are just on the military pay scale.

Needed advice on how to mend a broken tree. The staff spent the time necessary to explain the process and options. The lesson was not rushed and was greatly appreciated.

Great store! They always have something awesome to buy. Check the hours though as they close a little early compared to most businesses in fountain. We got our orange tree and fertilizers here but they have a lot of plants I still want to go back and get

Anyone that loves getting your hands in the dirt and sprucing up your yard, this is the best place to shop! They have everything! Wonderful people that are so knowledgeable and dont mind lots of questions!

I bought some expensive roses last year with warranty they told me if it dye I can bring it back so one of them dyed and the other one is good I pulled it out of my garden and took it back and it was exactly the same month I bought them last year so they didn t take it back and told me I should have brought it on October I said nothing was back to life on that time so how would I know on October if it s dead or coming back to life I had to wait as everyone know how these things work here in Colorado anyway I was not able to replace it or get my money back I thought to share my experience here with you all thanks

Very great service! All employees were very helpful and resourceful when it came to the amounts that would be needed, as well as great direction, in application, and In giving many helpful tips. They even went as fas as helping load the compost and soul bags into the truck! I give them an A++!

I usually don t leave reviews. But this place was super helpful. Not great with plants, but I took a chance and bought something. Well fast forward about 5 months and my plant was dying. I took some photos and came in to ask them what I needed to fix the situation. They did not try to sell me any unnecessary fertilizers or anything. The staff member who helped me had so much knowledge about the problem and I was able to remedy the situation. Will definitely be back!

Pretty great place to go to for more of your common garden supplies as well yard supplies and the fresh local veggies etc. The staff has always been nice to me when I came in and they do refill propane tanks here by the way.

Great folks and fantastic customer service

The prices are higher here but I think it shows they take better care of the plants than big box stores. The employees are passionate about what they do and will give you the info you need to succeed. They helped me to my car, helped me load the tree in and gave the nice, extra step of putting a bag around the bucket so soil didnt end up everywhere. I will be back...i wish there was more frequent tree shipments-if they are out of a certain tree, you have to wait until next year. Stock goes fast!

Pretty good selection! Super cute lawn/garden statues/yard art. Plants are priced well, but some planters were higher priced than I was willing to pay.

Very helpful, knowledgeable, and gave great advice in where to place the plants. Ive always gone to big stores likes lowes & Walmart. Way better quality plant here.

Would not honor their tree warranty. Told when I was considering purchasing from them I would have a year warranty. When the tree died, I was told they only warranted the tree for 4 months.

Best little place is South Springs to get flowers, bushes, and trees.

I just started going to Spencers. I am SO glad I did, I have had a couple of complicated issues with my lawn/plants. They have helped me identify the issues and solutions, are reasonably priced, and every lerson in their Nursery is incredibly knowledgeable, VERY helpful, and very, very nice. As I stated, I am so glad I finally went and will continue to go because of all of the positive reasons I wrote above!!! Definiteley give them a try!!

Ive been shopping here for the past few years, picking up flowers and plants now and then. Theyve always been friendly and have great plants. Today however they really showed how amazing their customer service is!!!! I happened to be there today when a severe thunder/hail storm hit and they encouraged me to stay safely there until the storm passed. They checked in with me to let me know how much longer the storm might go and once it slowed enough to get out of the store they walked me to my car with an umbrella, checked my car for damage, then loaded my flowers in so I didnt have to get out of the car. I cant thank them enough for not only their beautiful flowers they carry, but for what wonderful people they are!

First time, and last time customer. For what this part is worth, the employees give off a rude-vibe, from entry to exit. No welcome, no good bye. The attitude throughout is that of being put off... We received help, but only after approaching and requesting it. Only to be excused by the thin young woman after mere seconds of interaction, and never returned to us. There are other establishments that sell lawn care products, and flowers. Save your time and money on this place, check out any one of the better businesses out there.

The staff is terrific and went above and beyond. Thank you. We were stuck in the parking lot near closing with a dead battery. Two staff members gave a jump and we were on our way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Great shop too.

My family has been going here for years for propane and gardening needs. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Theyre also personable and remember their frequent customers. The place is kept clean and always looks great. The cat is also super cute (if you can find her)!

Its so refreshing to walk into a retail place and have someone there who is really kind and helpful. I always find just what I need at Spencers and it is a pleasure shopping there.

This is a great Garden Center. I always go there to pick up propane they refill the tanks save a lot of money doing it that way they have lots of nice plants to choose from and they even have garden vegetables that you could buy in the summer

It was a fun little garden expo. The panels were useful (Colorado trees & bushes and straw bale gardening). There was a small fowl contest with chickens, ducks, geese, & a turkey.

Well be back soon. The place is very friendly and welcoming, also well-stocked for this early in the Spring. We loved the koi pond and will be back soon once the summer planting plans are firmed up. They were full of useful information and I never felt shy about asking questions.

They never really have anything. I just went in and a lady with a really bad spray tan was staring me down like I was going to steal from her very limited supply of house plants. Like no thanks. Whenever they do have stuff.. it s extremely overpriced. There are better green houses in the springs you should support, with much, much friendlier staff!

Awesome shop with a good selection of trees and plants. The staff are amazingly helpful, I was picking up a large covered bench and a couple guys loaded right into my truck, no hesitation to help at all. I have really enjoyed coming here in the past. When I had my house built, part of the package was that I was able to pick out a certain amount of plants/bushes/trees here. When I arrived at the store, I was met by a really pleasant staff and was taken around by who I believe was the owner, and was taught a little bit about all of the varieties. On the day my landscaping was to be done, they showed up on time with everything. Very personable customer service. Five stars!

So proud of my family! My great Uncle Noble started selling Christmas trees in 1934 and it blossomed into Spencers Lawn and Garden Center. Still family owned and operated to this day!

Staff needs to only ask once if the customer needs help not every minute following the customer everywhere I got money and work hard for it,Oh and by the way they are a big rip off their rockwool cubes cost $17 and at grow warehouse they cost $12 not cool Spencers.You lost a local customer.
