We have used various services provided by Buffalo Outdoor over many years and have been very satisfied with all. We currently use their fertilization, conditioning and weed prevention service. Our yard has issues with less than ideal soil composition, old growth large trees and drainage. Buffalo Outdoors program is working very well for our yard, and we think it looks its best year round. Their applications of product are well-timed, not rushed and always cover all of our propertys unique spaces, such as parkways and around the many trees

The team worked all afternoon cleaning up the plant beds and trimming back the overgrowth. They did an amazing job. I couldnt be happier.

Jonathan really knows his stuff and besides doing the irrigation fix and testing it. he re-programmed each station duration, and patiently explained our entire sprinkler system to me. (Including Master cylinder, backflow, and variable voltage...etc...) the man is a real asset to the the community! 5 STARS!!

I let my yard become an over grown mess. The rains have been wonderful but my small mower could not do the job Hector and his partner listened to my needs and wants. Using residential mowers they made my overgrown yard lovely again.

Used first cut for 1 yr on my new construction home s lawn. I never saw any improvement in my lawn. I didn t see any effects on weed control. Even had them come out to spot spray. This yr I ve used regular feed and that s worked better than their service.

We ve used Buffalo Outdoor since they were First Cut Lawn Care. Our yard is 99% void of weeds. When some pop up during spring, we can easily pull the few weeds out. Their customer service is great. Once they treat the yard, they legally have to display a sign to show treatment. One time the sign poked a hole in our parkway drip irrigation (the builders didn t bury the irrigation but an inch from the top of the soil) and they came out to repair it. Excellent service and competitive prices sets them apart!

My front and back lawn was basically pure weeds and with a few consistent treatments the weeds are gone! We also use bush/bed cleanup service and they do a great job pruning and weeding. We ve been customers for 2 years and are very happy with the results

First cut did an excellent job on my front lawn and background. I was always going to the big box stores to purchase fertilizers and anti-weed products in both granular and liquid forms. I kept loosing the never ending battle with the lawn, until First Cut arrived wiped out the various weeds that haunted me during my weekend chores. First Cut is first in my lawn care needs.

They give advance notice when they were coming out and always on time and both the technician and office personnel are all very friendly and helpful. We started with First Cut in 2021 because we wanted our newborn daughter to walk on nice grass when she started walking. At the time, we had a ton of weeds and some spots where grass wouldnt grow well. First Cut has always been professional and clear in their communications about service, and responsive when we have questions. Now we have very nice grass and no weeds. Our toddler actually takes her shoes off when she goes to play in the backyard because she likes the feel of the grass on her feet. Mission accomplished!

I use their pre & post emergent services since 2020. It works! It sprays green just to show the spread. All my neighbors use it! So it s a plus when everyone catches on so weeds don t spread. I pay around $70 for 6-8 throughout the yr. It s worth it because I don t have time as a mom nor want to pay for the product.

Love this company! My grass has never looked so good since we started using First Cut Lawn for our weed and fertilization control a year ago. My favorite thing is I am emailed several days before each visit on exactly what they will be doing and when. This allows me to mow if needed. Then they always leave me a note when they leave telling me when I need to water to get the most from my treatment! Thank you for making this process so easy and affordable!

After calling, I got a very quick return call and in less that 10 minutes had them scheduled for their first lawn care/spraying a week later. They showed up on time & quickly sprayed the yard. No fuss, no muss.

We have used First Cut now for about 4 plus years. We use them for several services: mowing, edging, blowing, and fertilizing/winterizing our lawn. We used them for a spring plant bed cleanup and mulching last year. Each crew member team has done a beautiful job of lawncare, cleaning up, mulching and planting some plants for us over the last couple of spring clean-ups. The crew member teams are very professional, personable and gracious. We are set up for a couple of continued services and I am very pleased and happy with First Cut. We have referred a few of our neighbors to First Cut and they continue to use them for several of their services. AWESOME JOB FIRST CUT!

They said they would call before coming and they never have. Really dont appreciate it because we ended up paying $79 for a service we did not need. If you dont want surprises this may not be the company for you. I expressed multiple times I needed a heads up before they come to do anything to confirm whether I even want or need the service. They never have any of the times they just show up and then im charged Update: May 11, 2023 I asked to have all services CANCELLED on APRIL 21, 2023 because they were not notifying me like they said they would prior to coming Somehow they showed up randomly AGAIN and charged me for services i once again DID NOT ASK FOR and asked to have cancelled. So 1 star, cant reccommend now

I have used First Cut for mowing and fertilizer/weed control for the past few years and I would highly recommend them, particularly for mowing. They are reliable, consistent, and always do a great job. Definitely give them a shot if you are looking for a lawn care company!

second post. First cut has 5,000 customers. More than any other lawn and garden services. And now they do pool cleaning if you have one. This is the third year I have used them and the sin qua non the best in the business. If you want your lawn and garden done right, use this company rather than jive 25$ a week company. They e-verify. On hot days I give them ice water or lemonade. Sometime I make food for them so they dont have to go to a convenience store to eat. When it is 107f outside provide help like this. BEST IN THE BUSINESS here. Sharp mowers, excellent hedging, hedge plants and pick weeds or plant plants. Great customer service and solid management. You wont go wrong. I have tried every lawn service around here. They are the best there is. If you have an issue it will be made right. I wouldnt use other companies. 110% excellent.

They make numerous promises and they never deliver on them. They make you sign up for a three treatment service at the beginning. After the first treatment I knew there were going to be issues with this company. After three treatments my lawn still did not look any better than it did at the beginning. They kept stating they would come out an re-apply, yet they never showed up. Worst of all, every time they came out, they kept trying to sell you other services that you do not need. I asked my boyfriend to fertilize my lawn - one simple scotts weed and feed application and that did the trick. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. ALL THEY DO IS LIE.

I used Buffalo Outdoor (First Cut Lawn Service) for 3 years. They were great! The lawn was always cut weekly by the time I got home from work for that day. I never had to think about it or use my (very) valuable time off to do it myself. The grass always looked crisp and so did the edges. Customer service was friendly and always returned calls from voicemail, if needed.

These folks are top-notch! They are very responsive by email and phone and they have so many services available. My lawn stays beautiful all year around. They do great work and their follow up is second to none. Whenever weve had a rainy week that messes up their schedule, they always provide an email with an adjusted date. And they always come when they say they will. I love the online payment option. It puts my lawn on auto pilot and we get no more nasty-grams from the HOA.

They even offered a wood delivery with winter storms approaching that I took advantage of. They also offer a LOT more services that I do not elect but hope to one day. Weve used them for the last year and theyve done a great job for us. When we initially bought our house we had a major issue with bindii (goat-head stickers) in the back yard and some spots in the front that needed attention. We signed up for their pre and post-emergent treatments and they were gone after the first couple of treatments and we have not had a problem since. Theyre very communicative and let you know well ahead of time when your next treatment will happen and allow you to reschedule if needed. Overall weve enjoyed the service and the improvements to our yards.

Love First Cut! When we moved into our house the lawn was in HORRIBLE shape, totally overrun with weeds and bare spots everywhere. Thanks to First Cut it s completely turned around - lush, full and not a weed in sight! The entire team at First Cut Lawn is wonderful. I have been through several lawn companies who charged a lot for minimal work (extra for weed, etc.). Not only did First Cut Lawn make setting up my weekly/monthly service so easy, they did an exceptional job of cleaning up my yard and bringing it back to life. They cleaned my flower beds, added mulch, planted new flowers and cut hedges. It was a full day of work, but the results are so beautiful!

I do not recommend this company. We used them for a year, and things were okay at first but we ultimately decided to cancel due to sloppy work. They edged right through our sprinkler line and also bumped into one of our flower pots, knocked it over, broke it, and said nothing. Saw that on the doorbell cam. They also increased their prices and it wasn t worth paying more when they don t take care when completing their work. We found a new lawn care company that is cheaper and we are happier with.

Did not even mow the lawn charged us. I supported them because I thought they were small business. The broke our glass front door it was beveled we got smooth glass back after 6 weeks we let that slide because they were small business This is unacceptable our lawn was not mowed they only mow the front

The office staff was great. For the most part, the actual lawn services were always performed well. However, there were several issues that came up that displeased me: 1. The lawn guys, for about 2-3 weeks, would never put my outside rodent bait box back in its proper place after blowing it out in the yard with the leaf blower. 2. One time one of the lawn guys left the gate to the backyard wide open, to where the dog could have easily ran away. 3. About two weeks ago, one of the lawn guys had the handle come off of one of the fence gates. The real issue with this is that no one from the company even told me about it. I had to discover it for myself. 4. They broke the glass on our front storm door. Once again, accidents happen. This sort of thing has to happen from time to time in the lawn industry. They told us that they would get it replaced. They couldnt find a match for the particular decorative glass that we had. So we were told that since they couldnt find that glass, that they would replace the storm door altogether, if thats what we wanted. So far as to tell us to go to home depot or Lowes and pick out a door and send them the model number. They called back and decided they would pick it out so that we wouldnt have to worry about going over their budget. Then basically they went back on what they said and told us that they would only replace the glass, not a new door altogether. We are still waiting for the issue to be resolved ultimately, and the accident happened 3 weeks ago.

Website says they service Fort Worth, but apparently not all of Fort Worth. I was told they didnt service my area.

After no longer being able to take care of my yard needs myself I turned to the folks at First Cut. Having never used a lawn service before I was very unsure of what to expect; now I can say without a doubt I m now spoiled. The team is always professional!! We started using First Cut Lawn Services in the late fall of this year. The first thing I noticed was how quick they were to respond to my call and then subsequent contact via email! It was refreshing to get such a prompt reply. For a very reasonable price, they began mowing, edging, and trimming our lawn. It was always on time and looked great. When the growng season was about to end, they contacted us to double check when we would prefer our last cut of the season. It has been nothing but a pleasure dealing with First Cut!!

The crew always arrived at scheduled time and did a great job with mowing and weed eating and blowing of patio, front entrance and driveway. I was always pleased with their work ethic.

Same time, same day, every week and they make sure your lawn stands out from the rest of the neighborhood. MUST READ! My husband called sometime January and asked if they will spray the grass to get it ready for spring. Next thing I know two guys are trimming shrubs in the front and back yard which is fine at the time since my husband was the one who talked to them, figured he added that service. Not until I saw how much they charged us. Less than an hour of service $99.61! I called and asked how in the world I get charged for that amount and was told two guys worked and that included the mowing. I said that s fine other than the fact that nobody mowed so they refunded $40.13 back. So I told them we were only looking to have the grass sprayed and not mowing and trimming so they sent someone to spray and charged $64.90. I thought everything got straightened out until March 4th I saw another charge of $99.61! We were leaving out of town so wasn t able to call but when we got back by March 18th another charged came off the account of $40.13! I m starting to get furious so I called and I asked what s all these two charges about and this woman said it s for mowing because you re set up weekly .. I said definitely not and told her to cancel everything altogether and don t want their services anymore. I thought I was cleared until they called my husband asking him if they would send someone out again! My husband told them I think my wife just canceled the service and this woman said she only cancelled the mowing and you still got two services left to spray the yard that s already been paid for! Which is not true at all! So this guy was in my yard again fixing to spray and I told him not to, he said ma am your husband ordered the service called my husband and he told me what he s been told that there s two more left and it s been charged already so I thought since it s been paid for we re gonna do it. Just as I thought they charged again $64.90 for that. In just a matter of a month and half this company charged us a total of $337.35! Unbelievable! We never paid anything as ridiculous like this when we had other company come out before, and grass still the same except it s been mowed and shrubs were trimmed once.

This is going so great. My poor lawn. Neighborhood full of mature trees. I bought the house last fall. The lawn looked awful. Just a few weeks after I hired First Cut and it already looks great. They leave a door hanger with all of the info. Email if theres a rain delay. They lock your gate back. And they dont blow clippings onto my crazy, crazy neighbors yard or into my pool! Theyre awesome.

I used to want to cry when I pulled in to my driveway and looked at my lawn. It was in such bad shape. But since First Cut has been taking care of my lawn, it is a beautiful green lawn. The back yard was also in bad shape with lots of weeds, but now it is beautiful and there are no weeds.

I have them on a by weekly basis which works out good for my situation, but I have noticed that the last few times they mowed they missed areas of the yard or didnt edge. The last time they mowed they cut off a crepe mertal that was about 20 inches high, this is the second time this has happened. I e-mailed them 6 days ago as of the day I am posting this review and havent heard anything from them. I know accidents happen and that cool but at least reply back when I e-mail

Absolutely poor service. Every time they mowed my lawn they were so lazy they wouldn t mow under my trampoline or even weed wack around the patio. It was awful dealing with them and honestly over priced. They wouldn t even come now my lawn one last time after service was terminated to have it ready for winter. 0/10 do NOT recommend

Not overly impressed, a high school kid does the same job for half the price. They did a good trimming job on the sidewalk but Im really not happy with the trim around the house. Do you really think I like brown trim line??? Probably just to save time for next week? Im canceling my service. Pictures of before and after within two days.

I am very impressed with First Cut Lawn Services. I had been with my old service for almost a decade and their service had become unreliable. I tried two other services who were both unreliable. First Cut not only shows up, but they are polite, quick, and do excellent work. They have been mowing different directions instead of putting rivetts in my yard. The crew came out today to cut the bushes and clean out my flower beds- pristine! Since their pest control started spraying, there has been no ants invading my home. And nary a weed to speak of. I get emails and texts about when they will be here and what to expect. The do what they say and I dont have to call about the schedule. Plus, they bill according to their policy. Great work on the yard, efficient back office, reasonable prices. I wish I had called them sooner!

I was initially unsatisfied with my experience due to a misunderstanding about services and pricing. I reached out to the company and spoke to the operations manager, CJ who was very nice and made some fair adjustments to my billing to compensate for the misunderstanding. His professionalism and assistance saved them a future client. Before I spoke to CJ I was infuriated, but now I will consider returning to them in the future for my lawn care needs.

This company has exceeded my expectations! They have responded to all of my questions and emails in a prompt manner and my yard is doing great. I highly recommend this company and its a great bang for the buck!

My husband worked out of state, so when he was home we didnt want to spend our time together doing chores. I tried multiple law service companies who eventually failed to show or had to come back because something wasnt done correctly. NOT with First Cut! The second time they came out they forgot to do my patio area, but 1 phone call and they were back the next day to correct their mistake. In the entire year we used them, I never had to call them back. They are there when they say they are. They are quick and the office staff are so friendly and responsive when you call. Very affordable prices! Im just sorry we moved out of state and couldnt take them with us!

Stephanie from FCLS is so friendly, respectful, courteous and very diligent. She is also very knowledgeable and goes out of her way to make sure her customers are happy. Ive been with FCLS for 2 years and have been very happy! It is hard to find one that is honest, do what they say the offer, do it right and most importantly, very courteous and pleasant to work with! She will make sure they come back and correct anything that wasnt done the way the customer asked without any issues. I would recommend them 100%. I have had other lawn providers in the past that do not want to do any weeding in the garden beds, were inconsistent, did not provide fertilizing and weed treatment on the lawn so its so nice to have a one stop lawn service provider!

From start to finish, First Cut is First class. From the very first call with the knowledgeable, friendly staff I was impressed. The initial call was very informative for a first time home owner, that goes a long way. They are on time, very friendly and rescheduled when I forgot to unlock the gate! Never tried to upsell, but made me aware of so many things. They also offer so many services such as mowing/ scalping that I didnt take advantage of, but they always made sure I was aware of offering. In addition, THEY NEVER TRY TO UPSELL. And there were never any hidden fees, everything was executed exactly like conveyed. Great friendly staff and highly recommend.

Not as happy as I was hoping to be.. both times they ve come out they are here and gone within a few minutes without even a hello and I now have more weeds than before seeking out services. Disappointed as I was wanting to see if one service would lead to the next, but, the search continues for lawn care.

Folks at First Cut have been managing mowing and fertilization and weeding care for my rental property for past year. Their responsiveness and letting me know when stuff is needed or when their schedule has changed because of weather, etc. is fantastic. I love that once I got set up, First Cut took care of the rest. They show up on time every week, and the quality of the service is excellent. My only complaint is that they do not trim out grass that crops up in my mulch beds. To be fair, First Cut told me that garden beds are a separate service. They edge around the beds - I just wish they could go the extra few inches and remove the grass on the other side of the edging. I look forward to working with First Cut again in 2020.
