Gentleman walked up to our door, after having treated the front and side lawn, asking how to get into our backyard. We did not hire this company to treat our yard, we dont treat our yard. Now my lawn has toxic chemicals that I didnt want on it. Our house and our neighbors, who actually hired them, both have the house numbers easily visible if the guy had actually looked to verify. Theres no way to undo the damage. Extremely unpleased.

Paid for 2023 application. Still had weeds. Did NOT renew for 2024. Kapps came out anyway & billed at higher rate. Do not contract with this company.

Started with their service two years ago after fighting with creeping charly in my lawn for a couple years before that. Kapps had good pricing and we also added their insecticide. Second year, prices went up, which is to be expected since I joined with a promo offer. The next year, went up even more. Started shopping around and considering my options. I could always count on them to call and upsell me to other products (tick control, grubs, etc.) and the caller always sounded put off, shocked and offended at my decline. The quality of their work was okay but not stellar. After this most recent price hike, I decided to go back to treating my own lawn. I cant say any of the other providers impressed me all that much or gave me reason to select them.

They get fertilizer all over the sidewalks, driveways, and patio every time. Difficult to reach by phone.

They are quick on replying by email or phone! They always call the day before they are coming. Kapps has spread for weeds and sprayed fertilizer down. We have the greenest yard in the area. Thank u so much Kapps!

Best my yard has ever looked

After 4 treatments our lawn was dead. Owner said this was normal. I canceled all further treatments but they continued and even billed us for seeding. I checked all of our cameras and it only showed their worker receiving himself behind our pool. Now I have to go to small claims to pay for nothing! This company needs to seriously reevaluate their priorities.

Best lawn care company around!

We had many treatments done by Kapps and it never got rid of the crab grass or weeds. The treatments they did, did not make any impact. We had to treat our yard ourselves after many treatments from Kapps and only after we did our own treatments did we see any difference. Once we started doing our own treatments, we started seeing the crab grass and weeds die, plus our lawn became greener. Waste of money!

That take care of your yard

This company is a scam. They put fertilizer on my lawn which caused excessive crab grass to grow everywhere. They also never respond to phone calls to cancel their service. They actually showed up unexpected wanting to treat my lawn again after I called them twice to cancel. But in the past they have called me at 8:30 at night to try to upsell. If I could give them a negative rating I would certainly do so. I will never use this service again! Any positive reviews are probably fake.

Always try and use local companies. My yard has never looked better. Fair price and worth every penny. They are on top of it!

Great experience so far for fertilizing yard and weed control

For 3 years they have consistently started treatment for crab grass too late. Every year Im told it was too cold and every year crab grass is a nightmare. Now, even clover is coming back. Definitely will not be using this service again

Forgot to call me the night before so I could unlock my gate, therefore my backyard did not get treated. I called the same day and havent received a call back yet.

Ive used Kapps for more than 20 years. They stand by their work. Any time that Ive not been happy with my lawn (its rare), they are quick to address it. I get a lot of compliments on my lawn from my neighbors. I always tell them, Kapps deserves the credit, not me.

They make a mess then dont clean up

Do not use Kapps! I had them perform standard lawn service for a couple seasons as well as edging. While edging, they missed part of the property and the portion of work they did complete was very crooked and choppy! When I contacted them to report my frustration and request they come and fix it, they did not respond so I stopped service and short paid the invoice by the portion of work not completed along with sending a letter requesting resolution. They continue to send an invoice every month for work that was not completed, but never responded to my request for resolution.

Office staff was never a friendly

I just spoke with Kapps about their service in my subdivision. I dont use their service but a lot of people in my neighborhood do. Their technicians do not blow excess fertilizer off the sidewalks leaving a mess for people that walk their dogs through the neighborhood. They didnt seem to care about the health of our pets. They will only blow the excess fertilizer off the sidewalks if their customers request it. If you use their services please request that they provide this additional service for your neighborhood. I have observed other lawn care companies provide this service on every visit.

Ive been using a service to fertilize my lawn for about 23 years and have tried just about all of them. I left Kapps twice for a bargain price, but quickly came right back. Theres no comparison. My lawn looks great, they pick up the phone when you call, they immediately respond to any problems by sending out a manager, and they have been spraying perimeter of my house for bugs with good results the past 2-3 seasons. Great company!

Results you can count on! Regardless of the shape your lawn is in now, I suggest you give them a try. Their mix used in applications has done wonders for me. In the beginning with new grass that wasn t coming in, they helped it come in fully. Now I use them for maintenance. My grass is thick and very green now, and I have Kapp s to thank!

good company, but i advise you stay away from Belgard pavers, three years of efflorescence issues and no resolution from Belgard, the Unilock products look ten times better

Neighbors ask us who does our lawn

I get the mosquito and Foundation spray each year, It works great and my kids can play outside without being attacked by Mosquitoes

Worst company ever.. don t waste your money on these guys.. My grass is dead and all my neighbors grass is green.. I pay money for green grass, but instead I get dead grass.. SUCK!!.. Kapp just came to my lawn.. looked around and wrote on my bill.. And it says water for best results . Didn t bother to ring doorbell and talk to me face to face.. this company is a joke.. Will never ever recommend this company to anyone at all.. word of mouth comes a long way.. Oh did I mention.. I still got billed for some kind of application too.. what a suck ass company

Very Rude

We have been Kapps customers for 30 years. Our lawn is beautiful, and we often receive compliments. Kapps service is great. They have free service calls so we dont hesitate to call if we find some weeds between applications. The lawn technicians as well as the office staff are knowledgeable and really care about doing a good job. We are happy to support a local Fort Wayne company.

I switched from another company this season whom I wont mention, and immediately I seen significant improvements from not only the technicians but as well as the product and service . Kapps turned my lawn from being brown and thin to a thick green weed free yard in only one season . They are a caring professional company that cares about there customers .
