Sometimes good Customer Service is hard to come by in todays market. That is until today, as TruGreen has employee Sarah Y. Companies seem to have more of a turn over in many jobs and most employees arent given the time to service customers as once was a priority for most companies. Well rest assured that Sarah does both time and excellent service to her customers. A Business succeeds by 1st its People then Process and finally the service or product. Without good employees and process the service or product will fail. So TruGreen you made the right choice with Sarah when you hired her and she will help keep me as a long time customer. Thank you , Sarah you deserve to be recognized for showing the customer matters. You go the extra that it takes to put a smile on their face.

Cole did an excellent job today after the last few Applications were done incorrectly. He took the time to listen to my complaints and assure he would correct the problem. I walked him around the areas that needed treatment and asked to be careful around my smaller trees that have must of been sprayed previously. I hope to continue to have the service that was provided today by Cole. He s very polite and friendly to work with.

If you cancel their service, you will be bombarded with phone calls, texts, and mail attempting to persuade you to re-sign up with them. And they will tell you one of the oldest lies in the book: We are under new management; it will not be the same as before. My lawn had numerous weed patches from what they overlooked. I canceled their service in the middle of the summer last year. I can do a much better job doing it myself, and much cheaper.

I told sales rep I was not interested and next day I get a call from a rude man wanting to argue while I am at work why his product is good. The guy asks me why I try to start telling why and he starts rudely talking over me. I would never use this company for sure now.

He informed me they do not do lawn mowing when google services states lawn mowing in the services tab. But he was nice.

We met Joseph. i really appreciate his friendly, helpful personality. He answered a question for me. Did a great job.

Our trees and shrubs are looking much better. The tree and shrub specialist, Sarah is very helpful. She takes time to explain what shes done and what we need to do to fix some things ourselves in addition to treating the trees and shrubs.

Its February, the existing snow just melted yesterday. Today I receive a text that Im scheduled for a pre-emergent treatment tomorrow morning, when the low temp is calling for 21 degrees. Its impossible to contact the local office/shop, calling the local number goes into a switchboard that spins your call out like a ball on a roulette wheel nationally. The service rep contacted was 750 miles away and clueless about lawn maintenance, but agreed to reschedule the treatment for Spring. Ill update as I reevaluate my service. Hey guys, heads-up, youre not off to a good start.

The discount of 50% doesnt apply to basic application. I went with a less expensive company and now keep getting phone calls non stop. I called and ask them to remove my name from their call list and got hung up on. My recommendation, go with someone else. Unprofessional!

Havent even had service yet, but there has been so many problems no one can take care of in a timely manner. Definitely thinking about canceling service before its even started. This has been such a hassle!

I need someone to mow my yard. Sat on the phone answering questions after they said they would to be told no we can t w your yard but provide nutrients for it. Now they won t quit harassing me get five calls and texts a day from them all around the country.

Pretty reasonably priced if you prepay for a years worth of services. Already seeing the weeds being choked out after one treatment.

Gab was professional and respectful to me as well as the property. He answered all my questions before and after treatment was finished. He was friendly and approachable in his demeanor. Nice to see that in a young person today. He seemed to enjoy his job and took pride that he had worked his way up from residential to commercial even though our place is residential.

Albert was great today. Very friendly and he watched that his hose didn t hurt our flowers.

Chem lawn treated our grass. Bruce was great !!!! My husband accidentally let dog out. And Buddy ran to neighbors and Bruce got him back safely in house. I was gone. Bruce great!!!!

We used them for the first time last summer after buying a house. It was excellent. We could tell a major difference after just 1 application. This summer it has been the absolute worst. The guy that they send to spay our yard doesn t do what he s suppose to. The 1st time he came this year he stood at his truck for 30 minutes, sprayed my front porch, and then left. Didn t touch my yard or back yard . We thought maybe we didn t see him or something and let it slide. The 2nd application 6 weeks later I happened to be out back with my kids. He only sprayed the front yard and then left. Did absolutely nothing else. So we filed a complaint. They rescheduled us for someone to come right back out. THEY SENT THE EXACT SAME PERSON. Guess what?? He still did not do the application right. He is very careless and doesn t spray what he is suppose to. Imagine that. Very unsatisfied with trugreen this year. We will not recommend or use their services again.

Sarah answered all my concerns and made me feel comfortable with my decision using TrueGreen. A week ago my yard was sprayed for mosquitoes. Not sure what went wrong but after making a call they came back out and respray at no charge. I was able to communicate my concerns with Sarah as I have a trees behind my house and it has been the first time in 15+ yrs that Ive been able to go out and enjoy my yard. Would recommend TrueGreen to my neighbors and friends.

If you hire TrueGreen you flushing your hard earned money down the toilet. The guy they sent to my house supposedly completed an assessment, fertilized my grass and treated the weeds in 6 minutes. Tracked him and watched on my camera put my bill on the door and go back and sit in the truck.. I gave them a second chance but asked they not send the same lazy guy (Andrew) which they agreed. To no surprise, Andrew returned to spot treat my weeds in 10 minutes flat.. I do better yard work than this service but I work long hours. If you want better service for your money, hire a small business that actually needs the money and cares about quality!!! When I cancelled they did not try to get me to keep the service because they are used to being fired!!!

They always let you know ahead of time when they are coming and when they are finished

I looked at trugreens website for a quote. As soon as I hit enter on my info they called. I told them I was only looking for a quote. And ife get back to them in a few weeks, that I had to discuss it with the other tenants. They asked if ide like a follow up I said no. They have called multiple times a day every day. 6 times in 3 hours and i told them to stop calling and they havent. and now emails are coming in from employees of trugreen offering me private cheaper services. I feel like Im being pressured and harassed into using your services. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

They do actually know what theyre doing

After going through the entire back and forth, they were able to get close to my current provider, I decided to try them since I am not completely happy with current company. Had to call the 800 number to verify that I signed up for the services, only to be quoted a higher price. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and recalled Harry at the Ft Wayne location. Said he corrected and I needed to call again only to get the exact same price which was different from what he originally quoted me. I am out at this point, I would recommend that you be out too!

Tried to leave after hitting someone s vehicle very unprofessional

Treated our lawn in error. Got the run around when I tried to explain over the phone that they came to the wrong house. Had to call back to speak to another person because the 1st person said she couldnt help me at all. The second person told me they didnt have anyone on my street. Come to find out, it was my next-door neighbor that they missed.

Albert did a great job today. He was friendly , thorough and treated all areas of my lawn. He also treated the ground ivy that is getting out of hand.

Tried to get one quote and now they will not stop calling and texting and emailing. They have stopped by at my actual house and put letters under my door. And it s about stuff I didn t even ask about. You d think if I haven t replied to anything I don t need it anymore or it s too expensive. Which 100 dollars for one spray seems excessive. And when I told the guy I didn t have enough money to split with my partner on the phone he said well I m sure you can come up with 25 each. Like not everyone had a bunch of money to throw around sometimes. Just felt degraded so I hung up on him. Y all need to stop harrasing people if they stop answering. I get pressuring people to buy stuff but y all are just awful about it.

The service works - no weeds and a lush green lawn.

They will lie to you!!! Do not trust this company!!! Paid them over $1000 to seed and fix my lawn. They came out and didnt even touch the backyard where we need the seed. They didnt puncture the ground to help it drain like we paid for. And getting ahold of a manager is like pulling teeth. We definitely should have read there reviews before hiring them. They will not be getting any more business from us or our close friends or relatives.

These guys show up and are on your lawn for less than three minutes. They act like their spring or throwing granular depending on the time or season. They do not cover your yard and they cheat you. Beware beware beware

The need to have more communication with the customer they have call before the come to the house

I was contacted by the company. Given the phone number of the local office. Called. Never called me back. Called again. Gave up. Went with VisionScapes

I was charged for a service that was never provided. I received a text saying that tech was on their way to service my trees and shrubs and about 30-45 minutes later a text saying that my service had been completed. I was actually waiting to speak with the tech which is how I know they never showed and they never showed up on my ring cameras when the service was complete . Save your money, go anywhere but here.

TruGreen has been my lawn care service for many years and will continue with them, hopefully, for many more. The reps have answered any questions I have had.

Today my husband and I are both home and witnessed our specialist Kyle Darrow not complete the services we are subscribed to. He was on-site for aeration and overseed. He only did the front yard, approx 2,000 sqft, and left. He never stepped foot in the backyard. He then invoiced us for the entire 7,400sqft. As you cannot contact the local branch on Transportation Drive here in Fort Wayne, we could only call a customer service 1.800 number. We were told he couldnt come back out because he had finished our work order out and had a schedule with other customers to keep. But, they would reschedule our service within the next week. There is no accountability, no integrity, and no customer service. This service was $400 and they are robbing their customer base. The rest of our neighborhood uses Spring Green and clearly that is where we are going next. They refused to get anyone back out today, would only provide a partial credit, and said if we refused to pay they would send us to small claims court. There is no longer customer satisfaction or doing whats right. In this economy, these services are a luxury item and not an essential you would think companies would try to keep their base. If we hadnt witnessed this we would have never known. Furthermore, how are we guaranteed that the additional service would come. Additionally, how can we now trust that services are being rendered as our service agreement states. We typically arent home and have no idea if this has happened before. 100% would never recommend TruGreen. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB. Our current invoice is $456.84.

He did a great job, my lawn looks better this year than it ever has.

This year has not been their year- which is crazy because I ve paid more this year. First issue- their app had me scheduled, then they never showed. When I called it was going to be another 10 days before service Today they said in the app that a specialist was at my house. Well it was a good thing I was home because no one actually showed up. So they were going to charge me for a service they didn t even do. It seems like every month I m calling for a re spray because my husband and child have welts from mosquito bites less than a week after they spray for mosquitoes. The only reason I gave them 3 stars is because last year their service was better

They do a good job and are quick.

This has to be the worst lawn service I have ever used! I mean, seriously! I was with Galbraiths for several years and thought Id save some money. Horrible decision. My entire property is camerad out. Every time they would come out to service my lawn I would watch them skip entire areas of my lawn. ENTIRE AREAS! I would then call them and theyd send someone out to re-do my lawn. The next time they came out the technician would skip areas again and theyd have to come out and do it again! I have had my absolute fill of this place. After numerous trips out to re-treat (do what I paid for) youd think they would pass along that I watch everything live on my cameras. Clearly, they dont or the guy just doesnt care. Today was my last scheduled application of the year. I received notification the technician was at my property to perform the application. I watched. I watched him ONLY DO MY FRONT LAWN, run his hose in, and drive away. This place drives me crazy!! I called them again and got the me so sorry response and asked for the Fort Wayne office to call me personally. If they do this to me on a regular basis what are they doing to others? I know I have bad luck, but this is ridiculous! If you are a current customer I strongly encourage you to look at your cameras or install them. If you are looking to use TruGreen I would recommend getting cameras installed ahead of time. I have canceled my service with them and signed up with Galbraiths again for 2023. Definitely, a lesson learned. Im sure Ill get the canned were very sorry response or email us with more details...we care response. They should already have plenty of notes on file and recorded phone calls for quality assurance on file. No need for a canned response.

I only give them a one star because I had asked for a certain type of treatment that was I was having a lot of spider issues and Id ask them to come and spray to remove the spiders from my property and come to find out that they only came and sprayed for mosquito which I did not ask for and then they came back and I had actually called a second time and asked for them to fix it and then the second time they came back and sprayed a second application of mosquito spray and charged me when I had complained about the first time they shouldnt have charged me for the second time they did charge me for the second time and when I called back the second time they informed me that it was just a mosquito when I asked specifically for a spider killer which they did not have so if you are looking for a spider killer do not contact them that its not an offer that they had a service that they provide which is why I give them a one star

Update:It is now Tuesday- still have not received a return phone call or lawn care treatment. Call placed again- message ...approx wait time to speak with agent 1 to 2 hours... Service agent did not complete service because pets (chocolate labs) were in yard- however never bothered to come to door to request pups be put inside. Agent sent a text message reporting the pups were outside after agent had already left. Attempted to call TruGreen immediately after receiving text -however their message reports having a 2 hour wait for their return call. New service this season- not impressed.

prepaid for 4 applications in August of 2020. They were to apply two in the fall of 2020 and the other 2 in April / June of 2021. So far, theyve not applied the April 2020. When I tried to call this morning at 8:05am, I was told there was a 15-20 minute wait, so I opted for the auto redial. They did not return the call. At 11:04, I called again, this time it said there was a 1-2 hour wait period. That tells me they are busy selling new customers, and not taking care of the ones they have. UPDATE: just called back at 1:58pm. Was told there is a 2+ hour wait for a return call. So, I decided to call back, and this time, instead of pressing the menu for a question of an existing customer, I instead pushed the new customer service option. Guess what? Yep, a live person answered within 5 seconds. So, to my point, they do NOT care about existing customers, just prospecting for new. Makes sense, if you only pay commissions to your sales staff for new customer generation. Ill be shopping for a new lawn care service when my next two applications are applied.

Been a customer for almost 20 years and in the recent years I have had 4 trees killed and they have been spraying them, when I asked about this they told me I was driving my mower into them when I mowed but they re in my shrub beds surrounded by rocks so how would I do that. I was told I could pay $50 a month and have been doing that for years but then all of the sudden I was turned into collections for not paying my bill? -Sally Betten

I prepaid for weed control, pest control and mosquito+ spraying. Today I received a text saying the guy is here for my first service. I was home and saw the truck out front but the guy never treated the back yard. I got a text saying service was completed with no mention of MISSING BACK YARD! The call center kept me on hold for 45 mins, with no answer to why they missed back yard. I highly recommend against their service.

You guys have no idea about what you are doing. My lawn is totally burnt after the last application. How can the grass which was fully green turn into this color overnight??? Is someone listening??

i have tried to cancel three times since last year. they keep showing up applying treatment and sending me a bill. they are impossible to get ahold of and are NOT honest! STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. UPDATE - I promised to update my review after giving them a chance to refund my account. Its been a month and ive made four phone calls, each one about an hour long, and have been assured each time that my account would be refunded. Its been a month and no refund. They have hundreds of dollars of my money for a service i did not want. They are thieves. Stay away.

Burnt yard and unprofessional trying to get it resolved and still waiting to fix the damage yard.

This is the first year I have had them fertilize and control weeds in my yard. They are doing a great job as the weeds in the backyard were bad. They just applied Landscape pest control. There are quite a few issues with some shrubs Looking forward to see the results! Positive

My DOGS had nerve reactions 3x, twice on feet from grass application & trigeminal neuritis in the face that caused mouth not to close for a month, after a tree application. They never sent Vet requested ingredients data safe sheet for toxicity treatment. WEEDS GOT WORSE with every application despite complaints. Full blown thistles are growing in my grass along with dandelions & clover all over a 4 foot wide perimeter around yard, gardens, tree stumps & trash can areas bc they do not do hand shaken applications after multiple requests. Even reapplications didnt help.. They skip entire areas 6x10 & 4x6 areas!! And yet they are more expensive than Spring Green (but Weeds are 10x worse).ì

I used TruGreen for my lawn care and was unsatisfied with the results, as the treatments did not help my lawn in any manner. Then the following time of the year they showed to my house and performed treatment without my consent or knowledge and STILL charged me!

Omg! Do not go with this company! They completely ripped off my sister. People need to know that this company doesn t top soil or seed the lawn. They are not an honest company! Lived with her for 6 months and the entire time there that company did nothing for her grass!

I paid for 6 services up front and they never showed up to service my lawn. A month went by and trugreen never showed up. I schedule many services and trugreen still did not showed up. They did give me a full refund which is great, but I would never go with Trugreen in Fort Wayne they are terrible

Biggest joke ever! DO NOT USE THEM!! They quote you for the entire footage of property that they dont fully control. I had to call them to come back and do the back yard. Ive tried to pay them NUMEROUS times and i get confirmation that it goes thru but then they call you 900x a day to get money from you that you have been trying to give them since day 1. I will never recommend them to anyone!!!

We are done with Trugreen. Been using Trugreen 2 years after doing it our selves. We have more weeds than ever. Round driveway, terrible round landscaping where there are no flowers, trees or anything to get damaged. Have talked with the person that shows up numerous times about the weeds still in my lawn. They say ok or will go back over the spots with weeds after done spraying. I even went out again numerous times showing them where. Okay well will special spray there. I watched and they didn t.

I had a serious problem, that had taken over my yard, I had Creeping Charlie? Seen one of the Techs from TruGreen while I was on my morning walk, he came to my home, checked it out, gave me a price, and I got the first of seven applications, and with two more applications to go, my yard looks better than it has, in ten years? Very good service! They call ahead to let me know when they will be coming to do my service. I like that! Also, I really appreciate it when your service provider guy leaves me a nice paper report about everything that was done and the name of the chemicals used. Positive

What I requested be done(yard boundaries) was not. Called out 2x and thought we had resolved. Contacted vendor and they tried 1x to reach out. Unacceptable customer service.

I decided to let TrueGreen take care of my yard this year. The first application was on time. The person was very professional. explaining what is being applied and the reason. Give me some help to make their work better. I am looking forward to get my yard back in shape.

Every year for the past 4 years I have asked them to STOP coming to my house. My HOA has a NO SOLICITING sign posted at the entrance but they keep coming. One person just took it upon themselves to start walking around my back yard without permission and didnt wanna take NO as an answer. Now they have stuck advertising signs in my yard. .some of which i didnt see because the little placards blew off and now my mower is damaged because of it. I have left several messages and they wont call me back. Who does this?? Why would you stick black sign sticks all over someones yard WITHOUT ASKING??? You owe me a lawn mower blade and an apology!!

This company is horrible to deal with! When I set this up i thought i was getting a great deal but turns out they lie about what you are getting and had my boyfriend not been home for the first couple applications i would have not known that the things i was told I was getting wasnt even actually on my account! They are nothing but a hassle and i have yet to see any difference in my lawn. Now yesterday I got a notification they were going to come to my lawn when it was storming so i contacted them again and was told that they were moving me until next week which was fine but then this morning Im told they are coming out today again when its suppose to storm and rain all day! I will never get their services again would have been way easier to just do it myself then have the hassle with them choose a different company!

TruGreen, please take some time to re-evaluate your customer service practices as well as your organizational structures. You are in desperate need of some accountability measures, customer service training, and better connection for customers to their local representatives. Every time you call you get someone different and usually from a different state. It makes it very difficult to manage problems and find solutions to service questions. After a lot of complaining and calls back and forth we finally got our first application completed.

They do a very good job,and the workers are nice

I am so upset with this companys service considering how large they are. I signed up for service 1 month ago because I have lots of weeds and my house, and I just wanted my lawn to look really full and green . They came out to spread weed killer and fertilizer, not only did that do absolutely nothing to kill even 1 weed but the gentlemen told me they would be out again in about 1 week for grubs and they never came even after 1 month. They have good service as far answering phone calls and being polite and their app is nice. It would be nice if they kept their work and actually cared for your law.

The applications seemed to not work as effectively as the last place I used. I have a lot of weeds still in my yard after 3 applications. There was 3 different spots that were completely dead also. Looks like they put too much in one spot, it was nice grass in those spots also.

Do not like their notification of less than 24 hour notice that they are coming in case you need to cancel

We have tried to keep our lawn green and weed free for years, using the typical fertilizers and weed killers which anyone can purchase. Even though we carefully followed all directions, the lawn never stayed green, and the weeds always seemed to proliferate. In despair of ever having an acceptable lawn, we decided to contact TruGreen. Their expertise, persistence, and quick response to any of our inquiries, has resulted in remarkable progress. They began servicing our lawn in late summer, and by the Autumn the weeds were virtually eliminated, the lawn was responding with green growth. At this point, we are fully satisfied with the TruGreen Lawn Care program. Another point is that when we considered the cost of our man-hours in lawn care, along with purchasing the many products, the financial cost of TruGreen was just about equal.

A quick call to the service manager to set up our service and the weed and feed program was easily the best bang for the buck. Pending clover extinction will take before and after shots.

Trugreen folks have a hard time following your instructions. I have some concerns with my trees and shrubs so I asked if someone would meet me at my home so I could show them area that are having bug problems. Long before I get home the guy has already come and gone before I got home. Totally not helpful to me. My trees and shrubs are still getting eaten up by bugs and the guy says he will be back to repeat and never shows or calls. Now it takes 2 weeks for the guy to come back out. So, they will be spraying trees and flowers that are eaten badly by bugs and now looking horrible!!!! Whats the point now damage is done. At start of season I had to beg them to come spray my trees and shrubs before this happens and only got a bunch of excuses why they are behind!!! I have had this service in every state I have lived in and so far Indiana as far as the trees and shrubs have not followed up or delivered on what they are getting paid for!!!!

Lawn looks great and still improving.

They didnt ask how big my yard was, and didnt cover the whole yard. They claimed to know, based on something in their system. They used the least amount of grass seed possible, didnt take into account any existing bare spots, and just put a meaningless amount of grass seed throughout the yard for the aeration process. 9 lbs of seed for about 12,000 square foot is what I consider to be useless. It was like a single grass seed every few inches, even in the bare spots (which I have plenty of). They even missed two of my largest bare spots. I didnt notice a difference in weeds, or any new grass noticeably coming up (I watered twice a day regularly, early morning and just before dark). Also Ive heard that youre not supposed to use weedkiller in the first year of a new lawn, they either didnt know that or didnt take it into consideration either. Useless service from my experience. The areas Ive treated myself look nicer than anything Trugreen has done and I honestly dont really know what Im doing lol

No interaction with the technician. He usually comes and goes as per the call I get from the office. I do have some weeds in the lawn, but I attribute that to the lack of rain and weeds growing faster than the grass. So far happy with tru-green. been a customer for several years

The afternoon prior to my lawn service, I was contacted by the representative, informing me of service scheduled for the next day. This enabled me to have the gate open and my dogs kept inside. The service agent arrived, knocked at the door and completed the lawn service. Service reps are always polite, knowledgeable, professional and efficient. My lawn looks 100% better, using TruGreens services.

You had a lawn spray guy across the street from me about an hour ago. I was inside my house with minimal windows open just cracks because its not too warm out and the smell was so horrible I quickly closed all my windows. It did little good though it permeated throughout my house and now I have a headache from the smell. My son rode his bike home as this tech was over spraying and he was overwhelmed by the stench of chemicals also. I want you to know this is not the first time I have had this experience with your company and its poisons. Same results last time also. I dont use chemical companies such as yours so I am not part of this problem and you should be ashamed of yourselves for trying to kill off people and animals just to make a buck. It is breezy today so I can take it that your company does not know the cardinal rule of spraying which is NOT ON WINDY DAYS!!!!!! I would much prefer if you did not spray at all. Oh and thanks a bunch for the future health problems we in this neighborhood will undoubtedly have from your greedy carelessness. Today is 6/1/2015 and this headache better go away soon because I know your address.

The guy applied the lawn treatment, then patiently and politely answered my questions regarding mowing schedule. His customer-oriented attitude is consistent with the other TruGreen lawn and tree specialists Ive talked with.

We have a pretty big yard. I feel the grass has improved greatly and the weeds are really disappearing since we started the service this year. My only complaint is that as I watch the representative spray the lawn, I see the areas he has missed with the spray. I wish there was a way they could see where they sprayed. I have had to call them back to do weed control and of course they came and it greatly improved. Other than that, I would say that I am very happy with the service and improvement I have seen so far and am very happy that we have gone with TruGreen.

Our problem weed area has been corrected! I always get a phone call the day prior to service, and the tech leaves behind a note (if were not home) to explain what he did and any other problems hes seeing that we should be aware of. We easily added an additional service to treat an insect issue, which was rectified with just one treatment. Im very pleased that we choose Trugreen for our lawn care this year.
